Mishu paused in the water and floated with her head above the surface. She stared wide-eyed at her long-legged fox awkwardly trying to tread water. What was Kotaro thinking? He didn’t look as though he’d fallen in. Given the way the large red fox doggy-paddled in her direction, with his head bobbing up and down in the water while choking on the mouthfuls that seemed to flood his agape mouth, she could tell that he’d chosen to jump into the lake himself. But why? The way he swam after her, feet kicking and pushing to propel himself forward, Mishu couldn’t quite understand it! She dived underneath the water and kicked with her legs and arms to spiral in a quick motion towards her Pokemon.
Something blocked her and caused her to stop dead in her tracks. Mishu dived back up with a long, wheezing breath. A wild fish swam up to her boldly to stare her directly in the eyes! The large orange fish with black spots splashed over its scales shocked her initially, though Mishu managed to calm herself down quickly as she turned towards the horned Pokemon. It spoke in a bunch of gibberish phrases that confused Mishu further. It doesn’t seem aggressive… She thought silently and tried to put the pieces together. She turned around inside the large lake and studied the area carefully, paying attention to the other fish that splashed and swam off in the distance. Is it trying to warn me of something…what could it possibly want to warn me of?
Kotaro, however, understood the fish perfectly. He splashed about like a drowning puppy and managed to awkwardly swim over to Mishu’s side. Even though his head would occasionally sink underneath the surface of the water, Kotaro would jump up kicking and screaming, to push his head back up over the water’s edge for deep mouthfuls of normal air. How did water Pokemon manage to do this all the time?! “Of…course…she’s not…not trying to drown…herself!” Kotaro choked and gagged between mouthfuls of water that he coughed up with each successive leap to keep himself floating. “Neither am…I…she’s just…I don’t know really…but definitely not drowning!” He retorted angrily. Why would this fish say such a cruel thing about his trainer?! Why would it even think that?
“You drowning. Trainer swimming!” Karasu circled overhead and cawed at the top of her lungs. From her peripheral it seemed obvious. Mishu excelled inside of the water and effortlessly swam with the natural-born fish of the sea. Kotaro flopped about and just barely managed to keep himself alive. Karasu wasn’t sure how she could help her long-legged friend in such a dangerous situation. Kotaro must surely be too heavy for her to pull back to shore. Could she lead him back, kicking and coughing the whole way? Or could she enlist the help of the other team mates somehow? Then it dawned on her like a bright light going off inside of her head. Of course!
Karasu dived down and landed by the Pokeballs and other belongings Mishu left on the shoreland and tapped Hinoina’s ball with the tip of her beak. A bright light shot forth from the small device and summoned the large black dog with her curved horns and devil-tipped tail. Hinoina stomped one foot down on the ground and howled at the top of her lungs as she paced the edge of the lake nervously. “You are not a fish!” She barked at Mishu. “Come back to shore!” Karasu landed on Hinoina’s head and pecked the top of her scalp. When Hinoina turned to snap her sharp fangs on Karasu, the bird effortlessly soared up high into the air. “Watch it!” Hinoina hissed. To which, Karasu replied, “Look. Kotaro needs help. Use sun power.”

The seaking watched and listened but didn't show much emotions, "so you are drowning, but don't want to?" It asked, "want help to get out?" it added as it didn't get any answer to if they wanted to battle it or not. It ignored the big honchkrow which flew around above them, the seaking had gotten to a size where only the biggest of the biggest pelippers had a chance to wrestle with it but they rarely tried, preferring to go for easier prey in the smaller goldeens and finneons. Not that it was something the seaking celebrated, since what was the point? It had lived long and had grown big, parented a lot of offspring, but what was the point with it all? Had the pelippers gone for it, it could at least have gotten a bit of excitement and pretend it had something to live for, instead of just swimming around and eating and watching your kids grow up and die. No matter if Kotaro and Mishu had expressed wishes for its help, it decided that it was probably the best if one of them were drowning, which Karasu had confirmed from above. A glowing sphere shot towards the sky from land and cleared it from all lingering clouds and made the sun beat down relentlessly. The water pulse the seaking had prepared still shot out but diminished visible before it slammed into the water just in front of Karasu and Mishu and created a wave which swirled them around and pushed them towards the shore. It was probably good it got less powerful as the fish wasn't used to living creatures who couldn't breath underwater and didn't think it would be a problem to quickly push them towards the shore. And making a wave was the most effective. It swam close to shore to see how they were doing and if they needed the last push up from the water. Hinoina jumped forward and buried her teeth in the seaking's backfin, she had to let go quickly though as the fish dived to get free. When it emerged again water was swirling around its body and healing its wounds, it looked sternly at the houndoom and sounded like it was talking to a kid, "what did you do that for?"Wild Encounter Weather: Sunshine (harsh sun 2/5) [attr="class","qkt-bkgd"] [attr="class","qkt-wild-pkmn"] Seaking LV 25 HP 74% [63/85]

Hinoina huffed as flamed licked around her lips. Even if the Seaking thought that it was trying to help the other Pokemon, she didn’t find its commentary to be very humorous. “No one is trying to drown, fish.” She barked angrily at the large orange fish. Who did it think it was, anyways? Some fish that would just help ferry Pokemon off into the otherworld beyond the living plane of existence? There was no way that the fire hellhound would allow this overgrown goldfish target her friends and cause them any sort of grief or anxiety around the situation. “Kotaro, come back to shore!” She barked and used her nose to point towards the soft sands of the shore bank where she stood.
