The sandstorm wasn’t making things any better for them. Caribes raised an eyebrow as Lucas tried to insinuate that they waited to seize their opportunity to attack poor Della amid the storm, which wasn’t entirely true. Though it wasn’t entirely false either, one would have to be dense in one’s head to want to travel amid such a storm just for some trivial gains for whatever mundane purpose normal citizens might have. A written will outlining everything to them or something? Yeah, no. That definitely wasn’t Caribes’ style. “I do believe we need to see this guy to the hospital, nephew.” Caribes nodded, for a short moment ignoring Lucas’ most recent outburst.
Silas pulled out a small bottle of water and offered it to Caribes. The elderly gent nodded with a smile, reaching out to accept Silas’ offer just before he dropped it. Both missed the opportunity – Silas in handing it over as it slipped out of his fingers, and Caribes’ whose frail fingers couldn’t quite snag it out of the air when it fell. “Thank you, nep- blast it all! I swear, these old bones don’t move like they used to.” Caribes huffed, tucking their hands by near their sides as they eyes Lucas carefully. Their loss was Brutus’ gain, though, as the wily monkey eagerly gulped up the drink. It looked a lot stronger now, as the bottle of water restored some of Brutus’ energy. “Oh well…guess I can’t be helped.” Caribes chuckled.
Lucas continued his charade, apparently caring about Caribes’ health again. Did he doubt them or did he care? Caribes couldn’t keep up. This guy would make a perfect hidden rocket hopefully if Lucas hadn’t already used up all his ‘chance’ with Caribes earlier on. Can’t be invited into a global organization by angering those with the keys, after all. That’s ripe with just being taken off the census, instead. “For your information,” Caribes insisted, coughing a bit as the winds snapped back at their words. “I always visit Della around this time. Della not Delia. She’s very specific about that!” They growled, some of their anger from the build up slipping out in this feigned ‘upset’ at such insinuations. “As for my doctor….uh, nephew? Wasn’t it last month I saw him?” Caribes turned to Silas with a secretive wink.
Maybe it was time to see a doctor, though? “Are you offering to take me to the hospital? I can go with you, I suppose.” Clearly, the plan was evolving and changing. A glance to Silas to see if the other man was keeping up. A shrug that implied, ‘follow this man to the hospital?’, with a knowing smile that added, ‘and lead him down a dark alleyway for a proper beating!’ Just an easy way to lure the man away from his work and make sure everyone makes it where they needed to. How to make this really, stick, though? Hmm. Caribes leaned on their legs a bit and made a gesture as though they desperately needed to sit down and regain their own energy, as their Pokemon battled.
“…Maybe….maybe it’s not a bad idea.” They huffed, a long and drawn out tiresome sound as though they’d went on a long hike. Just another old timer being old, nothing out of the ordinary. Caribes nodded towards Orla, who managed to withstand the powerful blow from Lucas’ flying rat and the howling sandy winds that scraped against her scrappy body. “Orla, you need to keep stomping until this guy regains some of his senses. Don’t give up, yet!” What an amazing calf she was! One of the most powerful powerhouses they’d added to their team in a while, who could withstand nearly anything thrown at her! Would she even best Whitney’s famously known Miltank, if the two ever met? It was a curious question.
Orla giggled, placing her hooves on the sides of her face as Hammer eventually fainted from her powerful kicks. “Who, the Mankey?! Oh no, child! That kid’s a little too thin for me. I like mine with a lotta meat! Like a big, strong, handsome Tauros maybe. Or perhaps a suave and debonair Sawsbuck.” She raced forward in an instance, despite the tiresome charade of the ongoing battle taking a lot out of her, hopped up into the air, and attempted to slam her weight against the flighty bat.

