Like most days, all was well in the region known as Johto. But today was looking exceptionally bright for two young Pokemon trainers. Poison type specialist and ninja, Venominon Ouroboros. And Bug type specialist and Team Skull grunt, Shinya Stinger. Recently, Shinya purchased some land in the Johto region and had an estate built there. This became the first Team Skull base outside of the Alola region, and only those who were part of Team Skull, or wished to join the team were welcome on the green-haired trainer's property. Of course, since Venom helped him pay for it all, he was welcome there as well.
The base was located close to Cherrygrove City close to the edge of a cliff that overlooked the ocean, with the dense forest of Route 30 right behind it. And even though the weather was kind of windy at the moment, both trainers and their Pokemon were enjoying some well-deserved downtime on their land. While the two teams of Poison and Bug type Pokemon interacted with each other and played some games all around the base, their respective trainers were busy tending to some business. As nice as Shinya's new base was, it was incredibly expensive and left the two trainers with far less money than they had beforehand. So, while Venom had his eyes closed and was doing some meditating, Shinya was laying back in a lounge chair, sipping a fruity beverage as he used his Pokegear to surf the web and find a way for the two of them to make some more money and fast.
"AH!...This place is awesome! Am I right, Venom?!" Shinya asked after pulling his mouth away from his drink and letting out a very happy sigh, with a very high level of pleasure in his voice and on his face.
Before responding, the ninja took a deep breath in, then let it out, remaining perfectly calm, despite their financial difficulties. "I'm very happy for you, Shinya, but things like this don't pay for themselves. You've helped me out a great deal in the past, and I'm more than happy to return the favor when I can, but I'd also like to help out my sister too. It's not easy being a gym leader and running a dojo, and it's been even tougher on her ever since Father and I left home. The least I can do is send her some money for anything she might need it for."
"Yeah, I hear ya. I wouldn't mind sendin' some cash back home to all my bros and sis' too. I kinda hate to admit it, but the town we call home is kind of a dump. I'd feel better about havin' this nice, new base if they had some money for some new gear and decent food at least. It's not like we can just steal everythin' we want, ya know." Shinya lost his grin as he spoke, just as determined as Venom to do everything he could to make life easier for those he cared for back home.
So, with all of them in mind, Shinya continued to surf the web, calling out any and all suggestions he found to his poisonous pal. "Hmmm...People pay some pretty good money for shiny Pokemon. I've got that Shellos I found a little while ago. And don't ya have a shiny Magikarp, Venom?"
"I do, but as rare as shiny Pokemon are, I doubt we'll make very much off of the two of them alone. This base probably costs more than the price of both of them combined." Venom answered Shinya while continuing to meditate, never once opening his eyes or even turning in the Alolan trainer's general direction as he did.
"Yeah, you're probably right." Shinya responded with a scowl on his face, then went right back to scouring the internet for an answer to their dilemma. Then, after roughly twenty more minutes of searching, Shinya came upon an article that caught his eye instantly. "Hey, listen to this! Some billionaire here in Johto is offerin' a million pokedollars in exchange for a Tyranitar!"
And just like that, Venom's concentration was shattered. He opened his eyes up wide, stood tall, and turned to face his fellow trainer, looking at him as if he was mad. "Oh? A Tyranitar? Is that all?" The ninja questioned in a sarcastic tone then got very serious. "The problems with that are multifold. First of all, Tyranitars are only found in one place in all of Johto. Mt. Silver. We're weeks, maybe even months from there. And secondly, even if we could get there, we're nowhere near the level of what it would take to capture a Pokemon as strong as a Tyranitar. I'll admit, a million pokedollars is just what we need right now, but such a task is beyond us, Shinya. You know that as well as I do."
The Team Skull grunt didn't care for Venom's response all that much, putting down his drink, getting up from his chair, and staring right into the ninja's eyes, speaking to him in an annoyed tone of voice. "I don't hear you comin' up with any ideas, Snake Spit. It's not like the answer to our problems is just gonna fall right outta the sky and into our laps, ya know."
Just then, as if on cue, an unknown object fell thousands of feet from the sky, landing smack dab in the front yard of Shinya's land with an impact that shook the ground for a brief moment and stirred up a thick cloud of dust. Immediately following this sudden development, both Venom and Shinya turned their heads, and all of their Pokemon ceased their playtime, turning their gazes toward this occurrence as well. As they all waited for the dust to settle, all of them wondered just what they were about to see, and where whatever it was came from in the first place. But the more the dust settled, the more the two trainers came to realize that it wasn't a what, but a who.
