Coming from the Gleaming Hallow.
As Kevin reached the Luminous Vale he had no plans to stick around long. The Shady Glen was just up ahead and the sooner he could return the lost Farfetch'd the better. " No time to rest, once we get to the Shady Glen and turn in these Farfetch'd we can try and get out of this maze. Goldenrod City awaits us on the other side and once there we can finally rest for a bit." He then started walking down the path towards the Shady Glen ready for this long day to come to an end.
Heading to Shady Glen.

Having successfully escaped from it's master Farfetch'd was quite confident nothing could spoil it's fun as it trained against the various bug type Pokemon in the Luminous Vale hoping to someday defeat every single species who called Ilex Forest home. As it searched for a new victim it hopped out from a patch of grass after hearing a human talk only to come face to face with Maxwell. The bird Pokemon was quite happy to find a human to spar with for a change of pace. It was not sure what Maxwell was doing here but it could not shake the thought of the human being here to take it back to it's master. The allure of a tough battle was too much to pass up despite the potential risk of being captured. It extended it's leek and pointed it right at Maxwell challenging the young trainer to a battle. The brave bird certainly had all the confidence in the world that nothing Maxwell used against it would stand a chance. A defeat would be a disgrace for a member of it's species especially losing to a human. No mercy would be shown as Farfetch'd waited for the trainer to make his move. Farfetch'd (Level 20) appeared. Please battle it here.

Maxwell king » OOC: Moving onto Gleaming Hollow! Word Count: 166 Locating the Farfetch'd had been a much easier experience than Maxwell had been expected to be. The leek duck pokemon had essentially presented itself to Max like a gift that had yet to be unwrapped, and all it had taken was to fish it out with an all effective verbal barb.
In battle, Sylvester's Farfetch'd had posed literally no challenge to Jupiter the Flaaffy despite its willingness to take the fight head on, literally. The normal flying type pokemon had been groaning in pain since the cessation of the battle from the sheer ferocity of Jupiter's ever powerful Thunderbolt attack. Max was honestly sick of hearing the avian complain given its reluctance to follow the male young adult,
"Stop whining bird brains and lead me to your compadre"
Farfetch'd wasn't giving Max any clues to help him with locating the other of his kind, the smug look on its face was soon to be wiped straight off when Max returned the leek duck pokemon to Sylvester.

Maxwell king » Word Count: 150 OOC: Passing through Luminous Vale and onto Shady Glen The trip back from the Gleaming Hollow to Shady Glen was taking alot longer than it had taken Max to find the locations, it was indefinitely the result of towing along a pair of captured Farfetch'd who would soon be turned over for what Max expected to be a handsome rewards for cleaning up Sylvester's dirty laundry for him. Jupiter had been tagging along outside of her pokeball for the trip back through the Forest, the short attention spanned sheep was enjoying the chance to capture the scenery that surrounded her rather than be stuck within the confines of her pokeball, resting and awaiting her trainer's next call into the action. Max turned his attention to the pair of Farfetch'd and pointed towards the direction in which Shady Glen was,
"Pick up the pace you two, you're dawdling on my time, don't make me have to MAKE you move faster"

Arriving from Shady GlenOne Farfetch'd down, and one more to go. Based on Venom's knowledge of the Ilex Forest, and the description Sylvester gave him, he knew that there was only one place in the entire forest that the second Wild Duck Pokemon could be. The Mahogany Knoll. But to get there, the Poison type trainer had to pass through the Luminous Vale. Fortunately for him, the terrain in this part of the Ilex Forest wasn't rough at all. At least, not for someone who has spent most of his life in the wilderness. In fact, since there were so many trees around, Venom decided to leave the ground behind and travel by tree for the next leg of his journey. As the ninja jumped from tree to tree, he eventually landed in the branches of a white apricorn tree. A very welcome surprise indeed. Venom had always been fascinated by apricorns and the various Poke Balls produced from them, smiling as he took a moment to admire the tree. Unfortunately, as much as he would've liked to pick a white apricorn for himself, he lacked the means to do so. Apricorn trees didn't give up their contents easily and required the aid of certain kinds of Pokemon to do so. Of which Venom currently had none. So, the ninja simply moved on, jumping to the next tree ahead of him and continuing on from there. Pretty soon, he had reached the edge of the Luminous Vale and had reached his next destination. OOC: Venom heads for the Mahogany Knoll.