"Uhg, Brutus, you greedy mankey. That wasn't for you," Silas huffed, feigning upset as Brutus finished gulping down the soda. The city worker of course made some cringey commentary and told a story about thieving pokemon and generic pop. Just shut up already! Of course, that was when Brutus got slammed by the sudowoodo...AGAIN. Which meant the mankey was quickly back to limping pitifully. The little ape could hold its own normally, but he was quite frail. That meant this weather was doing him no favors, even if he could damage these pests just fine. "If you're feeling like you need a pick me up, a potion is far more appropriate." He fished a potion out of his pocket and made a show of giving the Mankey 'loving care' as he spritzed it on his injuries.
At least Orla stomped that tree out of existence. He was pretty sure the gligar couldn't do THAT much to Brutus. At least not after he was healed up a little.
He rose back up and 'checked on his Uncle'. Silas found himself nodding along to Caribes' plan, agreeing with him whole heartedly. "Yes, you should come with us to the hospital since you insist he sees his doctor and we insist you see one as well. And I believe it was last month, Uncle, but after all this sand...I'm sure he'll have something to say."
And on the way to the 'hospital' they could make this man vanish.
"And yes, yes. Don't get him started on Della versus Delia. He will stand on that hill for ages if you argue with him." Silas said, pretending to try to lighten the tense mood. He also feigned 'helping' support Caribes as he showed strain and tiredness. Silas leaned in, well aware that the storm would mask his words and his lips, "I have zip ties and a box cutter in my briefcase. We just need him alone. Can you pretend to collapse when this battle is over so he is forced to help me 'carry' you to the hospital? Not faint, he might call an ambulance, just get a little too shaky in the knees from breathing in all this sand."
Once he conveyed his private message to Caribes, he offered him his arm, "You're looking really pale, Uncle...I really do think the hospital might be our best option once Orla is done stomping some sense into his pokemon."

As Lucas listened to more banter from both Cribes and Silas he could not help but to fell as though the pair were trying to set up a trap for him by now. Any doubt as to them just being a bit eccentric was quickly vanishing but he was not in a great position currently to stop either of them. He stood silently for a few moments as he watched the sandstorm continue to swirl around trying to come up with some sort of plan to beat the two trainers before they could send him on a date with the fishes. As he saw Orla start to run towards Wrench fat juggling the whole way as she set up a Stomp he desperately called on Wrench to make a move. " Wrench quick, use Knock Off on that Miltank before it can strike you.}' The Gligar was quick enough to take a quick swipe at the obese cow but could not get out of the way of her oncoming hoof as she Stomped right on Wrench's head. The attack left a nasty bruise but Wrench was tough enough to endure the strike. The weather was the only thing going for Lucas at this point as it pelted both Orla and Brutis nearly knocking Orla out and reducing the effectiveness of the Potion Brutis had taken. Considering he was outnumbered Lucas would take any advantage he could get. "It looks like that Miltank of yours needs a doctor more than any of us, one would think being so fat sand would not both it but I guess chubbiness is a hindrance in this case." Lucas snarked as he tried to keep his cool. He could not afford to make any mistakes if he wanted to turn things around and send this two to a mental ward for evaluation. By now he felt a regular hospital would not be enough to care for their well being. Time seemed to march on like small grains of sand sipping to the bottom of an hourglass. It was slow and agonizing, causing the elderly gent to realize that they’d wasted more time than they originally wanted facing off with Lucas. Was it Caribes and Silas who messed up by simply not turning away and finding an easier route around, where they could have slipped by and still made their way along to the elderly lady’s house. And elderly lady that shared the name of someone from Caribes’ past? “Oh no! My precious baby Miltank!” They groaned.
Caribes’ hands raised up and pressed against the sides of their eyes. Widened eyes turned their terracotta hues carefully upon the bright pink bovine with thick black fur around her head and black spots along her back. Orla struggled, pressing herself up on her legs, and staggered a bit from the pains that seeped inside of her bones. They flared their nostrils, annoyed that Lucas’ gang of Pokemon against Caribes’ one cow managed to nearly take their small baby bovine out so easily. “Come here, sweety!” Caribes fished around and pulled out a strong looking spray, that they used to hose down all of Orla’s wounds.