Kotaro flapped against the surface of the lake and spun around with widened, wild eyes. How did fish manage to do this so effortlessly?! Large waves splashed up over his face. His nostrils burned and throbbed with an aching pain from water filling their way inside of them. He coughed and hacked on the water, spitting up mouthfuls back into the lake, and kicked with his back legs to shoot his head just over the surface. “I’m trying…ugh! To save…our trainer!” Kotaro barked in a long, drawn out whine as he awkwardly pointed his nose in Mishu’s direction while trying to keep it up out of the water. Hinoina rolled her eyes and blinked firmly as she studied her trainer. Mishu seemed like she was doing just fine on her own, so why was Kotaro interfering? “I don’t want her to drown!”
Karasu spoke Hinoina’s silent thoughts as she landed on the back of the horned hellhound. “Owner no drown. Owner swim fine. You drown.” Hinoina licked her lips with her salmon tongue and turned her head as best as she could to stare at the blackbird on her back. Was it that necessary for everyone to keep pointing out how Kotaro was so far out of his elements? She couldn’t hop into the lake to swim out and save him and Hinoina doubted that Karasu would be very graceful in the water, either. “Watch it, bird.” Hinoina barked gruffly. “We don’t need to tear Kotaro apart with our words, got it?” Karasu, however, didn’t quite understand what she said that was so hurtful. Didn’t she only speak the truth? Was the large hell beast that blind? “What? Only spoke truth. Kotaro no fish. Only flounders.”
Hinoina snapped at her friend, who shot up high into the air and circled overhead. Still enraged, the large hellhound spun back around to focus her attention furiously upon the large orange fish. “You’re bothering my friends!” It snapped and lunged at the fish from the edge of the lake. She would wait and pace near the water’s edge, trying to paw at the edge of the lake and lure the fish towards her angrily. “And I won’t let you do that!” Kotaro gasped and kicked in different directions, seemingly making no headway in either direction. “Of course I want help!” He finally admitted, answering the Seaking’s question himself. He didn’t want to drown! Hinoina would attempt to sink her fangs into the horned fish’s hide as soon as it swam close enough for her to reach out after it. What an annoying creature!

While Mishu looked to do surprisingly fine in the wave Seaking had made to push them to shore, Kotaro was fairing much worse and the fish would have tried to push him to shore if Hinoina hadn't jumped forward and bit it. It stared at the houndour angrily at the answer she gave to its question, "so you want them to drown?" It asked coldly, "I'm trying to help here, just as I was just confirmed they wanted my help. Make yourself useful and get them up from the water instead of biting me," it ranted and turned its back to Hinoina to focus on Kotaro and Mishu instead, only to get bitten again. It pulled itself free and dived to let the water mend some of its wounds, it appeared a moment later, out of Hinoina's reach. "You are probably the reason they are out here and looking like they want to drown, to avoid you," the fish grumbled and sped up and smacked into Kotaro from below and practically threw him half way up on the beach. It would dive and give Mishu the same treatment if she was still in the water. It ignored Hinoina entirely as it addressed the others, "I can understand you find your life miserably with things like her around, and that things can seem hopeless but you shouldn't accept to be bullied around. Drop her off somewhere if she's a problem, if you need help I have plenty of kids around here who can handle it, no problem," if offered, still without sparing the houndoom a glance. "I know you sometimes think you can change others, or save them but believe me, its not worth it and a waste of time. Folks can only be changed if they wish to be changed, and life is too short for that. Spent it on something you want so that you don't look back with full of regret and nothing to do like me," it said gloomily. Anger drummed in Hinoina’s veins like the sounds of war marching inside of her head. She narrowed her dark crimson gaze harshly on the rotund fish as the Seaking spoke to her. Hinoina’s lips curled backwards, and she flashed her fangs at the fish. Who did this Seaking think it was? She would make mincemeat out of it and drag it to the fiery gates of hell if it kept threatening her and her team! Hinoina’s tail lashed out from behind her wildly and she pawed at the sandy shoreline anxiously. Hinoina’s feverish need to demolish her enemy swelled inside of her chest, though the watery depths kept her at bay.
