Adrian was slowly getting used to this whole patrol thing. He would check the notice boards at the police station, or even the work rotation list on his pokegear, and he would make his way to the town he was to take his shift in. Sometimes, he wouldn't be scheduled at all for days at a time, and other times, he hardly got a break, but he supposed that wasn't too inordinary when your staff were all trainers who could potentially be journeying for gyms at the same time so that they could expand their capabilities and responsibilities.
Adrian could use Cut and Rock Smash outside of battle, but he hadn't gotten a hold of either HM. He heard that there was someone in Azalea who might know where or how to get Cut, but he had been too busy to pry into manners.
His life had become incredibly full as of late.
No more was he the uncertain man looking for a fresh start in life, walking off a train with hardly any money or a clue about how battles worked. He did his research. He now had a ranch and a breeding business. And he was a part of the police force. Free time was a myth. Yet, he couldn't find it in himself to complain. Not when he felt so...content.
Today he was in the often sleepy little town of Cherrygrove for a night patrol. And while he was still Bike Patrol without a bike, he didn't have to be on foot anymore. At least, not as long as Heimdal was willing to humor him. The recently evolved arcanine was once a growlithe he traded for a nidorino a few months back, and had been guarding his ranch in the meantime. But now? Adrian had decided to bring him along and look even more official riding to trouble on top of the majestic pokemon.
He'd heard about a bit of unrest that had a lot of officers responding as of late to a matter, but for the first hour or so of his patrol, he didn't see anything amiss. But suddenly, Heimdal became alert and wuffed, staring in the direction of something... Adrian pat the arcanine's shoulder and they hurried off in that direction and were soon bombarded over the walkie-talkie by officers reporting a pokemon rampaging in the streets and destroying them! Several officers were closing in on the area, but upon the arcanine's back, Adrian moved incredibly fast. And he put his trust in the fire-hound's instincts.
Soon they stumbled upon upturned cobbles and the earth trembled now and then, making the loose stone tremble.
"Find the source," Adrian urged Heimdal.
And soon they were searching the destruction for signs of what caused it. Where was this rampaging pokemon? However, the arcanine didn't lead deeper into the destruction, rather, he ran off in a different direction before wuffing again and slowing to a stop, nose to the street. Adrian slid off the arcanine's back and looked around, not seeing anything until he stumbled over a raised bump in the street. Oh... was...something tunneling UNDER these stones?
The pair followed the trail and were suddenly confronted by a very erratically behaving dugtrio! The ground pokemon looked like it was trying to break into? Under? One of the houses along the street in its rampage.
This wouldn't do.
(Maybe one of the native diglett evolved and it was doing some weird territorial display?)
Adrian didn't know and he knew that he wasn't safe trying to chase off a wild pokemon without a little help.
"Ace, you're up! I need you to calm that dugtrio down!" he called out, throwing a ball and revealing his scyther. The lightning quick mantis had proven a highly valuable asset and loyal friend since being captured. She never seemed to lose her cool about anything. It was remarkable. With that undeniable calm, she darted forward, wings glowing, ready to potentially stun the ground time into listening into reason with a well placed strike.

The Dugtrio was trying its best to get inside the quant house in Cherrygrove City. However, its attempt was now halted by Adrian on his speedy Arcanine. The ground type now needed to deal with an interference! Turning around, it spotted a Scyther facing it instead of the Arcanine. It knew it couldn't hit the opponent with a simple Dig, so something else would have to do! Each of the Dugtrio's head mouth opened, glowing with different color. One yellow, one red, and one light blue. The Dugtrio quickly fired their attack in unison, hitting the Scyther straight on! The light blue's blast froze some of the Scyther's wings, and then more of the bug Pokemon, until she was completely immobile! Her lower limbs were now frozen solid, and she landed on the ground with a thud! The Dugtrio fired Tri Attack again, but it wasn't like Ace could fly away and dodge this time. She was hit right away! The mole Pokemon was standing on its ground! Wild Encounter