“She’s going to be ok.” Caribes slashed an outright devious and arrogant smile in Lucas’ direction. It was every bit of a way to quietly say, ‘yes, your plan failed, you fool’ as Caribes’ could manage. Somehow, this paranoid man kept flopping about between whether he wanted to believe them or whether he couldn’t trust the two Team Rocket agents as far as he could throw them. What an annoying bit. “So now, will you listen to reason, sir? We’ll both go to the hospital first. Together?” A feigned smile. Caribes had to try and talk some reason into this fool. Wouldn’t Lucas just listen to reason?
When Silas leaned in close and whispered his piece, Caribes nodded their head quietly in understanding. Silas came prepared, no different than Caribes by far. They’d managed to make more than their fair share of people ‘disappear’ in the past and this would be no different. “You can count on me.” Caribes whispered back with a wink that blended in with a gust of wild sandy winds, so that only Silas would see. They turned back to the battle, and all allowed their old knees to buckle a little from the weighted effort of the ongoing battle. “Nephew…Can we call Delores along the way and let her know we will be later than expected, at least?” A lilt in their words seemed to imply that the call was obviously more of a ruse. Surely, this could help ease whatever concerns Lucas thought he felt as a general vibe from the two?

This daft city worker kept changing his mind, his stance and his whole mood on a dime. The only thing either Silas or Caribes had done was accept the battle that the worker INSTIGATED and then not retreated despite the storm. Silas wasn't quite sure what was wrong with the man—how he could go from calm and easy one moment to on edge and moody the next. How could he make corny puns about soda pop one second, laughing like he hadn't a care in the world, before flipping over to being abrasive, like he thought they were some kind of threat. To be fair, they were, but he shouldn't know that. From his perspective, they were just two weirdos in the storm, which wasn't a crime. Heck, the city worker was the weird one, jumping down from the pole to play hero and stop them from journeying!
It was positively bonkers that he would get so worked about two people walking down the street and then get in a tiff when they kept trying to pass by. They even conceded to letting the man walk with them more than once—be it to Della's place or the hospital. What more did he want?!
Whatever. It didn't matter in the long run. He'd in up in a dumpster for being an annoyance after this battle was over. Silas breathed out and continued to 'support' Caribes' weight. "Of course, we can call Della to tell her you won't make it... I know you have a routine and I tried to warn you not to come out in this weather, but you're such a stubborn old geezer." He said it with that tired affection of an exasperated relative. "And now you need your meds and maybe have aggravated your lungs... of course, none of this wouldn't have happened if a certain someone hadn't got in our way... We'd be at her house by now if he didn't block our path." He shook his head.
"Okay, breathe, gotta remember all that tauros-dung nonsense they teach in those 'wellness seminars' they make us attend at work. Because nothing says a company cares like some soy latte drinking yoga instructor telling you how to breathe while standing on one leg." Silas patted Caribes a bit. "How you doing now, Uncle? The hospital isn't far so we should be able to walk...and I think this storm is starting to clear up."
He watched as Brutus took advantage of having his health healed and scampered up to the gligar, attempting to grab and throw his foe with enthusiasm.

Lucas had been vacillating in being persuaded by the duo Rocket's acts. He had his own suspicions, but they seemed mostly genuine and convincing. He just couldn't put a finger on where they might be imposters. Delores wasn't the only elderly in the area, but she was rather a famous one. While he wasn't like a neighbor living in the neighborhood, he knew she's have a known reputation amongst the residence, but he didn't know enough about her and her extended family. "Well, I could give you the direction and you have a head start. I still need to finish fixing some poles or the residence will be Krabby at us. It is not too far from here, so I could catch you up right then." Lucas replied, with a hesitation, as he remembered that he still had to finish his work. "I am sure Miss Delores will be understanding that you're late because of the sandstorm." He added, and then remembered to give out an order as well after watching the Miltank drank the potion. "Wrench, use Knock Off on the Miltank again!" The Gligar flew downward and struck the normal type Pokemon once again. However, this time Orla felt the sharper end of the claws, but it didn't made her scream in pain either. It was a sharp sting that scratched the surface. The Mankey used this opportunity to lunge toward the purple scorpion, and grabbed it. Then, executed a Seismis Toss after jumping off of Orla's thick hide on her back. Brutus spun in the air like once or twice before slamming the Gligar on the ground. This idiot knew who they were referring to without Caribes or Silas namedropping Delores by more than Della? The Rocket recruit fought against their own urge to frown, feigning a pained expression that bordered on a weak smile as they struggled through the raging storm and their own ‘sickness’ that plagued them. “Yes, my dear friend Delores! I’ve known her since grade school,” a truth that Caribes couldn’t have known how accurate a statement it was, “and never missed checking up on her before. Storms be damned!” They coughed, pressing a hand over their mouth as they gestured to the raging winds around them.
