Skye receives not only a precious travel partner, but an amazing gift of a Pokedex. It was a shame that he did not get to meet the Elm in person yet, as he did have a couple questions about what it meant to be a Researcher of Pokémon. With a new, grand task ahead of him, he was certaintly bound to learn something and get closer to his goals. The Bulbasaur, named Sunny, for the simple reason he enjoyed basking in th sunlight was walking ahead of him. The nurturing instincts of the creature were in full effect as they diligently scanned the surroundings whilst advancing towards Route 29. A single vine was sprouted from their side, and looped around Skye's hand, and there was no intention of letting go anytime soon.
His mind did not focus too much on that fact he was touching a Pokémon right now, as the wanna-be researcher was engrossed with the functions of the Pokédex. He manages to pop it open the device with a few curious presses by finding a button on the side, and then a few taps he manages to navigate to the Camera Function and points the scanner towards Bulbasaur. "Ah. You're already registered. Okay... What else can this baby do?" he rambled to himself. The boy amuses himself by rereading the data that it had on him, he was in his own little world.
As they reach the outskirts Bulbasaur comes to a sudden stop while looking towards a Bug Catcher with an attentive look. While they weren't showing aggression, they were suspicious and gauging this man to make sure they are not a threat to their trainer. Skye came to a stop, looking up to observe the very ill looking boy. A look of concern overwhelms him. "Oh dear..." he murmured under his breath.
Skye knew more than anybody that this world wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, and he certaintly found someone who had it way more rough than he did. Not to discount his struggles, but it puts into preceptive just how precious life could be. The Bug catcher is approaching him, but Skye places on a confident facade quickly. A bright smile is beamed at the boy to try and put him at ease, as the Trainer gets the sense he probably longed to be treated like a normal person.
"Hey! Beautiful day, huh?"
"Nice to meet you, I'm Skye!"
"And this is Sunny."
The duo are told of Kent's story, that he has an illness he won't get into, not that Skye would even want to pry for this information, curious as he is. A sudden request it thrusted upon him. A rather rare looking Pokémon for the Johto Region is presented as a gift, along with a mission to collect all the variant of it's evolutions, a topic that is still foreign for a Rookie Trainer for him. A serious demeanor is flashed as he reaches out to take the Pokeball from him. How could he say no to someone's Dying Wish?
"Yes of course, Kent..."
"I'll help you realize your dream."
"It'll take me some time, but I'll do it."
Just hold on, Kent...

Nature/Personality: Lax Nature | This Scatterbug is laid-back and relaxed, taking life at a leisurely pace. He doesn't get stressed easily and prefers calm activities like taking slow walks or enjoying nature. Despite being easygoing, they still enjoy exploring their surroundings and finding new things to discover. They enjoy munching plants and leaves, the crunchier the better!