After about two minutes, the dust had completely settled, giving both trainers a clear view of the being who fell from the sky. The being in question was a girl, looking no older than sixteen, standing roughly five feet and five inches tall. She had pink eyes and very long, very wild, sapphire blue hair that went all the way down to her ankles. However, this was no ordinary girl. Despite falling thousands of feet from the sky, she didn't have a single scratch on her. Not only that, but this girl's appearance was unlike anything Venom or Shinya had ever seen in their entire lives.
This girl had a lean build but also had some very visible muscles on her arms, legs, and torso. The only clothing she wore was a skirt made of grass that came down to the middle of her thighs, a bikini top made of leaves that covered her chest, as well as a necklace made from several different Pokemon fangs and claws, but even Venom had no idea what Pokemon these accessories came from. The nails on her fingers and toes were very long and sharp, looking a lot more like claws than nails. The teeth in her mouth also looked quite sharp, more like fangs than simple teeth, with one fang sticking out of the left side of her mouth on the top, and another fang sticking out of the right side of her mouth on the bottom. And even though it was kind of hard to see with her hair covering most of her back, she had a blue and yellow backpack on, with pictures all over it, depicting the Mimicry Pokemon, Tatsugiri.
For the first thirty seconds after the dust cleared, all was silent, apart from the sound of this strange girl's leaf clothing rustling in the sea breeze. But then, said girl started to look all around her, keeping her nose raised and sniffing as much as she could while doing so. It was like she didn't even notice Venom, Shinya, or their Pokemon at first. However, that quickly changed after only three seconds of sniffing, as she turned to face the two trainers and looked at them with great intrigue. Then, much to Venom and Shinya's surprise and confusion, the strange girl approached them, slowly moved all around them, and continued to sniff the entire time.
This went on for a full thirty seconds until Venom decided to say something, speaking to the wild girl in a puzzled and mildly uncomfortable tone. "Uhhh...Is there something we can do for you?"
The sound of the ninja's voice was all it took to bring the strange girl back to reality, as she flinched, jumped away from the two male trainers, and gave them a friendly smile. "Oh! Fang is sorry. Miriam told Fang to use her manners." Following the lessons of the older woman she spoke of, the girl offered the two young men a bow before raising her head and holding her right hand out towards them. "Hi there. It's nice to meet you. Fang's name is Fang. Who are you?"
Once again, both Venom and Shinya were confused, wondering why she was talking the way she was. Still, as odd as her speech was, they did learn that her name was Fang at least. And the more they learned about her, the more Venom felt like he had heard about her, or at least something similar to her before. So, placing a hand under his chin, Venom took a few minutes to try and figure this out.
And while he was doing that, Shinya made the decision not to leave Fang hanging. "The name's Shinya. Shinya Stinger. And this guy's full name is way too long, so just call him Venom." Shinya gestured to the Poison type trainer beside him, then slowly reached out to shake Fang's hand. "Listen, wild child, I don't know where ya came from, but this is my turf. So, ya better have a damn good reason for- GAH!" As soon as they shook hands, Shinya immediately felt like his hand was being crushed in Fang's grip. As such, he spent the next few seconds struggling to pull his hand out of the vice grip it was now trapped in.
Fortunately for him, Fang let go of his hand, then proceeded to scratch the back of her head a little. "Oops. Sorry. Fang always does that. Everyone says that Fang doesn't know her own strength."
Thankfully, Shinya didn't end up with any broken bones, but his hand still hurt quite a bit, as he glanced and glared at Fang after getting said hand back from her. "I'll say. Jeez. Even a Machamp would be jealous of that kinda grip strength."
Still wanting to be polite, Fang kept her smile and offered her hand to Venom next, but the ninja came back to reality and shook his head. "No thanks. I'm fine. So, Fang, where did you come from? And what brings you all the way to Johto?" Venom asked the wild girl, attempting to confirm the suspicions he had about her.
