A Scattering of Rainbow Wings [Dying Wish]

Adrian was just starting out on this whole journey thing, kicking at a few rocks and twigs as he tromped about the more unruly patches of grass outside the edges of town. Buddy so very helpfully picked up various neat things around them, clearly cheerful and curious and quite happy to show Adrian every pretty flower on their way to Cherrygrove. The last thing either of them really were expecting to wander by was a sick looking kid who was holding out a bug and begging for him to help him see all the different patterns of Vivillion. He'd honestly never seen a scatterbug, much less its evolutions before. But a part of him couldn't really just...walk away? 

Hesitantly, he took the scatterbug, listened to the kid's story, and nodded solemnly. Perhaps this was a sign? He wanted to pursue becoming a breeder one day and surrounding himself with pokemon. This could be a step on that journey. 

"I'll do it...I'll help," he mumbled under his breath. "Just...might take a while..." So try not to die beforehand, he added mentally.

Kent was on a mission! And if his parents had known they would have thought it was a terrible one!
The kid was sick, but he was out of bed as he was tired of laying in bed and watching tv. The shows were good of course, but he wanted some adventure himself! Even though it was rather to get anywhere when every other step got halted by a coughing fit.
The boy had watched a show recently, where the tv followed some new trainers and then he had watched some professor from a foreign region tell about this awesome evolution method of scatterbug and he had awed at all the beautiful patterns. He had made up his mind, he wanted to be a traveling trainer when he got old enough, but he also wanted to start out with all the patterns of the vivillon! How he was going to do that when you were only allowed to bring 6 around with you, hadn't crossed his mind. Kent knew though, that there was no way he was going to be able to travel around and evolve his one single scatterbug to twenty different ones... before he started traveling, so he'd need some help.

Cue to Kent standing on the site of the road leading away from New Bark Town and pestering any and every trainer traveling through for them to help him. He hadn't had much luck when Adrian arrived and the boy being rather desperate.
"Hi, I'm Kent!" Kent greeted hurriedly and more or less showed his scatterbug into Adrian's arms, now he had to stand still and listen to him, that would work, right?
"Please! I really want to go traveling *cough* with Bug here and I'd *cough* love to travel with all the patterns as they are so pretty! But I keep having this stupid cold!" He stomped his foot and coughed some more, that certainly sounded much more hollow and bad than a normal cold, "and I'll never *cough* get them all before I go. My mom says I might never will but that's silly. Will you please please pleeeeaaaase! Help me? Take Bug with you and evolve her so that I can see the patterns?" He begged and made hte best puppy eyes he could until Adrian reluctantly agreed. The boy grinned.
"Thanks! Hurry up.. please! I want to go traveling soon!" He said excitedly, finally he had found someone to help him! He patted Bug goodbye and handed her pokeball to Adrian before he carefully made his way back to his home, looking anything but a lively, active kid.
