"Yes! Do it again Rattata! Again! Again!" Emilio shouted as the battle went really well for him, much to his own excitement. "He's listening!" He shouted to Aglaia who just smiled and shook her head when Emilio had turned his attention back to the poochyena. There had been no disobedience, just a kid who didn't understand his pokemon couldn't read his mind and had to be told what he wanted of it. It was good some pokemon were so safe and had the patience to be around kids. The journey had really changed her mind on that point as she before didn't believe any pokemon would be safe for sure to have around kids, not without an adult to step in if needed, and she had always thought the parents reckless when she saw kids running around playing with pokemon without an adult in sight. "No! No wait! I wanted to catch you!" Emilio shouted and ran two steps before he thought better of it and pouted as the poochyena he had fought disappeared. He looked on as Mistrun chased another away and soon there was only the one Byg was facing, he got a determined look on his face. "Sinclair, get away from there!" Aglaia called to the bronzor, who kept trying to get around the spinarak and closer to the poochyena for some weird reason. "You better catch that one too, before it goes wrong!" Emilio piped up and pressed a pokeball into Aglaia's hand, smiling innocently when she narrowed her eyes at him. She looked at the proochyena who twisted and turned and was mostly focused on biting its own side and tail, where the tiny insects Byg had summoned bit it. Had it been any other pokemon Aglaia would probably have refused, but as she had one herself in Victoria, that Sinclair kept floating dangerously close and the poochyena now even threw sand at Byg making it harder for him to protect the bronzor, she accepted. "Alright, I'll catch it for you," Aglaia said dryly and hid her smile when she heard Emilio whisper a excited "YES!" to himself, without fist-pumping as well from the sound of it. Aglaia stuck her tongue out as she took aim, Byg missed his lunge and Sinclair went straight up in the pup's face, the black furred wolf was plenty distracted for her to get closer and loop the ball at it. "Come on, come on, come on!" Emilio begged with his fingers crossed. Wordcount: 414 (ooc: Sinclair switches in and Aglaia is throwing a pokeball. Hadn't planned on catching, but since I don't know how many rounds infestation is going, this is faster Note: Tolv is NOT on this team)

The poochyena's eyes darted around and its hackles rose when it realized it was alone, it shivered as the tiny bugs kept pestering it and growled when Sinclair kept floating close. When it didn't listen and gave it space, it lunged and bit down on the steel hard round pokemon, both pokemon whimpered and flinched away from each other. Sinclair rose high up in the air to not get bit again, and poochyena whimpered and patted its sore mouth with a paw. It was standing still so it was easy for Aglaia to hit it with a pokeball. "Yes! I got a poochyena!" Emilio cheered and danced around and was about to run to pick up the pokeball, when Aglaia stepped in the way with a raised eyebrown, "did you now?" she asked him pointedly and a look of hurt and betrayal ran across his face. "You.. you are going to let me get it, right?" He asked hesitantly and Aglaia looked back at the pokeball which lay in the grass. "I hope so, but you have to remember that this is a wild pokemon, and I cannot let you have it if it continues to bite your arm off!" Aglaia explained with a little smile, she was responsible for his safety after all. "It would never do that! It's a cute puppy!" Emilio protested and raised his clenched fists as if he was ready to fight physically with her over it. Aglaia stared at him openmouthed. "It's not.." she stopped herself and you could almost hear her gear grind as she thought, "it.. it might be, but its scared. We have just fought it and taken it away from its family, we don't know how it will react," she said. "I won't hurt it! I'm going to be good with it!" Emilio almost shouted as if the volume itself was going to convince Aglaia. "But poochyena don't!" The older girl argued and raised a hand for Emilio to be quiet when he was about to protest loudly again. "If someone came and suddenly took you away from your parents and talked in a language you didn't understood, wouldn't you be scared too?"Emilio looked down and mumbled something about that he was going to be nice and that the poochyena would understand it. "We need to meet it and show it we're friends," Aglaia said, and thought to herself they also needed to make sure it wasn't a vicious. A loud rumble interrupted their talk and big raindrops began to fall from the sky, "not again!" Lei groaned when the thunderstorm returned and hurriedly pulled out their raincoats and rushed off to find a place to shelter. (ooc: usually we roll it from the start But anyway, I couldn't calculated with it since I needed 5 rounds for it to work and Sinclair being able to win the battle, it can't survive many attacks due to typing Self updated the pokemon and put the poochyena in Lei's box2. The rain poured down harder than before and Aglaia's head ducked fearfully when thunder clashed right above them. This was too much excitement for her, thunderstorms were alright if she was inside and could watch it safely through a window. Emilio laughed as he ran beside her, he had just been in his first real battle and had gotten himself a new pokemon! A bit of rain was not going to put a damper on his mood. "There!" He shouted and pointed at a hill with the remains of an old tree on top, "that's the place!" Aglaia looked at it doubtfully, Emilio had said he knew the perfect place for them to shelter and wait out the storm, he had been in the area with his family and had been taken here. The tree didn't look to be given any shelter whatso ever, and wasn't there something about that you should avoid heights in a weather like this?
