The defiant and strong and sturdy Durant was finally caught after having its health brought down. Alex sighed a breath of relief and wondered if he should have done that in the beginning before throwing balls and using up his Soda Pop. The Sandshrew then suddenly glowed and changed his body as he evolved into a sharper Sandslash.

"Congratulations, Duerks! You've evolved! You've earned it!" Alex cheered his Pokemon. The ground type growled at the sky with claws facing up. Then, he turned around to check out the sharp furs pointing out from his back. He thought he looked sick and radical!

As the trainer saw more trainers completing the BCC, he called out to his Pokemon. "Let's look for more bugs to hit and then we can go celebrate!"

A small Nincada appeared, crawling forward trying to size up the Sandslash. The ground type was taken by surprise, but it was a small scratch on his tough hides! The Sandslash shook it off, and then slammed his body on the ground and created a shockwave from the Bulldoze. The Nincada tumbled into a ball, and then kept on rolling until it was safely away from that powerful ground type.

Alex wasn't going to catch the Nincada anyways. The two rejoined together again, and the young trainer walked toward a certain tree he remembered from previous BCC he had entered. He wondered if the next Pokemon would look strong or another weak one.

Curtiefly [Lv 10] Appears! It survives the first attack with 1 HP and then fills the air with fairy like winds.

A small Cutiefly appeared flapping its wings, and then Duerks hastily created a shockwave that sent the small little bug tumbling in the air. The sweet little bug barely regained its balance and summoned a waft of magical wind toward the Sandslash, but it didn't do much of an anything toward the ground type. Then, Duerks executed another Shockwave to send the Cutiefly tumbling away in the air.

Duerks roared at the sky casually to celebrate the easy victory, and then went back to trudge along the tall grass of the National Park. With two more Pokemon seen, Alex was already halfway through the BCC. Just two more Pokemon, and then he would be done with the contest!

An Illumise buzzed by peacefully, but its peaceful flying was soon interrupted by the Sandslash's bulldoze. The tremoring wave knocked the bug out of its groove, and then the bug type attacked with a Struggle Bug. The two Pokemon exchanged Bulldoze and Struggle Bug back and forth, but now both of them were panting on their last breath.

"You almost had it, Duerks! Use Bulldoze again!" Alex hollered out and cheered his Pokemon. The ground type roared and created another Bulldoze at the Illumise's direction.

Using one more Bulldoze, the bug type was sent tumbling in the air. When the Illumise finally regained balance, it flew away and shouted displeasure of such a brute! Seeing the Illumise flew off, Alex grabbed a small potion to heal up his battered Sandslash. The Illumise's Struggle Bug put some dent to the sandy rodent, but thankfully they weren't enough to faint his own Pokemon. Not to mention, he wasn't trying to burn up his Soda Pop in this bug catching competition!

"We should have one more Pokemon left, then we can go back in to cool down!" Alex spoke excitedly at the Sandslash, who growled agreeably at the human's speech. Just one more Pokemon to go!

[Caramell 🍬]

A small yellow fly buzzed from out of the grass. After a powerful blow from Duerks, it unleashed a blast of fairy energy in a gust of strong winds. Duerks retaliated, slamming it hard once more with his attack.
