The sport ball was thrown with a lot of skill and experience and hit its mark straight on and sucked the music-making bug inside swiftly. They wouldn't be able to claim it right away though, as a scyther decented from above and landed with a foot on the ball, claiming it as its, or rather just using it as an excuse to challenge Anton and make sure they'd battle it. (Since I was told I can drop a potion on Clingly between rounds, I will do so which should put the mareep at 42\43. I already deducted the potion.) Anton looks at the recent catch and had already decided to release the kakuna if the kricketot is caught. Before Anton could move, a scyther came down to claim the kricketot. As annoying as it is, the appearance of the scyther puts a smile on Anton's face. He would care less if this is one of the rare Pokemon and past winners in previous contest. All he cares about is facing one before he meets Bugsy for the gym challenge. He wonders if he would win the contest if he captures this scyther but at same time it is the experience he really wants. His current strategy for Bugsy may depend on this one encounter in front of him. Before he orders Clingly, he proceeds to dig out a potion and spray it on Clingly. He planned on doing this anyways but this fight made it even more needed. "Alright, Clingly, this is the one I was secretly hoping to run into. I want to treat this as if it is a gym fight against Bugsy. Let us start out with one of your more newer moves by using cotton spore. I hope it drops this scyther speed down enough so it won't fly completely around us."
Clingly enjoys the healing potion with it restoring most of the energy lost from the previous battles. She then listens to Anton and is surprised at the change of tactics but it makes sense. The mareep starts to shake and cotton like spores start floating towards the scyther. Anton stares at the scyther with such concentration one would have thought this was a gym battle.

"Alright, Clingly, the first step is done. Now, let us use thunder shock with a small hope of getting this one paralyzed. Even if we don't, it should help with the capture. I think our last capture went so well because of the paralyze. After this attack, I'll use a sports ball with hope and fingers crossed. Part of me wants to take this one down to the last bit of strength but I am exploring the strategy I have in mind for your part. Regardless of the result of this battle as long as we defeat it, you will gain experience and I think might be enough to evolve."
Clingly nods as she charges up her electricity. Once enough is built up, she launches the spark attack towards the flying green bug. This might be one of the few times she might have an advantage over her opponent. The idea of evolving helps her with her courage and motivation.
Once the discharge happens, Anton digs out a sports ball. If this catch happens, he will have to decide between three Pokemon. To his surprise, the kricketune sort of grew on him because of it being so different. However, scyther is from his home region so if anything, he should keep it out of nostalgia sake. The kakuna never held his interest. He had one too many bad experiences with beedrill as a child and probably been stung a few times if it wasn't for his family pontya. If he is honest with himself, though, he probably wouldn't use scyther much so best chance it would go to Selenia or be released.

This round went with what he hoping but wasn't expecting. The paralysis did happen but not from the thunder shock but from Clingly's static ability. Anton knows all too well how effective that can be if Clingly put some thought into it. Maybe his words helped her build up enough static that when the scyther hit, there was enough of a build up for the paralysis. Now it is time for a sport ball to come flying towards the scyther. He hesitates wondering how things would go if the scyther broke out. Could Clingly survive another hit? Anton looks down at the ball in his hand. He reattaches it to the belt and digs out a potion. Once Clingly is healed, he than tosses a ball at the scyther.
(OOC: One sport ball used and a potion. The potion is self deducted.)

