The overwhelming joy that Aphrodite felt from making outside of the Ilex Forest soon faded away the moment she made it onto Route 34 and encountered the raging thunderstorm. Luckily, she was able to change into her expensive hot pink raincoat and her matching rain boots and parasol before stepping out into the heavy rain and thunder. She managed to maneuver her way through the tall grass enough to dodge both Wild Pokemon and trainers looking for a battle. Normally, she would not have minded a little bit of extra training, but not in this kind of weather.
Luckily, after traveling a little further down route the golden-haired beauty would take notice of a Pokemon Day Care Center. She figured that she could ask the owners if she could take shelter there with them until the thunderstorm died down a bit. Perhaps, she could even lend a helping hand with some of the Pokemon that they were responsible for caring for, too. As expected, the elder couple were total sweethearts and invited herself for a while. They elder couple even offered her a cup of warm hot tea, too! Aphrodite took a seat and enjoyed a delicious cup of tea as she listened to the elder explained to her about an incident that took place at the Day Care Center not too long ago. Apparently. a thief had decided to break in and steal one of their precious eggs. The elder couple expressed to her that they are physically unable to hunt down the thief. Plus, they needed to stop behind to protect the other eggs and Pokemon in their possession. When the couple asked for her assistance, there was no way that she could turn them down after the hospitality that they had given her.
After finishing up her cup of tea, Aphrodite found herself wondering back out onto Route 34. Unfortunately for Aphrodite, the thunderstorm was still happening outside. She sighed and opened her parasol before wondering around the route in search of clues that will lead her to the thief. A few minutes would pass before she would notice the faint sight of footprints not too far away from the Day Care Center. Without any hesitation, the fairy-type specialist would follow the tracks further up the route. Eventually, she would come to a halt after hearing a mysterious voice warning her not to take any more steps. Her warm amber eyes quickly shifted towards the direction of the mysterious figure.
"How about you reveal yourself!" She shouted out to the mysterious figure as she withdrew a Poke Ball from around her waist. Within a few seconds, a thief carrying a Pokemon Egg would reveal himself to her. "As I expected, you're the Pokemon Egg thief! You're going to pay for taking that egg away from the sweet couple! Alvaro, I need your help!" She called out, releasing her Gallade.
The brave and athletic Gallade would glare at the thief while flexing his sword-like arms. "Slash!"
Alvaro (Gallade) has been ordered to use SLASH on the thief's Pokemon!

"Get them off my back, persian!" the thief grunted as he was spotted, called out and CHASED by some lady who sent out a gallade. He didn't want to have his legs literally cut out from under him, so it was best that he put something between him and the pokemon with literal swords for arms. There was a flash of light as he released his pokemon and soon, a sleek, golden-furred feline was on the street, braced for battle. The sky rumbled as rain fell. The season had been wet thus far and the path beneath their feet was slick. It would be hard to escape if someone had him taking evasive action, as he was likely to slip and fall while trying to flee. A rolled ankle would be the least of his problems then, as if he was caught, no doubt this punk of a trainer would get the authorities involved. He didn't want to deal with no coppers. Even a bunch of bumbling Jenny's who didn't know how to catch a thief on a good day. As the gallade surged forward, slashing with his arms, persian let out an ear splitting screech at his foe, pupils narrowed, ears flat against his skull. It was a sound that left one a little nauseated and shivering. He then tried to leap out of the way, but the feline wasn't quite nimble enough to evade the knight and those blades slammed into his side, sending the feline sliding back with a hiss. "Show'em your claws next," the thief jeered as the persian growled low, watching the gallade's every move. Trainer Battle

As expected, the theif did not waste any time sending out a Pokemon of his own to defend himself. Aphrodite's warm golden eyes watched carefully as her Gallade's blades made contact with the feline Pokemon, inflicting a decent amount of damage to its body. However, the golden-haired beauty trainer would soon find herself placing her hands over her ears to protect them from the ear-splitting screen that the Persian released from its mouth to lower Alvaro's defense. Luckily, the annoying cry didn't last too much longer.
"Alvaro, let's finish this Persian off with a Low Sweep!" She commanded her Pokemon. The Gallade nodded his head before rushing towards his opponent with his powerful legs coated in a blinding white light as he prepared to perform a low kick that would strike his opponent's legs.
"Hey! Why did you decide to steal that Pokemon Egg from the Day Care Center? What are planning on doing with it?" Aphrodite questioned the thief. She didn't expect him to give her an honest answer, but she figured that it wouldn't hurt to ask him anyway. Perhaps, it will be her lucky day and he will reveal his motions to her.

