Not too long ago this feature finally got up and working again. I've had quite a fair bit of time on it now and must say it's nothing too exciting but it does allow for berry growing and transfer of some interesting Pokemon. I'm up to about 3,000 points now and it's meant i've been able to go somewhere else other than Pleasant Forest. Floating around in the sky I think. Bit nerve racking but alas.
Other than that it feels like a rudimentary flash game. Coupled with the fact you only have a 1 hour playtime makes me rather neutral towards it.
The abundance of people tucking in Victini is a bloody mystery though, I must say.

Haven't played the game yet, and try as I might, I really do not understand anything about the Dream World. Care to try and educate me pls? <3

It's fun, for me. I've only played it once but there's no reason why I wouldn't play it again. I CAUGHT A KANGASKHAN.

The Dream World is a little additional side part to the main game where the idea is, you can take one Pokemon (it can be any) and you tuck them into bed and access another world online. Once you tuck them in, you then access the Pokemon Global Link website via a computer and it basically allows you to play with your Pokemon in their dreams. The dream world has a house, sharing shelf (you can swap items with people) and a berry garden (Remember the berry planting system in Hoenn? It's back albeit online). Berries are a currency of sorts as you can swap them for furniture to jazz up your abode providing you have enough. You can also make friendships with other people traversing the dream world but the main draw is the fact you can navigate through this forest to have the chance to obtain rare Pokemon with special abilities or moves. To do so you have to meet their requirements in rather droll flash games. The first two times you go its all rather quaint and gay but it gets boring fast. I only really log on to get new Pokemon and berries.

When you first start out it's a bit restricted.
To obtain different Pokemon you have to walk 10 steps through these courses (a step is equated to pressing a directional symbol on the screen into a new direction.) When you first start out you can only access Pleasant Forest and i'd say there's about a good 15 or so different Pokemon ranging from Poochyena to Kangskhan. To unlock more courses (and ultimately, more Pokemon) you have to gain more Dream Points (these are gained by logging in on the DW daily, watering people's berries, doing minigames). At about 2,000 I think you can access the sky route and get a load more Flying types. I think I got a pretty cool Zubat that way.
As for obtaining the Pokemon it's pretty simple. As you walk along there should be scenery that shakes. Click on it and a Pokemon will appear asking you to do such and such minigame (One is a Wailord minigame where you have to spout Pokemon to hit BAAAALLS) and if you do well enough, they'll follow you. To actually get them onto your game you have to present an offering of one berry to this Tree of Dreams which will then allow one and only one Pokemon to go back a day. The annoying thing is, on one playthrough you can encounter let's say 4 Pokemon. If you pick one you won't be able to come back later and get the others unless you meet them on your path to the tree.
There will also be future promotions to get starter Pokemon with awesome abilities and legendaries (Think like Arceus etc). Blah, I think I over typed but I hope that clears things. It sounds a bit odd at first but when you have a few goes it soon becomes apparent what it is.

Thanks again for the explanation. It sounds like the PokéWalker had a baby with Harvest Moon... I like the idea a lot (especially the flying pokémon zone...), and I suppose the minigames are a cute addition. Can imagine how that one Pokémon per day rule can get a little tedious though :/ Hm. Looking forward to playing it now. It's online, so can you meet other players up there in Dream World? :0

One Pokemon per day for one hour only; it's a really annoying feature they added in. As for interacting with other players you can visit their houses, trade items and water their berries. You can't speak to them at all so it's very basic again in that sense. Friend requests can be made and the few I have made have been really cool as they usually visit and look after my own berries. I just wish they'd allow some more interaction. There's an EZ Mail section on the Global Link website but... Yeah, you guessed it. If you played the Pokemon games and have ever tried to put a saying down on your trainer card you'll know it's all preset text which you change a word or two.
Damn over protection. ¬_¬

Does the Dream World look different..? like purple or cloudy??

The Dream World's overall aesthetic is pretty nice I guess. This is a general idea of what it looks like: Click. Of course, it varies from place to place. You have forests, skies, underwater etc That is what you mean right? I've also got some good news. I hit about 3,000 points the other day and i'm starting to see some REALLY good Pokemon. I've now got Cloud Nine Swablus/Lickitungs which are going to come in handy for the abundant use of Ninetails.

New Pokemon? Hm, not really. Dream World has the potential to hand out every single Pokemon in existence as of now (That's about 649?). I must admit, it would be a pretty cool turn of events if they announced a sixth generation Pokemon on there. Chances are pretty low of happening but it'd be cool all the same. Kind of like how Bonsly/Munchlax was in Colosseum XD.

I think it'd be amazing if they did something like that, too.

Oh I see! Well as your points go up you can expect to see new Pokemon. I know there's a list floating around on the net somewhere. One of the Pokemon I know for sure is Elekid but that's at 7,000 points in Pleasant Forest... Which is a BIT much if you ask me as its alternate ability is Vital Spirit. I'm still waiting on my Eeveelution from that stupid brick and paddle game. They sure have taken their precious time with it.