"So, this is Johto then? Phew! Fang was starting to worry that Fang was lost." Fang breathed a sigh of relief, then did her best to answer Venom's questions, maintaining her friendly tone and smile the entire time. "Fang is from the Paldea region, but the Paldea region from a billion years ago. It's kind of confusing. Anyway, Fang is here for a school project. Fang has to bring back some rare items from the Johto region, then Asa will be happy, pat Fang's head, and give her lots of praise." During the last sentence she spoke, Fang started to look especially happy and excited. Clearly, this Asa she spoke of was someone she cared a great deal about.
However, the wild girl's answers left Venom and Shinya with far more questions than answers. The two trainers looked at her with a mixture of confusion and intrigue, trying their hardest to make sense of the information they had just been given. On the one hand, Shinya was beginning to think that the girl in front of him was just plain crazy. But on the other hand, Venom was slowly but surely assembling all the pieces of this puzzle in his mind, knowing that he definitely heard something like this about the Paldea region somewhere not too long ago.
Just then, both of their respective trains of thought came to a screeching halt, as the ocean just below the cliff that Shinya's estate was built upon erupted. Before any trainer or Pokemon had time to react, a wild, very large, and very aggressive Gyarados jumped out of the water, landing right on the edge of the cliff, and letting out an extremely loud roar.
Straight away, Venom, Shinya, and all of their Pokemon gasped before taking several steps backward, looking up at the Atrocious Pokemon with facial expressions of pure shock. "A Gyarados?! Are ya kiddin' me?! What the heck is it doin' here?!" Shinya questioned out loud at this very sudden development, knowing full well that Gyarados lived in the oceans around here, but never expecting one to behave in such a way.
"Normally, a Gyarados would never launch an attack like this! Someone or something must've provoked it somehow! If I had to guess, I'd say it probably sensed the presence of another powerful living creature!" Venom offered the best explanation he could think of but still didn't understand exactly why this was happening. Surely neither he, Shinya, nor any of their Pokemon could've triggered such a reaction out of the Water/Flying type. Looking at Fang once again, Venom started to wonder if she could've been the cause, but that still didn't add up. Why would a full-grown Gyarados attack a lone girl with such a friendly demeanor?
However, this did indeed seem to be the case, as the very large Pokemon looked right down at Fang, glaring and growling at her from behind. And judging by what the Gyarados was saying, it seemed to view Fang as a threat for some reason. "How dare you enter my territory! There's only room for one apex creature around here! And it's me! Now, get lost! Or else!"
For the first minute after the Gyarados appeared, Fang didn't even turn to face it, nor did she show any fear or concern at all. She knew the Gyarados was behind her and was very angry, but still, the wild girl was completely unfazed. But then, after hearing the Gyarados' threat, Fang slowly lowered her head and started to change. Right before the eyes of all living creatures that were present, Fang's hair and eyes began to glow, changing into a bright scarlet color. Not only that, but the ground all around her began to shake, as massive energy could be seen and felt coming off of her at the same time. After that, Fang quickly raised her head again and turned to face the Gyarados, baring her fangs and glaring right back at the wild Pokemon with some very obvious fury in her eyes. "Grrrrr!...How about you get lost instead?! Before Fang gets really mad!"
As Fang growled and yelled at the Gyarados, it seemed that she had immediately turned the tables on it. Gyarados' ability may have been Intimidate, but right now, the only one being intimidated was the Gyarados itself. In the face of Fang's overwhelming power and fury, all of Gyarados' senses were sending out danger signals, screaming at the Atrocious Pokemon to do as she said before it was too late. Could even a Gyarados have bitten off more than it could chew?
If Venom and Shinya hadn't been there to witness it, they never would've believed it themselves. Right before their very eyes, a wild Gyarados was shaking, sweating, and looking at Fang like she was the one with the Intimidate ability. Then, without another word, the Gyarados quickly turned tail, jumped back into the water below the cliff, and swam off into the deeper ocean water as fast as it could.
Then, with the crisis now averted, Fang turned her gaze right back towards Venom and Shinya, as her hair and eyes returned to normal, and she regained her friendly smile and tone of voice. "So, can either of you help Fang find some rare items to bring back to school, please?" She spoke as if staring down a Gyarados was nothing to her, still totally focused on the task she was sent to Johto to carry out.
From there, another round of silence enveloped the entire area for a full three minutes, as Venom, Shinya, and their Pokemon did their very best to process the events they had just witnessed. This was definitely not a dream, but none of them had any other explanation for what had just transpired before them. That is until a rather large number of particular memories came flooding back into Venom's mind all at once.
