I was reading my latest issue of Nintendo Power and I came across an article that was talking about a game called Okamiden when is the sequel to Okami. Seeing as how the first game was one of my favorite games of all time I was incredibly happy to hear it is getting a sequel. In the article it mentioned it is going to be on the DS and it says the main character is related to Amy(The nickname of the first games heroine). Some sites have posted you play as her son which seems cool. I know it comes out in 2011 in the US but that is all I know for now. So seeing how popular the first game was I thought I would ask if anyone else here is excited about the sequel.Feel free to post your opinions.

When this was first announced I was pretty sceptical of the idea due to the graphical presentation but after seeing some screenshots I was pleasantly surprised. That along with stylus controls sounds like this game is going to be one to watch.
I've still got to give Okami a good and proper run through but it's definitely mesmerising in its art style.

I beat the PS2 Okami at least 20 times and I never got bored with it since it is an awesome games. Sadly no new news that I know of has been announced about Okamiden yet but I will definitely keep checking for updates since it looks like a must buy to me.

I know Capcom weren't around much during E3 so that's partly the reason as to why not much new info has been leaked on it but it is a bit puzzling. I am wondering if they're going to postpone it to the 3DS for improved visuals and effects. It could be pretty damned amazing.

I didn't believe people when they said there was a sequel to Okami coming out. Having recently been enraptured by its amazing soundtrack, I don't regret buying Okami one bit. ^^ I just miss having a PS2 to play it on right now...
Can't wait to see how Okamiden will be like.

I've always been a bit saddened over how overlooked the series is. Sure it's got very Japanese overtones to it but considering how HIP and COOL that is these days you'd think that would work to its selling point. Instead each version that's been released so far has been received with lacklustre sales. It's just a huge shame that while that game goes selling so poorly and some other BROWN AND BLOOM GENERIC SHOOTER gains like a million sales.

The fact it has very unique artwork and a rather compelling storyline with a heroine who doesn't have ginormous knockers should have it flyin' off the shelves, no? I saw it at the store one day and said; Oh cool, a game you play as a wolf.
It's all about who has the best graphics these days, and Okami isn't OMGSHINY enough for the gamer generation.
