I spend so much time cataloging I barely have time to get out there and do field work at this point."

"I could really use some help; a field assistant. You show such promise! And I was hoping you would help gather information for me along your travels using that handy Pokédex. All I'd need you to do is explore the region trying to collect and see as many pokémon as you possibly can so that I can more easily analyze the findings. It's as simple as pointing that device at a wild pokémon! Though, I could get much more from being able to interact with the pokémon if you captured it."

Details:

Professor Elm needs your help to complete his catalog of all pokémon and their evolutions! In order to complete this quest you will need to travel all over Johto searching for Dex entries. As you see &/or capture pokémon you can keep track of your progress here.

• To start, simply create a new thread in the Pokédex sub-board.
• This quest can be undertaken by each of your characters. Progress is counted individually and from the moment they start the quest -- no earlier.
• A mod will setup visual Pokédex's for each region. Any pokémon currently in the character's possession (party & pc) will be updated*. From then onward, any new encounters or captures you can add to your dex by posting a link to the relevant encounter/acquisition in your quest thread. It is up to you to make sure your Dex is kept up-to-date.
  
  *See Sharing between characters below for more info. Any special ZZ Exclusive Sprite pokémon count as a regular entry.
  
• Pokémon captured before they started the quest may count toward their Dex if there is proof they owned it for a time (whether by use in battle or via OT). Previously Seen do not count.
• Seen pokémon are counted in the classic game sense: you must have battled it.
• Sharing Between Characters
  

  You may have the same pokémon counted on multiple of your characters, but only up to 30 dex entries. If you captured pokémon on one character and then transferred them to another, but only want them to count for the second character that does not take up a shared slot.
  
  If a character has already counted said pokémon in their dex then you may not decide to un-count them in favor of the second character to avoid taking up shared slots. So choose wisely!
  
  Shared slots are independent per character. So if Character 2 wants to count Harry the Houndour owned by Character 1 to avoid capturing one themselves, that only takes up one of Character 2's shared slots. If Character 2 got their own houndour later on you could make a special request to clear that shared slot.
