I shall have to search for it, in that case. I'm very low on points since I've only managed to use it for about 40 minutes before the website imploded on me I'll have to try it on a different browser.

The main global link website has it's moments for me as well. Sometimes I go to load the promotional section or view my own profile and it just freezes or shows up all blank. Thankfully it's not done it TOO much inside the Dream World itself. Although I think you can pretty much resume where you left off. As long as you do it within the hour. The other bonus to using Dream World is you can get cool little themes for your Pokedex and C-Gear. Here's a link of them here: Click. I seriously want those Kanto starter C-Gear skins. You can access that via the Customise section of the Global Link website. There's also an ability to change songs in the musical. I seem to recall some hackers looking into a way to being able to add their own songs there instead by exploiting that feature.

Well, I tried to get it back to work for me but I gave up after 10 minutes because I only had a couple of minutes left in the Dream World anyway. It was on the day it opened, though, so it was probably under massive server stress.
I try to avoid the C-Gear as it annoys me but that Charizard one is badass. HOLY SHIT THAT KANTO STARTER POKÉDEX IS SOOOOOOO CUTE *melts into fangirl*

I've currently got the Unova starters on my Pokedex but I would kill for the Kanto lot instead. It just seems a shame they've forgotten about that part of the website. There's also some pretty nifty tools out there to place your own image in the C-Gear background. It's a bit complex if you have a retail cart but i'd be more than tempted if it was easy enough to do so.

I don't like the Unova ones so I'll wait until the Kanto one is released. I'd quite like to be able to put my own image onto the C-Gear, though. I just don't know who to pick... *glances at profile picture suspiciously*
I HOPE THIS THREAD ENJOYS ITS NEW HOME IN THE BLACK AND WHITE DISCUSSION FORUM!

Argh, i'm still trying to find the link that explains how you manually add your own background images. I had it somewhere a while ago but seems to have trailed off my internet history. I do know there is a signature image editor that works pretty cool. I had a friend put a picture of Joey and Koffing on there and it looks SICK NASTY... I mean, wicked cool, yo.

Are the images darkened to suit the overall C-Gear aesthetic or can they still be bright and stuff? Either way, Joey + Koffing + C-Gear = Fantastic.

I was referring to the card signature but yes, it is turned into a black and white image. It's a bit annoying as on this program you have to fiddle with the intensity of the black and white and finding the right balance was quite hard due to the image of Joey having some lines a little undefined. Plus Koffing's shading kept getting ruined in it.

That sounds incredibly annoying! Pokémon Grey may come with a function that allows you to use the DSi(/3DS?)'s camera and put that in there; perhaps they'll make it easier to use, too.

As a DSi exclusive feature (Something which the game promised on the box but for the life of me I can't figure out) it would definitely be worthwhile. I just wish developers would make a bit more sodding use of what they have. Oh then again, maybe that DSi feature was increased net security. Bleh.
Serebii also announced today the inclusion of a Pokemon Cafe in Dream World. Not too sure how it works but apparently Amoonguss works there.

Café with Amoonguss? Clearly they're serving Magic Mushroom tea.
Since I don't have a DSi, I'm kind of glad there wasn't anything glaringly obvious for it. However, if there isn't anything, yet it says there is on the box, Nintendo should watch out for trouble.

I'm going to have to have a look through the manual. Oh... Unless it's the Xtransceiver. That was a pretty cool addition. A novelty, yes, but a good one at that.
Other news related to the Dream World is that the Eeveelutions obtained from playing the Brick and Paddle minigame on the Pokemon website are going to be dispensed on the 19th of May. Doesn't seem to be an end date but I can at least get my Magic Bounce Espeon. ;D

What's this Brick and Paddle game? Is it still open? I WANT FREE EEVEELUTIONS!
Also, I just looked at the Xtransceiver. Seems cool enough but a bit useless - if you're close enough to activate it, I assume you're close enough to speak face-to-face.

I'm afraid it ended a while back. It might still be up on the site but it was an absolute monstrosity at times. The mouse would just lose its placing and because you'd be outside the flash game window it wouldn't move with your mouse meaning you lost lives aplenty. Plus you had to get a certain amount of a certain element to get the right Eeveelution.

What was the actual game like, though? What did you have to do?
