Alena hurled herself forwards, coil after coil of her lean, sinuous body following to pack a hell of a punch. Her jaws dislocated, widening fractionally. Perhaps if she managed to get the fluffy beast head on, she could eat. Screw her trainer's wishes with whatever he wanted to do with the pink fluff, she would eat the stupid vermin and enjoy it.
With a huge, vindictive snake coming right for its face, the Skitty didn't exactly have much time to come up with some clever counter. Instead, it curled itself into a ball and rolled so that its tail was facing Alena, the yellow-tipped spikes puffed out and ready to hurt.
The Ekans' jaws clamped down on the Skitty, easily passing through its silky soft fur and puncturing skin. A sharp, though muted, yowl of pain was emitted by the balled up feline, but it puffed itself up again and made sure to pay Alena back. The purple snake hissed in displeasure as the spikes stabbed the roof of her mouth, and she reluctantly withdrew away from the cream and pink menace on the alley floor.
It unfurled itself immediately and sprang to its feet, its backside scored with two puncture marks from Alena's Bite. It growled, though the noise made it seem rather endearing, and then smiled sweetly. Alena's tail rattled rapidly at this sight, positive nothing good was about to happen.
The Skitty's mouth opened, and from it came a lullaby only Alena could understand. It enchanted the snake, whose head began to droop sleepily. This had to be the Skitty's Sing attack! Startled by the thought, Alena emitted a hellish, raspy hiss and glared malevolently at the puffball, who ceased singing with a squeak.
Thank goodness the attack had failed, or else Alena could have been at the Skitty's mercy, no matter how delicate and adorable it looked otherwise. Battle

[[OOC: I tried three times so far this morning, and this is the best I could come up with. D:]]
Andrew crossed his fingers that Alena would keep her cool. He needed her to stay calm enough to actually hit the target. Realising that shed done it, Andrew couldnt help a smile. But the fight was still only beginning. As he prepared for the worst, Skitty began to sing. Feeling a bit drowsy, Andrew quickly covered his ears, something that Alena wouldnt be able to do. As the startled Skitty stopped suddenly, Andrew was sure that the move had failed. Breathing a sigh of relief, he prepared for the next turn.
Good work, Alena! he praised, hoping to encourage the Ekans to obey him. We have to be careful! This Skitty is tougher than we had expected! Try to be quick. Now, use another Bite! he instructed. Andrew was flat out of ideas. Skitty was far too energetic to even attempt capturing for the moment. Sticking to offensive moves was his best bet, though this would be a slow process. If Alena was sent to sleep, things would only be worse.
The trainer studied his surroundings. The dark walls were plastered in graffiti and the place was covered in litter. The dumpster was practically full so people for starting to throw their rubbish anywhere. This appeared to be the roughest part of the city, at least from what Andrew could tell. Andrew cringed at the thought of getting mugged. Then it occurred to him that maybe Skittys previous owner was beaten up or stabbed. This setting was exactly like those that hed watched in movies. Remember, be quick.. Andrew whispered uneasily to Alena.
Alena ignored the quiver in her trainers voice, but obeyed his orders. She lunged at the Skitty, opening her mouth as wide as she possibly could. Shed had many terrible experiences while trying to engulf a Pokémon whole most recently chipping her tooth on Andrews Squirtle but nothing would put her off. Alenas eyes glistened as she drew nearer to the feline Pokémon. She could already nearly taste it.