"Could you excuse us for a few minutes, Fang? We have some things to discuss first." The Poison type trainer answered the wild girl, then grabbed Shinya's arm and pulled him aside until they were out of said wild girl's earshot and started whispering to him. "Okay, you probably got this already, but Fang is no ordinary girl."
"Uhhh...Yeah. Duh! She's just scared a Gyarados out of its scales. This goes way beyond bein' out of the ordinary. But it seems like you've got some idea of who or what she is. So, I'm listenin'. Out with it." Shinya replied to Venom's statement in a rather smart-mouthed tone, then waited to hear what his explanation would be.
"Fang already told us herself. Granted, it may be hard to believe. In fact, I hardly believe it myself, but I've heard rumors about the Paldea region. Apparently, Pokemon from a billion years in the past, or a billion years into the future, sometimes appear from the place they call the Great Crater of Paldea. These Pokemon are far stronger than most Pokemon we know in the present, and if we take into account the theory of evolution, I think we may be in the presence of one of the very first fully evolved human beings to ever walk this Earth. Although, technically, Fang wouldn't be classified as a human. Still, this would explain her appearance and why she can't speak proper English. Honestly, it's nothing short of a miracle that she can speak our language at all. Clearly, they've taught her well at that Pokemon academy in Paldea." Venom glanced at Fang as he explained all of this to Shinya, and even though it was only a theory, he believed wholeheartedly that he hit the nail right on the head.
Shinya glanced at Fang too, raising one eyebrow, as even he had to admit that the theory had merit. Still, it was a bit tougher for the Team Skull grunt to process, especially since he hadn't actually attended any school himself. "...So...you're sayin' that she's older than fossil Pokemon?"
"WAY older. All life was a lot tougher a billion years ago. Every living creature had to fight tooth and nail just to survive every single day. Fang probably stumbled through one of the time portals or whatever has been transporting Pokemon from the past and future to the present and is now stuck here. Still, that doesn't change the fact that she grew up in a very tough environment. If I had to guess, I'd say that even something as fierce as a Gyarados is child's play to her. Thankfully, it sounds like the teachers and students at the academy have done a good job taking care of her and getting her adjusted to the here and now. So, she's not hostile towards anyone who isn't hostile towards her." Venom did his best to deduce the best possible answers with the little bits of information he had, growing rather envious of the people of the Paldea region for having such a rare and unique opportunity to train side-by-side with Pokemon from the distant past and future, as well as a trainer from that very same past.
Just then, as the ninja was explaining all of this to him, Shinya suddenly got an idea, a big grin appearing on his face as he did. Leaving Venom's side, Shinya turned his attention back over to Fang, walking back over to her as well. "So, ya need some rare items to bring back to this Asa person, Fang? Well, I think me and my friend over there can help ya out. But if we're gonna do somethin' for you, then you gotta do somethin' for us. Get the picture?"
At first, Fang tilted her head in a confused manner as she looked back at the Alolan trainer, but was able to recover quickly enough, nodding at Shinya and getting her smile back. "Fang doesn't see any picture, but if you're willing to help Fang, then Fang will gladly help you too. What do you need?"
"We need ya to help us capture a Pokemon known as a Tyranitar." Shinya declared without even a single moment of hesitation, feeling confident that Fang had all the power they needed and much more to capture the coveted Armor Pokemon, deliver it to the billionaire who was asking for it, and collect their million pokedollar reward.
Naturally, Venom snapped out of his thoughts as soon as he heard this and quickly rushed over to Shinya and Fang to intervene. "Woah there, Shinya! Don't go getting ahead of yourself here! Yes, Fang is very strong, to say the least, but we can't ask her to fight and weaken a Tyranitar for us! Besides, we still don't have any means of even getting to Mt. Silver! Remember?!"
"It's okay!" Fang suddenly interrupted, still smiling, as she gave Shinya a nod. "Fang doesn't know what a Tyranitar is, but if that's what you want, then Fang will help. And if you two know where this Pokemon is, then Fang knows how we can get there." After that, Fang faced the sky and let out a very loud call that sounded very similar to a Pokemon's call, along with a name. "KING!"