Emilio didn't go up on the hill though, he veered off and followed it around the base, which made Aglaia curious. What was it he knew should be here? Roots protruded the hill and some of the soil underneath had been washed away and collapsed, leaving a dry area underneath. "See?1 This is the perfect place," Emilio exclaimed and rushed ahead of her to get to the shelter. There just were a little tiny problem, the spot was already occupied.
A meditite had been floating inches over the dry sand and had tried to envision fall and all the goodies it brought, it opened its eyes annoyed at the interruption and sent them a warning glance. It had been here first and they better leave it alone. "A meditite! I'm going to catch it!" Emilio shouted to call dips on it and pointed at the meditating pokemon. "Wait, what?" Aglaia said confused as Emilio ordered his rattata to tackle and the rat running forward only to get picked up by psychic energies and thrown back, right at Emilio. "Aah!" Emilio exclaimed and raised his arms to protect himself, Byg jumped forward and caught Rattata with his stringshot so it didn't slam into the kid and injure him. Aglaia hurried over to Emilio who laughed sheepishly, while Byg turned to face the meditite and Rattata got busy trying to clean its fur from the sticky string. "That didn't go so well," Emilio giggled and Aglaia sighed exasperated, "you need to be more careful! Keep your distance, there isn't enough room here for a battle," she scolded him before glancing at the meditite who didn't seem to be ready to leave, perhaps they could share the space? She would have to move out into the storm again.
Sinclair floated closer to the meditite and watched it eagerly, here was someone who was in balance with itself and had a goal in mind. Sinclair made some strange noises which was from happiness and moved even closer to show the meditite its reflection in its mirror surface (except it wasn't shining anymore and no reflection would be possible to see). Then, out of the blue, it lashed out at the meditating pokemon. To anyone but itself it made no sense and was an unnecessary act of violence that was completely uncalled for, and which the meditite clearly wouldn't take well.

What could have looked like an uncalled for violence from Sinclair, turned out to be completely reasonable, even though it didn't do it to protect itself from the onslaught of attacks which was sent at it when he got in the way of the meditite's aim at the spinarak. Sinclair sent all the energies back at the meditite which it had sent at it, or so it thought it was at least, to show the meditite its true form and the path it had to take. The meditite didn't get the point at all, back in the time in which Sinclair still mentally lived, where it helped out in the temples and people and pokemon came to seek help, its actions would fit into that narrative and they were all open for what it could show them. And the bronzor's mirror actually reflected their faces and helped getting its point across. Now Sinclair's actions were just strange, and the meditite was anything but happy about the mingling the bronzor did.
"Of course!" Emilio promised and Rattata looked at him warily as it knew that tone of voice and what usually came afterwards. Aglaia didn't and she believed he had learned his lesson from the close encounter which could have gone wrong. He hadn't, since nothing had gone wrong, and he still had a goal in mind as his eyes watched the part fighting type with glee. It was going to be his! A cute black pup to snuggle with and a fighter to play-fight with and win battles would be so awesome! There were no thoughts of where Rattata fit into that picture, but Emilio would of course not abandon his first pokemon if he had been asked.
The boy glanced at Aglaia and then sneaked around her back to get closer to the meditite, and then looped the ball at it. Aglaia's eyes went wide when she sat the pokeball fly from behind her at the fighters, and she looked shocked over her shoulders to see a grinning Emilio who's eyes were glued to what was happening in front of him.