With thoughts of revenge invading her mind, it was lucky the snake had even chosen to obey her trainer. While she fantasized about having him fry it up for her in a pan, or even just eating it whole, Alena was going to see that Skitty go down. And this was just enough fuel to get the Ekans to throw herself forwards at the cream and pink puffball.
The Skitty yelped, and attempted to curl itself into a ball again, but its reaction was just too slow; Alena's mouth closed around its left side and easily sank through the velvety soft fur. "Skiiii!" The feline let out a pained mewl, struggling to pull away from its antagonist.
Its tail began thrashing wildly, swatting the Ekans on the face to annoy it. With a vehement hiss she let go, mouth stained with a scarlet kiss. Her forked tongue shot out and licked it up, which threw a hungry gleam into her golden eyes.
But the Skitty had other plans and wasn't going to cower down. Ignoring the droplets of blood oozing from its side, it ran flat-out towards Alena and tackled her right in the neck.
Alena gaped as she was thrown back several feet, landing in a coiling pile at Andrew's feet. Her mouth opened and closed a few times as she fought to regain her breath, fixing her beady eyes on the panting pink pest standing just across from her, looking triumphant.
Even if it wasn't nearly at full strength, that Tackle had really hurt. Battle

[[OOC: *taps A at the star, hoping for flinch* xD]]
Alenas head was feeling rather heavy after that last hit. She had to blink a couple of times to repair the image that she saw in front of her. Stretching her body out again, the snake Pokémon jumped back into a fighting pose. Ignoring the bumps and scrapes she obtained over the duration of the battle, Alena readied herself for her trainers command. She was slowly knocking off her enemys hit points. She should soon overtake the Skitty in terms of health, providing all went well.
Andrew wasnt exactly sure how to react at first. Alena seemed to have done sufficient damage, but the miss had still cost her. Making that up, shouldnt be a problem but the snake would need to land every hit. Then, there was the possibility of a Critical Hit. It would be huge help if Alena could manage one, but if Skitty landed one then the Ekans would be in trouble. Right now, the two main things Andrew wanted to concentrate on were avoiding Skittys Sing and making it flinch. If he could do that, then he might get somewhere with this after all.
Alena stared up at her trainer to find him lost in thought. He seemed to have moved on from his fear of the alley, quickly. Now he seemed to be watching the Skitty. The snake hissed to remind him that he had yet to give her a command. Oh yeah, right! Alena, you know what to do! Use another Bite! Do your best to keep your cool, and things should work out just fine. Andrew advised, crossing his fingers behind his back. The Ekans nodded and paced her way forward.
Skitty was also preparing for its next move. Andrew had underestimated it, being a normal-type. It was a weakness of his to judge Pokémon by typing and looks. Skitty wasnt powerful, as such. It just had an annoying moveset for a beginner Pokémon. It had a fair variety of moves, which a lot of Andrews team hadnt. Even so, the cat Pokémon wasnt exactly one that Andrew could see himself carrying around with him. Even at that, hed find something to do with it. Anything would be better than leaving it here to eat out of the dumpster.
With another intimidating stare, Alena circled her foe. She took pleasure in drawing things out and terrorizing her enemies. Even if it made him feel slightly sadistic, Andrew sort of enjoyed her eccentric personality. Her cruel sense of humour was quite enjoyable, especially to see her foes reactions. Once she was satisfied, Alena sprang at her foe with her mouth wide open. Her fangs were still covered in blood from the previous assault.

The Skitty's head turned as it watched Alena's progress, the snake circling idly around it, not making a single move. It was enough to draw a sharp hiss of annoyance from the prim little feline, its fur puffing out in spots to make it appear more fierce. The Ekans' expression didn't change, and she merely kept circling.
She wasn't going to give it any forewarning for when she was going to strike, and drew out the inevitable for as long as she dared. Time ticked by slowly, and the Skitty grew more irritable. Now was the time to strike, before it struck first.
Alena had just completed a circuit and was around the back of the Skitty when she lunged forwards in a lick of purple lightning, her jaws agape.
Completely caught off guard, the Skitty yowled and thrashed about, her rear end stuck in Alena's immovable jaws. The snake tightened her grip, drawing out louder squeals and mewls of agony. Thanks to the element of surprise, the Skitty had instinctively flinched, barring it from attacking this turn.
With a raspy hiss Alena let go, watching the Skitty go bouncing away, its hind half scored with small, oozing puncture marks. The serpent felt nothing but a sadistic sort of glee at causing the feline harm - after all, she was returning the favor. She still hadn't quite gotten over the harsh Tackle it had given her the previous round. Battle