Arriving from Mahogany KnollFor the moment, the weather was the only thing not on Venom's side. He had found, defeated, and apprehended the second runaway Farfetch'd, he wasn't too far away from his meeting point with Sylvester, and his Golbat had evolved into Crobat. So, even though the rain and thunder were coming down hard, the ninja smiled as he entered the Luminous Vale. He was far too happy with the way things had turned out for him and his Pokemon to let anything get him down. Even Mother Nature herself. Fortunately, it didn't take him very long to make it through this part of the Ilex Forest, as most of the wild Pokemon had gone into hiding, seeking refuge from the storm. This gave Venom a straight shot to the Shady Glen, and he took it. OOC: Venom moves onto the Shady Glen.

-Coming from Mahogany Knoll-Upon seeing lights in the area, Penelope exhaled a sigh of relief, as the rain felt never ending. Something about this area that the sun could still reaches. She handed the Farfetch'd to Zuroy for a bit, and patted and shook herself from the rain droplets on her. Then, picking up the sleeping Pokemon again, she continued down this part of the forest. While the area was clear of rain, she wanted to make a hasty drop off of the Farfetch'd, because she was getting tired of its snoring. Now, which way to the man who wanted his Farfetch'd back? She was trying her best to remember her way back, and she also thought she heard something from the distance. The sound wasn't like, creepy, as it was just a gentle tapping or clicking of hooves. Could it be what she thought it was? Was the Deerling still following her? She hadn't exactly been watching her back, and the sound of rain in the other parts of the forest blocked out that sound. -Going to Shady Glen-

Coming from the Shady Glen.
As Tyler arrived at the Luminous Vale the brightness almost blinded him. This area was the polar opposite of the Twilight Glade. He could hardly stand the brightness and wanted to leave as soon as possible. " We need to get out of here. This area is way too bright. The Mahogany Knoll should be the next stop." Tyler said as the group quickly left the area.

Coming from Mahogany Knoll
As Tyler reached the Luminous Vale the sun had made more visible progress as it continued to set. The brightly colored area would probably never but totally dark but the setting sun did dim things in the area. As Tyler had no interest in anything here either he quickly made his way towards the next area in a hurry. He still did not think he would get out of the forest before dark but the more progress he made before then the better. As he was heaving he could hear chirping from a Tailow sitting in a tree above his head. He was tempted to throw a stone at the bird but as he was in a hurry he chose to spare the bird as he reached the outskirts of the next area.

Coming from Shady Glen...
The Luminous Vale kissed by frost was a wondrous sight to behold. However, Aphrodite and Alvaro did not come to admire the beauty of the Luminous Vale. In fact, the duo is on a mission to find the last missing Farfetch'd to return back to a young man by the name of Sylvester.
"You see it anyway?" Aphrodite asked Alvaro. The shook his head and sighed. "I do not see any signs of it being here either. I suppose we should move a little deeper into the forest."

Coming from Mahogany Knoll...
"Alright! We have finally secured the last Farfetch'd. We can make our way back to Sylvester now. Hopefully, he won't be too upset that we turned his Farfetch'd into a frozen duck!" Aphrodite stated, she could not help, but laugh a bit once her warm, amber eyes glanced over at the frozen wild duck that Alvaro is carrying in his arms. Perhaps, the Farfetch'd would manage to defrost itself a bit by the time they make it back to its owner. "I can't believe that I'm saying this, but I do believe that the last one was more annoying than the first one," she added, shaking her head as she continued to lead the small group through the forest.

