Inhaling deeply once more, Tamonten forced himself to create a bigger wave of froth which dripped out of his mouth to make him look somewhat like a rabid turtle as a bypassing lady quickly pulled her inquisitive child away from the attacking Squirtle. "Squirrrrrrtttt---" He growled through his mouthful of Bubbles before locking his sights on the sinuous snake which was swaying back and forth in a hypnotic manner. There was a devious look in its eyes as it grinned at him, daring him to take his shot and the shellback faltered for a second as the swaying threw off his aim considerably. " SQUIRTLE!" He roared, spraying the foam in a huge blast out of his mouth so that he resembled a frothing fountain. The Ekans, spotting his attack quickly tried to dodge it---the bubbles missed its face but clipped part of its body, doing much less damage than it did in the first turn! The look of disappointment on Tamonten's face was quickly replaced by alarm as ha saw the flying shards of Poison Sting flying his way like little, needle-sharp torpedoes. He quickly tried to turn around to use his shell as a defense---several of the stings bounced off his back harmlessly but three buried themselves deep in his upper arm as he hissed at the pain and the poison that was slowly beginning to course through his system.... "Kip! Mukipppp!" Yoshie called to him worriedly as she saw him stagger unsteadily from the attack. The Pidgey high up in the canopy tilted her head at the on-goings far below before disappearing into her hollow for a moment; The next, she had emerged with a large, fleshy Pecha Berry which she dropped to the ground right next to Misty before flapping her wings insistently and pointing her beak towards the Squirtle... | EKANS Lvl 5 Health; 50% Status; Normal

Misty gasped surprised when the bubbles missed the target. I need to practice a bit more with Tamonten... It's reckless of me to pretend that he's got full control over his abilities yet..
Misty wasn't happy when the Ekans succeeded to poison her Squirtle. She was so focused on the battle, she hardly noticed the pigdey, intill the bird started to flap her wings. She jumped up in surprise when the Pecha Berry fell in front of her.
But she understood the hint! She picked up the Pecha Berry, and said: "Tamonten! " Her squirtle looked at her. "Here! Eat this, quick!" She hated to see her Pokemon get poisoned. "Thank you pigdey! You're great!"
Misty didn't notice Yoshie being worried. She hoped the berry would heal him, letting him weaken the Ekans even more!
She knew she had to wait for Tamonten to eat the berry, and until Ekans attacked, before she could let Edmonton attack again. The berry had to take effect too, so it would be a good idea to skip a turn.

Tamonten, spotting the berry being tossed his way grunted and bore the pain as he leapt up to catch it in a hand before stuffing it whole in his mouth. As he devoured the treat, he felt the effects of the poison slowly fade away even as a wave of nausea suddenly assailed him--one he managed to hold back as he straightened himself up and spotted the Ekans firing even more Poison Stings his way. Gritting his teeth, he ducked the shots, not meaning to put himself into the same predicament twice as the snake hissed in outrage. Yoshie clapped her paws encouragingly as the Pidgey chicks high above were peeking out of their little enclave to see the commotion going on ground level. "Squirtle!" Tamonten snarled and took on a defensive stance, ready to fight back when he found himself staring dead into the Ekans' dangerously hypnotic gaze; The serpent had gambled and used Leer on him once more in his missed turn as the shellback shook his head furiously, trying to push away the effects of the sharp glare which sent shivers down his spine. As he tottered back towards Misty, he saluted her and looked resolute to finish his job as he awaited her next orders.... | EKANS Lvl 5 Health; 50% Status; Normal

Misty grasped for breath when the Ekans used Leer once more. This Ekans seemed to be planning to lower his defense until he could hardly defend any more!
Unfortunately for the Ekans, Misty knew just what would beat up the Ekans's plan. One of Tamonten's famous bone-cracking tackles! He had beat a chicorita with it, so this opponent should be a piece of cake!
"Tamonten! Use Tackle!"
Misty wasn't going to let this Ekanse slip out of her fighers... She was quite busy forming her team, and she was proud of it. Her Pokemon just kept growing stronger and stronger, and it wasn't going to take long now, until her sister would be unable to defeat her. Not that her sister were strong to begin with. But her ultimate goal is; become the Cerulean city Gym leader!