[[OOC: Score! Lets try that again. xD Im really starting to despise my own posts. -_-]]
A smug grin spread across Alenas face as she realised that shed once again taken the lead. There was always great satisfaction in making the foe flinch. The Ekans adored being in control, almost as much as she enjoyed snacking on her enemies. At last, she had past the half-way point of the battle. This was probably where things would begin to get rough. From her experience in previous battles, the last few moves could make all the difference.
Alena swayed from side to side as to keep in tune with the atmosphere. She brushed her body off the ground to bring herself back to Skittys level. Her golden eyes gazed impatiently at the cringing feline. The catlike Pokémons reaction reassured her that victory would be hers. Skitty was still in a state of shock from her ferocious Bite. It slowly became a little more stable, which suited the snake just fine. After all, what was a battle without a challenge? She wanted the pleasure of making her opponent flinch again.
Score! Do that again! Andrew beamed. The battles outcome finally seemed to be in his favour, though he seemed just a slight bit overconfident. He may have gotten a lucky strike in, but he failed to take into account that his Pokémon had previously missed its target. His optimistic point of view would hopefully hold out. In any case, it was better to trust in Alena for now. If things went, horribly, he always had backup.
Alena slid forward, approaching her vulnerable target. Skitty seemed to have snapped out of its state of shock, at last. Ekansss! the snakelike Pokémon hissed. She shifted closer and closer towards Skitty before she made an enormous pounce at it. Blocking out the rotten stench of garbage, Alena opened her mouth as wide as she could, revealing her blood-covered fangs.
Meanwhile, Andrew toddled to the other side of the alley. If things got rough, he may need to jump in with a Potion. The trainer moved at a steady pace until he had the perfect view of the battle. Realising that the Pokémon could be thrown around, he decided to take a couple of steps backwards until he felt his body pressed up against the alleys wall. As the items in his bag began to stick into his back, he decided to take it off. Not only was it more comfortable, but it would be helpful to have it at hand in case he needed something fast.

Skitty hissed and growled and did everything it could to try and scare off Alena. But the snake was tougher than diamonds, and was relishing in the feeble attempts to outdo it in the fear department.
Her jaws were spread wide as she lunged with a drawn out hiss, crimson fangs bared in a menacing way. The Skitty squealed and curled up into a ball, finally fast enough to avoid the brunt blow it would have received otherwise.
Alena's fangs sank in its side again, the already wounded side, and caused the serpent to grin devilishly as she felt the pink fluffball vibrate with a suppressed cry of agony.
But then it stopped, and this puzzled, and enraged, the Ekans. With a low hiss she drew back, slapping the pink ball with the end of her rattling tail, rolling it back a few feet. It unfurled slowly, revealing a very disturbing look on the Skitty's face. Perhaps it had finally lost it.
Its mouth curved into a smile as it opened, and it sang Alena a haunting melody that had her swaying sleepily again. But this time the feline was able to keep it up continuously, lulling the Ekans to sleep.
With a tired, content sounding sigh, Alena lay her head down on the alley floor and promptly dozed off. The Skitty stopped singing and grinned wickedly at its opponent, who was now at its wrathful mercy. Battle