Their glance that they tossed in Silas’ direction was simple. Someone in this party knew entirely too much too soon and remained on edge no matter what the two Rocket fellas tried to do. Whether they were as arrogant and hostile as Lucas sometimes was, or they feigned a more indifferent tone with insistence for their mission to meet with Della, it couldn’t be as easily forgotten that Lucas managed to figure a small piece of the puzzle. Della…it wasn’t as popular of a name on its own anymore but it was a suitable full name of a strong and noble background that happened to sum up to mean ‘noble’.
“I just worry that I won’t have that many more weeks to spend with her.” There goes alluding to Della’s own health. Wasn’t it also a viable nickname for Adella, as well? It was also viable for Cardelina and Delaney, come to think of it, so why was it such a quick connection to the only obvious full name that the two grunts meant? Feigning like the matchup was incorrect would do them no service and only further the divide between the two Rocket members and Lucas, though. They needed Lucas to follow along with their synopsis. Required it, really. “I, uh…worry you’re suffering too much with your erratic mood swings though. You really ought to get checked out.” Erratic mood swings were connected to diabetes, Alzheimer's, epilepsy, and even cancer….
“Orla, he’s not budging an inch on this fight. You’ve got to keep stomping! Throw a whole tantrum, if you can!” Sadly, she couldn’t throw an actual stomping tantrum itself, but she could stomp with the best of them. She rushed after Wrench, leaping into the air, and attempted to slam her hooved feet against the winged rat’s side with all her might. “I may be stubborn, Nephew, but it’s because I care.” Caribes coughed, tapping their chest with a balled fist to clear their lungs. “Though…you cared enough to come with me even when I insisted you didn’t need to. Breathe…yeah…right…” Caribes wheezed, and slowly tried to focus on their breathing, as if to follow the mantra Silas gave them. Keep up the lie, strengthen the illusion, then slowly lead the gent away with them. That was a solid plan.

He knew too much.
By sheer accident this city worker sealed his fate beyond mere antagonism. It was still possible Lucas could have lived to see another day if he was wily enough to slip their grasp, as all he had done was annoy them. But that name drop. He knew too many people—made too many assumptions. If he could connect those dots, nothing would stop him from connecting more and blabbing to the police. What if he called them and warned them that Delores had guests and that he could identify them if something went wrong? What if he learned about the break in and told the cops because he was a witness.
This man had every chance to survive this encounter. But he fumbled it. He hammered in that final nail with that casual name drop.
As Orla kept stomping, Brutus made to grab the gligar and throw it like a frisbee as he had done to the stunfisk.
It was time.
"Isn't that nice, he knows Delores," Silas said. "Though not as well as you, Uncle, clearly." He moved to 'support' Caribes as the coughing worsened. "Hey...Hey! Uncle? That cough sounds really bad. You're shaking..." He feigned Caribes putting more weight on him than he actually was, like he was struggling a bit to keep the man upright. "It's okay. You'll be okay. The hospital isn't very far. We can walk there, we just need...oh Arceus, why are you so heavy?!"
