Hungry hungry houndour(happiness quest)

Kito would wander through the bushes, following a certain set of tracks. They would lead into a more forested part of Cherrygrove, out in the route where the wilds were a little more lush and the shadows darker. Still an odd place to find houndour though... A little more exploring, keeping his steps quiet to avoid detection, and he would hear it. The sound of whimpering. Whining. Up ahead, through the bushes and under a tree, was a cage trap with one of the houndour from earlier...with three little pups huddled around it—her—for comfort. It was very evidently a poacher's trap, as no proper trainer would catch pokemon this way.

When Kito drew close enough to inspect the cage—whether to help or not—someone would suddenly grab him from behind and throw him to the ground. There, now looming above him with meaty hands in fists, his face contorted into a sneer, was a hulking beast of a man. He had brassy yellow hair, a mean, scarred visage and wild eyes. He was dressed like a normal blue-collar worker, like he mowed lawns or picked up trash for the local municipality, but the whip in his hand told a different story.

He closed in on Kito again, looking ready to break Kito's face open with a fist as he glared daggers down at his victim, "What do we's got 'ere? A little snoop? You's not takin' away my catch, brat. I dun hit the jackpot catchin' these here houndour, and I will make sure ya dun go cryin' to them pigs." Walking up to stand by him was a sinister sneasel that snickered and flexed its claws with menace.

You have got to be kidding me. Kito groans as he rolls away from the stranger. I swear you are the second person who has thought it was a good idea to attack me. first was the team rocket lackey, now I have you with your whip and is that a sucker? oooh so scary. I swear at this rate I'm going to join the police so that ill be able to stop more people like you. first however you are going to release those Pokémon. you don't have a choice in the matter. jin front and center for combat. Now Jin we are going to try and teach this sneasle a lesson. hit it with gust while its knocked of balance from the first one I want you to hit it a second time with another gust. Kito watches as the battle unfolds keeping his eyes on the cage. Poor creatures it must have been that far out looking for food for her babies. well don't worry little one I will make sure that I break you and your family free.

The poacher laughed in Kito's face and kicked him, "Are you stupid or somethin' brat? Sneasel can eat that bird fer dinner. Take care o' it." At least the man was now looking amused rather than murder-y. The sneasel flashed its claws at the pidgey, who prepared to sling gusts at it...but the sneasel was much, much faster. Before Jin could get the first attack readied, the lithe dark-pokemon formed an icy shard and threw it. HARD and fast. So hard, in fact, that Jin was sent tumbling back. The sneasel leapt forward, pouncing on top of the pidgey like it was on the hunt, snickering at its prey with sinister delight. Jin managed to blow a strong gust into its face before it could attack again, flinging the sneasel off.

For a moment, it looked like the little bird had half a chance. 

But after the sneasel shook itself off, it moved, quick as a dart in the night, right back to the pidgey, slashing those powerful claws across Jinn's vulnerable belly. The pidgey was essentially slapped out of the air before it could respond again.

"Issat all ya got?!"

A rude sneer covered Travis’ lips as he waited to see what Kito would drag out next. His arms were folded over his chest firmly, sharp eyes narrowed suspiciously on the young adult. Was Kito some bleeding heart who assumed everything always worked out for the better and that officers were the pinnacle of all that was good and just in their world, or something? “You might as well give up.” Travis spat a thick wad of spit on the ground. He stepped on his own spit and twisted his foot to rub it into the ground, as if to make a point.

When Kito released a diminutive baby Pokemon, Travis laughed. THAT was going to defeat his Sneasel! What a rich joke! He tilted his head back while unfolding his arms. As he placed his hands on his cheeks, Travis would cackle loudly. “Ohh! Hahaha?! That’s too funny! This is really rich!” He chortled. Now he was being trolled by a mere child. An eighteen-year-old who was too old to truly be a child, but too young to understand what it truly meant to be an adult. “You better go home and find yourself a freal job, kid. You’re not cut out for this.” Travis snapped with a shake of his head.

“Sneasel, use Leer. We’re going to make sure when we wipe the floor, we really wipe the floor.” Travis smirked. Sneasel nodded with a quick yowl. His rich golden irises narrowed down as his lips curled with a deviously malicious smirk. It caused Aqua to shudder slightly, lowering her defenses so that she would become an easier target for Sneasel’s physical attacks. Aqua formed large bubbles on the tip of her tongue in relatiation and fired them in a powerful beam. Sneasel blinked as the beam hit and huffed curiously. That was supposed to hurt…like a lot…or something?

