This thread will be used as a sort of 'patch notes' style announcement thread that staff will attempt to upkeep as we make minor updates and tweaks to items and other functional pieces of ZapdosZulu not always worthy of making a separate announcement for. Newest updated notes will always be at the bottom of their post.
Recent Pre-Initialization Updates- Starting this summer, many Gen 8/9 updates were recorded in the Festival Prep announcement.
- The normal Johto Lottery was expanded to allow more ticket purchases per player.
- Raids were tweaked in favor of challengers. Party level was bumped a little, barrier destroying moves were given a boost, exp gain adjusted to always reward regardless of faints.
October Updates- NPC movesets were updated from New Bark up to and including Goldenrod.
- Illuminate & Steadfast abilities were removed from ZZ's Exclusive Differences list.
- Nursery Shop items were removed from the Exclusive Differences list. Instead, the shop is now linked in the differences list as it has descriptions of each item's functions.
- Faction versions of the All in a Day's Work quest were made live.
- Everstones gained a modified version of their canon effect on form breeding. Detailed in the Nursery Supplies Shop.
- Nursery Supplies Shop received new items:
- Everstone,
- Egg Incubator,
- and Super Incubator.
- Raids further adjusted in favor of players.
- Raid Balls now give a +25% capture boost in addition to normal ball effects.
- Raid bosses now follow normal accuracy rules.
- Raid bosses are no longer immune to sleep.
- The Assistant Researcher's 300 Captured Milestone reward changed to be any TM instead of a selected list.

November Updates- Fixed farfetch'd for Challenge Tier 3 Raid. It was supposed to be Sirfetch'd since farfetch'd is Tier 2.
- Updated Fidough, Paldean Tauros', Flittle, and Tarountula with brilliant new sprites from Ashen.
- The following raid aspects have been modified:
- The Boss' Shockwave & Shield details have been moved into the public guide.
- Shockwave was removed as a selectable move option and changed to activate automatically with the Shield. It now acts exactly as per canon with the non-volatile status recovery.
- Bosses are no longer immune to non-volatile status effects or %-based damage. Instant KO special rule removed.
- Bosses no longer always move last. Normal speed rules apply, but bosses will avoid attacking consecutively.
- Mods may claim all Raid modded posts for a full mod point.
- Reduced sizing of on-site dice rolls slightly and softened the colors to work better on different themes.
- Raid wishing piece cost has been reduced and a Tutorial level was created. Credit for those who have paid for raids up to this point will be retroactively applied as follows:

Tiki + $4000
- Breaking raid barriers no longer allows any damage through.

December Updates- Egg Spawn code slightly updated with new field & notes
- Honey Tree in Eerie Wood was missing RNG note like all other trees had.
- Previewable dice rolls enabled
- Mints added to 3F Department Store
- Serious Mint changed to only clear negative stat changes.
- Super & Max Repels added to Exclusive Differences as viable items in ZZ.
- Removed 'can be requested via radar' notes on all trees in Ilex since, as a Universal RP Area, radar doesn't apply.
- Updated 1F Lotto form for change in lotto ticket selection. 1337 winning number removed; no longer mod RNG, instead it's member choice.
- Added note about unretiring & retire-swapping characters in the Character Application.
- Updated Ilex's Visitor form
- Name Rater moved from Goldenrod CBD to the Moderation Centre so it is no longer progression locked.
- Updated Hi-Lo mod code to use preview rolls.
- Added new iv. to A Quick Guide to Moderating regarding mods self-updating.
- Estate Treasure Hunting templates updated with previewable rolls for mods & is based on character badges instead of town progression. The rewards table was updated with many new item options.

January Updates- Gems were added to the exclusive sell list
- Fairy Tale Book was replaced with new canon item: Fairy Feather.
- Hisuian & Gen 9 pokemon were added to the availability list.
- Technician role was made live with accompanying thread. Pkmn/Item Updates and Mod License write-ups were updated to include a link to it.
- Move Tutor prices now include non-power based moves (ie: super fang)
- Mirror Herb was changed to be a single-use item and granted its EM transfer effect. Herbal Shop & Exclusive Sell prices reduced, and it was added to the Nursery Supplies Shop.
- Raid pricing exited special festival cost. Now T2+ raids cost more to do. T1's unaffected.
- Added Revival Blessing to exclusives list.
- Exclusives list now making use of tabs for the different sections in first post.
- Tweaked Birthday Cake description from "...but may be switched between characters..." to read "but may be freely split/used by characters".
- Added link to staff rotation tasks in Mod Rewards thread.
- Updated artist bundle for MotM
- All unfulfilled historic NPC trades now in new Trade Centre repo.

February Updates- Added clarification to pickup ability guide that it doesn't work if pokemon is already holding an item. (same as games). Also added a link to it from the Exclusive Differences.
- Added same held item clarification to Honey Gather ability in Exclusive Differences. Updated the 'in-game' effect blurb to be more accurate as well.

March Updates- Added rewards to mods for doing regular rotation tasks.
- Reintroduced sandwiches as a staple item available in Marts. Tweaked some functionalities since festival availability as noted in new handbook guide.
- Gen 9 DLC TMs added to list & noted locations.
- Metal Alloy added to RT shop.
- Added Ability Capsule and Choice items into exclusive sell lists to match previous generations.
- Tweaked Estate limitation note in Group RP & Thread Limitations thread.
- Shroodle, Varoom, Maschiff, and Fidough had their tier lowered. Greavard was uppped.
- Tweaked some site rule wordings as per Guidebook member suggestions.

April Updates- Exposed Battle Tower NPC line-up to public guide.
- Added new mod point trades:
- Cynthia in the Burned Tower
- Diantha in Goldenrod's CBD
- Riley at the Olivine Lighthouse
- Removed dive requirement for Drake's trade in Olivine.
- Johto Photo public directory listing initialized. Available to public and usable.
- Added Damage Calc, Catchrate Calc, Johto Photo, and Bulbapedia links to the Adventure Brochure Quick Links.