Scyther leaped forward and it was lucky Anton had gotten healed Clingy a bit first, as the scythes cut harshly into her sides. They got tangled in her wool though and it was an easy target as it tried to pull them free again. A buzz was heard right beside Anton's ear, and when he looked he found a tiny little cutiefly who was looking curiously back. Do you want to release Kricketune to keep Scyther? Anton is glad everything worked out but this is getting costly in the potion department. He figured it would happen so not overly surprised. He takes the ball that has the kakuna and releases it as well as grabbing the ball holding the kricketot. The two pokemon look at him and then each other.
"The judges have a rule where I can only keep one bug Pokemon and I just caught a scyther. I am sorry, kakuna and kricketot, but both of you are now free. Kakuna, I hope one day you will evolve into a beedrill and kricketot, go play some wonderful music. It might do you and other bug Pokemon well to have some sort of concert since I'm betting there are other musically talented bug Pokemon here."
The two bug Pokemon nods at Anton and then moves away. The kakuna is a bit slower than the kricketune so the kricketune helps the kakuna up into a tree and then heads off towards what sounds like a melody. Anton then goes and find the ball holding the scyther. With all of the decisions of the bugs, Anton doesn't realize Clingly's evolution until he feels a tug on his sleeve. He is not suspecting anyone or anything unless it is Aglaia who he needs to catch up with. When he turns to see who or what it is, he is briefly taken back to see a pink sheep looking things standing on two legs.
"Clingly?"
Clingly smiles mischievously and Anton gets a shock from the wool portion. He would know that charge from anywhere and now feels a bit more powerful. One of these days, he is going to have to figure out an electric proof suit which is still functional for every day travels.
"Nice to see your new form, Clingly. I am betting the rest won't recognize you. Now, let me see if I can find Aglaia to see how she is doing and to show you off."
Anton runs around the area and somehow spots the short girl. He heads her way to see her fighting a blue and yellow bug that sort of reminded him of a fancy drinking bottle he seen at his parents' house. They said it was filled with a special drink he wasn't old enough to try yet. He didn't care what the contents were but did find the shape to be amusing. He decides to wave and shout at his friend.
"Hey, Aglaia, how you doing? Clingly evolved into a flaaffy with this latest battle! I also caught a slyther!"
Before he could get any closer a yellow small flying bug got in his face. Even with the new form, Anton could tell Clingly could use one more potion before this next opponent. He is really glad he did a bit of shopping with Selenia before starting this. At least the contest provided the Pokeballs.
"Alright, Clingly, let us see what your new moves can do. Let us use charge and prepare for this next fight."
The newly evolved flaaffy nods as it faces off against the smaller foe. It is the tiniest thing she ever seen but isn't letting her guard down. She charges her body with electricity. Her wool starts to glow a bright yellow while her pink skin remains cool.
(Self updated Clingly to a flaafy and level, dropped odor sleuth for charge, keeping the scyther. Potion used once again. Clingly uses charge.)

Anton knew using charge would give this new miniature Pokemon a chance for an open attack. At the same time, he was hoping the attack wouldn't be too horrible which thankfully Clingly was able to handle it.
"Time to see how well a charged up thunder shock looks now, Clingly. Use thunder shock on that tiny Pokemon!" Anton shouts as he points at the new opponent. He doesn't know how much more time he has but the crowd of trainers is thinning out. He also wants to really catch up with Aglaia before she leaves the area.
"This has been quite beneficial for both of us, Clingly. I am learning about bug types and you are getting in valuable experience as well. I know there plenty of trainers who could teach us about bugs just like I could teach them about fire and electric types. At the same time, I prefer a bit more hands on because reading or hearing about something is different than first hand experience just like your electrical shocks you like to do to me."
With the mention of the shocks, Clingly turns around and smiles which makes Anton wonder if anymore of those will be coming his way with the newly evolved Clingly.
(OOC: Clingly used thunder shock against the cutiefly. The power should be double due to using charge turn before.)

Anton takes a few seconds to look for Aglaia and spots her. The Pokemon still looks like some sort of drinking container but Pokemon do come in all sorts of sizes, shapes, and definitely types. He really doesn't want to spend another potion on Clingly nor any real interest in the tiny bug Pokemon but if he had to, he would toss a ball to hurry up the battle only to release it. The different looks and shapes of the bug Pokemon gives him a new appreciation of them. He then turns his attention, for a split second, to Aglaia.
"Hey, Aglaia, you think we can catch up after this contest? It seems we both are busy with whatever bug we have in front of us."

To Anton's surprise, Clingly started building up electricity again. It seems either Clingly has too much electricity still or wants to play around with the new move still.
"Okay, Clingly, since you decided to charge up this time instead of using Take Down, let us attempt another thunder shock. I hope we can knock this cutiefly down now and see what happens next. I have a feeling we are now out of time."
Clingly nods as the built up electrical charge is released towards the tiny bug\fairy Pokemon.
