The Blossoms of Cherrygrove

The Mareep watched the proceedings with a curious glimmer to its eyes. It seemed to be staring longingly at the warm scene unfolding before it. The way Sharada treated her Pokemon so kindly...

Then she addressed it, and the small sheep jumped a little. It seemed a little shyer than from before, when it had dredged up enough courage to send the mean people away. Bashfully it stuck its head in the soft, static storing wool that covered a majority of its body. After a moment passed by, it realized that the girl wasn't going to stay around simply because it couldn't communicate what it wanted.

The wild Mareep shuffled forwards a few steps and nudged at Sharada's leg, bleating softly. "May?" it queried, staring at her bag and then up to the girl. If she didn't know any better, it seemed Mareep wanted to join her.

Of course, it wanted a battle with one of her companions. With pleading, doleful eyes the Mareep stared imploringly at Sharada, hoping it would grant its request. With a cute wiggle of its tail that made the sheep's whole back end shake, the Mareep danced back a few steps and struck a playful pose. "Mareep! May!" it cried out, wool crackling faintly with static.

Sharada watched gleefully as the Mareep began bleeting. It seemed to be looking at Sharada as if wanting to join her party. The little fluffy sheep was completely adorable and there was no way she was going to let this moment pass her by. Reaching for her bag, Sharada pulled out a Pokeball. She looked at it for a moment before making a stern nod, "Alright, lets do this."

With a flick of her arm and wrist, Sharada sent out a pokemon, "Go, Cubone!" she yelled as the ball tapped the floor, erupting into a burst of light. The lone Cubone soon appeared, gripping tightly to the bone in it's hand. With a soft smile, Sharada looked down to her Cubone. The little guy was always so quiet and didn't really like being around her other pokemon, but in battle he seemed to gain a lot more confidence, "Cubone, use Bone Club on Mareep!"

Mareep made a gleeful noise as Sharada obliged and sent out an unfamiliar Pokemon to battle it. The Cubone clutched at the bone he held, staring so intently at Mareep it looked away after a moment.

Looking away seemed to be a mistake, since Sharada had just issued the command to attack. "Bone!" Cubone cried out, rushing forwards towards the electric sheep. The bone he held suddenly enlarged, glowing faintly, right before he swung it into Mareep's fluffy side.

It traveled through the wool and struck the skin underneath, bruising it and causing Mareep to bleat out in shock and pain. "May may," it groaned, shaking itself. Static electricity began to crackle in its wool as it powered itself up. With a bleat, the sheep fired a weak jolt in the form of a Thundershock to strike Cubone.

Nothing.

Cubone blinked, looking confused. Nothing had happened to it - thank Arceus for being a Ground type. Mareep blinked and cocked its head, puzzled as to why its attack had no effect on its opponent.

((Sorry, this is gonna be a short one. I have to go in like, 5 minutes x.x))

Sharada smirked as she watched her Cubone absorb Mareeps electrical attack. It seemed to do absolutly nothing at all, which was a big plus for her. With another hit, it would be possible for her to catch the adorable, fluffy sheep, just what she wanted. With a nod, she commanded her next attack, "Alright Cubone, bounce back in there with another Bone Club! But try to be gentle, we want to catch this little Mareep, alrighty?"

She looked up to the somewhat dazed Mareep once more. First her egg hatching, then Charmander evolving and now possibly a new team member? It seemed like the day was just getting better.

((hot damn that sucked))

[LUNAR]

"Cubone, bone!" Sharada's Cubone cried in response, throwing his small bone at the Mareep, causing critical damage but not enough to make it faint.

"Maaaaaaaaaareep!" it cried, shaking its head but the confusion still lingered. It tried another Thundershock at the Cubone but once again, no effect whatsoever. The Mareep grew frustrated and confused at the same time, not sure why its attack still coudn't affect Cubone.

It seemed as if the Mareep was still deep in confusion about why none of its electrical attacks were working. Cubone seemed to be high spirited aswell, not getting harmed in the slightest. Though it seemed to have been hit once or twice now and the spare pokeball in her bag was itching to be used.

Pulling the empty pokeball from her bag, Sharada looked at it for a moment before turning her attention to the Mareep. Pulling her arm back, Sharada took aim, before throwing the pokeball into the sheep's direction.

The Mareep's frustration level had begun to creep up as each attempt to attack failed, and it received large amounts of damage. As such, when Sharada decided to spare it any further agony, it could feel little more than relief.

The Poke Ball bounced off the fluffy wool covering its body and popped open to absorb the sheep into it. Sealing itself shut, the ball dropped to the ground and began the process of shaking.

Cubone watched warily as the ball shook and trembled. If the Mareep popped out he'd gladly smack it down. But his plan was not needed, as the ball came to a halt and clicked.

As the pokeball began to shake, Sharada clentched her teeth together tightly. The little Mareep seemed to want to join her team, but it was obviously trying to put up a fight aswell. She felt somewhat guilty sending in Cubone though, knowing that the poor Mareep's electrical attacks wouldn't do much - if anything. Her eyes stayed glued to the pokeball until it made one last shake before clicking.

With her fist punching the air, Sharada gleefully skipped over to the pokeball, lifting it up into her finger tips, "Alright! Seems like I've got myself another team player!" She turned to look at her Cubone, giving him a gentle nod, "You did amazing, great job!" Recieving a firm nod back from her Cubone, Sharada returned him to his pokeball before once more turning to look down the route to Violet City.

Though her eyes soon widend as she spotted a building amoung the trees. It seemed as if she was already there.