The ball sailed through the air and popped the meditite right on top of the head. It looked up in confusion, a little disoriented from the last round, and was instantly swallowed up by a flash of light. The ball dropped to the damp ground with a splash, wriggled twice, then fell still. Captured. ooc// 99.8% catch rate = auto catch

It was hard to say who got most surprised, the captured pokemon or the ones battling it, and the confusion didn't become less when the capture became successful. "YES! I caught myself another pokemon! I'm going to have a full team before I get home!" Emilio shouted excitedly when the pokeball had dinged and he raced over to pick it up and danced around with it. Aglaia stared at him speechlessly, having no clue how to handle him and really just wanted to get this over with and hand him over to his family. "I'll never judge the parents of an unruly kid ever again," she grumbled under her breath as she too got into the "crevice" and pulled off her hood of her raincoat. Emilio was beaming at her, "This is so awesome! I'm the one with the most pokemon in my class now!" "That's not being of much use to you, if you can't be around them. It's now the hard work starts," Aglaia said dryly and sat down in the sand and yawned. She began to find camping stuff from her backpack, glad she had been prepared that they might need to stay a night out in the wilderness, even if she had expected them to have arrived a long time ago. Emilio argued that it wasn't going to be a problem at all and that he was going to tell and shower the pokemon with love so they would love him like Rattata did. Aglaia didn't answer as she set up to a little fire and found some food they could warm.
Emilio forgot momentarily his argumentations as he watched her, "Do you have a fire type too?!" He asked eagerly as he pointed at the firewood in front of her, it was rather damp from the rain so it wasn't going to be easy to start, she shook her head. She found a lighter and some dry stuff which could help her get it going, it took a few tries but soon they had a little fire going and she settled with the pan beside it, soon a nice smell spread in the small cave. Emilio was too excited to sit down.
"Alright, sit down and relax, you need to be calm for the first meeting," Aglaia instructed and ordered the pokemon around so that they too could relax but would be in the way so the newly caught pokemon couldn't straight attack them. Emilio laughed at that silly idea, his newly caught pokemon weren't wild anymore, so why would they be aggressive? They discussed a bit who to meet first as Emilio just wanted to call them both out right beside him and have fun, but he begrudgingly accepted to only let poochyena out and at the spot Aglaia had asigned for it.
The black pup appeared in the dry sand just inside the shelter, its tail went straight between the legs and it crouched fearfully as it looked at the gathered pokemon and their humans. "Hi Poochyena! We're going to have so much fun! Come over here and I'll pet you!" Emilio greeted and jumped when it growled threateningly and backed so far its rump got wet. It whimpered and looked wistfully out into the rain, and sniffed the air desperately but couldn't smell its pack. It looked back at the strangers and growled threateningly again, warning any of them to get close. Emilio ducked his head and crept closer to Aglaia while his Rattata was staring down the pup. Aglaia continued like nothing had happened, she was glad she had tried it before and her calm spread to the pokemon she was caring for so they just watched the pup curiously.

"The food is almost done," Aglaia said cheerfully and all the four tamed pokemon looked at her eagerly, Emilio relaxed a bit too and stretched his neck to look into the pot. "What are you making?" He asked and Aglaia handed him the packaging, "just some travel rations, they are like baked in pizzas or something, they are alright and they are easy to heat while out, and easy to give everyone a potion," she said and winked and both shot the poochyena a quick glance. The pup had calmed down although it watched them all warily, it showed its teeth when they looked at it. "the question is just how to make sure everyone gets a bite," Aglaia said a bit thoughtfully.
"What's that?" Emilio asked curiously and the young woman was about to ask him what he meant when she heard it too. "It.. sounds like a.. song?" She commented puzzled, who was out here singing in the dead of the night? It was hard to hear as the thunder was drowning out a lot of it but it was steadily becoming louder. Jiiiigaligaaa jiga lii iigaaaa, jiiga liigaa jiggaliiii. The pup began to whimper and twist and turn worriedly but even if it knew what it was it wasn't immune and it had nowhere to run. "It's really nice," Emilio mumbled and yawned, Aglaia could only nod a bit as her head fell to her chest when sleep took her.
Soon they were all sound asleep and a little round pokemon stepped in and looked around, it stopped its singing and giggled, made its way around the sleeping pup and went straight to the pot where it nabbed one of the pieces. A pair of yellow eyes watched it and a blue pokeball slowly rose from Aglaia's bag and floated towards the distracted jigglypuff, it tapped it lightly in the back of its head, and the fairy type would freeze shocked.