Neither Venom nor Shinya recognized that name or the call Fang used, but then, echoing through the area, they did hear a very loud roar. Once again, neither of the male trainers recognized the roar they heard, but it sounded very strong, and it did well to unsettle their Pokemon. Not only that, but the sunlight suddenly turned harsh for some reason.
Then, from out of the sky, something very large and very powerful swooped in and landed right beside Fang, stirring up yet another cloud of dust. When it finally cleared away, Venom, Shinya, and their Pokemon came face to face with a Pokemon that none of them had ever seen before. Whatever it was, it was big, strong, and the same bright scarlet color that Fang's hair and eyes were when she starred down the wild Gyarados.
"Venom, Shinya, this is King. He's Fang's friend from a billion years ago and got stuck here like Fang did. Arven's parents called him Koraidon, but Fang and Fang's people called him the Winged King. So now, Fang just calls him King. Aside from Asa, King is Fang's best friend. Isn't that right, King?" Fang explained to Venom and Shinya, then she turned to face King and waited for his answer.
"King is Fang's friend. King will always be by Fang's side." The Paradox Pokemon said in his own language, then licked the left side of Fang's head. In response to this, Fang giggled, then licked the right side of King's head in return, making him smile right back at her.
Of course, this raised even further questions in the minds of Venom and Shinya, as they stared up at Fang's Pokemon friend in shock and awe. However, before either of them could ask any more questions, Fang was already filling in King on the deal she had made with the two trainers. "King, these two trainers, Venom and Shinya, have promised to help Fang find rare items to bring back to Asa at the academy. But first, we need to find and capture something called a Tyranitar for them. They know where it is, but we need your help to get there. So, can you give us a ride please?"
In response to the girl's request, King nodded his head, then got down on all fours and gave off a blinding scarlet light. When the light faded away, King had changed forms, looking like some kind of living motorcycle or something to that effect. "King will get Fang and new friends anywhere they wanna go. Get on King's back."
With that, Fang happily jumped onto his back, then grabbed both of the handle-like appendages in each of her hands and waited for Venom and Shinya to climb aboard. "Let's go! You two tell us where to go, and Fang and King will do the rest!"
Still not entirely sure of what she planned to do, Venom and Shinya quickly decided that questions could wait. And so, the two trainers called all of their respective Pokemon back to their Pokeballs, then climbed onto King's back and did their best to hold on tight. Venom sat behind Fang, and Shinya sat behind Venom. "Okay, since we're really doing this, our destination is Mt. Silver. It's that big mountain over there." Venom pointed the mountain out for Fang and King, able to see it clearly even at their current distance.
Following Venom's finger, Fang and King eyed the mountain themselves. "Fang sees it! You heard him, King! To the mountain of silver!" With their course set, Fang gave the order, and King let out a roar. After that, the Paradox Pokemon ran straight for the mountain as fast as he could, before jumping up high, spreading the wings on his head, and taking off into the sky.
Both Venom and Shinya were shocked and awed yet again by this, looking down and seeing that the ground was getting further and further away from them. "This thing can fly too?! AWESOME!" Shinya declared out loud, his grin returning, knowing that they'd make it to Mt. Silver in practically no time at all now. This also explained how Fang was able to get to the Johto region in the first place too.
The flight to Mt. Silver wasn't too long, only about an hour or so. But along the way, Venom asked Fang as many questions as he could, extremely fascinated about the time she came from and the Pokemon that lived there too. Fang happily answered any and all questions he had to the best of her abilities, asking the ninja some questions of her own in return. Additionally, as they flew through the air, both Venom and Shinya noticed something about Fang and King. Normally, one would expect a wild girl to smell pretty foul, but the scent coming off of Fang and King was actually quite pleasant. Neither trainer knew how to describe it, but if they had to, they'd say that it was the scent of the sun.
Upon reaching Mt. Silver, King touched down at the base of the mountain, then all three trainers climb off of his back. Fang then thanked him for the ride and told him to stay close by, knowing that they'd need his help in getting off of the said mountain as well. And so, King took off into the air again, flying all around the mountain, but making sure not to stray too far away, as he awaited Fang's order to land once again.
As they watched King take off without them, Shinya posed yet another question to the prehistoric girl. "Ya know, that King of yours seems pretty strong too. Why not just have him battle the Tyranitar when we find it?"
