The eerie silence that permeated over the Shady Glen was deafening, Tristan was finding it quite uncomforting to be quiet honest. The teenage male was a water baby at heart so being in the midst of a maze like forest in an entirely different region to his own was quite the fish out water-esque moment. Nami's attention had been locked firmly upon the Farfetch'd that they were now holding hostage in order to eventually be returned to its owner, the cheeky duck pokemon was just as likely to use any opportunity to escape and lead them on even more of a wild goose chase. Tristan had been slowly making his way towards a different route to explore within the forest when a strangely familiar looking bug type pokemon made its presence be known to him. Upon further inspection of the cocoon like bug pokemon, he noticed its eerie similarity to the one that Shelly had waged battle against not too long ago, except for the fact it was covered in white silk rather than purple silk,
"Holy smokes, this one look's so similar to our last little friend, only the fact its wrapped in a different colour silk"
Tristan's attention quickly snapped back to the Farfetch'd as he realised that he had been distracted by the bug type pokemon that was now seemingly blocking the path forward, the duck pokemon hadn't attempted an escape but was just as likely to,
"Nami girl, can you keep an eye on our feathered friend here while I handle this little one?"
Nami nodded her head in acknowledgment, her gaze upon her target completely unwavering, one silly move on the duck pokemon's part was going to be a painful mistake it wished it hadn't made. Tristan retrieved from his belt a pokeball characterized by a blue top with a red "V" going up the middle which was decorated by three, vertical, yellow lines, a signature custom poke-ball crafted from Apricorns by Kurt of Azalea Town. Tristan pointed the fancy pokeball towards the ground in front of him and emerging from the gleaming red light was Lolong, the Totodile that was eternally grateful to his new trainer for rescuing him from the dastardly deeds of Team Rocket.
"Lolong my little buddy, mind helping me move our little friend here out of the road?"
The bipedal, crocodilian pokemon gleefully nodded in response to his trainers request. The water type pokemon with a well-developed jaw's natural species based instinct was to bite anything within sight, however it was seemingly aware of the size of the bug type pokemon blocking the way and such a manner of moving it out of the road was just as likely to significantly hurt the poor thing. Instead Lolong opened his jaw wide and released a gentle spiral of water, the aim of the maneuver to simply push the bug type off the beaten path rather than actually harm it. Lolong the Totodile is using Water Gun on the wild Silcoon!

Uh oh. It was decidedly...stuck. Mobility was quite hard, and while it could throw itself around some using the spines that it could expand and retract, it was decidedly less nimble than most other pokemon. Namely the wurmple that pushed it out of the tree... Now it was face first with a trainer and its pokemon... It wasn't sure of any intentions, because they could be meanie liar heads who told foul fibs while doing the opposite of what they said they would do. But silcoon was prepared. It wouldn't be pushed around. It was...fearsome! FEROCIOUS EVEN! To be feared! None should be able to penetrate its defenses and then the human would have no choice but to leave it alone. Perfect. As it tightened up its silk to be harder than stone...it was knocked aside by jet of water. HOW WAS THIS HELPING?! Now it was immobile AND wet. The immobile bug type pokemon covered in white silk had been thrust into action by a pre-evolved form of its evolutionary line, like some sort of sacrificial lamb. Tristan had no intentions of trying to physically harm the small pokemon but it was serving as a quite irritating roadblock on his path to find and retrieve the second pesky duck pokemon. Lolong's Water Gun attack looked reserved, an attempt to push the bug-type pokemon off the beaten path, instead the impact of the attack barely knocked the chrysalide pokemon out of the road and instead left its silk soaked,
"Stubborn little bugger isn't it? Alright Lolong, another gentle water gun and surely it'll just let us continue on without any trouble!"
The one-sided battle between Lolong the Totodile and the wild Silcoon had provided just enough of a distraction, or so Farfetch'd thought at the very least. The leek wielding duck pokemon had used a moment where Nami's attention had shifted to the now soaked bug type pokemon to try and high tail it out of their sights. Nami had thankfully noticed the rapid shift in movement from the corner of her eye and fired a freezing cold ice beam at the legs of the normal type pokemon, quite literally stopping it in its tracks. Tristan's attention directed towards the attempted escape from the Farfetch'd as he chuckled, it was a daring attempt but one that it would likely not try again with Nami on guard duty. Lolong the Totodile is using Water Gun on the wild Silcoon again!

AHHHHHHH. MORE WET. MORE WATER. <QUIT THAT, YOU FOOL!> the silcoon complained, finally having enough of this nonsense. <You are needlessly soaking me and I did not ask for a bath. I would be drier had I fallen into a pond and sank to the bottom! If you are so insistent on HELPING, use your hands. You have two of them. I am not so large nor heavy that you would strain to carry me, and we both know I am incapable of retaliation in this state. So do use both a favor and desist. Desist AT ONCE!> The silcoon tried to wiggle a bit furth on its spindly spine 'legs', but mostly just ended up flopping an inch to the left and getting a leaf stuck to its face. Oh the humilation! The chrysalides pokemon was clearly not having the best day of its life, it would indefinitely take some time and exposure to sunlight to dry off its soaked yet silky exterior. Lolong felt sorry for the immobile bug type pokemon, it's physical limitations clearly not allowing it to escape the scene nor offer up a solid fight back, the crocodilian pokemon was glad he had hands and feet, no matter how small they may be,
"Well if nothing else, this little one has had a good wash I guess. Lolong, one more Water Gun surely moves it out of the road, lets do it buddy"
Sylvester's Farfetch'd was clearly bored of the situation at hand, it appeared ready to use its leek to hit the Silcoon out of the road like a bat to a baseball, Nami however wanted to let her teammate handle the situation, it was valuable experience for the young Totodile. Lolong the Totodile is using Water Gun on the wild Silcoon again!

The vague idea that the cocoon had had, as it made up the plan it got wurmple to help it with, was that it would be able to evolve faster if it did this. Wild silcoons were stuck waiting and waiting and waiting for their evolution to finally happen, but for some reason, silcoons who were battling with a human evolved much faster! This one was tired of being stuck and helpless, and being humiliated each time someone happened to stumble upon it. It wanted to gain wings it could spread wide, to gain the freedom of being able to move again! To go where ever it wanted! The logic behind its plan was well enough, battles could help even silcoons evolve faster than normally. It just had one major flaw in its plan: silcoons with a trainer had help, they didn't battle alone. It required several soakings for this one to realize that there was nothing it could do here, other than sit humiliated and being soaked to the nonexisting bone. "You can pull me up again!" It called out, in the dim hope that the wurmple would somehow still be close enough to hear it, and brave enough to act. The chances were practically zero. It glared at Lolong and the none-helping he was doing, and a moment later it got blasted into the surrounding shrubbery and out of sight. The road was free once more. Lolong grows +2 levels to [Lv 12]!
