Evelyn, a young and enthusiastic trainer, had just stepped out of the Pokemon lab where she was handed her first Pokemon, a charming Squirtle. The gentle breeze played with the tall grass surrounding her as she ventured along the route, excitement shining in her eyes. Despite Squirtle being a recent addition to her team, Evelyn was brimming with confidence and determination to take on any wild Pokemon that crossed her path. Curiosity and anticipation filled her heart as she pondered what surprises awaited her on this exhilarating journey ahead.

It was a quiet, frosting morning in New Bark. The air was crisp and clear and every warm breath made its own little cloud. Winter was drawing near and the crunchy, frozen dew that clung to the grass made that more evident with each passing day. The relentless, overbearing heat of the summer was pat, and now all waited with a silent anticipation of winter's pearly cloak. With every step, Evelyn would leave behind her a path through the thin film of frost, though come the next morning, there would be no trace was ever here. The little town of New Bark was sleepy in the manner that most small towns were. The beating heart was a block research building that denoted the lab of Professor Elm, where many young trainers obtained their first pokemon. There was laughter in the air as children, too young for school, ran around with bug nets, trying to swipe up the wriggling wurmples that had yet to form cocoons, the bright red worms hungry and stark as ripe apples against browning leaves and bare branches. Older children were no doubt in school or already ahead on the path towards Cherrygrove, dipping their toes into their pokemon journey with the cooler traveling weather. As Evelyn took it all in, there was a small outlier in what one could usually expect to see. Off by the trees that marked the path out of town was a little brown form, all fluff and mammalian squishiness. One would think it would be gathering up fruits and nuts to fatten itself up on before the first big freeze, but instead, it was...doing odd poses? Upon further investigation, Evelyn would see an older woman teaching a health and fitness class in a little clearing, her students mostly housewives and the elderly. They were practicing Tai Chi for balance and wellness, their yoga mats protecting bare feet from the frost. And this little sentret was mimicking them as best it could from a distance. Such a curious little creature! Though despite its natural curiosity, it would do to approach with caution. Wild pokemon were still wild. Many could get spooked and would attack out of self preservation, so it was best to not try to get too friendly without preparing for a battle or catching it with a ball first.

Evelyn's gaze fixed on the Sentret attempting to mimick the Tai Chi movements in the distance, prompting a gentle smile to surface on her lips. Contemplating whether to approach the endearing creature, she ultimately resolved to make her way over. "Hey, little guy. How are you doing?" she said warmly, making sure not to get too close.

The curious little creature was so focused on mimicking the humans that it didn't notice Evelyn until she was far too close for comfort. Its ears twitched and it whirled at the sound of her voice, the girl barely missing getting scratched by a hair. She had stayed just far enough way to not get herself papped in the face. The sentret's ears flattened and it looked around, uncertain how to proceed. Most of its kind were quite skittish and prone to fleeing, but this one... it had been studying the fine art of Tai-Chi. It knew some totally awesome human style fighting techniques! So it pushed up onto its tail with a loud chirp and started doing the fluid 'motions' it had seen...then... LUNGE! It aimed to smack the human right in the chest with a paw, having use its tail to propel itself forward. Eveyln best get out of the way!!!

Evelyn was taken aback by the sudden challenge but gathered her composure swiftly. "Well, if that's what you want," she responded with determination. With a swift movement, she reached for a PokeBall nestled securely in her belt and hurled it out into the field. "Go, Squirtle!" she exclaimed, her excitement palpable as her Squirtle emerged, ready for its first official battle. The little water-type Pokemon fixed its gaze intensely on the Sentret. "Use Water Gun!" Evelyn commanded.[OOC: I'd imagine this is probably what music would be playing in the background: www.youtube.com/watch?v=aWBtpBwzzdM]