"King isn't actually Fang's Pokemon. King and Fang are just friends who help each other out when one of us needs it. But it's okay. Fang can handle anything. Now, how do we find a Tyranitar?" Fang explained to Shinya, then asked a question of her own.
This time, Venom had the answer, looking all around their surroundings and keeping his wits about him as he spoke. "Well, Tyranitar's ability is Sand Stream. So, there should be a sandstorm raging around one almost constantly. With that in mind, it should be pretty easy to find one. Even at a distance."
"Or we could just do this." Shinya cut in, then faced a very large cave opening on the side of the mountain, and yelled as loud as he could into it. "Hey, Tyranitar! I know you're in there! I heard you're a big wuss! What are ya gonna do 'bout it?! Huh?!" The Alolan trainer's voice echoed throughout the entire cave system, and a brief moment of silence followed.
Not even five seconds later, a loud roar could be heard from somewhere inside the cave, echoing out in response to Shinya's taunts. The two present-day trainers didn't need to see it to know that said roar came from the very Pokemon they had come to find, and it sounded very strong indeed. Without even needing to be told, Shinya quickly moved away from the cave entrance, then he and Venom moved away from Fang and got clear of what was sure to be her battlefield with the Armor Pokemon.
Normally, neither Venom nor Shinya would back down from any challenge, but their Pokemon simply weren't strong enough to handle this challenge. And if Fang lost, any chance of escape would be impossible for them. So, all they could do was watch and hope that Fang was strong enough to handle this on her own. Fortunately for them, the wild girl showed absolutely no fear, and stood tall before the cave, narrowing her eyes, baring her fangs and claws, and waiting for her opponent to show itself.
The sounds of heavy footsteps grew louder and louder with every step, and a powerful sandstorm was soon raging all around the three trainers, making it harder to see the approaching Tyranitar. But this Tyranitar was a big one, emerging from the cavern in full view. And that's when the three trainers were greeted with a pleasant surprise. The Tyranitar Shinya had summoned was a shiny Tyranitar, and it was mad. Very mad. "Who has the nerve to insult me in my own home?! I'll crush you where you stand!"
"Woohoo! A shiny one! Paydirt! Maybe we can get that billionaire to double the reward for this guy!" Shinya declared out loud, grinning even bigger and already counting the money in his mind.
"Just remember, Fang, we need it alive and well! Just knock it out for us without hurting it too much!" Venom reminded the prehistoric girl, still wondering exactly how this fight will play out.
"Fang knows that! Nemona told Fang that trainers don't kill Pokemon! Only battle and capture them! Fang will do that!" Fang responded to Venom's reminder, faced the Armor Pokemon, and got down on all fours, like a wild Pokemon ready to attack. After that, her hair and eyes started to glow again, changing into the same bright scarlet color as before.
And just like that, the battle was on. The wild Tyranitar started off strong, letting out another roar and firing a powerful Hyper Beam right at Fang. But in one quick movement, Fang jumped out of the way, taking no damage at all. An explosion followed, and Fang took advantage of Hyper Beam's recharge time to get in close, charging right for Tyranitar. Even on all fours, her speed was incredible. She looked like a scarlet blur through all the sand. Even Venom was envious of her speed, as his own ninja speed paled in comparison.
Upon reaching Tyranitar, Fang slashed it right across its chest with her claws twice, causing the Armor Pokemon to roar out in pain and leaving two large claw marks even on its tough body armor like it was made of simple dirt. "Rgh! Why you little brat!" Tyranitar glared at Fang, then tried a Crunch attack, but Fang quickly raised both of her arms in self-defense. Tyranitar sank its large teeth into Fang's right arm, but quickly pulled away, roaring out in pain once again. Being from the prehistoric past meant that Fang's skin was tough, and in her current state, it was even tougher. So tough in fact, that even Tyranitar's powerful jaws didn't stand a chance. It felt like it was trying to bite through a diamond.
Taking full advantage of yet another opening, Fang grabbed onto Tyranitar with both claws and lifted the Dark/Rock type up over her head, much to the wild Pokemon's shock. "You see?! Fang is strong!" Fang shouted out, and it sounded almost like a Pokemon's roar. From there, she threw Tyranitar straight into the side of the mountain, slamming the wild Pokemon into it and leaving a large indentation on the said mountain. The force of the impact caused the entire mountain to shake for a moment, as many wild Pokemon were forced to retreat from their respective hiding places and seek cover. But this battle wasn't over just yet.