First hit and frozen?! What were the odds. Adrian watched his speed scyther get outsped and turned into a block of ice. One that didn't even budge after another tri attack slammed into it. He swore under his breath and rummaged through his bag. He should have thought things through better. Maybe if he did some research, he'd have prepared for this! No use crying over it now. All he could do was hope a Full Heal would cleanse the status and then Ace could get back to wing attacking.
So that's what he tried, inching closer to his felled scyther, one arm in his pack. He eyed the dugtrio, just to make sure he didn't get caught in the crossfire, and pulled out a potion. He looked it over, making sure he grabbed the right medicine bottle. Oh. Pink bottle. He forgot he had Ice Heal in here from one of his raffle card winnings.
Well that would work for this!
Adrian crouched behind Scyther and spritzed away.
"Heimdal, I need you to go to the house and make sure the people inside are okay." he ordered. Hopefully the Arcanine in his little blue police vest would be a calming presence rather than a starling one. Large pokemon showing up after all this quaking probably would be upsetting otherwise.
The fire hound barked and bounded off, crossing the street and avoiding the dugtrio swiftly. His focus was the house. He nosed at the door and windows, peering in to see if the house had been broken into or not. Even if it had not been, he wanted to see if anyone inside looked distressed, such as having had a bookshelf topple onto them unexpectedly and they were calling for help!
Adrian emptied the ice heal and stood up, sighing in relief as Ace started to move again, flicking water off her limbs. She was still sluggish...and very revved for a fight. Okay. NOW it was getting personal.
"SCYYYY!" she cried out.
"Ace, keep your cool. Let's try this again. Use wing attack. Keep it distracted while Heimdal makes sure there's nobody hurt and in need of attention." And also so they could buy time for others to show up. Not that he heard anyone.
(If he was a little bit better of a team player, he might have realized in that instant that it might have been proactive to call for back up himself, and report the incident. But in the heat of battle, he was just focused on getting the destruction to stop.)

The Dugtrio was by itself so it didn't chase after the Arcanine, not that it could in a battle or something, right? It let out a loud growl, as if a warning to the Arcanine running around to check the perimeter, but it ended up reaching the Scyther's eardrum instead. Poor Ace didn't get a chance to deter the animalistic sound after the human sprayed some thawing compounds around the chunky ice surrounding it. "PLEASE LET ME GET IN THE HOUSE! I WAS OUTSIDE IN THE YARD WHEN I SAW SOMEONE CAME IN NOT THROUGH THE DOORS! MY HUMANS ARE IN TROUBLE! I'M THE ONLY STRONGEST POKEMON THEY HAVE!" The ground type let out a pleading growl, hoping the Scyther and maybe the Arcanine could hear its plea. When Scyther thought that was done, it let out a scream again. "AAH! IT'S BEEN TOO QUIET! WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM? I NEED TO KNOW!" The sound startled the bug type, but she kept her cool and went to strike the opponent with her glowing wings. "They're usually watching evening news right now, and if they had left the house for dinner, they would have brought me along. What's going on?" The Dugtrio spoke this one normally, wondering what's going on if this Scyther wasn't in the way. Wild Encounter

<You need to calm down> Ace replied as she was screamed at by an angry dugtrio. <Our human can help check on your humans, but he can't understand our speech. To the humans it looks like you're trying to damage this property. So please, I need you to calm yourself. We're checking on the people inside now. Isn't that right, Heimdal?>
The arcanine woofed back in confirmation as he nosed around the property, still trying to listen for signs of people being hurt inside. <I don't hear anyone...but they might be further in the house. The lights are off...Maybe your humans are sleeping?> But those were some heavy sleepers if they were dozing through the quaking made but the upset dugtrio.
Adrian, oblivious, commanded Ace to wing attack again to try to help get the rampaging pokemon under control. Ace spread her wings and complied, trying to get between the upset ground-type and the house. She would strike the mole if it came closer.
<I know you are upset, and for good reason, but you can damage your persons' home if you keep this up. I need you to be rational. If you calm down, my human will try to contact you human and make sure they're alright. He's a strong trainer. He can help. And it's our job to help. Look at that snazzy vest the arcanine over there is wearing. See how it's blue? That signifies he's part of the local police force, like...all official. Me, well, they don't have vests in my size, but I'm on the same team.>
Arcanine pawed at a door, seeing if any were unlocked and would swing open. He also looked for open windows and signs of breaking and entering. Smashed glass, removed window screens, doors off their hinges...that sort of thing. He also searched around for footprints that seemed out of place. Unusual smells.
All the while scyther stalled, stalled, stalled. Trying as fast and as hard as she could to diffuse this situation.
<Hopefully, we will be able to bring your person out here, and they can show they're alright. Would that be okay with you? I'll try my best to do that if you just calm down.> But scyther was prepared to battle until the poor pokemon was exhausted to just ensure it calmed down enough to actually listen to reason. As reason wasn't in the mole's head right now.

