A Brief Jaunt into the Underworld [BIKE] [Done]

In and out. That was his goal. Silas had a mission coming up that he needed to have his head fully in the game for. He refused to fumble so close to the starting line. Thus, in order to cool his head and get himself into work mode, Silas decided to take on a little light work in the tunnels. All he was here to do was a little petty theft. Nothing complicated. Nothing noteworthy. He let himself fade into the crush of people navigating the tunnel, looking to dine and shop. At his side was Brutus, who held that sutra he found back in Ilex in one grubby hand. Silas discovered, in time, that the tag attracted powerful pokemon. If he was going to be wandering around where he could encounter some, might as well encounter the strongest, yes?

Once he emerged from the thick of things, he let his gaze pass over the crowd until he spotted a fellow in a familiar black outfit. Ah, yes, the fellow grunt he was here to help do a brief gig. Practically purse snatching, really. He nodded to the man and gave him the signal, which the man responded to in kind. Good. They were on the same page.

Now, time to warm up for his biggest heist yet.

He put on a charming smile and walked through the front door of one of the shops. Apparently the owner was behind on 'payments' to the Rockets. The protection fee turned into debt to be paid for via your kneecaps pretty quick if you renegaded on payments. Silas waited for the store to clear out and for his back up to enter the shop as well, locking the door behind them and flipping the sign to closed.

Neither noticed that Brutus had been locked outside, cheerfully oblivious to what was going on within the shop. He happily climbed on benches and rummaged through a nearby trashcan before tugging at a lady's purse. She swore at him and hurried away, leaving a confused Brutus watching her leave. Huh. Weird. Why was she so mad?

He continued to 'monkey around' for a while as Silas and his 'friend' started to close in on the idiot that got in bad graces with the mob. For now it was just a nice little 'chat'. They were reasonable people. Money. Goods. Pokemon. There was more than one way to repay one's debts, as long as it could be repurposed or sold.

Brutus looked at the magnemite that floated by. Oh. Hello. You could float! Where were your wings if you can fly? Or were you a scary psychic type? The mankey was sus. With narrowed eyes, he followed the floating pokemon around for a moment, poking at it and chasing it for a while. When the sparky pokemon, well, sparked, the startled mankey leapt up and tried to grab the magnemite. Could he float on top?! Woah! Not the best place to balance. Maybe he could knock it out of the air? That way he could stand on it easier.

This might hurt...

Brutus lifted his arms and struck down at the magnemite he was trying to stand on. Fear his mighty cross chop!

As the Mankey waged war with the local wildlife, Silas made sure this shop owner knew that he was indeed dealing with the Rockets. That they weren't bluffing. The other grunt flashed the R on his chest as Silas opened his jacket to reveal the stitched R on the lining (Caribes gave him the idea, not that he'd ever admit that he made the adjustment to one of his jackets because of him).

He flashed pearly teeth at the owner who started to back away from the counter and cower, begging for more time to come up with the money. Please, he could barely make rent. His kids needed to eat. Mercy! Silas tutted at him, tucking both hands into his pockets, cocking his head as he gazed down at the man with cold eyes. "Honestly, you should have thought of the whole 'wanting to eat' thing sooner. Hard to eat without a tongue."

The man dropped to his knees and begged some more, terrified. Silas drank in his fear, humming to himself as the other grunt kept up the menacing, now waving a knife in the man's face to really sink in the message. However, they weren't here for the man's blood. Just to scare some sense into him and to send a message. 

"Now, hand over all the money in the register," the other grunt growled. The man nodded and shakily did what he was told, putting the money he had on hand into a bag and handing it over. He backed against a wall, clearly expecting to get attacked. Luckily for him, their wrath was saved for the displays. Silas and the grunt kicked over some stands, broke some stuff so that the man cowered behind the counter some more, before finally unlocking the door and leaving as if nothing had happened.
