Aphrodite's warm golden eyes widen as she watched the Gengar endure Titania's super effective move. "Wh-what just happened here? That Psychic should have been more than enough to one shot that Gengar!" Aphrodite stated with a shocked facial expression shown over her face. Perhaps, she had underestimated her opponent's special defenses or something. She was so taken aback form the Gengar's ability to remain standing that she had almost forgot that it is also swift and packs a powerful punch. Aphrodite shifted her attention away from the Gengar onto her Kirlia, who was lying on the ground not too far away from her feet. "Titania, are you okay? I'm sorry, it seems like I may have underestimated our opponent here quite a bit," Aphrodite admitted, slightly wondering if she had made a mistake to take on the evil spirit without training her Pokemon a bit more. The Chikorita would let out a sharp cry to snap Aphrodite out of her thoughts. Aphrodite quickly glanced down at the ill grass-type Pokemon and nodded her head. It was right, there was no way that she could give up now. Titania let out a weak cry as she slowly pulled herself back up to her feet. As much as Aphrodite wanted Titania to seek revenge on the Gengar for cursing the Chikorita, she knew that her fairy princess would not be able to take another super effective attack from her opponent. "You have done a great job, Titania. It's time for a rest." Aphrodite spoke to her Pokemon. Titania stared and grunted at the Gengar for a few more seconds before walking off the battlefield.
Aphrodite then reached for her Brionne's Pokemon. However, before she could release Raina onto the battlefield, Salem escaped from his Luxury Ball once again. Normally, Aphrodite would feel slightly annoyed by her Pokemon's behavior, but this time was different. Salem has managed to get her out of a lot of sticky situations in the forest and he has even developed a soft spot for the Chikorita. Therefore, it is not a surprise that he would want to fight on its behalf, too. "Alright Salem, use Shadow Sneak!"

The ghostly entity studied Aphrodite intensely. An eerie wind swept through the thick branches above their heads and howled like Mightyena in the night preparing for their hunt. It was cold and held a strange cackling tune at its end. A couple of bright orange leaves floated down and spiraled around Aphrodite as though time itself were in slow motion. As she switched her Pokemon around, the Gengar's large red eyes turned with newfound interest in the strange looking doll that moved and bounced across the forest's floor. Hunger drove the beast. An insatiable hunger that dug into the pit of Gengar's stomach. It was a bloodthirsty need to dine upon the sick and frail Chikorita whose life force was slipping away by the second. Gengar smirked and charged off in the blink of an eye, sending large shadows with enough force to completely wipe the small Pokemon out. They slammed into the dummy doll that hid Salem's true form and busted it up, causing Salem's doll to slouch at an odd direction on top of him. What? How could this be?! Salem had only suffered minimal recoil damage when his disguise busted, revealing more of who was the actual Pokemon and who was just a dummy. Gengar screeched angrily at the top of his lungs. Shadows swirled around in a strange fashion. Salem unleashed long dark tendrils of his own that washed over the trees and surged through the air after Gengar. The evil beast's own shadows danced under the pale moon's light with Salem's shadows, making it hard to differentiate whose shadows were whose. Then, Gengar screamed in agony and faded into the shadows as Salem's slammed into him with a fierce force and drove him off into the night. The air mysteriously cleared up and a strange onion headed Legendary would appear at base of the shrine. When Aphrodite approached, it would nod expectantly towards the Chikorita in hopes of her letting it heal the poor Pokemon. Wild Encounter