"Calm down?! CALM DOWN?!" The trio of heads shouted in unison, "WOULD YOU CALM DOWN IF YOUR TRAINER WAS IN DANGER?!" it screeched and trashed around wildly, breaking up even more of the road and slamming into the fundation of the house, which made it impossible for it to get in. "Something is wrong! I know it! They need me!"The dugtrio was completely out of it and certainly wouldn't listen to any reason. Footsteps was heard behind Adrian and if he looked he would see that some other had heard the call for help and arrived. She was in uniform but clearly very new and inexperienced, her whole body oozed of nervousness and fear, she looked immensely relieved to see that someone else was already here and handling the situation. She gave Adrian a court nod, if he looked and would busy herself looking like she was watching his back and doing important police work, but made sure to stay at a safe distance. "NO!" The dugtrio shrieked way beyond listening and made Ace flinch from the high tones, "THEY NEED ME!" It repeated and left Ace with only one option. Swiftly she was at it and with a precise hit with her wing, she knocked it out and it disappeared underground. Meanwhile the arcanine was nosing around the house, the curtains were closed, it was night after all, but the door had clear marks of having been broken up, although you'd have to look closely to see the signs. Seemed like the dugtrio was right something wasn't right here. Angry voices were heard inside. Since the lock had been broken it was obviously not locked and when Heimdal pawed at it, it swung open. The female officer had carefully stepped closer to look inside curiously, and froze at the sight. Two men standing in the middle of the room turned to the door and pointed at each other accusingly. "Arrest him!" They both demanded, almost in unison. A fearful peep escaped the girl and she looked panicked at Adrian, begging him to handle this as well. Oh boy. A shame the dugtrio wasn't around right now to ask about it. (ooc: Wing attack did too little damage last round, technician should made it at least 27 in damage. Just means it ends faster  )