Tackle. Right. Tamonten thought the strategy over in his head and it seemed like she had something going--for one, his long-range attacks were still hard to direct...but a physical one had no room for error! "Squirtle!" He barked confidently as he quickly spun around and stood his ground while watching the Ekans sway around playfully, still attempting to throw off his aim. A ruse eh? Two could play at that game. Decided to 'indulge' the serpent's game, he pretended to inhale a lot of air as though he was going to attempt another Bubble attack. The moment he saw that wide, shit-eating grin on the snake's face and its hackles began to relax, he knew that it had let its guard down in anticipation of a wrong attack. He tossed a wink from behind his shoulder to Yoshie, as though saying 'Watch this, babe!' before breaking into a speedy run, aiming straight for the snake. it took five seconds for the Ekans to realize just what the hell he was playing at and by then he was already halfway across the battlefield. "Ekannsssssss!" The snake hissed, shocked at the change of tactics as it faltered and stumbled over itself in its haste to avoid the head-on attack. --[BRUTALITY]-- A loud WHAMMM!!!! was proof enough that it didn't as the long, sinuous body flew several feet in the air to ricochet off the bark of a large Oak tree like a wonky pinball. The snake dropped to the roots of the massive trunk, hissing and sputtering in outraged as it swayed and flopped around dizzily with large patches of what was obviously heavy internal bruising all over its midsection. "Squirtle Squirt!" Tamonten crowed triumphantly as he struck a random strongman pose while the Mudkip giggled behind his back. He was feeling better than ever despite his health being chipped at, but as he saw the livid glare in the serpent's eyes, he knew that this wasn't the best of times to be celebrating yet. Another shower of Poison Sting flew his way as he grit his teeth resolutely and ducked several of the shots while a couple more plinked harmlessly off his shell. Three stabbed him in the face, sending shockwaves of pain flooding through his nerves, but having faced this attack before he quickly reacted by plucking the atrocious things out before any poison could seep into his bloodstream once more. With that he spat a little on the ground and shot a stare at Misty while waiting for her next orders, of which he hoped would end the battle decisively... | EKANS Lvl 5 Health; 20% Status; Normal

She saw Tamonten's attack strike the ekans. She smiled, as she saw Tamonten beauty. He grew more and more, his strength was amazing! Even for a young Pokemon such as squirtle, it was quite amazing to see. Yoshie was exited, and kept cheering for her pal. But, just like Tamonten, Waras, and the ekans, they were all injured.
Misty yelled when Tamonten stuck the Ekans. The Pokemon was now weakened, and ready to be captured!
"Ready Ekans? I'm going to catch you!" Misty threw out her poke ball, letting it fly to wards the injured ekans.

The badly-injured serpent, dazed as it was still wasn't lucid enough to not know what the female trainer with the bright-russet hair was tossing its way. It had seen that small ball do strange things to other Pokemon, more specifically making them disappear and re-appear as the trainer's 'battle summon'. An idea the Ekans was not at all fond of. It let out a loud hiss of disdain as it tried to quickly slither away from the battlefield, but Tamonten upon realizing that it was attempting to escaped quickly dashed forward and grabbed it by the tail before pulling it backwards with every bit of strength he had left in him. "Squirt- TTTLE!!" The shellback growled, straining under his effort to contain the struggling snake as the ball finally landed next to them. Its internal mechanism seemed to recognize Tamonten as already having been under a Pokeball of his own---the Ekans however was unmarked, and as such, fair game. A shaft of red light burst out of it, swiftly engulfing the Ekans which let out one last hiss of anger before it was dragged towards the sphere and disappeared with the light into the small confines. Tamonten grinned even as he was worn out from his exertion as he prodded the violently-shaking Pokeball which only became still after a whole minute. Satisfied that the sinuous reptile was captured, he smirked and picked the ball up, lobbing it from hand to hand before striding to Misty's side with his chest proudly stuck out and handing the prize over to her --[FRIENDSHIP]-- Ekans was caught!Please fill out the form below with information pertaining to your new Pokemon! EkansName: Ekans Gender: female Level: 5 Attacks: Wrap, Leer, Poison Sting Nature/Personality: brave ___________________________ Misty smiled and suddenly realized, that she did it. She started to jump up and down, excited with her Pokemon. "Excellent work Tamonten!" And picked up her squirlte, dancing around with him. Yoshie jumped around them, happy for everyone. Misty smiled, put Tamonten down, and let the poke ball slip into her bag. She blinked at the 2 excited Pokemon. "Let's go trade Ekans for Finneon!". Misty started to run, followed by her 2 comrades. Tamonten had some problems with following, he kept tripping