Krobus' mouth watered as it watched the Grubbin shy away as he struck it once more with his poisonous fingertips. As the poison seemed to flow into the small grubs veins, the bug decided it was high time it fought back! It charged forward into Krobus, biting into Krobus' arm forcing the toad to retreat a few steps. Krobus looked at his arm in disbelief at the bite, before letting out a fearsome croak. Sara took the opportunity to toss a sport ball at the grubbin, which sucked the pokemon up. Krobus watched in disbelief, then quickly turned to start chastising Sara for her transgression. It rapidly inflated and deflated its cheeks, creating a loud slapping noise. "Oh hush, Krobus!" Sara frowned. The ball the Grubbin was in let out a satisfied -click- as it sealed the grubbin away inside of it. "Really Krobus, you ought to be more obedient! That could have been a prize winning bug, and you would have blown it for us!"
Krobus wasn't hearing any of it, and continued its frustrated cheek-clacking, and Sara sighed in defeat. "Fine, fine, your protest has been noted!" Sara said, pulling a potion out from her backpack and spraying it on the bite wounds that Krobus had suffered. Krobus pulled their arm away for a moment, but as the potion settled in and began its healing, Krobus let his arm hang back out allowing Sara to finish applying the medicine. "Really, don't put up a fuss!" Sara chastised again, and Krobus pulled away once more and turned their back to Sara with a slight huff. Sara couldn't help but smile even though it was obvious that Krobus was frustrated. "Alright, well thanks for your help. But next time just distract the bug! There's no way this one will win us a prize." Sara said grabbing the sport ball off the ground. She quickly tossed the ball into the woods, releasing the grubbin contained within. Krobus let out another slight croak of displeasure as the meal it had fought so hard to get was released so quickly. "That's that one taken care of. Krobus, return to your ball for now. We'll eat soon! Just as soon as this contest is over, so please be patient!" With that, Sara quickly got to searching for her next encounter.

Sara continued wandering around the park. It was getting later in the afternoon, and time was definitely running short. Sara knew she had to move quickly if she wanted to find something other than the Sizzlipede for entry into the contest. As Sara walked, she noticed a twinkling in the air as she walked. "Wha?" She wondered, as powder slowly descended from the sky. Sara looked around in confusion before the powder on her skin began to sting. "Agh!" Sara yelled as she quickly began to brush the dust off of herself. She looked up to the sky and saw the Butterfree floating by in the sky. "Whoa...." Sara said as she took in the beautiful wings of the pokemon. As more powder rained down on her Sara quickly was snapped out of it, and had to get moving. "Nope! Not worth it!" Sara said, as she ran away. "I'm too out in the open, I've got to find some cover from this!" Sara thought, as the Butterfree seemed to weakly give chase for a moment. As Sara charged towards the tall trees, the Butterfree seemed to lose interest, content in knowing that it had warded off Sara.

As Sara wandered around in the more wooded area, a small Caterpie waddled along in front of her. "Ah! This looks cute!" Sara thought sneaking along behind the Caterpie. Sara watched as it slowly feasted on a berry of some kind, before deciding to reveal herself. "Hey little bug! Wanna come with me over to the contest podium?" Sara gave an encouraging smile. "Imagine if I brought this to them without using any sport balls at all! That would impress the judges!" Sara thought to herself cunningly. The Caterpie looked at Sara for a second as if considering the offer before promptly spitting a string shot into her face. "GAH!" Sara shouted, reaching down to the Pokeballs she had on her belt. "Krobus! I need you to distract this thing! We gotta do this the hard way I guess!" She quickly found the Pokeball she was looking for, and tossed Croagunk's ball in front of her. The Caterpie looked shocked as the Croagunk popped from its pokeball. Krobus looked at the Caterpie and once again began to salivate. "No! Krobus don't!" Sara shouted as she fumbled for a sport ball. It was too late though, and Krobus quickly got to work, seeming to sink into the shadows in front of Caterpie in preparation for a sneaky attack.