The jigglypuff got sucked inside the pokeball and it wiggled back and forth in the dancing light from the campfire, and to the sound of pouring rain which drowned out the chime which confirmed the capture. The pokeball began to glow faint pink as it slowly lifted itself from the ground and floated over to Aglaia's backpack, which opened so it could disappear inside. Sinclair's eyes dulled as he let go of it with his psychic powers and he tapped the side of his body against the pot to make a loud clanging noise which woke up the others. "Snrk! I'm not sleeping!" Emilio exclaimed as he sat up abruptly, Aglaia frowned and rubbed her eyes yawningly as she too sat up. A low growl from the poochyena woke them up fully and abruptly, the humans watched it warily as the remaining pokemon got back up on their footing and things calmed down and returned to how it was before. With one difference: one of the rolls now lay on the ground near the pup. Aglaia glanced down into the pot with a frown, wondering how that had happened, how long had they been out? Had it been the work of the pup which had just not worked that long? That didn't make sense, Victoria had never done anything like that. Did it have something to do with the strange song they had heard? "I'm really not tired!" Emilio declared as if Aglaia was about to go to sleep, "I need to become friends with poochyena first, right?" The older trainer didn't answer him at first as she had pulled her bag closed and quickly looked through it to see if something was missing, there wasn't. "It is getting late," She said absentminded and Emilio's eyes grew wide, "we need to eat first, right?!" He exclaimed and then began to pull excitedly at her sleeve, "look! Looook! It's going to eat!"Aglaia looked up just as the pup, still with its hackles raised and a warning in its eyes, sniffed at the roll and with salvia dripping from its mouth, carefully took a bite. A moment later the roll was gone. The female trainer smiled, "time to eat," she declared as she began to put the rolls on plates and share them among the ones gathered, the poochyena's eyes followed the food intently. "Am I getting two?!" Emilio commented excited when she handed him a plate with two rolls, and she groaned invertedly at his cluelessly. "You could share it with the poochyena to show you want to be friends," she suggested and could see the lightbulb go off. They talked a bit about how you could do it best and then he carefully made his way around the campfire with his rattata at his heel, the poochyena began to growl warningly as he approached. "That's close enough," Aglaia said quietly and watched tensely, this was the most dangerous part of it. Emilio sat down and rolled the food off his plate for the dog. "Here! That's for you," he said cheerfully, "be careful! It's hot!" He warned and his Rattata begrudingly translated for the boy and they made their way back to Aglaia. "I did it!" Emilio said and then his face fell when he saw that the pup hadn't touched the food, "doesn't it want it?" He asked disappointed. "Give it time," Aglaia reassured him and dearly hoped she was right. It took several minutes, where the pup looked suspiciously at Emilio, who began eating with a pout, but as everyone ate it slowly stretched to sniff the roll thoroughly and then gobbled it down. Wordcount: 607 (ooc: Byg forgets Poison Sting to learn Shadow Sneak. Leaving jigglypuff blank for now. "Yes!" Emilio whispered when the pup ate the food, he glanced at Aglaia, "what now? Are we friends now?""Give it time, one meal isn't going to make it tame but it's a good start," Aglaia said as the poochyena watched them closely. "It's not our friend but it's not growling at us all the time now," she pointed out and Emilio grinned back at her. "I think we're stuck here for the night though, can you contact your family and tell them we're sheltering for the night and are alright?" She asked and looked at Emilio who's eyes widened, "right! they must be worried!" He found his phone and began to construct a message, while Aglaia looked at the fires and thought about the change in his personality from when she first met him. To think it all started with a note from him on the pokecenter jobboard. With a job which wasn't real. Mistrun began to chat and ask the poochyena a lot of questions and as they talked, and the pup relaxed further, the storm passed and just left the quiet drizzle. "It's alright with them, they were glad we're okay!" Emilio informed Aglaia and showed her the sms he had gotten. A loud growl was heard from the poochyena and the humans froze, the pup's hackles had risen and its teeth was bared but it was looking away from them at out into the darkness of the night. Yet another shadow formed out there and the pup's tail disappeared under its body. "Ask your rattata to defend Poochyena, I'll get mine to deal with whatever that is," Aglaia breathed into Emilio's ears, and he nodded. "Mankey!" the beige fighting type screamed as it jumped into the dry spot and the pup scrambled back as the angry monkey turned to it. "Rattata! Defend Poochyena!" Emilio shouted and the rattata leaped over the fire and slapped the Mankey's arm away. It turned to the rat with a scowl. "Byg! Get it out of here! Lunge!" Aglaia called while she rubbed her sore ear from the kid's shouting. Byg launched himself at the mankey to wrestle it out into the rain.
