Kitamina Willow Kit was on her last nerve with Tyv, the newest addition to her team. "Get off my dang head!" Kit tried lifting the Spearow from where it was nesting on the top of her head. Tyv replied with pecking at her fingers, to which Kit yelped and sucked at her pointer finger, where the digit pulsed with heat. "You're not exactly the lightest thing in the world you big oaf!" This situation was similar to how Kit had first met the Spearow. Kit had just been walking out of Prof. Oaks lab when the dang bird had swooped down and tried to remove her scalp. At least Tyv was no longer trying to rip her hair out, only make a comfy bed out of it. Kit still looked the worse for wear after her last battle. She had scrubbed the soot from her cheeks left by Fearas ember attack, that had been aimed right at her face. But Kit had not had time for a full on shower. She had contemplated dipping into the river, but had quickly decided against that. Winter was frosty and freezing. Kit would probably lose a toe to frost bite with her luck.
Kit had taken the time to plan her route, she wanted to get as far away from New Bark as quick as she could on foot. She had been stuck in that small town for far too long and she had so much to do and see. Currently, Kit knew that she was on the outskirts of Cherrygrove City. The City had been a shock to Kit. All the people out and about, shopping, eating and just mulling around. Kit had hated her time in the City, she had managed to pick up a few more pokeballs with the money she'd saved from all those jobs she had abhorred. But she hadn't wanted to spend more time than necessary in there. Her quick departure was why she hadn't properly cleaned up.
Kit gave up trying to remove Tyv from her head, instead she urged her other two pokemon, Bagel and Feara to lead the way. They would head down route 30 to check out Violet City. Hopefully that place wasn't as bustling as Cherrygrade City had been. Though Kit didn't hold hope of that, since it was called a City. "Shouldn't take us too long to get where we need to go." Kit told her companions. "But we still might have to break camp before night falls." Kit had a starter kit and tent in her backpack that she could set up to keep the team warm if they spent too long traveling. Words: 441

Having quickly passed through the little bustling town quickly, Kit found herself in the snowy wilds outside of Cherrygrove, where there was a fresh layer of frost glistening on leaf of every bush or tree. There were no flowers offering peeks of color nor did blades of grass stick up triumphantly through the white blanketing the ground. Besides the few evergreen needles, winter had suppressed all into shades of white and grey. Her breath fogged around her face. Ahead, Violet City awaited. The journey looked clear and peaceful enough, the path towards the big city marked with tracks of trainers that had forged ahead before her. It would be easy enough to make it before dark as long as she didn't get distracted. As she walked, she would be distantly aware of the babbling of water. The ocean? An unseen river? It was a soothing sound that broke through the dreary quiet of winter. And then there was a splash. Where? It was impossible to pin point. A few more minutes passed and then a large, blue mudfish appeared. Quagsire were protected in this area and not permitted to be battled nor caught. It waddled across the path then turned to face Kit, tiny eyes unblinking. Then it gave a happy smile and unfolded its arms, dropping a bundle that it was carrying, as if to offer a gift to cheer her up. The quagsire then cheerfully waddled away. One of Cherrygrove's protected quagsire appears and gives you some round gifts! Kitamina Willow Kit and her team were just about to set out when a pokemon appeared. Kit readied herself, to this point, when wild pokemon had appeared they had attacked her. The blue pokemon, with it's easy going smile and blunt head waddled forward, pressing closer and closer into Kits personal space. There was a command, for her team to protect themselves, on the tip of her tongue when Kit remembered the warning she had been given. Back in the City, Kit had ran into a gentleman handing out flyers. The pokemon before Kit resembled the one that had been on those flyers. A Quagsire. The pokemon were protected in these parts. Kit was not allowed to attack the wild pokemon. How was Kit supposed to protect herself? Was she just supposed to run?
The Quagsire paused, only grin wider and open its arms. Into the fresh white snow plopped some items. Just as quickly as the Quagsire had appeared, it turned and ambled back off the way it had come. "Are these for me?" Kit called out after the wild Quagsire. The pokemon didn't reply and now Kit was beyong confused. "Did that Quagsire really just drop off a package like Santa?" Had that been Santa Quagsire? Kit had always thought that Santa was a human male, not a weird blue pokemon with a creepy smile. Kit frowned as she knelt to pick up the left items. She dusted the snow off of them before shoving them in her backpack. She was still kneeling in the snow when she exchanged wide eyed looks with her companions, they were just as confused as she was.