He looped Caribe's arm around his shoulders and 'guided' him towards Lucas, tried to put on his best worried smile, "Look. I know you're busy and despite your own weird behavior you don't want to go to emergency when you're on the clock, but we both know this is a small town. We could walk to the hospital before they found the resources to bother sending someone out to help. Just...could you help me get him out of the storm at least? I'm really struggling to hold him up and I think if he gets to a bench or something out of this wind he should be able to recover enough to walk on his own."
And right over there was a bench.
Silas feigned a bit of a stumble.
C'mon. Be a good samaritan. Just help him support Caribes and walk with them to that bench. That was all he had to do. When they got over there, they'd be close enough to the buildings that they'd be able to take advantage of the last gusts of this storm to make him vanish into an alleyway. But they needed him to come with them.
"It's okay, Uncle, I gotcha. This nice man is going to help me get you somewhere to sit down, okay?"

He had a very bad feeling about this. These two men were giving exchanges to each other far more than he expected. He could feel his body tensed amidst the raging sandstorm. He wasn't sure if these were secret Team Rocket members, independent theft, one of Della's rivals from her past, or Della's current rivals that he hadn't heard about. The older suited man was definitely Della's current enemies. He had to stop himself from pondering other ideas before giving them a reply. "I am sure she'll be fine. She's a tough one, since you know her for so long."When they accused him of having mood swings though, he turned upset once again. "Mood Swings? That was just Pokemon battle excitement. Are you not the type to get excited about a Pokemon battle? And you're not a doctor, I don't need to hear you trying to diagnose me!" He questioned, wondering which part of their conversations made them thought he had mood swings. "Wrench, use Iron Defense!" He hollered out his move, as he knew that their Pokemon were ganging up on him now. The Gligar went first and toughed up its body to handle more hits. Then, the Miltank came over for a measly Stomp on the Gligar's toughened hides. However, the Mankey with the Seismic Toss was what took out the Gligar. "That was good. Your two Pokemon beat my three Pokemon." Lucas returned his Pokemon as he noted their battling skills. As the battle ended, the sky seemed to clear up as the sandstorm faded. However, what greeted them was a blistering blast of heat from the sun. Lucas sighed and decided to be helpful one last time. "The nearest clinic is like, three blocks west of here that way, and then you turn right for two more blocks. You should go before the heat gets ya."
SP31 Wrench used Iron Defense! SP30 Mankey used Seismic Toss! Wrench fainted!

Caribes’ face curled into a deeply set frown. Lucas staggered from his momentary lapse in personality and took another quick turn, trying to reassure the two mafia members that their sweet friend was tough and would be fine. That was not the character arc that Caribes built up amid their very long and drawn out battle, and so could not be the simple conclusion they allowed this mess to simply become. They staggered, feet wobbling a bit from the effort, and reached a wrinkled hand out towards the other for a moment. “She only thinks she’s tough.” Caribes insisted on their weakened legs.
It was a ploy, meant to lure Lucas in. The idiot remained standoffish and even slowly backed away at first. He turned to Silas and gestured towards the elderly gent with a strange expression. There was absolutely no way that the engineer could trust the two of them. Plus, he had work that needed to be done and couldn’t afford to have the project put off to a later date. People relied on Lucas to get their power lines fixed so that their energy would remain stable and working through the worst parts of the storm. He couldn’t let them down now! “Uh, your uncle doesn’t look so well!”
Caribes huffed, slipping along the way so that they nearly collapsed with one hand pressed against the side of their head. They shook their head firmly and blinked, mumbling a bit at first to find their words. “I’m ok son…just please, help me up real quick?” Caribes insisted, and glanced towards Silas whom they’d managed to wander just far enough away from, that it was obvious that Lucas would be quicker to make it to Caribes’ side instead. It the engineer failed the old gent now it would be on their hands what happened to Caribes in the eye of the dust storm. “Please? I just need a little help getting close to the clinic at least. Can’t you show us the right path forward really quick? After all the trouble you’ve caused us?” Caribes insisted.