over his own feet. Yoshie had to help him keep up with his trainer. When she arrived at the trader building, they where all gasping for breath, with red cheeks. --moments later-- Misty came out, holding a poke ball, and followed by her 2 trusty companions, Tamonten, and Yoshie. They where no longer gasping for breath, but they were still red. Misty happily walked the streets. She had done well for one day! 2 new Pokemon caught, and one awesome trade! Yoshie and Tamonten were stronger, but tiered. Misty smiled to them, and said: "It's time to go find a pokemoncenter isn't it?" Everyone was tiered, and tommorow was a new day! Misty walked the streets, trying to find the pokemoncenter. ********************** {oooc: sorry it took so long! this can be followed by a random post- either nurse joy in the pokemoncenter, or a wild Pokemon that gets into her way I don't know if you guys do that kind of stuff, It just kinda "Misty is going to the pokemoncenter"}

[[Awesome. Setting you up for your first Rocket battle soon ]] Evening, and the hustle and bustle of Cherrygrove's Pokemon Center showed no signs of dwindling just yet. Trainers and their Pokemon were loitering around any available corner as a few of them spoke in hushed tones while tending to their injured companions. Most of the young animals bore varying degrees of injuries, from light cases such as that of a grumpy Skitty which bore several shallow gashes on his face to those more serious like the mangled, burnt Ivysaur laying helpless on a nearby stretcher while several paramedics tried to work over her broken spine which left her completely paralyzed from waist-down. The trainer, a strapping young man in a heavy overcoat looked unsure of what the future held for him and his comrade the moment it was let known that the condition might be permanent. Still worse was one mostly empty room far in the back labeled 'Critical Care' of which not a soul other than authorized personnel were allowed. Tamonten didn't know what 'Critical Care' meant, but he was certain that it wasn't too good, for the place had the tell-tale scent of death. He shuddered slightly as he tore his gaze away from the simple white doors which swung open for a moment so doctors could rush out a stretcher bearing a Meowth, nearly dead from blood loss and missing most of his bottom jaw and a paw which looked to have been torn off in a particularly vicious fight. Their footsteps disappeared down a hall and the Squirtle's attention was immediately draw back to the sudden sharp pain assailing his arm where the Poison Stings had found their mark. "Squirrrrrtle!" he yelped sorely and wriggled in discomfort as the spines were removed and droplets of blood became little rivers which flowed freely down his bicep. The 'iodine' or whatever it was this gruff doctor was applying stung as well and he felt rather snappish at the moment. Still, these humans were trying to help. "Don't struggle so much. You'll make it worse.." grumbled the doctor, a grizzled veteran sort with stress lines over his head, crow's feet at the corner of his eyes and a head of salt-and-pepper hair. He dropped the spines which he held between a pair of tweezers into a kidney dish as he cleaned up the wounds and covered them with fresh gauze before moving to Tamonten's thigh. The Squirtle harrumphed disdainfully and crossed his arms as he ruefully allowed the doctor to work on him. Yoshie who was sitting next to him on the table nudged him in a gently scolding manner as she nodded appreciatively at the doctor's efforts Nurse Joy hovered over the proceedings and offered the turtle an encouraging little smile before she turned to face the Misty. "You were lucky the poison didn't spread too far. He'll be fine, but we're preparing for some antibiotics just in case of infection. Ekans venom is rather a hassle to deal with---normally I tend to look over these cases myself, but we have an expert on board, Dr.Chase, just as a precaution." " SQUIRT!!" Tamonten yelped again as he felt a small needle pierce through the skin of his arm as he jerked up from the shock so his skull accidentally collided with the doctor's chin, making the man's glasses clatter to the floor. "Ow! Jesus!" came the involuntary cry as the man felt his jaw ache and went down on his knees to search for his glasses. Upon finding them after several moments of grappling around on the floor, he placed them back on and stood up, casually dusting himself before noticing that the syringe was still firmly attached to the highly-uncomfortable Squirtle's arm, removed it with a swipe of the hand. With that, Tamonten let out a sigh of relief and grinned for the first time since he set foot in this center as he got to his feet and hopped down to test how well his leg was feeling. "That should do it. He's clear to go." The doctor said curtly, thumping the Squirtle on the shell as he snapped off his surgical gloves and tossed them into a nearby wastebasket. His gaze met Misty's and he narrowed his eyes, staring at her for a few seconds before tapping his stubbled chin thoughtfully. "Now me being from Orre, I'm about as acquainted with Kanto culture as a mildly-retarded Slowpoke...but you're one of those sisters from Cerulean, aren't you?"