Aphrodite was right where she was supposed to be, while she might not look like it and the burglar therefore thought he was free of any cops, he was facing one right now. Of course, she hadn't shown him her badge nor was in uniform so how should he know? Aphrodite was a full member of the police force though and she surely knew how to handle such little irritation like this thief, and get to the bottom of what was going on here, she was a negotiator expert after all! First there was a battle to get through, few thieves wanted to chat and give answers if they thought you could still get away! The thief snorted and looked unimpressed at Aphrodite, "You've got the wrong man, I havn't stolen nothing!" He declared defiantly, "Imma just want to get n'out of the storm! Why is't you're following me?""Watch out Persian, that sounds nasty," The thief warned his cat who hissed at Alvaro, it was not scared by anything he could do. As the gallade leaped the persian crouched with bared fangs, and it spun out of the way as he came sweeping in, missing it completely. The cat smirked as it turned on a dime, claws ready to rake him to pieces now his defense was down, but suddenly its paws slid and it fell chin first to the ground as it lost its foot. The rain and the slick path had turned against them! The persian pushed itself up just for Alvaro to sweep away its feet again and it slammed to the ground again and this time it stayed down. The burglar cursed with words which the adult author are not allowed to repeat, and he recalled his cat only to let out an abra. Strange, those weren't known to be good battlers, terrible actually, did the thief really want to battle with that? The burglar grabbed the abra's arm and the psychic pokemon flinched and grimaced, "get us out of here!" He hissed urgently and the abra opened an eye partly to sent him a glance before it yawned deeply. He grabbed it tighter and hissed something into its ear which made it grimace annoyed. Aphrodite shook her head and laughed at the thief's thoughtless excuse. "Oh. please! Do you think that I'm incompetent or something? You're clearly carrying around a Pokemon Egg that doesn't belong to you." Aphrodite replied back to the thief, keeping a careful watch on him. The thief could believe what he wanted to believe, but Aphrodite felt confident that he is the culprit.
Meanwhile, Alvaro had managed to knock the living breath out of the Persian, knocking it out for the count. The Gallade would flex his sword-like arms to celebrate his victory as he awaited his next opponent. Alvaro blinked his eyes at the psychic-type Pokemon, somewhat surprised by its appearance. Did the thief truly believe that his fragile psychic-type Pokemon would be able to withstand his blades? At the Persian "looked" a little bit more intimidating than the Abra.
"You're not going anywhere! Alvaro, stop Abra from using Teleport by using Slash!" She commanded her Gallade. If Abra was good at anything it is using its psychic abilities to teleport away from danger. There was no way that Aphrodite would allow them to get away from her. She has plans to arrest the thief and prevent him from stealing anymore.

The thief prepared to leave, but Alvaro was too fast. In one swift slash, before anyone could blink, his abra was knocked out and he was forced to scrambled back. Out of pokemon. Of of room to run. "S-stay back lady! I don't know if you get your kicks harassing innocent bystanders looking to get out of the rain and forcing them to defend themselves, but—" he started to ramble, searching for an excuse. A reason. A means to flee. The egg was still in his arms. She needed to be careful lest he dropped it in alarm. However, before anyone could act too rashly, a figure emerged from the shadows with a sigh. "Utterly incompetent. Why is it so hard to hire decent help these days?" said the man. He was dressed finely and stood with a composed air of wealthy dignity. He adjusted his umbrella and flashed a smile at Aphrodite. "Now, my dear lady, you seem to have forced my hand. All I wanted to do was purchase that fine egg from the couple that runs the daycare. Hardly MY fault they refused my generous offer. If only this chap wasn't such a failure and actually did what he was hired to do." He shook his head and tsked. "Many pardons, but it seems I must take care of this matter myself. I do hope you don't mind me thrashing you in a battle now." The man pulled out a pokeball, eyes flashing with determination. He wasn't going to let this egg be taken from his hands without a serious fight. "NIDOKING! COME OUT!" he cried, throwing the ball and revealing the powerful pokemon. It was bulky and muscular and tossed its head with warning. "You should give up already, little lady."

