Mission #1 - New "Bark" Town

The Bulbasaur looked at him, her big eyes studied him and tried to understand what was going on.
The trainer in question had just stubled out of a bush, somehow getting as far from the destination as possible. "Maybe I should have brought a map" he said to seemingly no one before pulling grass from between his toes "and found a better pair of shoes". With a thud be placed himself on the ground as the Bublasaur sat next to him, her eyes still locked on him...
"And you" he said as he petted the frog, seed... thing? (professors couldn´t seem to agree) and sighed, "what am I even doing?"

The wilderness just a short walk from New Bark and heading towards Cherrygrove was brimming with life. Several wild Pokemon zipped through the tall grasses in a hurry, many of them coated with strange juices from the ripe berries they managed to find in abundance and snack cheerfully on. Some smaller kids chased after scared pigeons who sent large piles of sand up in a whirlwind and hurriedly fluttered off before the kids could successfully capture them.

A wild rodent stood in the middle of the route outside of the tall grasses and glared in the direction of New Bark Town. It was…definitely an odd sight. Saliva pooled around the edges of its mouth and its whiskers twitched anxiously. That was the direction that all these strange mini-humans came from, packed to the brim with those house pets that didn’t belong on the route. It angered the wild rodent, who kicked at the ground and growled loudly, causing most to avoid it entirely.

As soon as its locked its eyes on Jubei, though, there was no escape. Not another human to ruin its beautiful home! The wild rodent charged as fast as its short legs could carry it. It would chase Jubei and whatever house pet he chose to send it way back towards the town they were leaving from! No more humans were welcomed on Route 29 from this day forward! “YOU GET LOST, YOU STEALER OF FRIENDS!” Ok…so clearly something more happened beyond just ‘wild Pokémon doesn’t like humans’. And Rattata wasn’t in the mood to elaborate what it meant, only to scratch, claw, bite, and whatever else it might take to chase Jubei off.

By the sound of the Rattata and by the upcoming attack, Jubei godt up, and jumped to the side, barely missing its sharp teeth. The took a look at it, it seemed fine, no visible scars and by the speed it seemed fine... why was it so aggresive though.

Razz looked at the rat and the human, she had taken a step back and waited for any kind of command...

Jubei tried to figure out what the trigger could be, but he did´t seem to find any, so he decided.. "Razz try holding it back with Vine Whip" he looked at her "do NOT attack it!", afterwards he began to make a lot of noise to catch the rats attention

Nodding and trying her best to grab the rodent, Razz extended her vines and like a snake tried to catch the rat from behind while it was focused on the human in front of it

The poor little fellow had nothing left, at least not if you asked it, over the years its group of friends had gotten smaller and smaller as trainers traveled through and decided they wanted its friends for themselves. Several months ago they had been docens, but as late as last week they had only been 4 left, but two had been caught by a couple of trainers so at least they stayed together for now, and it and its remaining cousin-twice-removed had barely escaped their nest when a red haired trainer with his fire breathing cyndaquil had come by and destroyed what little they had left.
It's cousin had been burned but they were handling it, then, not long ago someone spotted them, felt sorry for its friend and caught it, saying they just wanted to help it out, but not thinking one bit on the rattata left behind.

"You've destroyed everything I got!" It screamed out its furious pain as it charged at Jubei. It leaped, teeth bared and ready to sink deep into his leg, when something wrapped around its body and caught it midair. The force from its speed, gave a painful tuck on Razz's vines and she would stumble forward from it, squeezing her caught rodent tightly to not drop it, despite how much it wriggled in an attempt to break free.