When Misty first came in, she hardly knew where to look. There were Pokemon everywhere, and nurse Joy seemed to be everywhere and nowhere. Chancey's running around helping the doctors... She was glad when nurse Joy asked her what her Pokemon's injures were. She guided her to a doctor, that would help her.
--moments later--
Misty sighed, as Tamonten yelped. "He's trying to help, try to sit still, Tamonten." She told her squirtle gently. She was holding Waras in her arms, and gently petted her new Pokemon's chocolate-colored fur. If he could purr, he would be purring.
Misty gave Yoshie a look, telling her to make it worse for Tamonten, by scolding him. She didn't have to fight the Ekans, so she was perfectly fine. Some minor injures, easily healed.
Misty nodded at the statement of Nurse Joy. "I'm happy Tamonten is getting the best of care. Thank you, nurse Joy!" She was silent for a moment, but then spoke again. "I normally would avoid Ekans, but I needed one to trade for Liza. Tamonten had most experience of all the Pokemon of my team, so I thought he would be fine."
Misty felt a cold shiver crawl up her spine, as Tamonten yelped again. She didn't like the pain cries of her Pokemon. She gasped for breath, as she realized that Tamonten accidentally hit the doctors head. Her hand flew to her mouth, but she didn't make any other movements. Waras wasn't to happy with this, now the petting stopped, instead of taking a comfortable nap, he looked up, to his trainer. He grew quite fond of her, there wasn't a reason not to like her. She have him food, and let him sleep. Even if the other Pokemon claimed different...
"I'm sorry for that... " said Misty to the doctor. But stopped when the Doctor started staring at her. She was surprised by his statement, but answered: "Yes I am. I'm one of the Cerulean sisters. I'm surprised you recognized me, sir." said Misty politely. She was quite flattered, to hear that this man knew her, even thou he was from Orre. She had hear ed of that area, and she knew her knowledge of that land was probably the same lvl as the things he knew about Kanto. Even more the reason to be flattered. A small, hardly noticeable blush came on her cheeks. She felt rather bad, that she had never heard of him before. But the faltered feeling still overruled that. She looked at her pokemon, Tamonten was happy to be healed, and Yoshie seemed to be wanting to take the place of Waras.

"Interesting. Your family specializes in water Pokemon, don't they?" Dr.Chase said, not so much a question as it was a statement. He had an odd look in his eyes as he looked at Tamonten, Yoshie and Waras before turning his attention upon the nurse. Just on the verge of saying something, the building's intercom suddenly came to life after a sharp buzz and crackle of static.
"Paging Nurse Joy--Nurse Joy, please report to surgical room 3 immediately."
The candy-haired female perked up at the announcement as she tensed up and shot the doctor a worried glance.
"I guess that's my call."
"Yes yes, I'll take care of it from here." The doctor assured her with a wave of the hand as she nodded and left for her posting.
Waras tilted his head at the doctor quizzically as the man closed the room door so they were allowed some privacy.
"I know this might seem a bit sudden to you, but as the scion of a gym and one well-versed with the water type, I trhink you're qualified to handle this situation." He said in a serious manner as he took off his reading glasses and hung them in the pocket of his medical coat. Retrieving a small selection of photographs from a nearby table, he handed them to Misty.
They looked to be snapshots of damage caused to eardrums and inner ears of some amphibious Pokemon; The degree of the injuries meant that the animals had lost their equilibrium and couldn't balance, stand up or even defend themselves properly.
"High-frequency sonar. These are Quagsires. Their eyesight isn't all too good so they rely on hearing and a melon stash in their foreheads to get around. Take those out though, and you've got them on their knees." Dr.Chase explained as he leaned upon a stretcher. He hastily pulled out a box of cigarettes from his pocket, but thought twice about it upon remembering that he was in a room with a young girl and decided to grab the stone-cold cup of coffee on the table instead.
