It was a beautiful day as Kito had just returned to the city. He was delayed due to team rocket now that was a problem for a later date. As he was walking around the city he could not help but hear loud barking. Looking around he notices 3 houndour chasing a youngster. Well now this will not do now will it. Don't worry young man I will be more than happy to help you. Kito reaches for 2 of his pokeballs, throwing them in front of the houndour to get there attention. Now that I have your attention I will be your opponent.

Rumors surrounded the wooded areas around Cherrygrove and spread like wildfire, causing many to question their validity. Many parents kept their children close by and warned them that they must never wander too close to the forested areas because of the strange black hounds that would chase them down. Some would scare their young with tall tales of children who went missing never to be seen again, their only crime seemingly being naughty by not taking their parents’ heed. Schoolboy Jimmy heard the tales a million times over, and never once did he let them bother him as he’d never seen anything strange in his favorite clearing spot in the woods. When the Pidgey hushed in their nests, Jimmy paused and blinked with a soft hum and gentle shrug. He never scared them off before, as they all knew him by now and knew that his Pokemon posed them no harm. Maybe they were preparing their nests for their own eggs that would magically appear in time, and needed to focus instead of singing like they normally did? He sat down on the large rock that made one of the nicest natural chairs Jimmy had ever had the pleasure of sitting on. He cracked open his book and took in a deep whiff of the pages with a large smile. There was nothing like the smell of a good book! His eyes ate away at the pages hungrily, visions of the mysterious shaggy furred legendary with large spikes jutting out of its sides and a thick, smoky mane running down its back dancing in his head. A howl broke Jimmy’s concentration away from his book. He scarcely had a moment to think before three black dogs with fire billowing from their mouths descended upon him from every angle. They barked and growled as Jimmy shimmied up the base of a large oak tree and clung to one of its large branches, convulsing in large shivers from fear. “WAAAAHHHH! HEEELLLPPP MEEEEEE! II’MMM SORRRYYY MOOOMMYYY!” Jimmy screamed at the top of his lungs loudly, causing the few Pidgey that remained to immediately shoot up into the skies and fly far away. When Kito appeared, shouting at the canines and tossing his Pokeballs in the air in a hurry to get their attention, they immediately turned on their heels, hackles raised. They snarled, baring their fangs, and snapped menacingly after Kito, ready to lung in a hurry. “YOU CAN USE ONE OF MY POKEMON TO HELP YOU MISTER!” Jimmy shouted loudly and pointed to his three friends. |

Kito smiles at the Young man who even scared was trying to help the situation. Thank you young man I would be honored to use your azuril in battle. But he will not be alone in this fight. Jin, Husk let's go to battle. As both the Pidgey and the glameow exited their pokeballs they looked ready for combat. Jin take the one on the right. Husk take the left, and you little azuril I am going to have you take the middle one. Now that we are ready for battle let's make sure that this young man will be safe.

Saliva pooled at the corner of the snarling hounds’ lips. Their bloodshot eyes zeroed in on their prey and sized each of the Pokemon up easily. Kito might have looked like an imposing challenge towering over them, but Houndour were tenacious in their own rights and worked together as a pack to bring down much larger prey. Hunger clawed at them from their bellies, driving them forward as they dug their claws into the grassy dirt and raced after Kito as swiftly as they couldf manage. He would need to act fast if he wanted to avoid being bitten! “Ohhh! Watch out!” Schoolboy Jimmy called from the treetop, clinging onto the branch with his legs wrapped around it and one hand wrapped around the branch. Jimmy pointed towards the snarling dogs circling around Kito and his Pokemon with his other hand. The canines were quick to block Kito’s only exits out of the forest. With their ears pinned against their head, lips curled in a vicious snarl, they snapped at the air as they inched closer and closer to Kito and his Pokemon. Their tails lashed out from side to side, fur bristled so that they looked puffed up and much larger than they actually were. Kito’s Pokemon, along with Jimmy’s trusty Azurill, would not let their trainer down. Azurill acted quickly, jumping up and running over to Kito. It bopped its tail against its head as if to salute the trainer, then turned with as menacing a look as the small mouse could muster towards the black dogs who cornered them. “I can’t let Jimmy down!” The tiny rodent squeaked. It would lay its life on the line for its trainer, even as fear seized its body and made it almost freeze in place. What should it do in this moment? What move would be the best to hit these canines with? Azurill tried to think, hoping that Kito or Jimmy would help it with the right suggestions. Wild Encounter

Alright, here we go! I have to be careful here as I have never been in a 3 pokemon battle before. Okay I think the strategy is going to be to take out one at a time. If that's the case I have a idea. Kito smirked as he began to put his plan together. He would make sure that Jimmy would be fine. Alright everyone listen up. Husk we are going to use fake out on the one right in the center. Azuril we are going to keep the pressure up with bubblebeam. Jin you are going to use this wind to your advantage use gust target the center as well. His orders now given Kito just had to hope that he made the right decision as the battle begins to heat up.

