"Okay, well, that was that." The dustox broke from the ball and sleepily roused from its slumber. But before it could poison crocalor again, Crocalor got its revenge on the poisonous menace and BLASTED IT INTO THE STRATOSPHERE with fire pledge. Burn baby burn. The croc danced happily at its circle of destruction and Freya sighed, shoulders slumping in defeat. "Aight, next pokemon. Here, have a snack. Maybe if you're eating you won't attack the first thing you see and I can get a better idea of what we're dealing with."

"Woah! Hey, a dottler! That looks promising. And it's hopefully easier to catch than dustox." Not the rarest thing out there, but certainly more intriguing than a dustox. Unlike the common wurmple that roamed everywhere, blipbug and dottler weren't usually found outside of this contest. So. Score! There were still rarer things that would tempt her to change her choice should she find them, but for now... "Okay crocalor, use yawn! Put that bug to sleep!"
Crocalor tilted his head and stuffed the rest of the berry in his mouth to finish chewing. Okay. HE WAS READY. Time to yawn in the bug's face until it conked out.

Perfect! <Now burn?> Crocalor asked eagerly. "No!" Freya scolded. "No burn. Now we CATCH." <Aweeee. But got to burn the moth.> "Because it poisoned you." Freya rolled her eyes and got out her sports balls. Time to start chuckin' them. YEET! She would throw them one at a time until that dottler was hers. Of course, if it woke up, she'd need to put it asleep again, but hopefully her odds were good enough that this one would just stay in the first ball like a good little beetle bug thing. "First ball." Aaaaand throw. The sport ball flew true. |

"I still don't know how sleeping pokemon break out of pokeballs, buuuut they do," Freya observed with a sigh, watching as the dottler went IN to the ball, before breaking out, re-appearing, still quite asleep. She readied another ball. "If this one fails, you'll need to get to yawning." Freya eyed the beetle and then...THROW. Another ball. Right on target.
Crocalor got right up into the dottler's face, ready to yawn again if the ball failed to catch. FOOOOOCUSSS. WAAAATCH REAAAALLLY CLOOOOSELY.
WAAAAATCH.
He squinted at the beetle.
Stay in that ball, bub, or he'd have to knock ya back out!

Once more the sleeping pokemon popped out, rousing to use a struggle bug on crocalor, as if to make an irritable point. Who dare wake it?! How rude. But the croc fortunately listened to mama and didn't burn it to a crisp for waking, instead breathing heavily in its face to make it drowsy. He kept it up even after the first go, juuuust to make sure it stuck. Freya readied another ball to throw upon the bug falling asleep. C'mon, just go ni-ni and she would catch you buggy and then both of you would be very happy.

What a stubborn dottler...did not want to stay in the ball AT ALL. Well. Okay then. She had to rely on Crocalor here to stay patient. He looked really tempted to start setting the bug on fire now that he had taken some damage and was feeling weaker. He bared his teeth and did his little dance of intimidation. GRRRR. Freya just shook her head again and stepped between the croc and his frustrating un-burnable bug. "Shush. Please be good for mama and stand there quietly. I'm going to throw sport balls at it until it wakes up." Or hopefully stays caught.

While the illuminated vertices of the exotic bug twinkled above their slumbering owner the flurry of balls began. The first harmlessly ricocheted off of the shell but the second... It flew low and smacked Dottler right in the face. The air seemed to gasp for Freya with the worry it that would undoubtedly wake it up and ruin the whole setup, but! It didn't. The figure was sucked away inside and without even a single wobble the device snapped its lock and chimed. Bike Mode x3 - done in 2 ^^

Freya frantically threw pokeballs, trying to catch the dottler before it roused. And in the end? SUCCESS! Heck yeah! She watched as the bug went into the ball and stayed there. She ran over to crocalor and hugged him, "Good boy. Thank you for not frying the bug even though you really wanted to, bud."
<Heh. I mean, I am very good.> He said cheerfully, agreeing with Freya's praise with a jaunty little wiggle. <Okay, next bug!>
Freya laughed despite herself, "Yes, yes, next bug. But unless it's a durant, you're probably safe in frying it."