The battle had finally taken a major turn. Skitty was after falling so far behind that it was unlikely that it would catch up under normal circumstances. Andrew grinned as Alena landed another impressive attack on her foe. Just as Andrew thought he had the feline bagged, it began to sing. Oh crap, no!Andrew whined as he began to feel drowsy. He pressed the palms of his hands over his ears as he watched Alena helplessly drop to the ground in front of him.
Great... he muttered, staring resentfully at the Skitty. He hadnt counted on Alena being put to sleep. After wasting half a minute searching through his bag, Andrew breathed a sigh of relief as he found was hed been looking for. Grasping a Full Heal, Andrew hurried over to Alena and sprayed her with it to wake her up. He hesitated for a second, wanting so badly to try a kick, but he was afraid that he might do damage to her hit points. Alena, wake up and finish up with another Bite attack! he said through his teeth.
Ekaanss.. Alena mumbled, before snapping back to her old self. Shaking her head, to wake herself completely, the snake turned to her trainer and nodded. Next, she spun around to face Skitty, hoping to wipe the smug look off of its face. Alena slithered closer to her foe, revealing her teeth once again. Skitty was obviously getting tired at this stage. Its health had dropped below a quarter of what it had been. Hopefully, this would be the move that made all the difference.
Skitty, though it had a few tricks up its sleeve, seemed to be getting a bit worried now. Alena had almost double its hit points and was so far getting in her attacks first. Not to mention, Skittys attack that had already been lowered. Without a trainer, it had little to fall back on. While Andrew could keep restoring Alenas health points, the poor catlike Pokémon was screwed once it became weak.
Even though Skitty was bound to get an extra move in, Andrew had a good feeling about this. With one more hit, it would be ready for capture. Andrew zipped up the pockets on his bag and shoved everything back into it, in an untidy manor. Before he closed the last pocket, he pulled out the final item that would be needed in this battle. He clutched the item, a PokéBall, in his hand and readied it behind his back. Soon hed be able to leave this horrible place. He wasnt going to be able to withstand the smell any longer.

As Andrew panicked over Alena's sudden nap, the Skitty took off at a run, bearing down on the slumbering serpent before she was roused and could torment the poor Normal type any further. And then the trainer bent down, spraying her with something that caused Alena to stir.
"SKIIITYY!" it cried in rage, not willing to lose its advantage over its quarry. Just as Alena picked herself up, the Skitty tackled her right under the chin and knocked her backwards.
Alena hissed vehemently, thrashing about before regaining her balance and composure. She had the upper hand in mostly everything regarding this battle, and she was not about to let some furball toss her around. Jaws opening wide, the snake struck out like a flash of lightning.
The Skitty yowled as it had yowled before, sent rolling by the sudden blow. It was nothing like the painful biting and holding Alena had inflicted upon it before. The Ekans had simply struck out and returned back.
It struggled to its feet, determination wavering on its face, . The yearning fight to battle was weaning, and coupled with the wounds it had received, it was safe to say that all the fight had fled. Perhaps it was merely the fact that this Bite had caused it to flinch, but that was not the case.
Instead of coming in again with a second attack, the feline crumpled. It lay on the ground, panting weakly, and unable, or unwilling, to return fire.
A satisfied hiss escaped Alena, and she turned back to her master, waiting for any further orders. Perhaps now she could finally eat the pink tuft of fur. Battle

[[OOC: Sorry, Dani. I ran out of time. Could you award yourself with a mod point, please. I don't have time to post in the thread. You can link to here if you need to.]]
Andrews heart began to race as he watched Skitty charge towards Alena. The snake had been delayed by the spray of medicine that had woken her and Skitty had slipped an extra attack in. However, that all began to change as Alena chomped at Skitty for one last time. The catlike Pokémon was knocked over, and Andrew decided that it wasnt going to be able to take anymore.
Skitty seemed far too weak to carry on with the fight. It lay helplessly on the ground, much to Alenas delight. The Ekans faced Andrew, wondering how he planned to end this. As she spotted the Poké Ball clenched tighly in his hand, she was far from impressed. Ek..ans.. She began to shake her head, hoping to persuade her master otherwise, but Andrew had already made his decision.
Okay! Alena, thats enough. Good job! Its finally time.Andrew announced, readying the red sphere in his hand. Taking three steps forward, the trainer swung his arm backwards. As he brought the same arm forward with extreme force, he released his grip on the item. Dont let me down! he yelled, opting not to go for his usual cheesy line.
Both Andrew and Alena watched as the empty Poké Ball sailed towards the wild Skitty. Even though the foe was weak, Andrew was feeling the usual tension. Alena was more relaxed about the situation though slightly ticked off with her trainers decision. The Poké Ball finally began to open as it approached the wild Skitty. A dark pink light emerged from the orb, consuming the Pokémon that Andrew wished to capture. All there was left to do now was wait.