"Cherrygrove has a Preservation Act to protect the Quagsires here, meaning it's illegal to hunt or catch any of them. Lately though, their numbers have been dwindling, and I suspect someone's been doing funny business up in the reservoir where they live. Now, I can handle a Pokemon about as well as I can wield a sword, which is to say zero to none, but that's where you come in."
Taking off his coat, he tossed it on a chair and buttoned up the collar of his shirt before opening the door and gesturing outside.
"Cops are slow and have paperwork. My shift ends in fifteen minutes, and I want to go up there to see what the hell is going on myself. By chance I get utterly *****ed up by who or what is doing this to the Quagsires, I need trusted backup, so will you be willing to help me?"

Misty nodded when the Doctor stated that she specializes in water Pokemon. That was probably very clear, since her team only had water types or types that would evolve into water Pokemon. She gave him a little smile, to make clear that he was right. She looked up to were the sudden sound came from, only to see Nurse Joy disappear into the crowd. How in the world could that woman stay so ... calm, underneath so much pressure?
The Doctor drew Misty attention by speaking again. His words imminently caught her attention, and her devoted 'yes'. Misty wasn't insensitive to flattering, and this man treated her with more respect then anyone in Cerulean had ever done. He already had a yes after the first sentence, but she remained quiet to listen to his explanation.
She looked at the photographs. She recognized the ear, but there was something weird with it. They where all damaged. Badly.
The Doctor started talking again. "High-frequency sonar. These are Quagsires. Their eyesight isn't all too good so they rely on hearing and a melon stash in their foreheads to get around. Take those out though, and you've got them on their knees." Misty was still studying the photo's and didn't notice the man take something out of his pockets. Nor did she see him put them away again, to pick something else.
Misty looked shocked. "But... That isn't quit fair fighting is it? Not something a Pokemon trainer would do." No. Defiantly not. Most trainers considered it impotent to have some battle, before the Pokemon was captured or defeated. Else you Pokemon couldn't learn anything or level.
their numbers have been dwindling She could still hear the voice of the professor, but her mind was trying to figure out who would to such a thing. As a water Pokemon trainer, she could never allow such a thing. The more she heard, the more determined she was to help the Doctor.
The man invited her to a room. She followed him, her face pale from what she had heard, and serious from the heavy mood. She hardly even noticed the rest of the busy Pokemon center. It was still crowded, with many trainers running around, trying to keep there healthy Pokemon away form fight each other, and trying to push there injured and sick Pokemon to a doctor. Waras didn't understand why she had stopped stroking him, and was looking confused to the doctor. "Biii! BiBi BI!" said the Pokemon, trying to regain Misty's attention. Misty however, had her attention to-wards the Doctor, and set the Pokemon down on the floor. The situation went from bad to worse! Now he had to WALK. Tamonten saw his chance clear, and jumped on his back. Waras didn't understand what happened, but obeyed and carried the Pokemon into the room.
She sat down, and kept listening to him. When he ended his little speech, she imminently said: "Of course I'll help you!" Yoshie had taken the liberty to demeaned the former place of Waras, and jumped into Misty's arms. "What do you say? We are going to help, right Yoshie?" "MUD!" Yoshie was quite the fighter, and that was what she saw. A new fight. That's what she needed, to catch up with Tamoten. She wasn't gonna let some foolish male turtle get away with all the honor. "Ready for more Tamot...en?!?" Misty turned around to look at her squirtle, to find him on the back of Waras. The Pokemon imminently said: "SQUIRT!"; raising his paws up into the air, ready for a new battle. Misty gave him a strange look; he was ... riding an other Pokemon. Waras just rose his head in a strange way: he didn't quite understand what was going on, but he would just go with the nice lady. Maybe she would give him some more food, and he said: "DOOF!" "Alright! That's settled then! We are going to help you find out what's wrong with the Quagsires." Misty smiled, and held Yoshie in her arms. "I'm ready to go." Misty let her newfound smile fade from her face, and asked the doctor: "But I don't really understand why people would be catching so many Quagsires... I mean, they are powerful water Pokemon, but one trainer has enough with one, maximum two Quagsires. If they want more, they can just breed them. And Quagsires aren't so easy to keep." Misty started thinking out loud. "Don't Quagsires need clean water? It's not that easy to find that everywhere.." Misty wondered about it. They couldn't cleanse the water, so it can't be some water company that just wants water cleaners. Tamonten was teaching Waras how to run so he could sit comfortably. "Mud KipMUd!" Yoshie exclaimed, trying to help it's trainer in her brainstorming.