The drab day carried on with the same grey outline stretching across the heavens overhead. The thick stratus clouds coated the skies overhead so surely that not even the sun could quite break through to find its own place among the heaps. Soft flurries floated on the breeze. There wasn’t enough there to stick too much, but it was a warning of the vicious wintry months ahead. Something moved through the snow-covered grass. A touch of brown and cream hues darting between the golden blades. Small, beady black eyes stared with an enlarged, skittish gaze when they noticed the strange trainer collecting some items off the snow-covered ground. Was that the infamous trainers that legends foretold? Suddenly, the wild raccoon turned tail and yipped loudly. “HUMAN ALERT! SAVE THE CHILDREN! THEY’RE HERE FOR BLOOD!” Then it darted as fast as it could around a large boulder and hunkered down. It was safe here behind the boulder, right? The human didn’t see… right? No… how could she have seen or heard the very loud, and suddenly noticeable raccoon? Screaming its head off and running as fast as its feet could carry it? Though, should Kitamina investigate further, she’d find Zigzagoon pressing its back against the boulder while growling menacingly. “I specialize in destroying scary bloodthirsty monsters!” It bluffed warily. “So, I warn you. Stay back…please!” A Wild Zigzagoon appeared! Lv 10 in Drab weather (clear). What will Kitamina do? Shiny? StI3I2K1p_1-42Holding a Potion!1-42

Kitamina Willow Soft snow drifted down from the smoky sky, kissing Kit’s cheeks with their cold caress. Kit shivered, Winter had yet to fully settle in and lay the world to sleep but this day was a bitter one. Snow storms and maybe even blizzards would soon be upon them. Kit wore her trusty sweater, an oversized beast that usually kept her warm, but it would seem as though she would have to look for underlayers in the next city. If Kit did not make money soon, she would have to see if she could pick up an odd ball job. There were supposed to be other trainers on the road, willing to bet their last penny on a battle between partners, but Kit had yet to see one. Santa Quagsire offering her an assortment of free items had been an amazing surprise, but the odd ball items would not get the team very far.
Spearow shifted their position from where they sat atop Kit’s head, reminding her that they were still there. Kit was getting used to her partner perching up there. She was sure that her neck muscles had gotten stronger. Tyv refused to leave his make-shift nest, he was as stubborn as a mule. At least Kit did not have to worry about buying a hat and she was sure that his feathers were much warmer. A sudden, alarmed sound had Kit pausing in her stride. Was that a wild pokemon or a dying creature? Kit was not sure, since the call had been strangled and strange sounding. Not too far from the traveling party a small, furry creature darted through the snow slick, long dead grass. The pelt of the pokemon was staggered with black and cream colors and on closer inspections Kit found that the wild pokemon was absolutely adorable! “I am so sorry with what I am about to say.” Kit apologized ahead of time to her teammates. “But that pokemon is the cutest, most adorable, most huggable, most…” Kit inhailed deeply, trying to calm herself. She had learned about Zigzagoons in school and had always wished to have one on her team. “My gosh! My hopes and dreams!” Kit knew she was probably going off the deep end with her admiration but she just couldn’t help herself.
Growling most adorably, the wild Zigzagoon had backed itself up against a boulder. It’s spiky fur made it look bigger than it actually was and all Kit wanted to do was snuggle it up. Maybe shove it in her sweater pocket and never let it go. “Feara!” Kit called out to her Charmander, knowing that she would have to battle the wild pokemon first, so that she could then complete one of her childhood dreams. “Use Ember on that most adorable Pokemon!”
Feara grumbled under her breath, not impressed with her trainer. She was supposed to be the special one, she was Kit’s first pokemon after all. “You’re right!” Feara taunted the Zigzagoon who was clearly out of their element. “We are bloodthirsty and you’ll be our first victim!” Feara opened her mouth wide, out sprayed a stream of flames. “And your family will be next!” While Feara sent out her sparks of ember she saw out of the corner of her eye her trainer stepping forward. Kit threw a pokeball at the wild Zigzagoon, not even waiting for Feara to finish her attack. Feara growled low in her throat, hating the fact that she was helping her trainer catch the most adorable pokemon ever. . Words: 528
