Express Delivery With no time to waste, a speeding dragon whipped over the landscape to land with a billow of wind at the Poke Centre's postings board. A few of the younger trainers were blown back, both physically and emotionally, at the figure's appearance. The gentle giant reached into its mail bag, withdrew a neat stack of air mail, and dropped it. Then it flew off. Anyone willing to nab one of the envelopes would be greated with a colourful flyer announcing the plans for a Paldea Festival in the coming months. It highlighted an array of shops geared toward trainers of all levels of experience, some new activities, and showcased a couple of the special regional variants. Also tucked in was a ticket for free entry; but the shops aren't included! Better start saving some money!
In preparation for the full changeover to Gen 9, which will happen at the launch of the festival (exact date TBA - watch the calendar ;D ), some things are being rolled out early to make it more manageable for those working on the integration. Below is a list of currently active updates that will be quietly updated over time. Some of them are Gen 8 related. - New TMs have been added to all Poke Marts, the Frontier, and Faction Shops. Item prices have also been updated for latest gen.
- New Items have been added to the RT Shop, Prize Counter, Frontier, Herbalist, Florist, and Faction Shops.
- Evolution items have been shuffled in the RT Shop. They now follow the split between 'direct use' and 'held' as per the games, and some have had their prices adjusted based on overall utility so they are now more consistently priced.
- New evolution methods have been added for Galarian Weezing, Hisui evolved forms, and Gen 9 pokemon.
- Applin & Sinistea have been removed from our special evo list. They are now just exactly as per games.
- Gen 9 pokemon have been added to the Egg Tier list.
- Mankey has been moved from T1 -> T3.
- Move Tutor can teach Lv 20+ Stantler Psyshield Bash.
- Vivillon quest rewards updated.
- BCC rewards & encounters updated.
- New encounter area in Dance Theatre.
- Dream Seer functionality expanded.
- Safari mechanics tweaked.
- Kurt's skills have improved! He can now make Hisui balls. Some Hisui balls have been added to the exclusives list.
- Hisui & Gen 9 added to pokedex quest & quest threads updated.
- Nanab, Razz, and Pinap effects updated.
- NPC Trades overhauled for ease of use & maintenance. Now all in the Trade Center instead of in each route.
- Adoption Centre fees increased
- The Trial Amulet has been expanded to include all regional forms; not just Alolans
- Regional forms are now breedable. See 'What Will Hatch' updates in NJPBF guide

Update! We are nearly ready and have a target goal for the festival date: August 18th. No particular time of day set yet, it will be based on availability. But you can look forward to the festival starting sometime around then.

Hello trainers new and old! Are you ready for the Paldea Festival? Get your school uniforms and cyclizar's ready for this special festival that will only be here a limited time. There's so much to check out while it's here, so have fun exploring and discovering all the new things that this latest generation festival has to offer. Because it's not just Paldea that is getting some love, but Hisui as well. As you've probably already noticed, some items and evolution methods have already been introduced in preparation for the festival. But if you haven't already, maybe check out Kurt's House to see his latest innovation in historic pokeball making. Jet Ball anyone? If food is more your style, check out the Sandwich Shop. They're selling Paldea Specialties that can apparently help improve your odds of finding a certain kind of pokemon and other cool effects. Maybe grab a bite of one before heading to those Strange Wormholes that keep popping up as of late. You never know when a snack before a big battle will come in clutch! And if you're just feeling social, check out the Universal RP Thread. Both old and new trainers can face off against the visiting rival Nemona and earn a prize if they can best her in a Pokemon battle though the prize will be different depending on how far your character has advanced in the RP. So no matter how far along you are, it might just be worth it to humour this excitable trainer. As a side note, Johto will not have terastallizing, but keep a hold of any tera shards you may find! A quick jaunt to the Dream Seer will now allow to to unlock your pokemon's tera type. The Paldea Festival will be available until mid-December. Exact date TBD and will be announced in advance when the time approaches. Credit to Pixel for the write-up

Update
Due to the announcement of the release date for the Indigo Disk DLC being mid-December, the Paldea Festival will be extended until January. Exact date still TBD. Details pending what we are able to do about including any DLC stuff into the festival :3
Other changes may occur for the duration of the extend period, such as an adjustment in the festival lotto. Stay tuned for updates once December hits!

Evening everyone!
Just a heads up that the last day for the Paldea Festival will be January 15. After which all the shops will close. Raids will remain a permanent feature in the Events area, and active Nemona battles will be carried over into the events overflow board so they can be completed even after Jan 15. Though not forever so make sure to finish them eventually!
