Name: Briar Cane Gray
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Trainer Type:
Trainer/Coordinator
Hometown:
Fallarbor Town, Hoenn
Appearance:
Perhaps exceedingly average, Brair doesn't have the least bit of outstanding detail when it comes to the physical. Her short blond hair with blue eyes give her an Aryan look, though people do seem to lean towards the image of the bleach blonde tramps. Briar is far from athletic, tan, busty, or bleach blonde. While no blemishes accessorized her face, she is still not the most exceedingly beautiful. She is of medium build and pale complexion, which might be the most exotic feature about her. She wears no make up, even on special occasions, partly due to the large amount of time it seems to take up.
Brair does not lack a fashion sense, though it can be a bit outlandish, even for today's styles. Generally, she can be seen wearing jean khakis that tatter at the end with black, high heeled hiking boots underneath that, in reality, end over her knees are kept together with dark gray string. A simple pale green sweater serves as her top, effectively keeping her warm when it is cold out. Underneath this is a gray tank top and she will remove said sweater if situations get to heated. In colder climates, she wears a thick, woolen red and black stripped scarf. On any occasion, she can be seen with a dark red gypsy like sash she uses as a belt.
Personality:
Unlike others of the female variety, Briar is not very emotional. She keeps most of her emotions bottled up inside, and almost nothing leaks to the surface in the company of others. Due to this lack of use of her emotions, often when she does feel an emotion, she is unsure of how to proceed, or unsure of what exactly it is. Because of this, she is reclusive and secretive, guarding her heart and home with ice cold fangs. She has major trust issues, finding even the small task of leaving her house with her parents, when she sets out on her journey, highly stressful. Due to this, she is constantly taking panic attack pills.
The only emotion she knows very well is fear, and all other extremes of it. When confronted with something that would normally merely shock a person, she can go into an all out panic attack. She lives in constant fear of every surprise, and it came as a shock when she took up the path of a trainer. The only reason she's doing so is because her therapist said that the company of Pokemon had been shown to help in patients. Brair is not one to stick with things once they get difficult, so it's likely that she'll just quit if she doesn't believe she can do it.
When it comes to those of the opposite sex, Briar is inexperienced in every field, and not looking to become in expert. She finds the male species at this age to be nothing more than detestable little rodents underneath her foot. She is far too mature to fall for a high school, not matter how good the looks. In case you haven't guessed, Briar is intelligent and much more mature than normal girls her age. She is a heavy book worm, though most of the information she reads is not retained. She finds comfort in her books and keeps one around her at all times. They can calm her down if she feels a panic attack coming on, and she prefers this method over the pills that she was prescribed, though it is not full proof and she still has to rely on the pills at times.
History:
Her mother was born and raised in Fallarbor Town, just an average girl who fell into an average job, got married to an average man, had an average marriage, and then an average kid. Because Brair wasn't exceptionally beautiful or cute, her mother then took on the challenge of taming a child's wild spirit, saying that if she couldn't have a beautiful daughter, she'd have a well behaved one. Well, she got one alright. After harsh scoldings and multiple groundings, Brair quickly learned that emotions were not to be expressed. From there, her mother taught her manners, proper etiquette for formal dinners, and even how to greet ambassadors from foreign countries. Brair grew up in a boring routine. Wake up, eat breakfast, go to school, come home, do homework, eat dinner, go to bed.
It was around nine that she began to develop trust issues. All of her family, including Brair herself insist that they don't understand why, though her therapist has suspicions that it might have something to do with the fact that her mother would often abandon her at dinner parties, the grocery store, or even the playground. From there they got progressively worse, shattering her mother's dreams of having a normal daughter. And though her parents payed for it, they gave up on her and left her to her own devices. She never had a close bond with either of them, though she did slowly begin to resent her mother.
Goals:
No longer rely on pills to take care of her panic attacks
To relax to the point will she no longer have panic attacks
Other Info:
-Doesn't honestly care much about Pokemon
-She has very good self control