Lucas started to shake his head, but as Caribes nearly tripped again, the betterment of his own human nature kicked in. He rushed over and grabbed the elderly gent by one arm and guffawed at how heavy such an elderly and seemingly frail person could be. That’s what working out in a gym every day will get you. A nice, built form after years of hard time leaving Caribes with very few options in life beyond expanding their mind with books and expanding their bodies with tough, rigorous exercises. “Oh, thank you! My nephew is strong but even he struggles to help me during my worst spells. Please…just a little way along the way? Then we won’t bother with your work, sir. I was just upset you stopped me along the way to Della’s, that’s all.” Caribes even apologized.
So long as Silas grabbed Caribes’ other side, Lucas would eventually relent and lead the way. When they neared a dark alleyway, Caribes’ strength seemingly returned in the blink of an eye. One moment, a trio of men were casually strolling along in the eye of the storm, two of them carrying the weaker third one along the way. The next, the two mafia members would pull their newfound companion into the alleyway, a muffled scream would slip as a barely audible whisper, and then the two mafia members could return to their usual trek along the open streets of Azalea once more.
“I can’t believe we were blessed with a dust storm and an annoying engineer, truth be told. Which way do you think it is now?” Caribes asked with an eyebrow raise. They neared a rather…interesting looking how. Several yard decorations were out in the front yard. A long, white picket fence wrapped in front of a chain link fence with sharp barbed wire along the top. And several different canid Pokemon prowling through the grassy yard screaming for a haircut. There was absolutely no way that was the target….was it?
“Hey, get a look at this work of art here. I bet the only thing worth seeing are the lamps inside.” Caribes chuckled with a nod as a casual comment to Silas. Though the blinds were pulled down over the windows, they were tattered and torn. The obvious handiwork of someone who really loved cats or who didn’t know how to replace a single thing in their life. Given the state of affairs of their yard, though, both options were viable.

"Uncle!" Silas fretted as Caribes took his cue to lure Lucas in closer. The city worker remained hesitant, subconsciously sensing them as trouble, perhaps, or really that dedicated to his work. Silas stepped forward to help him 'stand up', but looked to Lucas for aid. C'mon. Bite. BITE the DANG HOOK ALREADY, YOU LOATHESOME IMBECILE WHO ALREADY MADE THEM STAND OUT IN THIS SANDSTORM UNTIL THEIR SKIN FELT RAW. It took everything in him not to just punch him in the mouth.
But luckily, his better nature kicked in.
Lucas', not Silas'.
The man came to catch Caribes', seemingly startled by the strength in the older gent. Yeah, Silas was surprised by that too as he manhandled his teammate this whole time. Caribes was built like a brick wall compared to Silas—dense and lean and muscular. They sure played the role of frail old man well, though. They were clearly more than they pretended to be.
"I unfortunately work a desk job in the city. Some of us aren't farmers or builders, Uncle," Silas said. "I bet you could still haul a bale of hay on a good day. It would probably crush me." He thumped Caribes' shoulder companionably as Lucas gave in and propped up his other side. Bingo. Gotcha. "This way." And they 'hobbled' towards a little shortcut. When nobody was looking and they were sure of it, those zip ties came into good use.
Lucas wouldn't be a problem anymore. He couldn't tattle about the two men looking for Delores. And they'd be able to ditch town before anyone knew he was missing. Unfortunate that it came to this. Silas did idly check the man's pilfered wallet, handing over half the cash to Caribes, "I see why he worked in dangerous conditions. Clearly they pay him decently enough. He had a whole lunch's worth of money on hand." His tone was dry and he rolled his violet eyes as he trashed the wallet once he removed the useful bits—IDs, credit cards, oh a coupon for a free hotdog at the Pokemart.
"Hm...yes. Abysmal weather and an inconvenient obstruction. Our luck hasn't been the best so far...has it?" Silas agreed as he looked over to what Caribes pointed out. Well that WAS an interesting house indeed. "That better not be Delores' place. It looks like the house of a crazy cat lady married he end of world prepper man, and they both breed canines for 'profit' in their backyard." Silas was unimpressed. "There is a mailbox over there. The people in this town write their names on the side, we should be able to figure out if it is Delores by reading it."
