I'm really torn with Garbodor. I want to love it with it being a Poison type and all and for the most part its design is ok but those little pom poms bits on its head just ruin it a little for me. Trubbish is pretty cool too for a base form Pokemon. I can see why people think Garbodor is absolutely rubbish though... Simply because he is. *baddumtsh* Thank you, thank you! I'm here until Thursday night... Then Friday's collection day. *baddumtsh*

I'm really biased on how a pokemon looks, so my opinions might be way out there, but... Hnnnng :T I should just list all the pokemon I hate and y'all can pick through it and have a couple WTF WHY? moments. IF HE'S SUPPOSED TO BE A SNAKE THING... WHY HE HAVE LEGS? D:< Not as adorable as the previous evolutions... Just looks like a dog that was fed too many table scraps... Do I even need to go there? Looks like a colorful turd or something <w< Oozing toxic waste, bro. I'm a big flying-type user, but this game, I was just so mad at the main flying type. Just, UGH. Those legs bother me ewe Though the evolution is so baws, in the end. Those things. On it's head. So confusing. It gave me nightmares... :C So... Creepy... Hurrrr. It's like Ludicolo + Poliwhorl = CRAP :T Bluh bluhhhhhh. I can't even explain how confusing this thing was. The evolution is just the base... But with more silky fur that would be getting in it's way in real life? What is this I don't even - /explosion Pokemon that look like food? I'm afraid that if I had this pokemon I'd accidently eat it D: And don't get me started on the final evolution... He look so mad.... D: Looks like some guy was holding his breath. And he inflated, grew a giant mustache, and has a crown. Ehhhh... WHERE DID HE GET HANDS FROM? FAJHNFKANFOIANF They were all over the place in the ice gym TwT I thought he was some sort of grass dragon thingy. Like a snapdragon! But, it's not even a grass type, and it's wings are just giant leaves on its back? Hmmm... D: So creepy, desu. I DON'T GET IT D: It's a Water/Fighting-type... horse? What?

So to lighten things up a little desu I decided to look up a few images of supposedly horrendous designs which with artistic liberty make the badassery cut. Or Nightmare Fuel---both interlap in my case. This gen may have a lot of horrible designs from start, but it's only what you make out of it in the end Simisage which many people seem to liken to Elvis or some other smooth-talking charmer. In this case, this one was called Travolta and damn if he doesn't look fine for a grass monkey. Zebstrika, though really, I think no words are needed here. Don't you? Stoutland. Instead of an overfed dog now this variety resembles a Terrier Splinter. I'd hit it. Keldeo. Sure, it's the Pokemon version of My Little Pony/ a furry Artagnan, but it's an epic Pony no doubt. A slightly more realistic Mandibuzz. I'm no fan of the original, but this could convert me to it. " *Low Baritone* We are Defenders of the Night......We are GARGOYLES! DRUDDIGON!" Wise words to live by for any Darmanitan trainer for a surefire victory. I don't even care about the stupid grin anymore. I just love it and it's Jester grin so hard X3 Selfplug XDXD Seriously, could you say no to that face? Seriously? Badass Nightmare Fuel potential? Check. It's Wednesday Addams a hot Goth chick in Lolitawear. What's not to like really? Because even fat pink sleeping tapirs can be serious harbingers of Nightmare Fuel. Sleep tight, kiddies.

Thinking about it more in depth, despite the fact that I abhor stunfisk's appearance, there are pokemon that I dislike more- mostly for disappointment factor.
Liepard, for instance, I thought was going to be kind of neat, but suffers from an even more extreme version of Floatzel Syndrome, wherein what appears to be a glass cannon is actually constructed of wet tissue paper. When my level 22 liepard was getting OHKO'd by level 16 unevolved things, I realized that all I was drawing from the poor cat was further and further amounts of disappointment.
Similarly, samurott's appearance belied its true nature as the most mediocre and unremarkable pokemon on my team at the time. Unfezant's unbelievably terrible lack of special durability was a similar unpleasant surprise- though I would be happy to use it as a specialized sweeper, my playthrough teams need durable sweepers and tanks, not fragile things that are high-risk.
Galvantula is as cool as I thought, but not as durable- though that's not nearly as major a disappointment to me as the return of the trade-to-evolve three-stager as a standard pokemon. I really didn't feel any need to get a replacement for machamp or alakazam, and the fact that they did that again disappoints me. This is probably a remnant from backwhen when I had two friends total who also played pokemon and none of us had a link cable. Then again, I don't mind the 'trade while holding' evolutions at all- it's just the 'trade this as is' ones that bug me. Probably because there's no sensible explanation I can make for why giving a pokemon away would in and of itself give the 'mon an opportunity to grow stronger.
Ah well. At least there's finally a hydra and a significant number of good quality mid-late game bugs.

I couldn't agree with you more on this point. Liepard got a really raw deal when it was being thought up. Design wise it's really nice and having access to a Dark type that early on in game doesn't sound like such a bad thing but it really sucks in the stats department. Everything about it is sub-par apart from its flashy speed stat but even then it has nothing to really take advantage of with such amazing speed. The only status infliction it can dish out is paralysis with Thunder wave but there's far better out there to do such a tactic and probably with a lot more bulk to boot. Also, riddle me this. It has a good enough speed stat as is. Why in the bloody hell did they give it Unburden too?! Let's say theoretically you had a maxed out speed of 342... Why would anyone even need Unburden's amazing speed double to 684?!

To overcome Unburden Drifblim, of course. That or they were terrified of the second-turn speed of Nincada for some reason. In other news, I am somewhat less than impressed with Gamefreak's continuation of their 'evolves later, gets higher stats' policy. I still think it's a crummy way to handle things. (ARGH LEVEL 65 EVOLUTION ON HYDREIGON) ...poor beedrill....
