I can quite say I'm honestly surprised that no one's made a thread about this! I do have news for y'all who own it (and the Wii ya need to play it on). YOU CAN USE PLATINUM, HG AND SS GAME CARTRIDGES WITH IT Yep, you can use them! It just doesn't take into effect the Griseous Orb, Gracidea, and Rotom appliances that were introduced in Plat. I guess since the games have the same platform as D/P, PBR recognizes them and accepts the info for your Pokemon. I was battling all day with my HG Pokemon, so if you're bored with the game, just use your NEW game and make it fun ~ PBR is kinda crummy by the fact you can't really do anything besides battle. But it is amusing to watch Pokemon beat the crap out of each other rendered in 3D. xD

PBR is probably THE single handed game I can use as an example when I speak of a game being a mixed bag, a true 50% kinda game. I like battling a lot and the graphical effects and seeing the Pokemon in 3D are definite pluses for me but... That's it. End of the road, the variety to do much else is spectacularly limited. Hell, i'd even like a few mini games just to change the pace a little but nope. In Poketopia, IT'S ALL ABOUT THE BATTLES. DO THEY SLEEP? NO. DO THEY EAT? NO. DO THEY DO SOCIALISE? NO. THEY BATTLE UNTIL THEY CAN BATTLE NO MORE. I think it might have something to do with the fact i've been spoiled with how good the Stadium games were. It seems like a huge couple of steps backward in the regard that it doesn't seem as lovingly crafted... ... ... ...Still... Thanks for confirming the other carts work... I think I might... Just... Play a little of the game. *dashes off*

I myself like the game but wish it had mini games and a quiz like in stadium 2. That would make the game awesome in my opinion.

*points to siggy*
I own the game, too. My friend Rudy gave it to me since he described it as something like a "Battle Frontier expansion pack". He wasn't fond of it and gave it to me for free. I don't use it much either, but I AM making use of it for my own trainer card...

I totally agree, it's just those little additions which make it seem that more playable. Plus the fact is, a lot of PBR's music is a bit sub-par. Recycled mostly from the Colosseum games. Don't get me wrong though, Mysterial's is sublime. Listening to that... It's like some sort of extraordinary adventure coming to a close. "Battle Frontier expansion pack". *blinks* That is EXACTLY what it is! Grrr, no wonder i'm sure disillusioned with it. As for the sig... Updated it recently? ;D

Have you heard Sashay's theme, Joey? It's not bad either.
I think one of the most aggravating things about PBR is the Roulette Battle. How many times I shrieked in rage or sobbed my heart out... *shakes fist* But it makes a good time waster.

Sashay's is okay I guess but from what I remember I think I prefer the original of it that was found in Colosseum. S'not bad I guess. ;D
Roulette Battle is the one where you more often than not lose your Pokemon right? Yikes... I think I just about went in there at the end with nothing but Weedles and Kakunas just because of how much the AI seemed to love swapping me the CPU's really bad Pokes.

I have two rayquaza on my team so it becomes impossible to beat it when they do. I ought to try your method Joey.

It seems to work for the most part. Has anyone else noticed that sometimes when you're spinning for Pokemon on the roulette board that it just sort of ends up where it wants? As in, you can time it all you want down to perfection but the AI just kinda sniffs it's nose and dabs it on a crappy Pokemon? Even if that battle method is pretty annoying I absolutely love the stage its set in. Which brings me to another point, one good thing I liked about PBR was the design of some of the stages. Sunset Colosseum is quite simply beautiful.

I wonder if in the one lv 5 and under challenge after you beat the game if you can use the lv1 Dialga it would make it so easy. As for my favorite stadium I like the foggy castle one although the fog can mess up your battle strategy.

That wouldn't work unfortunately. The Lv.5 little cup tournament excludes all legendaries and non-evolving Pokemon. Which makes it all that nicer to be able to use Scyther for the tournament. While everyone's dashing around with Squirtles and Bidoofs, you can cut your way through their ranks. ;D As for fog... DON'T EVEN MENTION IT! I absolutely abhor how long some of the turns took just to deal a finishing blow. It was beyond ridiculous.

And that is why, Joey, Aerial Ace and Aura Sphere were invented. *dons cool looking shades* With a Lucario on my team I totally ripped Courtyard Colo a new one.

Meh, Aura Sphere is alright but none of the Pokemon I tend to use can learn it. I can't be bothered with those Aerial Ace variant moves. Sure you can land a hit okay but they're too low powered. It's a situational move which i'm not really going to be using all that much. Damn you Courtyard!

Thats funny about the fog thing but it sucks about Dialga I was really hoping to Pawn them with him and OHKO just about anything. At least I can raise a Scyther like you said and an Oxis and maybe even a few other good pokemon. I am so using Lucario in the fog part thought so I do not have the same problem most people do there. Thank you official guide.