And thus Silas approached said mailbox to check it out.

In front of them was an interesting house with plenty yard decorations, nicely painted white picket fences with leashed canine Pokemon to go along with them. In the distance, the duo would spot a sleeping Mightyena, an energetic Granbull sparring with another Granbull, a hyperactive Bolthund running within its leashed parameter, a calm Herdier casually walking on the grass, and at least a Manectric trying to spark up the leash to no avail. There might be more canine Pokemon lurking around, but given their number and how evolved they were, the leashed Pokemon were the last safety measure from the Pokemon ganging up on them. The front lawn also had some Pokemon looking decorations, such as a Clefairy looking like a garden gnome in monochrome pink, a Swanna metal sculpture miniature staring at the sky, and a praying looking Meditite that doubled as solar charged night light. Even if the two were choosing not to approach the house, one of the Pokemon sniffed them in the air, and began barking again. This lead to the rest of them barking at them and rushing as far as their leash would let them to see what's going on. From inside the house, a young woman appeared. She couldn't possibly own this house, right? Maybe she's the daughter or neighbor's friend's daughter or hired help to dog-sit and house-sit these Pokemon. She came out of the house in a sundress and called out loud. "What's wrong? What happened? Did the sandstorm passed?" She looked around and saw two tall men in suits. She pointed toward a sign on the yard. "NO SOLICITORS! Do you not see the sign? I do not want to join your congregation or buy your Future Sight Share!" She hurled out two Pokeballs to face the foes. "Unless you're the delivery person, then you need to leave! I just calmed these Pokemon several minutes ago!" She yelled, as the wind picked up from the sandstorm once again. Perhaps, the atrocious weather wasn't over yet! I'm going to ignore what happened to Lucas.

Their work went by relatively clean, causing little worry or concern. The two mafia members divvied the remains of Lucas’ belongings on hand, including a lump sum of change that was enough to cause Caribes’ jaw to drop – if they were some kind of goofy cartoon character. Instead, they smirked, a sick and demented sort of satisfaction washing over their face as they stuffed the change inside of their pockets with a quick nod. “Stupid idiot doesn’t know how unwise it is to carry so much money on hand? He could have been robbed!” A harsh snicker at the obvious that happened. “Truly, it’s best that we watch over it until he’s feeling better. Don’t you think?”
Their trails of casual conversation sputtered to a stop after Caribes pointed out the house and Silas commented on it with utter disgust. Caribes worked worse jobs in the past when they’d first climbed the corporate ladder of their snake-oil organization. From stealing candy from literal babies, to turning themselves into makeshift armchairs to earn their spot on more lucrative outings, there was a strange bullying mentality that went together with such a corrupt organization. You only pushed back if you were damn well confident that you would win again the other Rocket member. Though it was frowned upon, there were rumors that hinted as some members removing other members from their ranks to gain their positions.
A woman popped out from the front door and waltzed out with a confused expression. Was she disturbed by the casual glance of her mailbox? “No, ma’am. The storm hasn’t passed at all!” Caribes turned, snake-oil in hand, and lathered their expression so that honey dripped from every inch. These distractions were beginning to get more than bothersome. They focused on the inner peace within their own soul to keep a firm grip on their sanity. Why was everyone so dead-set on stopping them lately? “It’s best if you go back inside, for your own safety! We were trying to find my friend, Della’s house! I’m awfully worried about her!” Caribes tried to explain with a sweet smile.
The charm faded as she plucked two balls from her purse and tossed them into the air. There were…thousands of canines running amuck inside of the yard. Caribes swore that they’d witnessed more than one of the dogs hiking their legs to relieve themselves with a flow of expelled liquid waste. And if that wasn’t bad enough, the stench from the other kind where the material remained in the grass not yet collected and thrown into the nearest receptacle only made them want to backpedal and forsake their mission entirely. Like hell, we’ve come this far to back out now! That’s no way to act as an agent of Team Rocket! Caribes silently scolded themselves, pulling out a Poke Ball of their own.