Oh well, perhaps she could instigate a dispute between the Skitty and Andrew, and get permission to eat it. Her golden eyes watched resentfully as the red and white sphere went spinning end over end towards the down and out pink feline.
Springing open, the ball sent out a light that enveloped the barely-conscious cat, sucking it into the center of the ball. It dropped to the ground with a thunk, and began to wobble.
Alena stirred faintly, shifting her body and preparing to lunge for the ball should the Skitty break loose and need some more reasons to stay in it. But she was not needed, as the ball's wobbling grew feebler and feebler until...

As the Poké Ball froze and clicked faintly, Andrew knew it was good news. He felt proud of himself for rescuing the feline from a life of poverty. At least now, he could trust that the Skitty would have a proper trainer who would treat her well. Hed surely be able to find someone who would want to take the Pokémon off his hands. Andrew quickly swiped the Poké Ball, terrified that Alena might swallow it.
The Ekans frowned, disappointed with the outcome of the battle. She hadnt even gotten a reward. Great work, Alena. We can finally get out of this place. Andrew cheered unaware that his Ekans was actually resenting him. He packed up what was left of his things scanned the area to make sure there was nothing left to collect. Once he was sure he had no further business in the alley, he quickly scurried off. Come on Alena! Dont get left behind!
The snakelike Pokémon rolled her eyes and began to slither after her trainer. This new upbeat personality was really irritating and would hopefully end soon. The Ekans wondered if her trainer had some sort of personality disorder as shed seen multiple sides of him in a matter of hours. As the two roamed down the streets, Andrew studied his map again. He was already after encountering most of the Pokémon that he wanted to see in the city, but a few more couldnt hurt. He was still hoping to find a Mareep which hed always dreamed of catching. However, he wasnt going to budge from the streets until he encountered a Pichu.
There was so much to see in Cherrygrove the busy shops containing everything that trainer could want; the lesser known stores with killer offers; the wide selection of Pokémon; and the trainers who were just eager for a battle. Even with this, Andrew couldnt help but feel he was falling behind. While hed been busy with battles, hed seen many trainers dash through the town, without doing much at all. Hopefully, his work would all pay off in the long run. While he was taking steps, his Poké Radar was charging up. With this, hed easily encounter his desired Pokémon eventually. For now, hed just have to go along with whatever he got, be it trainer or Pokémon.
Skitty Name: Nazeli Gender: Female Level: 10 Attacks: Fake Out, Tackle, Sing, Attract Ability: Cute Charm Nature: Impish Personality: Nazeli was born to be a troublemaker. She enjoys winding up others and gets a thrill from their reactions. Although she can be overly annoying, her innocent appearance makes her difficult to be angry with. Even though shes usually in the height of trouble, Nazeli manages to keep a well-groomed appearance. That being said, shell often stray from the group and will manage to cause some sort of problem for those around her.