“Watch your words, fish!” The black hellhound snapped angrily and pawed at the water’s edge. She walked closer to the water, dipping her feet in shallow depths of the shoreline, then hopped backwards almost instantly. The water was cold and merciless! It burned the pads on her feet and caused her to howl loudly as her body ached. This useless waste of space was trying to lure her out into the depths of the lagoon so that it could drown her! Hinoina wouldn’t fall for its tricks so easily! She licked at her lips and paced unsteadily while eying her opponent angrily. “Come say that to my face, you big puffball!” She snapped and pounded her clawed feet into the sandy grounds marking the spot she wanted the Seaking to come face her at.
Kotaro shrieked when the Seaking slammed into his side and knocked him out of the water. He flailed, kicking his feet as he scrambled up the bank of the lagoon and onto dry land. Kotaro’s feet splayed underneath him in erratic directions, and he heaved depth breaths of labored air as he recollected himself. Was the Seaking that offered to help him attacking him?! Was it because of Hinoina and her dangerously strong need to remain in ‘command’ of everything around her?! Couldn’t it see that she was just really protective and only wanted to make sure that nothing was hurting them?! Kotaro shook himself vigorously, shaking away the excess moisture from his body, and crawled off to remain a safe distance away from the water’s edge. “But I don’t find my life miserable!” He protested in a long, drawn out whine. “And Hinoina means well!” He defended, shaking out his fur so that it fluffed up and made him look like one large puffball with long legs.
Karasu swooped down and landed on Kotaro’s back with a shrug of her wings. Was what the Seaking stating true? Not entirely. But did he have a justified reason for thinking so? It would seem so. “Hinoina rough.” She agreed. “But Karasu no miserable. Karasu has no bully.” She stated firmly and began to preen Kotaro’s fur with her beak, even as Kotaro protested and tried to shake himself free of the large carry-on bird. Hinoina smirked, waiting until the Seaking was close enough for her to reach it. If that fish wanted to keep threatening her, then she would give it a good reason to do just that! She reached out with her fangs as soon as he was close enough and would try to snap down on the fish once more to bite it. She had enough of this fish’s mouth and knew of one surefire way to ensure that it couldn’t keep rambling on with such ridiculous nonsense. “Call your family.” Hinoina threatened. “And they’ll suffer the same fate as you.” She barked at Seaking viciously.

The seaking paid no attention to Hinoina and pretended she wasn't there when she snapped at it. It sent her a quick glance when she put her paws in the water and whiningly pulled back again but didn't comment on that either. It was good having Kotaro and Mishu safely up on the shore again, now they had made it clear that they didn't need to end their own life just yet. It looked dryly at Kotaro when he whiningly declared he loved his life, "you really sound like it," the fish commented sarcastically, "is it because you have such a wonderful life that you thought your person over there was drowning and needed your help? Or tried to escape into the waters where it is clearly the only place you can be free from your tormenter?"Seaking listened closely to Karasu, "you also have a way to get to a safe distance if it is too much, your friends on the ground doesn't and I can fully understand that you don't dare say anything out loud with your.. companion within earshot."The seaking winced when Hinoina closed her teeth around its dorsalfin once again and it spun and gave her a slap on the side of her head with a fin to get her to let go. Then it turned back to ignore her again, "some needs to be the center of attention all the time and will go a long way to stay there," it told Kotaro and Karasu, "best thing is to not give them what they want and hopefully they are not too stupid to learn and can adjust. Some though, just becomes vicious and go on a rampage, which can be very scary to witness or be the target off, but you have to stand up for yourself." The seaking said urgently to the two, still acting like Hinoina wasn't there at all. The autumn sun waned as it migrated from the center of the skies, surrounded by thick, puffy white clouds. The Mishu wrung out her long blue hair and shook herself as she pulled herself up onto her feet. The powerful wave the Seaking used to pushed them up onto the shorelines nearly caused the usually skilled swimmer to temporarily swallow a mouthful of water. She coughed and hacked, gently tapping the center of her chest, and alleviated herself of some of the waters she’d swallowed. Mishu began to switch out of her wet clothes and into an extra outfit. She would hang the damp clothing up along the branches in the nearby trees to dry.