Sneasel looked back at the poacher with a wicked smile. It heard the move taunt and it forms a light blue ice glove. The glove floats over to the vivillon and smacks it a couple of times. After that the sneasal sticks it's tongue out and at the same time pulls down one of the bottom eye lids. After that, the sneasal reaches out with the other hand with the back of the hand facing the vivillon. The sneasal than proceeds to curl the claws back towards itself.

Great you have got to be kidding me. Kito looked on with agitation. Fine then since that won't work asta use gust. Kito looked around. This is not going well. I hope I can get through this. Kito thought glaring at the poacher. Here we go since you want power here is power. Asta flew up high and began to flap its wings . As this was going on the egg that he was carrying in his bag fell out and began to glow. Oh this is just great just what I need right now. Ah well can't be helped. Strike quickly asta we need to finish this quickly.

"I'm kidding you? Kid, if you had half a brain in your head, y'dknow the prey you're hunting. Case-In-Point: flying are real easy targets for ice-types! Sneasel, another Ice Shard!" Called out Travis as he cracked down his whip in the air, Sneasal understanding its order.

["Gotchya Boss."] It responded as it lifted its hands together, ice forming between its claws in a spiral fashion till it formed a long spike icicle. Then with a 'Snul' the Ice Shard launched at the Vivillion faster than it could gather up its gust, smacking the Vivilion with significant force. When the gust came, the Sneasal rose up an arm and weathered the storm with one closed eye, using the other to peak to ensure that the Vivilion didn't escape.

"Kid, you run away now, I won't leave your bug a smear. Unlike you, I got a job and gotta work for my money, and yer just makin' life unnecessarily difficult for me. So you'll have to forgive me if I leave a 'workplace incident' of you and your friends if y'don't comply."

You'll find that I am well aware for the ice types advantages but that doesn't mean a whole lot cause even type advantage is not always the deciding factor. Asta hang in there and let's use another gust. Kito watched the fight go on and grimaced . This was not going well. "Look at ya, y'keep gusting like it matters. Only thing that matters here is your bug's about to go down." Twisting his whipping hand, he gave Kito a big thumbs down and a big evil grin on his face. "Ice Shard again."

Once more Sneasal produced up the ice bullet, thrusting it forwards like throwing a Javelin towards the Vivillion. Yet again the Ice Javelin smashed against the Vivillion, although nowhere as close to a crucial point as before as the gust slightly misdirected it, leading to the Sneasal slightly getting blown back by the attack this time. It seemed it was indeed weakening.

"Yer bug looking rather squishy. Won't be long until it faints. Hint of advice kiddo: y'seem like an idiot. Who throws two Arceus-damned Flying types against an ice type? Y'talk the talk but you walk like a Cripple, a Grandfather clock faster than you and it keeps going in circles."

As asta charges at the snesale determined to get the one lucky shot that would make it the victor and not the victim . Come on asta I know you have got this. Show him that just because you are a big it does not mean that you are weak.

Being a Hunter, there was a clear Prey on the Table while the Trainer was busy spending his time healing his Azurill from earlier. That Azurill hurt earlier, he'd need to take a more careful approach to that one. For now he had to crush this Vivillion!

"Alright Sneasel, quickly end this with one last Ice Shard!" called out Travis as he cracked his whip. Sneasel grinned meanly as it rose its hands, launching once more a bullet of ice towards the Vivillion. However, at this point the Vivillion was too weak to endure the blast, which would more than enough for the Sneasel to clench the victory.

"Tried to tellya kid, only so much trying to brute force it with levels can do without the proper tools. And yer a few wrenches short of a proper toolbox."

The kid didn't seem to have many other Pokemon on him, so that Azurill was likely his last. Victory was still in sight for the Hunter!

With a loud chirp aqua unleashes a rapid stream of bubbles towards the snesale . Kito watches the fight going on. he hopes that a police officer shows up . Otherwise this was going to be a long fight

Replied Travis, who snapped his whip, nodding towards Sneasel who gave a quick nod back as it lurched forwards, swinging its claws it'd slash through the Azurill's soft body. As the Sneasel turned back it would be hit by a barrage of bubbles from the small Pokemon, knocking it unconscious. The Hunter sighed, resting his right hand on his forehead before swiping his hand across it with agitation.

"Gotta admit kid took you effort to finally defeat something. But I'm certain your good luck ends with me regardless!"

Pulling his hand up, he recalled the Sneasel, before pulling up another ball and tossing it forwards, what took form was a small bat-like creature with no eyes. A Zubat!