Heimdal woofed upon finding the door loose. He pawed it open to continue sniffing around and paused when he spotted two humans who froze, pointed at each other, and called for arrest. The mighty hound peered over his shoulder and saw the rookie officer. He lifted his head, as if waiting for her to take the lead. She was wearing a uniform too.
Out front, Adrian let out a long sigh as the dugtrio fainted. Okay. That was done. He ran the back of his hand across his forehead, "I wonder what this was all about..."
Scyther, who knew what the dugtrio was screaming about, nudged Adrian with a claw before zooming away. Adrian glanced down the hole in the cobbles before following at a job. "Ace? What's up?" Oh. It was the fellow rookie that came to help. She was staring into an open door with his Arcanine. She looked over at him with a fearful peep. Welp, looked like he was going to be handling this one on his own.
Adrian laid a wary hand on his taser as he rounded the corner, concerned that the broken door meant there was an injured person inside and a violent criminal standing over them, But what he saw instead was a mess...and two men standing opposite of each other. Pointing fingers.
"Both of you, hands where I can see them," he would move his hand to flash his badge. Somebody was lying here. Somebody was accusing an innocent. But who? It was impossible to tell at a glance. "IDs please. Heimdal, look around, make sure nobody else in the house." And if they complied, he would take them aside in turn to ask them questions. Ace remained at the broken door, alert and ready to chase someone if they fled. And Heimdal was sniffing around the crime scene. Did the house smell more like one of the persons than the other? Oh! Maybe if he found a couch or a bedroom, he could sus out the liar through all the smells.
The Arcanine quite boldly snuffled both the men (given he was quite tall, it was probably their hair he was sniffing with curious, doggy snuffles) before padding deeper into the house, nosing at the damage already done inside the home. Dugtrio had mentioned being worried because its people weren't watching the news like they should be at this time. So he looked for a living room first, assuming that the couch should have the smells of the people. And if he caught scent of another person that wasn't one of the men in the other room, he would go try to find them and make sure they weren't injured. He was a good boy and very happy that he was able to put his boundless energy to work. The Ranch was peaceful, but could be rather dull for the work-oriented hound.
Adrian was a lot less informed about the situation, but he would do his best to keep things controlled and contained.
First, he spoke to the man in red, and then the man in blue, asking the same questions in a calm manner.
"Repeat your full name. Age. Birthday. Address." He could reference it against the IDs he took earlier. It wouldn't be hard to determine the address of this house and if it aligned with the ID card. If there were no IDs or neither of them matched, it would get more complicated. But he would ask what happened and for both of them to tell him the series of events that occurred before he arrived. And lastly, as he was asking these questions, he would look the men over. He liked to think himself fairly observant and decent at ready body language, but he needed hard evidence to make an accusations, such as signs one of them broke into the house through that door. Was one of them wearing shoes and the other not? A lack of shoes might imply one of them was settling in for the night and being comfortable in his own home. Little details. They all added up.

The man in red smiled as you began talking to him first, but he seemed to be slightly out of breath. "Officer, thank goodness you're here. You have to get this intruder out of the house! Eh? My ID? I'm sure it's around here somewhere, I don't have it on me right now! My name is Arthur McClean, and I just got home a little while ago to find this person rummaging around through my stuff! You have to get them out of my house, Officer! They used some kind of powder to knock my tyke out, maybe something derived from an ivysaur's flower? I didn't even hear them when they came in, they must have climbed up through the second floor window! Go upstairs and check, I promise I'll wait here!" Arthur said with a pleading tone. The man in blue fumed as the man in red, Arthur, told his tale, but respectfully waited for their turn to talk.  Peter said, explaining their side of the story. "Thank goodness it was just you lot! Please officers, check on my little Lily!"Arthur growled frustratedly. "You can't honestly believe this man, can you? Take him away from here, and I'll go search for my ID and bring it by the station later! I have to attend to my daughter. I know it was just sleep powder, but she'll be so confused when she wakes up! I need to be here for her, and you need to get this dangerous man out of my house!" Peter looked nervously from Arthur to Adrian, unsure of how to be behaving right now. Their face was flushed, and they seemed overwhelmed. "What?! You can't take me away! I need to make sure that my Lily is okay! What is he talking about, sleep powder?!" He looks like he wants to run out of this room, but whether he wants to run outside or to the child's room, you're not sure as his eyes dart frantically from you to the man. Heimdall's sniff had revealed that the man in red had quite a bitter smell to him, kind of an unnatural scent like something derived from a plant. The man in blue had a smell which reflected the house a lot more closely, and he must have been on the couch recently. As Heimdall searched through through the house, when they came upstairs they found a small girl on her bed, thoroughly asleep and wearing pajamas, but on top of the sheets with some kind of a bitter smelling powder scattered around the room. They didn't look injured at all, but the scene was definitely unnatural and the girl wasn't stirring despite the commotion happening. |

