There was no time to think or prepare. Adrian swore and grabbed Tommy, pushing the boy he was trying to escort OUT of this forest, to the ground. He protected the kid from the ghost with his own body, shielding him. If he was grazed by that toxic attack, hopefully the leather of his jacket would shelter him from the effects... Because he wasn't sure if he'd be in any shape to rescue the kid if he was poisoned. Tommy yelped in alarm, but thankfully, the attack sailed past them, and neither of them were hurt worse than a few bruises. Adrian quickly checked the kid over, making sure he didn't break any bones, before he scooped him. In one smooth gesture, he was back on his feet, the nine-year-old boy in his arms as he ran for Heimdal. 

"Zoro! Protect our back!"

The tauros bellowed and charged again, this time, seeing his foe clearly as he swung his horns wildly.

Tommy whimpered.

"Shhh, it's okay. Everything will be okay."

"But the chikorita..."

Adrian realized then that he left the pokemon on the ground when he scooped Tommy. With another uttered oath of frustration (sorry Tommy's parents, he was teaching your kid bad words), he put Tommy on Heimdal's back and ran for the chikorita. Relying on Zoro to keep it active, he scooped the ill grass type again, "Sorry. I've got you." He scurried away again, glancing momentarily back at Zoro before he looked around him. They looked trapped but...they had to try to escape this fog somehow. He pulled himself onto Heimdal's back, "Burn away the red fog! Try to clear us a path!"

His arcanine responded with a howl before breathing a column of fire.

Zoro growled and then charged forward toward the Misdreavus, stampeding the forest ground with high speed that the Misdreavus barely had time to react. The ghost was slammed from the Tauros's menacing energy and groaned in pain. "Not bad but I will end you here now!" The ghost type's eyes glowed purple or pink as it concentrated on the hooved Pokemon. Zoro mooed as he was gently lifted by the ghost type, but it wasn't a too powerful psychic attack, as he was quickly put back down on the ground, albeit a little sharply.

The fighting type turned around, stomping on the ground heroically and then ran forward for another charges against the Misdreavus for harassment. The ghost type was bonked strongly with the Tauros's sharp horns, and poked hole in its statement. The defeated ghost cackled one more time making its one last statement as it faded, dejected in defeat and faded away. The Ilex Forest was now slightly less cursed and dreadful.