((Got it ~))
As Andrew and his aggressive little Alena continued through Cherrygrove, they passed by all sorts of stores. An ice cream parlour here, a furniture store there, and, of course, lots and lots of clothing shops.
But as they drew close to an electronics store, they could hear distressed yelling coming from the open door. A group of people had clustered by the store-front window, all clamouring to find out just what the problem was. The sign atop the store proclaimed it as:
Hayden's Junk Box
Displayed in the large window was a few flat-screen televisions, and a couple of expensive-looking PDA devices. But that was not what the group was interested in. A young woman laden with a multitude of shopping bags shrieked as she saw Alena and her trainer slithering on up, and quickly bolted across the street to escape the Ekans.
Hearing her shriek, several people looked around and spotted Alena as well. And following suit, despite their curiosity, they all ran from the store. Alena hissed under her breath at the stupidity of humans.
One teenage girl with silky black hair streaked with turquoise and lavender smiled and bent down to pet Alena on the head. The Ekans hissed contentedly and butted her head against the girl's palm. The girl was dressed in a black and gray striped top and worn-looking jeans.
A lazy chuckle fell from the girl's lips. "Nice Ekans, dude. Looks strong too. Name's Rae," she offered, standing up to full height. With one hand, Rae gestured to the window of the electronics store. "It looks like the owner's having some trouble with Electric type Pokémon messing with their inventory."
Just then, a frazzled employee stumbled out. It was a woman in her late 30s with curly brown hair straggled across her sweaty face. She gasped, and then peered at the two people in front of the store, completely ignoring Alena's presence.
Her name tag proclaimed her name as, Hayden, Owner. She looked imploringly at Andrew first, and stumbled towards him, hands clasped together. "Oh, please trainer! I can't take these wretched Pokémon anymore! Every day they come in, ruining my stock and driving away customers! Please help me chase them out!" Hayden pleaded.
Rae peered at the woman with a concerned expression. "I'll help too," she offered, drawing a Poké Ball from her jeans pocket. The young girl smiled mischievously at Andrew. "See you inside," she said with a wave, strolling inside.
Alena watched this and then turned to her trainer, wondering if he would help out this distressed woman. Then she disregarded the thought and slithered on inside.
As she weaved through the aisles, she heard the sounds of a scuffle occurring. Upping her pace, the Ekans emerged in the heart of the store and stared around. Shelves lay knocked over on the ground, all sorts of electronics spilling out. None seemed broken, but none seemed to be working either, thanks to the two Pokémon in the middle of the mayhem.
A Magnemite hovered lazily in the air, its magnets twirling and sparking with electricity. On the ground, standing beside it, was a small but hyperactive Pichu. It was making most of the noise, trying to shock a small purple Pokémon covered in spikes.
"Nido...." it growled, knocking the Pichu away and into a shelf, causing the shelf to teeter dangerously. The Magnemite made an angry noise and whirled its magnets faster.
Rae stood behind the Nidoran M, and stared down at Alena as she approached with languid movements. "So you and your trainer are gonna help? Great!" the girl enthused, turning back to the two Electric types ready to wreak some havoc.
A wild Magnemite (Level 9) and a wild Pichu (Level 7) have challenged you to a battle!
Trainer Rae would like to join you in a double battle! Trainer Rae will use her Nidoran M (Level 9)!