Adrian listened to them both, his eyes narrowing a bit at the man in red. He was acting a little shifty and his story wasn't adding up. The intruder came through the second story window? When it was the door was that clearly showing signs of a break in. That would have been loud given that it looked like it might have been forced by a crowbar or by kicking. Adrian had not lingered long enough to ascertain which.
But on top of that, where the man in red was vague, pointing fingers and being far too specific about some things and not specific enough about others—the man in blue was showing a cooperative willingness to prove himself here and now.
Even without proof, he was certain the man in red was the liar and intruder. As the man in blue mentioned a name of a child and what could very well be the name of the pokemon outside if that dugtrio was a guard rather than an invader. And why in the world would a victim know the specifics behind a sleep powder on a child? Why ivysuar specifically? Even if you knew what sleep powder looked like, there were many grass and bug pokemon that could produce sleep inducing spores.
Upstairs, the arcanine woofed softly, nosing the sleeping girl before sneezing on the powder. Ick. Bitter. Bitter like the man in red. The other man's smell seemed to permeate the house, while the bitterness clung to his opposition. He padded downstairs and barked again, drawing Adrian's attention.
"Heimdal, is there a child upstairs?"
Wuff of confirmation. Tail wag.
He glanced over his shoulder at the rookie that had joined him and was still in the doorway, "Escort Mr. Bloom upstairs to find his Passport. If he can produce one and confirm his identity, then check on the child. If the child is asleep and cannot be woken, call for medical. Ace will go with you as back up. Is that alright, Mr. Bloom?" It should be if he was innocent. Ace would zip over to join them, ready to escort the pair upstairs.
Once the man in blue and the man in red were separated, Adrian looked at Heimdal, who snuffled him again to confirm that bitter smell. He growled.
"Sir, I need you to put your hands behind your back." Adrian was already pulling out some cuffs. "I have reason to believe you are the intruder here." He started on the mandatory spiel one gave before handcuffing a person, fully intending to do a search of this man's pockets for that sleeping powder that was mentioned. Maybe it was foolish to trust Heimdal's nose on this, but the misaligned story and unwillingness to find identification while police were present just made him very suspect.

The man in red, who had introduced himself as Arthur McClean, felt a cold shiver run down his spine as the all too familiar clicking cuffs were heard. Sweat poured down his face as the Arcanine moved menacingly towards him, growling. The situation was dire but he was not without his tricks. As Adrian was about to slap the cuffs onto him, he suddenly threw his head back, and with a theatrical flourish, he ripped off his hat, revealing a shock of fiery red hair underneath. A triumphant grin danced upon his lips, like a serpent unfurling under a basket. "Ah, officer, you've uncovered my little charade!" He chuckled, his voice dripping with a wicked, honeyed charm. "But you're dealing with the wrong man, you see! I'm not Arthur. My name is Kyle and you better remember it when I take you down!" In the blink of an eye, he tore away his red jacket, revealing a sleek black jumpsuit emblazoned with a crimson 'R' that seemed to burn with iconic malice. His transformation was complete; he was no longer the desperate pleading homeowner but an agent of Team Rocket, the notorious criminal organisation. With a dramatic sweep of his hand, Kyle summoned a small, round Pokeball from his belt and with a deft flick of his wrist, he released his partner in crime, Diglett into the fray. The earth Pokemon emerged, its beady eyes glinting in the light as it burrowed across the floor. "Well, well, well," Kyle purred, his voice laced with a dangerous edge. "It appears you've walked right into our little trap, officer. Now, let's see if you can handle a taste of Team Rocket's might!" The Diglett, a seemingly innocuous creature, suddenly grew fierce and menacing as it prepared for battle. It gave Adrian a threatening glance despite its diminutive size, ready to carry out the dastardly plans of Team Rocket. "Prepare yourselves for trouble," Kyle continued, a sly grin twisting his lips, "and make it double! You won't take me down so easily!"   Rocket Grunt Kyle unveils himself and sends his Diglett (level 12) out to battle! |