Dr.Chase listened to Misty's words which rang clear in his head as every suspicion he had ever had over the mater as he merely nodded grimly at each statement. He retrieved his aid kit from one of the staff as he tucked it under an arm and gestured quietly for them to finally leave the establishment. They had by now exited the Pokemon Center, with Tamonten looking rather proud of himself mounted over Waras' back as they plodded through the road. Yoshie who trailed them didn't seem to know what to make of the matter though it seemed very much amusing to her. "All true. These incidents point to a slightly more man-made mischief and certainly not by that of any trainer I know of with half a brain between their ears." he noted breezily as they continued walking for some time until they had reached a waterfront edge of city which was nearby a river that lead out to the sea. several little skipper ships were tethered near the jetty there, bobbing gently above the waves as Yoshie purred at the sight and stopped for a moment to enjoy the oceanic breeze. "Misty, right? Youngest of the Kasumi sisters, you've got quite a bit to live up to. Call me Ronan." The doctor quipped as he came to realize hat while he knew who the girl was, he didn't know her name. He then pointed to a large combination of dam and building further east which looked to be at least a decade old if not more. There were several little cracks in the facade which spiderwebbed across some parts of the upper tier--one which crawled lower was beginning to seep water and this, he frowned at deeply. "That, would be the resevoir...built over fifteen years ago. I don't remember that wall damage though." As they moved closer to it, one of the mariners near the jetty who was an old man looking nearly as old as Methuselah spotted them and waved in a friendly sort of manner, grinning to show off several missing teeth which likely from scurvy. "Hey doc. 'Twas expectin' the Popo, but hey, authority's authority. Funny you bringin' that girl here though." He said, peering at Misty in a curious manner as he eyed her Pokemon with some degree of interest, particularly the Bidoof-riding Squirtle. "I take it you're mistaken. I'm merely here for a...routine checkup." The doctor murmured as he patted the aid kit he held. "That said, why would this demand the cops' attention?" In reply, the old man jabbed his thumb at the reservoir before asking through sign language for a light and a smoke, both which the doctor offered after a rueful shaking of his head. "Past week, there been ruffians runnin' up and down that place. Shady sorta people, I'm tellin' ya, and not just the way they were actin'. Don't speak to no one, don't be dawdlin' around either. No idea how long they be stayin' there, but when they do, sounds like they're runnin tests or sumfin' cause of all the shakin'." The old man blurted out after puffing deeply on the stick as Ronan shot Misty a sidelong glance to see if she got the gist of what the fellow was saying. "And why haven't you apparently told this to anyone?" he enquired in mock pleasantry as he watched the old mariner shrug nonchalantly in return. "Hey, no one asked." Sighing, Ronan gestured for Misty to follow him as they headed towards the reservoir. Tamonten tugged gently at Waras' ears to urge the Bidoof to move a little faster as the beaver's backside waddled about in trailing their mistress. There were a set of narrow steel stairs leading to the top area where all the water was cordoned off in, and the doctor took the first steps up. "The Quagsires prefer fresh water so they live just upstream of the reservoir's river. I know a couple of them nest---" The words barely left his lips when the stairs began to shudder a little. Immediately Tamonten and Yoshie who had been chatting kept silence as a new sort of fear assailed them. What on earth could have caused that? Before any of them could voice out their thoughts, a loud crash was heard from the upper tier stairs--that of a small object falling heavily down each steel step. The thing, which was decidedly round, rather bouncy and surprisingly, alive judging from the squeals of pain tumbled violently in descend of the stairs until it about reached them and crashed into Misty's chest. Bleary though dark and wide eyes fluttered open and stared up at the girl's face confusedly. The animal had obviously been rather disoriented and injured both from its fall and something else on the upper level... Shiny Azurill [Lvl 7] appeared!

Misty followed the man, out of the Pokemon, determined to find the source of the injured Quagsires. She carried Yoshie for a little while, and looked back for a second, to see if her Pokemon where following. She rolled her eyes at the sight of Tamonten riding Waras.
