I recently came across a few different articles regarding a rumored Pokemon wii game that may be Xd gale of Darkness and Colosseum's sequel and it is even rumored that it may work with Black and White. Although little is known right now I though I would ask if anyone else is glad that these games may finally be getting a sequel on the wii since in my opinion they were underrated and truly deserving of a sequel.

Honestly I wasn't a big fan of Colosseum. To the point that I didn't play XD Gale of Darkness (That and I hated the name a lot.), I'd much rather something along the lines of the Stadium series. After Stadium Pokemon on consoles just got bad in my mind.

I will admit the Stadium games were better but they were at least better than Battle Revolution which the game is said to also be partially based on. I would love a Stadium XD hybrid the awesomeness of Stadium with the adventure of Colosseum and XD would be great on the Wii as long as they add enough content to it and add gym leaders unlike XD and its prequel which only had a pre gym leader.

I'm looking forward to it. I've lost my passion for playing the DS games; so maybe this could get me back into pokémon.

Seems like little has come of this. With the rumours of Project Cafe now abundant on the web and Nintendo themselves pretty much confirming it I wouldn't be surprised if something was in development for that. Unless we get another Pokepark styled adventure. D: I definitely wouldn't mind something in the vein of Colosseum. While I loved Stadium, Colosseum did have it's quirks and the unforgettable Miror. Well, it's a fact that they will release a Wii game, it's just a case of what it actually is.

I hadn't heard of this... but oh god I hope it is (or they release one in the future that is) another Colosseum. I enjoyed that game soo much! And still do, when I can find my GC/the disc/memorycards etc. I feel that all the other console games since have let me down. All a little too monotonous or cutesy. I love cutesy games! but you need more, really. Colosseum was probably one of my favourite Pokémon games, actually. I was a little gutted when Battle Revolution ended up being so.. unsimilar.

The Pokemon Stadium games had a very clear objective in what they were trying to do and stuck with a really appealing design. Colosseum strayed from this but set itself prominently on the idea of a BIG 3D Pokemon adventure. Battle Revolution just... I don't know. I think some of the design choices are poor and it doesn't have this charm previous 3D outings had. Hopefully they can learn from mistakes with this new outing. In all honesty i'm perfectly fine with them keeping the main generation adventures on handheld just as long as they release a fairly long 3D outing as well that has its own storyline.

God no, I would hate if they transfered the main games onto console, that would be an awful idea. But they really do need to bring out another console game that has some longevity. Battle Rev gets old FAST, whereas with Stadium and Colosseum, you can play out the storyline over a long time and not really get that bored, and go back to play it again without getting a too nauseating feeling of déjavu.

I can't wait. I hope it is going to include 5th Gen and such, that would be awesome. We just have to wait until it unfolds. But I would like a storyline to it, not like Battle Rev. It got very boring after a while but with things like Pokepark and Pokemon Colosseum you don't get bored really because there is a storyline and a goal to achieve.

Well Serebii updated today with nothing although they had suspected something would be announced. Instead they suggested waiting until next month or another magazine called Dengeki DS magazine out on the 21st. Either way, it looks even more definite we're going to be seeing something soon.
Given the time frame of previous main games getting a 3D spin off it does seem to fit the pattern.

Once again, it's going to happen.
I just hope it isn't PBR with new ugly pokémon... Dat shit was monotonous, yoh.

I'm curious as to who is behind developing this. I'm pretty sure it won't be Gamefreak themselves, I don't think they've ever really had much significance behind the 3D outings. The main developers behind them have always been Genius Sonority, except for Stadium which was by HAL Laboratory/Nintendo EAD.
Genius Sonority have just finished Pokemon Typing DS as well so I suspect it probably is them.

Since Genius has developed everything since Colosseum (except for Ranch, which barely counts), I'd guess it was them too.

I'm starting to get really excited about this game now.. but in my head, it is basically Colosseum v2 (where Colosseum is v1, and XD is v1.5), complete with mandatory double battles and everything... ooooh, I am going to find my game/GC etc and set it up...