Kotaro scratched himself behind his ears as he turned to his trainer, then Hinoina, and finally towards the large orange fish. Was the Seaking just that upset with Hinoina? There was no doubt that she took herself too seriously and tried a bit too hard to lead their ‘pack’ of sorts. Though, in her gruff ways Hinoina did her best to ensure that her teammates were safe and sound from all that might try to harm them. Kotaro couldn’t disagree with the Seaking more. “Exactly.” Kotaro agreed with Seaking’s questions regarding Mishu. The long legged red fox glanced back to his trainer once more and smiled sweetly. “She’s incredibly important to me. I don’t know where I’d be without her.” He explained. “But Hinoina isn’t my tormentor or anyone else’s on our team. That spot is reserved for Yōsei.” Kotaro grimace and stuck his tongue out with a pained look.
Yōsei bounced over to the long legged red fox and hopped up onto Kotaro’s back. He weaved two long vines around Kotaro’s neck and kicked the Thievul in his side with his feet. “Look, Kotaro, I’m a cowboy. Cowmon? Pokemon rider!” He laughed. Although Yōsei tried his best to ‘giddy up’ his companion, Kotaro simply bucked his back legs up into the air to knock the pink imp off his back and onto the sandy bank beside him. “You wanna take him with you instead?” Kotaro asked the Seaking with a light-hearted laugh. Yōsei grumbled underneath his breath and tugged on the vines he’d wrapped around Kotaro’s neck, trying to lead the Thievul away with him. “Come on you wild stallion. We gotta break you in, I see!”
Karasu swooped down and pecked Yōsei on the top of his head until he finally unleashed his grip on Kotaro. Kotaro shook the vines off and bit down on them to tear them into several smaller pieces. Hinoina flicked an ear, turning away from her mixed matched merry little band of teammates. “You think that they’re the ones suffering at my paws, but you don’t know the first thing about us.” She snapped. She couldn’t stand this fish’s smart mouth and the way it quickly jumped to conclusions. She wasn’t the aggressor by any means. As she saw it, this wild fish would have drowned her friend and her trainer without her jumping bravely into the fray. Even now, the brightly colored koi fish tried to persuade them and convince them that she was the villain in this story! Hinoina paced along the shorelines, stalking after the Seaking, and waited until the wild fish was close enough for her to reach out and try to bite it.
“You try to ignore me as though I’m not here, then you talk about me as though I can’t hear!” She barked at the top of her lungs. Mishu turned around and walked over to her canine curiously. “What’s wrong, girl?” Her trainer had been so preoccupied with what she was doing during her swim, and trying to recover and dry herself off when she was pushed up onto the shoreline, that she had just started to notice her Pokemon in the midst of a battle. “Is that fish bothering you inside of the lake?” She asked curiously.

The seaking's point and sarcasm went straight over the head of Kotaro and the fish sighed, youngsters often didn't listen closely to what was really said and just went with the first which came to their mind when talking. It hadn't expected the thievul to come with a confession and be so clear about his situation as he was when he revealed there were another pokemon which apparently was much worse than Hinoina. How that could be with his ruthless and stubborn she was, not listening or thinking more than to her own nose, attacking unprovoked and refusing to answer the seaking's questions was a mystery to it, but he felt with Kotaro if he had two monsters to deal with. It made sense that he and his trainer had tried to escape to the water for a bit of peace, even if they clearly hadn't been made for the element. The seaking looked surprised at Yosei when he appeared and while it didn't say anything, it thought Hinoina seemed much worse than this prankster. Especially due to the way Kotaro was talking about and to the impidimp. It was clear Kotaro and the others wasn't ready to break away from Hinoina, or just not ready to realize the reasons of their actions. A little voice asked the seaking if there was something it was missing here, but it pushed it away, no need to spent time on things like that when it wasn't going to be around them. It sighed gloomily and finally turned back to face Hinoina, "you don't listen, so why talk to you?" It asked but didn't sound like it cared for the answer. It had found a bit of meaning trying to help the pokemon see their situation but they hadn't been interested. "But why bother, I won't make any difference so I'll relieve you of my presence," It said and turned away from them, "good luck," it said sounding like it thought it wouldn't be enough to save them and it dived to speed away. Hinoina gets (25*50) 1250exp. She grows to [Lv 26]! (349/2107) She could've learned Beat Up if she hadn't known it already.