It was all well that Kito wanted to ensure Jimmy's safety, hopefully he didn't forget about his own in the meantime. These hellhounds weren't wild pokemon who weren't afraid of humans anymore, they seemed like they were desperate and on vengeance. If something went wrong here, Jimmy was still relatively safe up in the tree while Kito was without any protection. The houndours didn't wait and Kito barely got his tactic set up and orders out before they were upon them with snarls and sharp teeth ready to rip things apart. "I'll watch out and warn you if they want to attack you from behind!" Jimmy promised, not thinking that he could have asked his pokemon to do have Kito's back. Husk weaved between the first houndour and leaped straight at Havoc, which was not what the houndour had expected so it made a skidding halt and tried to dodge the determined cat. It didn't avoid him completely and got scratched on its shoulder, then a strong gust of wind almost pushed it flat to the ground, followed by a stream of bubbles which made it stumbled backwards. It was left panting heavily, rather dazed and soaked to the skin. The other two houndours didn't need to be guided and continued to their original targets. Azurill flinched back when Helena loomed over it, growling threateningly and then billowed out a lot of smog. The last houndour chased around after Jin, spitting embers at him but kept missing the fast bird, with a growl it too let lose breath of smog which he failed to dodge. "Oh no! Hold your breath!" Jimmy shouted muffled while he tried to cover both his nose and mouth with his shirt. The smog spread and began to threaten the humans as well, and with how Azurill was coughing it was clear it had been poisoned. Jin didn't need any orders to solve the problem, he flapped up another wide gust and blew all the smog away, he couldn't undone what had happened to their temporary partner, but at least he stopped the harm from spreading. Yikes, what a ugly smog. Oh no! little azurill its gotten to him. This is not good i need to heal the damage first then the poison. Npw how to go about this? Husk cover me while I help out our new friend here. Rushing forward Kito reaches into his bag and grabs a oran berry. Here you go little one hang on just a bit longer and i will help with the poison. rushing back behind his pokemon Kito drops his bag and turns back towards the fight. now that we are back to the battle azzuril i need you to use bubblebeam on Abyss. Jin you are going to keep riding this great breeze use gust on Havoc. You hanging in there Jimmy? this will be over soon so don't worry.

With Husk stepping aside to let Kito heal the azurill, that left Jin to take action. Bolstered by the power of the metronome, the pidgey sent a powerful gust towards the middle of the pack, the whirlwind slamming into havoc, snuffing the fire that was building in the houndour's maw. Abyss, seeing their fallen compatriot, let out a blood-chilling howl that bolstered Abyss' spirits, igniting an even stronger desire to fight. To win. Helena growled, head low, and leered at her foes, striking them nervous at what she was plotting. They both stepped in front of their packmate, snarling, jaws snapping, eyes gleaming. Jimmy shivered, "They look so scary. And they're working together really well..." He looked nervously at the sick azurill who was poisoned by that initial fog of noxious fumes. "Oh, poor thing looks so sick too...I... I'm counting on you, trainer." He then made sure nothing was approaching them from behind for some kind of stealthy sneak attack. Wild Encounter

Ha, that's the way jin. Now time to heal that poison little one. Husk cover me. Making sure Husk had a eye on the other 2 pokemon Kito made his move rushing in with a full heal. Here you go little one this will help with that nasty poison. Now that that's taken care of use bubblebeam on the one on the left. Jin target the other one with another gust the wind is in our favor,and with every tick the clock will strike closer to completion. Jimmy you still doing okay up there I'm trying to finish this as soon as possible. Like I said before I'll make sure you are not hurt.