A small pink cow appeared in the blink of an eyes. She pressed her hooves against her face and jumped up and down excitedly. “New friends?! This is so exciting! I just love to play!” As the winds scratched at her body, Orla turned to face the direction of the storm and grimaced. “But I don’t want to play in this weather! Why can’t we go inside to play?!” Caribes sighed and tried once more with a knowing nod of their head towards the bright pink cow. If this crazy lady didn’t back down soon enough, they would just have to brute force their way through. “We’re really not trying to solicit! Please, recall your Pokemon. You’re misunderstanding our intentions! My nephew and I aren’t even interested in your place, we just had the wrong address!” Should that not work, they’d instruct their cow to kick the living crap out of the dancing white Pokemon with green accents.

"As my Uncle just said, we weren't soliciting. Just passing by! This weather makes it hard for us to see the houses so we were just checking the numbers on the mailbox," Silas explained, expression strained. First a city worked climbed down a pole to stop them from traveling in the storm, and now some random lady barged out of her house to yell at them for walking by her property on the public sidewalk. Was everyone this paranoid in a small town? Give him the city life over this nonsense any day!
Stepping back, palms shown in a placating fashion, Silas shifted AWAY from the mailbox and back towards Caribes. "Since this isn't Della's residence, we are moving along. Pardon for the—" Aaaaand now she had sent pokemon out to drive them off. He was annoyed. Not only was this place a wreck, but it stank, and now the sandstorm was picking back up and making his skin itch. At least he never removed the hankerchief from around his mouth and nose, so he wasn't breathing in dirt as the wind started to whip around, pummeling everything in sight.
He then threw a ball, his own pokemon join the miltank's side again. Brutus danced cheerfully, uncertain of why his trainer was suddenly so stressed and irritable. Maybe it was this weather? Who knew? He was just happy to be here and ever so helpful! Upon seeing Orla stomp on the Kirlia, he decided to go help out like last time! He was good at helping. He scurried over and tried to grab the Kirlia and toss it around around.
<Dance with me!?> he asked excitably. Dancing was fun. You could go around and around and around. Wheeee! And when you were done whirling your partner around you tossed them reaaal high up, right?
As the excitable monkey joined the fray, Silas sighed and kept shuffling away from the scene, "Why don't you go back inside, miss? We don't want to fight, but we will defend ourselves." And he wasn't against mugging a nosy woman for her wallet too. That normal-type of hers looked rare and fluffy. Perfect for an admin to gift their screaming brat. Though taking it and leaving the girl to cry to the authorities before they ever found Mitzy was foolish. It was best to just move on unless Caribes was feeling lucky. Maybe there was a shed they could lock her in...or he did have an Ekans that knew glare that could paralyze her into silence if she gabbed too much.

"Aww dang it." The woman was a bit disappointed at the false alarm that the sandstorm had passed. She wasn't really listening to their please though, and was ready to send the "solicitors" away. She began to give her orders, "Kirlia, use Confusion on the Mankey, Cinccino, use Swift!"The normal type moved first, swaying its fluffy tail and unleashed a series of bright honing stars. The visitors tried to dodge them, but to no avail, and then got smacked by the wishing stars-- wishing for their fall. The Miltank charged forward, and then stomped the Kirlia hard, making it cried out in pain. Brutus followed, picking up the weakened duo type, spun in the air, and then tossed the opponent down, like a dealer slapping a card on a casino table. The unfortunate Kirlia was knocked out from the impact before it even get to make it a move. "UGH! You people! Look at what you've done! I bet you're trying to solicit Della too!" She huffed angrily, and held a Pokeball to return her fallen Pokemon. "Return, Kirlia! I don't care if you're looking to build another Bidoof Temple or Omanyte Outreach program or fundraising for little Timmy's Little League Bocce Game, I am not giving you a cent!" She stopped just as the sandstorm picked up, hurting everyone on the field with a smack of pebbles.