"Good", Jubei exclaimed as Razz caught the rodent who thought back... He looked at it, tried to relax his body language as he locked eyes with the Rattata "now Im not gonna hurt you more than nessisary" he assured, not sure how much of his words the rat understod "I might have wandered into your territorium, im sorry for that, but Im really just trying to get out of here", he found his bag and produced a blue spray bottle "im sure that getting caught like that would hurt" he showed the bottle, a potion "It can make you feel better" he smiled and looked over to Razz... "let it go"

Razz loosened her grib on the rat and retracted her vines again looking at the human, afarid if he would be in for a world of pain soon

Small claws kicked and clawed at the vines that held it at bay. It wanted to escape from Razz’s grips so that it could maul both the Bulbasaur and her trainer with its long buckteeth. It only wanted to scratch and bite them to chase them away, however, not to truly hurt anyone. “I don’t want to go with you! I don’t want to be with a stealer of friends!” The furry rodent snapped, chittering at the top of its lungs in a loud yelp.

Eventually, Razz retracted her vines and placed the small rodent back on the ground. That was…better. Much better. Jubei knelt down and pulled out a strange bottle from his bag to show the wild rodent. What was that? WHAT WAS THAT?! It lashed out with its teeth and bit the bottle. It would destroy this strange human artifact before whatever it was whisk it away like they did all its old friends. “You won’t win this! I don’t want to be in this strange friend stealer device of yours! Why isn’t it round? Did you ding the friend stealer device up that bad?!” Rattata squeaked, confused as it remembered most of the others being round.

Compassion might work. But it would be a long, long road that way. Rattata was wild, there was just a huge language barrier between it understanding the intricacies of human items and such. Rattata backed slowly away at first with a cold shiver that crawled down its spine. It had no idea what a potion was, though if you related it to berries like its favored Oran Berries, it might have been able to understand better. “What is your trainer trying to do? Tell him that I don’t want to be with a friend stealer. I don’t want to live in a friend stealer device!” It ran over and whipped its tail in Razz’s face.

"He means no harm" Razz said, speaking up for the first time "or.. I think so..." she looked back at Jubei who tried to stay calm "listen he´s not good at whatever he´s supposed to do... he keeps telling himself that"

Razz´ voice caught Jubeis attention and he smiled at tehm "I dont have anything I can give you... but I just want to pass through without any of us getting hurt" he looked at the potion bottle, destroyed as the liquid seeped into the ground and he hoped that would not do more harm than good... but right now he could not do much, but to let his pokémon do the talking...

"I dont want to fight you, and I don´t thing you want either... something happned here, and I want all of us to understand" she tried, but readying herself for another attack

Hi Jubei. First off, while it's not deductable or punishable, I just want to note personally your post was really rough for me to read. For others it may not be so much an issue, others it may be more, but it may be worth putting at least a little more effort into your punctuation and spelling at least.

Second off, and far more important: There are conditions upon which you can run, which you can find in zapdoszulu.proboards.com/thread/947/advanced-radar-capturing-etc . You have not fulfilled any of these conditions. As such you'll need to resolve this battle in some other fashion than 'running away'/disarming the situation in its current state. Wild Pokemon are rarely to never non-hostile to a point that on encounter (which this is), they won't eventually battle you.

As you did not post an action this turn, I am leaving your character and you an IC warning - the Rattata is attacking your trainer because you are not attempting to defuse this in a 'correct' manner - and a 'peaceful' resolution is possible. There is a chance for more repercussions than a simple IC and OOC warning going forth.

The Rattata in question was honestly done with trying to speak to this odd Pokemon that dare to team up with a friend stealer, perhaps more so than before. The Pokemon wasn't answering its questions and the human wasn't speaking to it in English Pokemon! Well even if it could understand the human, it frankly wouldn't believe them after they pulled out that 'Friend Stealer Device'.

In response to this lack of respect to the Big Squeak they were dealing with, the Rattata suddenly lunged forwards and would ram against Jubei's chest with a tackle attack, which would hit surprisingly hard for something so small, the power of a Pokemon's attacks far beyond what they would appear at base value.

['Lies! Lies is all you captives and your disgusting humans know! I will beat you all up!']

The Rattata bounced off Jubei's chest and slid as it landed back on the ground, making its statement clear.
