A lone Illumise showed up, and the young trainer shrugged as that was just his luck. Okay, so the Sizzlipede was still his best encounter so far. Perhaps he was glad to not bring a Shedinja this time, as he remembered the last time he brought one. He smiled and finally ordered his next move to his Kricketune. "Kricketune, use X-scissor!"

The orange bug chirped and then danced forward with his attack once again, with his blade-arm ready for sharp contact with the opponent. Ethan watched quietly as he was praying internally, that whoever his last Pokemon would be for this BCC, would be something interesting. It doesn't have to be rare, just interesting.

Raising his blade-arms up high, the Kricketune darted forward and slashed them at the opponent. The small purple squeaked in pain and fluttered away. Its cheery and encouraging presence was not needed.

Left alone again, Ethan counted his encounters and figured that he would have last one left. He had decided for this instance he would deliberately draw attention to himself. The quicker he got it done, the quicker he could stay in air conditioned room to cool down. He shuffled the grass under his feet as he walked, and even stomped the grass each step. Come on now, last bug Pokemon.

With one last encounter left, Ethan had some hope what his stomping and bringing attention of wild pokemon to him. Unfortunately to his expectation, a Caterpie simply crawled in front of him. No wild bug pokemon jumped out at him instead.

“Kricketune, use x-scissor!” He called out his next move, an obvious choice to end his BCC run. With one last pokemon, he can’t wait to go sit in the AC.