"Give it up, sir! It looks like you're all out of Pokemon. Hold over the Pokemon Egg, please. Trust me, you do not want my Gallade to have to take it from you by force," Aphrodite called out to the thief. She did not feel threaten anymore since the thief did not see to have any other Pokemon. Therefore, there was not a true reason for her to respond with brutal force. A little threat wouldn't hurt though, right? She would keep a careful eye on the thief, hoping that he would cooperate with her and hold over the egg without making any rash decisions.
Aphrodite's attention was soon drawn away from the thief after another figure emerged from behind the shadows. Unlike the thief, Aphrodite found this young man to be extremely attractive and slightly charming. He would be her type, if he was not playing the role of the bad guy. A small blush touched her fair cheeks the second the gorgeous man flashed her with alluring smile. Alvaro's soon noticed his trainer's body language and he quickly used his shoulder to bump into her and snap her out of her thoughts. Aphrodite shook her head and cleared her throat as she made eye contact with the collector. "Maybe cut out the middleman the next time and do you own dirty work," she replied back with a smirk. "What is so special about this Pokemon Egg anyway? Why do you want it so bad?" She asked raising an eyebrow at him.
The moment the Nidoking enter on the "battlefield", Alvaro would take a step-in front of Aphrodite. "Anyway, it doesn't seem like you're in the mood to talk, so we might as well get this over with, huh?" She sighed, turning her attention towards her Gallade. "Psybeam!"

"What is so special about it? What isn't special about it. It's a very rare, hard to come by pokemon and I would like to have it. Simple as that. People without money give people with money what they ask of them in exchange for the currency they need. That is how the world works. Quite simple really. Yet that couple denied me." Shrug. "It's their fault I had to stoop to these measures, and that I will not change my mind on." He crossed his arms. "Nidoking! Use fury attack!" A gallade was a tricky foe for his poison type, but his king was strong. Powerful. He could take this scrawny pokemon on no problem. Look at him. He was rare and powerful and majestic! The picture of physical might. Oh, gallade was strong too, but look how scrawny he was in comparison? However...his being part psychic was a problem. The shimmering beam of light hit nidoking as the beast charged forth and sent him reeling. No confusion at least, as the king shook his head and threw himself the rest of the distance, pummeling the gallade furiously in return. However... Darn. Their foe was...sturdier than he looked. "A rare Pokemon that is hard to come by, huh? So, you mean to tell me that you actually know what Pokemon is inside waiting to hatch from the egg?" Aphrodite questioned, raising an eyebrow at the Rich Boy. The beauty golden-haired Fairy-type special could not help, but to wonder if the Pokemon inside of the egg could be a rare fairy-type Pokemon or at least a cute Pokemon. "I understand that this might be hard to get through that pretty little head of yours, but you can't always get what you want in life. No matter how attractive or how rich you think you may be... There are some people who just can't be bought. Trust me, I had to find that out the hard way myself," she added, trying to share some knowledge with young man. Of course, the information would probably pass through one ear out of the other one. "Can't be upset if someone doesn't want to give you something that they value... Would you want someone to take your prized possession away from you?" She would ask him.
Meanwhile, Alvaro would use his blade-like arms to counter the Nidoking's powerful horn. Although, the blades and the horn collided with each other, the Gallade still found himself taking a decent amount of damage from the Fury Attack. Alvaro took a few steps away from the Nidoking after enduring its previous attack. He would need to finish it off as soon as possible before it manages to strike him again with a multiple hitting attack.
"One more should do the trick, Alvaro, Psybeam!" Aphrodite commanded her Psychic/Fighting-type Pokemon.

"I have my sources," Carter grinned mischievously like a rich schoolboy finding out answers to an upcoming exam in a fancy Johto high school. "At least that one's competent at getting information." He mumbled to himself. When the blonde hair woman spoke authoritatively like she was his matron figure, he scoffed. "You can't be that much older than me, and you're trying to lecture me? You don't understand! I don't need to do the work, unless I have to. You'll understand when you're rolling in dough like me!" He gloated and backhanded compliment Aphrodite at the same time. Thankfully, a Psybeam was all it took to knock the Nidoking out, as the trainer was distracted by his superiority speech. "Dang it, return, Nidoking! I'm not done though, come on out, Kanazawa!" He swapped the Pokemon, and out from the sphere was a well-fed elegant fish, with horns as sharp as the previous Nidoking. The fish patiently waited for its next order.
Alvaro gained 2 levels from winning and is now Level 26! (0/2107) to next level! +1 Happiness, now +7!  Carter is not done and sent out (Level 18) Kanazawa! OOC: Kanazawa means gold marsh per google

Aphrodite sighed and shook her head at the collector's comment. It felt almost impossible to get through his head with her words. She shouldn't blame him too much. She used to be like him a couple of years ago and she ended up learning that money truly cannot buy everything. "Take it or leave it. Either way, you will learn the truth someday." She responded back to him, shrugging her shoulders before turning her attention back towards the battle just in time to see that her Gallade had managed to knock out the threatening Nidoking. "Nice work, Alvaro. Poison-types make me nervous," She told her Pokemon, giving him a quick thumbs up.
"It looks like you have a thing for Pokemon with horns," Aphrodite pointed out, admiring the elegant and beautiful koi fish-like Pokemon on the battlefield. "You've done enough, Alvaro. It's time for you rest," she called back her Pokemon into his Poke Ball. She would then retrieve her Slyveon's orb. "Mila, let's go! Dazzling Gleam!" She shouted out as the gorgeous fairy-type Pokemon emerged on the battlefield. With a cute mew, the Sylveon would release a beautiful, yet powerful blast of shimmering light from her body.
Returned Alvaro and sent out Mila (Sylveon).