The snarling canines weren’t ready to give up anytime soon. They snapped with long, pointed fangs dripping with saliva. Sharp charcoal eyes stared from underneath their hardened head plate shaped reminiscent of a skull. They lowered their heads between their hackles and folded their ears against their scalps. This trainer’s Pokemon were tough prey to take down, but their stomachs rumbled, begging the wild canids to snatch their newfound meals and make hasty work of them while the timing was right. Jin was quick. He used the gusting wings underneath his wings. It made him faster than his opponents and sent him spiraling at Abyss in the blink of an eye. The rapid canine howled in pain as Jin sent large gusts of wind tearing into his hide. He jumped back and licked at the fresh wounds as fire licked around his sharp teeth and anger alighted his eyes. They would pay! He spat large flames from the tip of his tongue, hitting Jin in the chest. Jin was quick to spin rapidly in the air and knock away the flame, protecting himself from the worst of the burns. Schoolboy Jimmy clung onto the branch as tight as he could and shivered in fear. Those dogs looked nasty! He was worried what would happen if Kito wasn’t successful and lost to them. Would these rapid beasts try to eat his hero…and himself?! “I…I’m trying to hand in there…!” Jimmy gulped as Helena filled the air around herself and Azurill with a dense smog. “Just…worried about those…scary looking canines!” He admitted with a loud gulp and watched his Azurill hit Helena directly in the maw with a powerful blast of water. Don't worry Jimmy I've got this. Now time once again for a little bit of healing. Husk you got my back again buddy? Awesome thanks jin here is a potion to get you back to snuff. Now that thats taken care of azuril bubblebeam once more target Helena. Jin the wind blows in your favor gust once more target abyss blow them away. Kito watched as the pokemon began to move into position. As long as Jimmy was in danger he would make sure to fight to make sure that he would still be in the fight. This was shaping up to one strange day.

Jimmy had to remain hopeful that Kito could take care of those scary dogs. The older man clearly knew what he was doing, often healing his Pokemon or Jimmy’s Azurill when they needed it and effortlessly telling them which attacks they should use. He held on tight to the branch and nodded his head from up high in the tree. “I believe in you, mister! Please don’t let those mean dogs get away with this!” He cried loudly with a trembling voice, trying to convince himself as much as he tried to convince Kito of his words. Jin moved in swiftly, sending sharp winds that tore at Abyss’ flesh. The snarling canid howled in pain and wobbled on his paws. Staggering about, he tried to find the strength to stay in the fight, but realized he was losing all momentum to do so. These meal tickets were strong…too strong! But he was so very hungry and really wanted to take a taste of their flesh to satiate that hunger. Ahh! He collapsed in a fainted heap within an instant. Helena growled loudly; head lowered defensively between her haunches. They would PAY! She unleashed a breath full of flames that ate away at Husk’s delicate flesh just as Azurill slapped her with powerful streams of water. Helena collapsed, whimpering in pain. The three canines would get up together and run off in different directions. Jimmy scrambled down the tree and rushed over to Kito, reaching a hand out to shake his hero’s hand. “Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you! Will you please take Azurill with you? Azurill needs a really strong trainer to help them grow, and you’re so super strong. I know you’ll take good care of my Aurill. And this…” Jimmy fished out a little bell, passing it over to Kito with a wide grin. “The Soothe Bell will help Pokemon grow friendlier to you in time.” He added. After that, Kito could choose to end the quest here if he wanted. However, three pathways led off in different directions where the canines ran off too. One led to the left on a winding trail that curved around like a snake, slithering through the grass. Another led to the right up a steep slope and down the other side, with sharp brambles growing wildly over the trail. A third path ran through the center and led back out of the clearing altogether. If Kito chose to continue his journey, which path would he choose? Wild Encounter

Gotcha, kito watched as the last hound got knocked down. He then turned his attention to Jimmy. I would be honored to take this little girl with me.now are you sure that you can get out of this clearing okay. Kito asked not taking his eyes of the retreating pokemon. Okay, time to find out where you came from.
Three paths which one to take? I guess I'll take this super winding path. Got to keep my wits about me. Oh well at least I have a new friend to continue this journey with. Come on Aqua you and me are going to get to the bottom of what these houndour attacked. Kito set off down the super winding trail he was determined to find the answers he sought.

LEFT PATH
As Kito followed the winding path, he would quickly realize that this was a well-worn, well-traveled route. The houndour prints quickly were obscured and mingled into a whole mess of other footprints before diverging into different paths. But which trail was correct? He would need to take some time to look over the prints and figure out which ones belonged to the houndour if he wanted to find where the hound ran off too. But which ones, which ones? Some were small and some were large, and there was a breeze starting to pick up. He had better choose quickly before a strong gust of wind totally demolished the footprints by filling them in with dirt! Which set of prints will Kito choose to follow?

Ah great this wind is going to make it even more difficult to try and find these hounds. Let's see here, ah there are some tracks. Now which ones are the ones I need to follow? This decision would be made for kito as the wind began to fill the tracks in. Crap well I have to choose better go this way. He begins to run deeper into the bushes following one set of prints. He would make sure to get to the bottom of this. It was strange that 3 would attack together. There had to be something leading them.