Even after taking such a big hit, Tyranitar got back up, refusing to stay down. "Grrr...I don't know who you are, but I am the king of this mountain! And I will not be dethroned by a human of all things! Now, prepare to be crushed by the weight of my power!" Letting out one more loud roar, Tyranitar let loose with a powerful Rock Slide, as the sandstorm continued to rage all around.
The sand bounced right off of Fang's tough skin though, as she eyed the falling rocks, still completely unafraid. "You don't scare Fang! You're no Roaring Moon!" With that, Fang let out a loud battle cry of her own and charged right for Tyranitar once more. All around her, the rocks fell, but she either dodged them or knocked them away effortlessly. She even smashed her way right through a rock that fell directly in front of her and just kept on going.
As the gap between the trainer and Pokemon got smaller and smaller, Tyranitar began to build up energy for another Hyper Beam, hoping to finish Fang off once and for all. Unfortunately for the Armor Pokemon, Fang was just a little bit faster. Just before Tyranitar shot the beam out of its mouth, Fang closed the distance between the two of them, and quickly jumped up at Tyranitar's head, slamming its jaw shut with her bare hands. And with nowhere to go, the energy from the Hyper Beam exploded right inside Tyranitar's mouth, causing massive damage to the wild Pokemon. Fang got caught up in the explosion too, as Venom and Shinya watched with bated breath, waiting to see if she was okay and if the battle was over. Several seconds later, the sandstorm started to die down, and the smoke from the explosion cleared away with it.
What Venom and Shinya saw next was Fang standing tall, covered in soot and sand, but completely uninjured. At the same time, Tyranitar was on the ground, unconscious, with swirls where its eyes should've been. With the battle over, Fang faced the sky and let out one more loud battle cry, which once again sounded almost like the roar of a wild Pokemon.
For a brief moment, both Venom and Shinya were in another state of shock and awe, but as soon as that wore off, Shinya quickly grabbed and threw an empty Pokeball from his bag right at the unconscious Tyranitar. "Alright, Pokeball! Get it!" Once the orb made contact, Tyranitar was sucked inside. The trio then watched the said orb shake for a solid minute, before it finally stopped, causing both Venom and Shinya to celebrate. "Heck yeah! We got a Tyranitar! Hello, payday!"
Not forgetting that Fang was the one who did this for them, Venom gave her a bow of gratitude. "Thank you for this, Fang. We could never have pulled this off without your help."
Before responding, Fang's hair and eyes returned to normal once again, and she faced her new friends with a bright smile on her face. "Fang is always happy to help. Besides, Fang should be thanking you two, Venom and Shinya. Now, Asa will be happy with Fang and show Fang lots of love."
With their mission now complete, Fang called King back and had him give them a ride back to Shinya's estate. Along the way, Shinya contacted the billionaire, told him that they had a shiny Tyranitar for him, and to meet them in Cherrygrove City to make the exchange. And, of course, after returning to Shinya's estate, the two male trainers held up their end of the deal, giving Fang some of their stock of Pinkan berries and explaining to her what they were and how they worked. Fang thanked the two of them for the berries, put them into her bag, then decided to take a picture with her Rotom phone to commemorate this little adventure. The prehistoric girl did have a little trouble figuring out how to work her own phone, but Venom was more than willing to help her figure it out and take the picture. After that, Venom and Shinya got off of King's back, then watched and waved as Fang and King took off into the sky once again and began their trip back to the Paldea region.
Would the two trainers ever see Fang again? Perhaps. But for the time being, they decided to focus on the friends and family they each already had. The billionaire arrived about an hour later, and a deal was stuck. In exchange for their shiny Tyranitar, the rich collector rewarded the two trainers will a million Pokedollars each before taking his leave in the helicopter he arrived in. Without even needing to think it over, both Venom and Shinya knew exactly what to do with their fortunes. Deciding to only keep a little for themselves, Venom and Shinya sent the majority of the money back home to their respective families, along with some letters, detailing their adventures through the Johto region so far. And speaking of their adventures through Johto, the two trainers went their separate ways after that, returning to their respective adventures with some interesting new memories and experiences under their belts, so to speak.
Truly, the more they learned about the world of Pokemon, the more wondrous it became.
