Team Notes: Kumaneko HP 30/60; Ika HP 67/69
The small mushroom’s yelling would certainly catch both Pokemon and trainer’s attentions. Mishu stopped and turned to stare at the small bug Pokemon who’s back had small red mushrooms growing out of its exoskeleton in an odd fashion. She plucked her bag off her back and immediately rummaged around for her journal, which she pulled out with ease and opened to the pages where she’d previously noted different facts about the strange fungi infected bugs. They also enjoy eating moss that has grown on different surfaces, such as trees or rocks. She noted carefully.
Kumaneko hopped in front of Mishu and Ika with her hands raised in a threatening manner. She had her claws extended as though she were ready to rip through the small bug without so much as a second thought. “Who do you think you are?!” The panda cub demanded, taking a daring step closer to both Paras and its rock. “That sounded like a threat! And I don’t take threats lightly! I have half a mind to rip you and your precious moss to pieces, just so you know who you’re dealing with!” Kumaneko raised her hackles and spat vehemently as she spoke to the wild bug.
It was Ika who used her common sense to pluck her friend up in her small tentacles and float her off a good distance away. “Calm down, Kumaneko.” Ika insisted with a soft smile, though this only made things worse. “Me, calm down?! What about that threatening bug!” Ika laughed and shook her head firmly. She glanced back towards the small Paras and the large, moss covered rock. “Yes, you. You’re overreacting, don’t you think?” Kumaneko huffed so angrily that if she had been part fire, as she exhaled flames would have surely left her lips. Thankfully, she wasn’t. “You didn’t hear what I heard?! That little bug has got to pay!” Kumaneko snapped.
“Let me try to reason with it. If it won’t listen to me, then feel free to handle it your way. Deal?” She reached one small tentacle out to shake on it with her friend, who crossed her small cub arms over her chest and huffed. Then Kumaneko sighed…and thought about it. Hard. Ok…alright. Fine. “Deal. And when you fail, that bug is ALL MINE!” Ika would then float over and bow apologetically towards Paras. “I am SO sorry about my friend! And about our careless behavior! We don’t want your moss, I promise!” She insisted softly, hoping to appeal to Paras’ better sense. “We’re only passing through.” She would gently pick up the bits of moss Kumaneko accidentally knocked off the rock and try to hand (pluck) them back Paras. “If you’ll let us pass through, we will leave you alone in peace.” Ika promised.

The defensive paras only seemed to get more agitated at the yelling. It wasn't someone they could just bully with stomping and being loud! It wasn't one of those timid, helpless bugs that wailed and quailed and winced away from challenges. Oh no no. It faced them. Head. On. It lifted its claws and tried to look bigger, huddling over its mossy snack as the pancham screamed threats at it. <It is MY MOSS. And you can't chase me away! Get your OWN!> Hisssss. Little buggy chitters. It lunged a bit at the pancham, just trying to assert itself and be intimidating. Not really trying to hit the little panda. And that was when the Inka interjected herself. It chittered at the Inkay too, now feeling surrounded by threats. Go awaaaaay. It wasn't strong enough to protect its meal from this many threats. But it couldn't let them know. Couldn't let them see or sense its hesitation. It kept fussing until Ika started to put the moss back on the rock. It was...suspicious...but it quieted. Watchful. Then it squinted at Ika. <If you leave, I guess...I won't beat you up... So shoo... And um...tell your friend to leave my moss alone!> ooc// Pluck is a OHKO