As he was about to put the cuffs on Arthur, he snaked free and whirled, smirking at him as he exposed himself as a member of team rocket. Adrian scowled. He'd already dealt with these fools before. A pair of bumbling idiots helped jumpstart his career as a breeder when he ended up with three eggs at the start of his journey because of their failed burglary. He never did learn exactly which of those three eggs were the 'special' one that they wanted to bring to their bossman, as they didn't seem certain themselves. But after rescuing the eggs and telling Elm and Mr. Pokemon about the situation...well, he ended up hatching them himself. All three pokemon were safe and far, far away from Rocket hands.
"You're not going to take me down," Adrian deadpanned. "If you're anything like the last idiots I dealt with, you're probably all hot air." Heimdal padded between them, growling again. There was no need to panic. This wasn't their first encounter with grunts and he doubted it would be their last while in this job. "Gotta wonder though...I thought Team Rocket was out of commission when your boss was taken out in Kanto." Adrian grew up with those black uniforms skulking around. He knew what they meant and how incredible it was that they were disbanded a couple years back.
"Since it looks like you're not going to surrender, Heimdal...handle this. But no fire." They were in a house and setting the walls and floor ablaze seemed like a good way to get reported to his supervisor for needless property damage. Mr. Bloom also would have a hard enough time fixing up the house as it was, with the broken door, messed up lawn and the chaos of overturned furniture downstairs.
Heimdal understood the orders and heeded them well. He moved with lightning fast speed to trample the diglet and any ensuing pokemon that rocket tried to throw their way. His objective was ultimately to pounce on the Rocket and pin him. It was like an elaborate game of fetch. And he'd fetch the bad guy real good. Nobody fetched gooder than this good boy. And with him using just his speed and body weight to handle the situation, there was no risk of further property damage, and the odds of injury were minimal. The grunt tightened his fist in the air. "Hey, don't compare me to whoever idiot you faced! There's a lot of rocket members and I don't even know all of them! You're full of hot assumptions!""I don't need to tell you much details, but maybe you thought Team Rockets was out of commission. Obviously I am not going to surrender! Diglett, use Dig!" Grunt Kyle replied, voicing aggression in his voice. His tiny ground type began trying to dig under, but the speedy Arcanine's Extreme Speed was quick enough to knock Diglett off the gruond-- and the earth it was holding on. No one still knows what Diglett looked like out of the ground! The small ground type fell on the ground, unconscious. "Hmm! I am not done yet! Meowth, we've got work to do!" He swapped out his Pokemon, and angrily sent out his next choice of Pokemon. The normal type crawled on the ground, and stare at its opponent with determination.
 Heimdal gained 2 level and is now Level 18!  Guardian gained 1 level from EXP share and is now Level 15! He can learn Teleport, delete a move?  Kyle sent out his (Level 9) Meowth! running shoes not used and not needed |

"You can explain that at the station," Adrian deadpanned. He hoped that Mr. Bloom and the rookie had the little girl upstairs handled. He hadn't heard any battling up there, so he assumed the man showed the rookie his passport and was trying to wake up his little girl. He'd need to apologize later for knocking out the dugtrio. Apparently the pokemon belonged to the owner and was trying to get in to help and NOT cause wanton destruction to the streets.
"Heimdal, extreme speed again," he commanded. He watched as the large hound trampled the meowth readily under his massive paws. Assuming that meowth didn't get back up (and even if it did, he didn't feel threatened enough to worry about turning his back on it, the arcanine would pounce onto the Rocket.
Wuff!
Adrian reached again for his handcuffs, "Good boy." If Heimdal somehow missed the meowth, Adrian was prepared to toss Guardian out to finish the job, but he closed in on the Rocket to finalize the arrest regardless. He knew he could trust Arcanine to protect him.
He patted the great hound's shoulder and mane, "You did great today. You're getting so many treats later..."Adrian then breathed in and started reciting the arrest speech again. Right to remain silent and all that. Hopefully this time he'd be able to wrangle the man into the cuffs before he slipped off.
"Hey rookie, everything okay up there? Does the kid need an ambulance?" Adrian called out. Then he remembered he had a radio now. He pushed the button to check in with the other officers. "Uh, Officer Hartt reporting from a Cherrygrove residence. I have found the cause of the local disturbance and have apprehended a Team Rocket member. I am with another officer who is checking on the home owner and determining if medical aid is needed." He took in a deep breath and added location and more details. When he finally sounded off, he would stare down at the handcuffed officer under his arcanine's paws. "Why were you even here? Stealing pokemon?"
Adrian didn't know about the resident's reputation for making and distributing the Dig TM and how he'd moved from Kanto after a similar break in. Though no doubt that would become evident once he was properly able to talk to the resident and make sure he was fine and get his statement about what occurred here. He just hoped the kid was fine. The broken door and stuff littering the floor could be fixed or replaced. A traumatized child was a much harder casualty of a break in like this. With luck, it was just sleeping powder, and the kid was blissfully unaware of anything that happened today. — Word Count: 460 (+400) | OOC:

Rocket Kyle found himself in a perilous predicament as the blazing speed of Heimdal's Extreme Speed attack sent Meowth crashing to the ground, unconscious and unable to fight. The ground quivered under the force of the canine's relentless assault and Kyle felt the walls of his bravado crumbling beneath the weight of impending defeat. Seeing a slim chance of escape, Kyle attempted to flee, but the Arcanine was swift and relentless, cutting off his escape route. Like a cornered animal, he stood his ground, knowing there was no way out but to face the inevitable. Sweating and breathing heavily, Kyle's voice was laced with defiance as he attempted to salvage some pride. "You may have won today, officer, but don't think for a second that this is the end of Team Rocket. We're not mere thieves, we're a force that will rise again, stronger than ever!" As the handcuffs were applied, sealing his fate, Kyle couldn't hide the simmering anger in his eyes. The remnants of a fallen foe who clung to a fading hope of retribution. Amidst the aftermath of the confrontation, a reassuring voice echoed from the staircase, calming the tumultuous situation. "Officer Hartt, the child upstairs is safe," the rookie officer reported. "She has woken up, and Mr. Bloom has presented his identity documents, verifying his story. She needs some medical attention, but there's no immediate danger. Oh, by the way there is a crate full of TMs here, you might want to take a look at this sir."
VICTORY!
Heimdal gained 1 level and is now Level 19! Guardian gained 1 level from EXP share and is now Level 16! Rocket Grunt Kyle was defeated and drops £500
OOC: Think all that's left is investigate the crate, take a witness statement from Mr Bloom and escort the Rocket grunt to the station. |

"Heimdal, keep this guy detained. I'm going to go upstairs." Funny to think that he was the 'less rookie' of the rookies here, but regardless of their experience, things had to be done. He went upstairs and found Ace with the family and the other officer. After checking on the child as well, he would take Bloom's witness statement of the whole event on a fresh sheet of paper. How the man broke in, what happened after and what he thought Team Rocket might be after. That was when he learned about Mr. Bloom's history with the Rocket's and the crate of TMs that he'd originally been planning to gift the station.
Adrian asked to be shown the crate so he could examine the scene. It didn't look well secured, but if the man was planning to haul them to the station anyway, he probably wanted them in an easy to move location.
"If you'd like, just so you can rest easy and not worry about your house being broken into again so they can steal these, I can have someone take these to the station? That way you can take care of your daughter and rest easier...I'm sorry this happened to you sir..." The veneer of professionalism helped keep a certain emotional distance. Made talking easier in this context. There were guidebooks and scripts for how to handle victims on crime scenes, unlike random people you met on the street who wanted to be friends. "And if you don't feel safe here with your door broken in...I can um...try to find out if there's an inn nearby with a vacancy?" It was the middle of the night but...
He rubbed the back of his head.
Uncertain.
But he'd do his best to maintain the scene until his back up arrived to handle the finer details like taking photographs and evidence so that the Rocket could be put behind bars. The detectives had their purpose after all!
It wasn't too long before he was able to pull the Rocket off the floor and start their way back to the station. Hopefully someone brought a car around. He would give one last wave to Bloom before he left. And he felt...good about himself. About his work here today. He trusted his instincts and that of his pokemon and they detained a Rocket. That could have gone poorly if they'd accidentally arrested the home owner...
Hopefully the dugtrio would wake up soon and be assured that its person would be watching TV on the couch again soon like normal.