"Considering that so many species of Pokemon have incorporated a horn or some other kind of offensive weapon into their body plans, I dare say that it is an admirable characteristic to look for," Carter answered, starting to seem a little nervous about this fight. It was painfully clear that Aphrodite's Pokemon greatly outclassed his own, but there was not much to be done about it right now. Plus, he needed to remain calm and focused in front of the thief that he had hired. You don't have meltdowns in front of the hired help, it is just not proper. Carter had never seen anything like this woman's Sylveon, and his eyes went wide when she released the rainbow colored attack. The beam swept across the battlefield and slammed into Seaking's side, sending the fish to the ground hard. He wasn't knocked out in one shot, but he was really injured, heavy bruises already forming with the Gleam had made contact. Seaking's horn started to glow and elongated, before the fish squirmed forward and stabbed Mila in the shoulder. Sure, it did some damage, but wasn't even comparable to what the fox had just done to his fish. It wasn't looking good, not at all. Trainer Battle

Aphrodite nodded her head at Carter's reasoning for choosing his Pokémon. Honestly, she still seemed to believe in her own observation. Either way, it was a big deal. He likes what he likes, and she likes what she likes when it comes to Pokémon. She loves fairy-types and Pokémon that belongs to the fairy-egg group. However, she also loves Pokémon that she considers to be cute or adorable, too.
"That was a beautiful hit, Mila! One more should do the trick then we will be able to take down these to and ensure that they are punished for their actions," she stated, looking over at her Pokémon then over to the collector and thief. "Dazzling Gleam!" Aphrodite commanded her Pokémon. If Mila managed to knock out the opponent then Aphrodite would be prepared to make her first arrest as a IPF member.

Carter did not like how this looked at all, not one bit. He had plans, big ones, and that's why he needed that egg. He was a collector and no one would ever have something that he wanted, that he needed. Why did it have to get so complicated? He had tried to do things the right way, using the money that he had. Hadn't his family always said that anyone anyone could be bought with enough cold hard cash? It was the old couple's fault for not listening and then things wouldn't have had to get dirty like this. Still, the woman is quick to finish off his pokemon as he quickly returns the pokemon back to its ball. Carter has no interest in being arrested - maybe she could be won by money? The boy is quick to open his mouth to try and get himself out of this mess. "Look, I'll give you the egg okay." as much as it irked him to say such words. "I'll even give you some cash if you just keep this quiet." A large chunk of change was pulled from his pocket. The deal however did not come to a conclusion however as a loud noise came from the direction of where the daycare had been. The barking of dog pokemon sounded and was enough to draw attention away. Carter would have loved to take the egg with him but he knew an escape route when he saw one. Leaving the egg behind, and dropping the cash in his haste, he quickly took off into the forest. Just in time as two IPF members show up and see the egg with the new IPF member. "Hold it right there!" one of the men said. "We have finally caught you, thief." How awkward trying to arrest a fellow IPF member. "Surrender the egg and come with us. You are under arrest."Mila gained experience! +450 exp earned (450/1951) (above she was listed as 10 actual level is 25) Mila is capped on Happiness! Alvaro gained some experience due to experience share! 450 exp earned (450/2107) Aphrodite gained £820 + £500 from defeating Carter and the Thief!  The IPF members are trying to arrest Aphrodite! What will she do? Updating missed money

Aphrodite did not hesitate with retrieving the Pokémon Egg from the collector before turning her attention back to the collector. "Sorry. I can't be bought with money. Although you have handled the egg over to me, I'll still going to have to turn you in," she explained to him. Aphrodite would carefully hand the Pokémon Egg over to her Sylveon, allowing Mila to use to her feelers to hold the egg. Meanwhile, she would search through her design bag to obtain her IPF badge to present to the collector so that she could properly arrest him.
The sound of barking startled Aphrodite at first until she noticed some of her fellow officers arrive on the scene. She did not call for any back up, but she was grateful to see them anyway. At least, she thought that she was happy to see them. Her happy face soon shifted to a confused expression approached her and informed her that she is under arrest. "Excuse me, but I believe that you're mistaking me for someone else. My name is Aphrodite Beaumont. I'm also a member of the IPF. I recently retrieve this egg from a thief and collector," she informed them, flashing them with her badge.