[[OOC: Ooh, this looks like fun! Thanks Dani. :3 Same deal again with the mod points. I hate using my phone to do things. D: I couldn’t give you extra yesterday because 24 hours hadn’t passed. -_-]]
Andrew glanced around the city to make sure he wasn’t making a mistake leaving before he’d even checked what facilities Cherrygrove had. Nothing was of that much interest to him, as clothes and furniture weren’t his priority at the moment. Just as he was about to give up and continue on his search for a Pichu, Andrew noticed a small crowd that was gradually becoming larger. Perhaps there had been a robbery or a fight? Maybe it was just a great battle.
As soon as he heard yelling, Andrew gave in to curiousity. The electronics store was having some sort of problem. He had planned not to get majorly involved, but Alena had her own plans. The Ekans quickly scared off the crowd, giving Andrew full view of what was going on. As he followed his Ekans, a girl began to speak to him. “Oh, thank you. Nice to meet you. I’m Andrew.” Andrew replied, politely. Before he could answer her for the second time, a stressed employee staggered outside and began to beg for help. “Sure, I’ll see what I can do.” Andrew replied, as a Pichu caught his eye.
Andrew’s attitude quickly changed and he rushed inside after Rae and Alena. This was just what he need. “Okay, Rae. Looks like we’re a team then.” Andrew smiled. Andrew couldn’t help but feel slightly nervous at the same time. He needed to do this in order to capture that Pichu, but the Magnemite would be difficult to take down. Alena wasn’t budging –this battle was hers.
The biggest problem was that since Rokuro had been deposited into the PC, Andrew now had no Pokémon that could do decent damage to the magnet Pokémon. In fact, both he and Rae for using Poison-types which Magnemite were immune to. Then it occurred to him that Rae’s Nidoran♂ possibly knew a Fighting-type move. He’d have to hope for the best because otherwise he would really be in trouble.
Alena seemed pretty excited to be involved in this battle. She seemed to be pretty pumped about teaming up, much to Andrew’s surprise. She showed no interest in devouring Nidoran♂, though perhaps this was due to the fact that they were both Poison-types. The Ekans had her eye on the same Pokémon as her trainer. The Pichu made her mouth water as she watched it run around, hyperactively. The Ekans had always loved when her food put up a fight.
“Alena, we’d better get this started! Start by using a Glare on the Pichu! Remember, it’s Static will probably end up paralysing you, so we’ve got to do the same back to it!” Andrew ordered. His Ekans seemed slightly uncomfortable at the thought of becoming paralysed for an entire battle, but she wasn’t about to back down. Andrew turned to Rae to see how she’d handle this. Hopefully, his partner had some knowledge of battling. The last thing he wanted was to be stuck with someone that he’d have to end up saving in the end.

& Double Battle with Rae
Rae smiled as Andrew hurried on in after his Ekans and agreed to team up. She and her faithful Nidoran♂, Volon, would gladly take on the Magnemite that seemed to be enraged over the two humans coming in to crash its party. And by the look in Alena's eyes, she wanted to gulp up the little Pichu since she had been denied her earlier meal.
She hissed softly, glaring at both Pokémon malevolently. They drew back, feeling the effects of her intimidation.
The girl chuckled at the Ekans' behaviour and then faced the Magnemite squarely, pointing at it. "Volon, let's kick things off with a nice Leer!" she told the little Poison type, who squealed in response. Going for its defenses would make his attacks hit harder, and was no act of novice batting on her part.
"Nidooo!" he cried again, hopping forwards to approach the still annoyed magnet Pokémon, puffing himself up as he did so. And then he locked eyes, or rather, eye, with the Magnemite and glared evilly at it, causing the Steel and Electric type to shrink back out of intimidation.
Next up came Alena, who slithered close to the Pichu she was now targeting in her cross hairs. She rose up halfway, staring down at the rodent, who was bouncing up and down on its feet.
It cringed away from her as she captured its gaze, eyes glowing a sudden and fierce gold, brighter than the usual color, and struck the Pichu through with fear. The little rodent trembled, its frightened state holding it frozen in place. Alena drew back, looking pleased; she'd be escaping this round with nary a wound.
Or so she thought.
Despite having been chosen as Volon's punching bag, the Magnemite swung round to face Alena, looking even more annoyed than earlier. Perhaps it was due to the fact its partner was now paralyzed and unable to move.
Its magnets began to spin rapidly, churning electricity between them and powering the little Pokémon up. Without further hesitation it launched the Thundershock at Alena, shocking the serpent hard enough to land a critical hit! ((sorry, RNG gave it to me :x))
Alena let out a terrible hiss of fury and pain as the electricity coursed through her body, and didn't let up even as the attack faded away. Her continual hissing almost sounded like the white noise of a television, which was amusing, given their current surroundings.
Andrew's partner blew out a low whistle. "She's got a right nasty temper, she does," Rae commented, appraising the furious snake appreciatively. Double Battle
