The brown beetle-like pokemon took up a defensive stance in response to the sudden initiation of battle from Jupiter the Ampharos. The ditzy electric type pokemon's attack was enough to cause the bug type pokemon opposing her to have hindered movements after being inflicted with paralysis. Maxwell retrieved a sport ball that the competition organizer had provided to him and tossed it towards the beetle-like pokemon in hopes of capturing it.

"Hopefully we find a bug that will actually win us this competition, I doubt this one gets the job done"

Several trainers around the national park were scurrying around, the warning overhead alerting them that the Bug Catching Contest would soon come to a close heaping pressure on them. Maxwell had secured an entry for judging, however he wasn't overly confident that the recently captured Rellor would be the winning specimen, hence why he continued to search for a bonafide, first place securing bug type that would blow the rest of the competitors out of contention,

» OOC: Done and dusted, later Metapod!

Maxwell was not pleased when another Metapod was the only bug type pokemon that didn't appear to be in combat against other trainers and their pokemon. Jupiter was full of innocent joy as the chaos of the tail-end of the competition meant there was so much going on around her, her already naturally weakened ability to concentrate at the best of times was well and truly being throttled to a higher gear. Shaking his head in disappointment that the competition was going to end on such a lackluster note, Max snappily requested his electric type pokemon to dispose of the much smaller bug type pokemon.

"Damn it, nuke that stupid Metapod with your Thunderbolt and let's be done with this"