"Only to my ancestor line. My sisters and mother like to pretend that they are great trainers, but they are not. My sisters the least of it; they don't even gasp the basics of Pokemon. They only understand how to preform water ballet." said Misty bitter. She didn't have many good words on her sisters or mother. "I believe my grandmother occasionally looks after the gym, and she is a real trainer." Ronan... I think I heard that name before... Can't remember where I heard it.
Misty looked at the dam, her mouth almost falling open at the broken dam. Pokemon wouldn't do that.. I must be some human messing with the Pokemon. If I get a hold of that sicko that's been doing this...! Misty closed her mouth, and her hands became fists. Her face was saying "storm", and a wise person wouldn't confess he did that right now.
Unfortunately, the old guy didn't improve her already bad mood. She put Yoshie down, letting her explore the surroundings. "That girl"? She wasn't 'that girl', imminently crossing her arms, and standing in front of her Pokemon, protective. Waras wasn't really aware of the man, and discovered some strange mushroom, witch apparently, was eatable, judging by the chewing Waras a few moments later.
I'm merely here for a...routine checkup. Misty gave Ronan a suspicious look, raising her eyebrow at him. They were here to find what was wrong with the Quagsires, but apparently, that wasn't any of the man business, so she looked at the old man, with her stormy mad face.
Misty scrolled her eyes when the man gestured for a smoke. Men! They didn't have time for this! Luckily, the man gave some interesting information, immediately after wards. ".... sounds like they're runnin tests or sumfin' cause of all the shakin'." Tests? Shaking? Misty frowned her eyebrows, realizing this might be the reason the Quagsires where injured. And why the dam was so ... ruffled. Misty started at the dam, realizing they old man had seen the villains!
"No one asked!?! That is no reason not to tell! The Quagsires could have been helped much earlier!" Screamed Misty, who could no longer contain herself. Her face became red, and her arms were pressed stiff to her body, hands forming dangerous fists.
Ronan sighed, and gestured to Misty, to follow him. Still mad, she followed him, with angry, hard steps. She started angry at the feet of the doctor, listening to his voice. "The Quagsires prefer fresh water so they live just upstream of the reservoir's river. I know a couple of them nest---"
The Doctor was interrupted by the stairs moving. Misty looked up, her face looked surprised. She looked back, her 3 Pokemon, Yoshie, Tamonten and Waras were still behind her, and they seemed to be afraid. Misty was determined to find out what that was, and wanted to run up the stairs, but she was interrupted by the sound of a falling object. Misty, who was ready to run up, was suddenly stuck by an object. She landed on her back, and realized that there was a Pokemon on her chest. She blinked her eyes, thinking she must have hit her head, case the colors of this Pokemon didn't quite seem right. Nor it's size... It was much smaller then the average Azurill.
Misty carefully sat up, holding the clearly injured Pokemon in her arm. She whispered to to Pokemon: "It's all right little guy. Ever thing is ok." She tried to calm the poor Azurill down, realizing that she was holding a very rare Pokemon in her arms. It's rare coat... It's a shiny Azurill ... Misty got up, carefully holding the Azurill and whispered: "Ronan... Something must have harmed him. We need to go to the upper level, and see what harmed this little sweety!"
Misty whispered to the Azurill: "I'll protect you. Don't worry!" The red-head got an idea. "Azurill." she said to draw his attention. "Do you want to rest in a safe spot for a bit?" She held the poke ball for the Azurill, wondering what the poor Pokemon would do. She preferred not fighting it, since it was injured already. Maybe it would go with her voluntarily. Misty turned her head to Ronan: "Don't worry Ronan, I'll be alright. I hope Azurill doesn't try to fight and enters the poke ball. Then we can go see who did this to her." Yoshie and Tamonten were ready to step in if the Azurill did attack. Both had a tackle ready, just in case. Waras was stiff trying to find out what happened. Not the brightest Pokemon around, and Tamonten rolled his eyes in astonishment of the foolness of his riding mammal.

The Azurril, at first confused by the sudden appearance of these new humans was startled and fearful that they might be enemies but the moment it saw the symbol on the doctor's kit, it relaxed a little even though the look of urgency remained in its eyes. "Azu! Azurill!" It squealed insistently as it struggled to get to it's feet, all body language pointing to the fact that for whatever reason, it wanted to return up there. Badly. "Hey hey hey, calm down alright? Just calm down!" Ronan warned the little buoyant rodent who was attempting to struggle away from Misty's clutch. He placed his glasses on for a moment to inspect the rodent's injuries which were rather extensive thanks to the fall it took. Examining its ear, he noticed the same pattern of tears in its eardrums and a grim scowl came across his features. "We're trying to help---the thing who did this to you, they're up there?" Furious nods as the creature looked to have tears of infuriation seeping out of the corners of its eyes, not at these humans but apparently, judging from the way it was bowing its head, at its own weakness. "Okay, no need to play lone ranger. We'll go up there, we'll settle this, alright? You, you're injured, you need to stay in a safe place, you need to go in this ball." The Azurill, surprised at both Misty AND Ronan's suggestion shook its head stubbornly as Tamonten frowned at it; His common sense came into play and he knew that they were facing a dire situation. Anyone who wasn't at a 100 percent was a liability, and from the looks of it, that wasn't something they could afford. "We don't want you to get hurt, which, seeing from the way you found us, you obviously will. Don't make our jobs harder. Please." Ronan tried to reason with it again using sincere bluntness as the creature stared at him with wet eyes for a moment or two before staring at the ball in Misty's hands. It nodded resolutely but gave Misty a hard glare, as though saying that this was temporary for the moment being before it prodded the center of the ball and allowed itself to be engulfed in the light that radiated from it and disappearing into the confines. Ronan wasted no time in scaling the stairs as he threw glances behind his shoulder every three seconds or so to see if Misty was catching up. They were rather high up now and the ancient set of stairs began to groan and sway as they got even higher until they had about reached the top. To one side of the reservoir was a steep fall leading to the ocean, while to the other was a massive body of water that seemed to be the dammed-up river. Things were silent, a little too silent. He held out an arm to stop Misty as his eyes narrowed, scanning the spartan divide. There were signs of a struggle there and the tell-tale flurry of human and some webbed-toed footprints. The Quagsire had been here not too long ago, but where were they now. "Stay cl--" The words died in his throat just as a high-pitch metallic whine filled the air; the sort that felt like it drove pins into ones' ears and head as Tamoten let out a loud roar of pain and clutched his temples with both paws while Yoshie rolled around squealing in agony, beating her head against the floor in her frantic attempts to get rid of the infernal sound. The doctor himself fared about as well as the two Pokemon as he unfurled a litany of curses in every imaginable language. Through half-shut eyes he spotted the culprit; a man dressed in black who was attempting to hid behind the wall with a device of some sort in his hands and a pair of mufflers over his ears. The man's gaze turned sinister as he seemed to adjust something on the hand-held and immediately Ronan's eyebrows shot up. "MOVE OUT!" came the snarl as he shoved Misty and kicked Tamonten and Yoshie out of the way just as a loud WHOOOMM! and a massive wall of sound, only visible by the way it crackled in the air slammed into him and shattered the lens of glasses, sending shards of it into his eyes and face as a loud, full-bodied "*****!" allowed them insight to what he was feeling over the whole situation. Despite the chaos, something strange stood out; Waras of all critters, for whatever reason was not affected by the noise, merely standing there and staring confusedly at the people around him as he pawed at Misty's legs worriedly. Whether because of underdeveloped mental capabilities or simply because pain, like information traveled slow in his body, the young Bidoof hardly seemed fazed! "Biii?" He enquired, puzzled as he saw the doctorman double over in pain. Putting two and two together, he narrowed his beady little eyes and started to stalk this strange man in black who was hiding behind the wall. Instinct told him that things who hid were often guilty in some form.... "Ah Bollocks..." Ronan growled as he picked out the shards of glass from his face, having been partially blinded by the blast. Noticing Waras stalking the perpetrator however, he brought Misty's attention to it and mentioned, "I don't know how the hell he's resisting it, but we've got a chance to get close to that ***** with him so get a move on! I've got no Pokemon, but I'll heal yours whenever you need it!" Spotting the approaching Bidoof, the darkly-dressed man harrumphed and let out his own battle summon; an enthusiastic Loudred who looked more than eager to rock out his master's orders... Team Rocket Member sent out Loudred [Lvl 8!]