The ebony thirty year old trekked slowly through Ilex, pushing her way past sharp thin branches whose long, spiraled forms reached out and scratched against her soft flesh. Small crimson beads pooled up against her sable skin in bright contrast. Mishu bit her lower lip and scrunched up her face from the pain. She paused along the way to pull her bag off her back. She slung the large sack onto the grassy ground with light from the heavens spilling down, bouncing off the long branches that crossed over each other above her. Mishu unzipped her bag and dug around with one hand, mumbling underneath her breath while knitting her eyebrows together in deep concentration. There it was! A Bandage! Which she immediately used to dress her minor wounds.
It wasn’t the depth or severity of the wounds that caused her to seek medical aid from her satchel, which she immediately picked back up and slung over her back. It was the risks that were inherent with her surroundings. A vibrant and active forest was sure to be home to several wild creatures and crawling insects. Along with this, Mishu knew that bacteria would lurk on virtually every surface. She didn’t need one of the cuts and scrapes she’d receive along the way getting an infection while she was virtually lost in the midst of Ilex’s vast expanse of a forest. Taking precautions early on, by cleaning and dressing every wound as often as she could, could help protect and save her in the long run.
Kumaneko charged through the brightly lit forest as though her soul was on fire. She scooted up the base of a small tree by jumping up several times until she was able to grab ahold of a low hanging branch. Then the small black and white panda would kick against the tree trunk with her feet, clawing at the rough bark until she was able to scoot herself up onto the branch. Danger lurked around every corner! It hid inside every bundle of tall green grass and whispered behind the boulders and large rocks that sat idly in the dirt. The shadows that danced from the edges of the trees mocked her! They only whispered idle threats and empty promises of how Kumaneko wouldn’t stand up to the great warriors before her and how this forest would be her downfall.
But they would all see one day! Mishu cupped her hands around her mouth and shouted to her small bear up in the tree. “Come on, Kumaneko. Get down from there, please? We still need to investigate both mysteries.” The bear ignored her trainer’s request, turning away to scan the forested region all around her. She focused on the long branches of the canopies and the tall grasses below her. Every rustle, every sway, every sound and movement alike, was an opportunity for an enemy to be lurking in the darkness, just waiting for the small bear’s guard to drop.

It was a curious sight, Mishu wandering through the wooden paths carefully as her panda bear partner continued its antics. While there was a time and a place for this 'noble warrior' act, it was apparently going unappreciated in Ilex Forest. Mishu was right to be worried of course; while she might be being a bit too cautious when it came to the dangers of the forest, this place was rife with danger. Rumors of spirits, of plants able to attack those who come near them. Who knows what Mishu might stumble upon next? Well that question would be answered in time. As Kumaneko began meandering through the trees with reckless abandon, the Pancham would eventually run through a bundle of suspiciously colored vines. The bright blues didn't look too out of place with the other strange parts of the forest Mishu had wandered through, but something about them was different. They would almost feel alive. And as the vines began to wrap around and touch Kumaneko as some sort of reaction to their proximity to one another. It would be child's play for Kumaneko to break free from the vines, the blue vines breaking at the slightest bit of resistance. If it did so, it would find that the thing connected to the vines appeared from higher up on the tree. A bundle of blue vines wrapped around a shadowy black body slowly pulled itself down from the tree's highest branches, using its vines to connect itself to the tree branches. Its eyes narrowed, clearly unhappy. "That hurt, you know! I was just napping here, hoping to catch some food for when my nap was done. Not for some crazy bear to go tearing up my vines!" the Tangela chattered incessantly, clearly preparing for some kind of counterattack. Kumaneko disturbed the vines of a wild Tangela (Level 14)! Please battle it here. VU3bxOkg1-421-42

The small panda stood tall over her opponents and heaved heavy breaths slowly through her mouth. Her victory did not come without a heavy cost. Pain burned through every fiber of Kumaneko’s body, lighting her on fire from the inside. She tried to move her arms and legs, though the pain that surged through her body kept her frozen in place. Widened charcoal eyes swirled around in their sockets while short growls escaped her lips in broken tones. She could hear bones snapping out of place and muscles screaming from the inside as she struggled through the paralysis and forced herself to move. It was agonizing. Excruciating! And yet, the strange blue vine creature had the audacity to ask Kumaneko not to disturb the forest too much in her wake?!
Mishu sighed. A gentle breeze sifted through the massive expanse of entangled branches that created the dense canopy above their heads. Smaller branches swayed and knocked against their larger cousins. The eerie sound of bark scraping against bark sang its lonely tune in the open air. Wouldn’t this have been an easier task if she simply carried Hinoina with her? The powerful and domineering horned canine would have easily lit the small Tangela’s thick breadth of long vines that encompassed its entire body into cinders within the blink of an eye. Yet her newfound Pancham, in all its wonder and tenacity, couldn’t have stepped down when her back was against the wall, and she was facing all the odds to accept help from the other Pokemon on Mishu’s team.
What would she do with this tiny warrior? Carrying her around would help Mishu unlock the secrets behind Pancham as a whole and how their unique evolutionary traits worked. Pokemon that needed a specific type within someone’s party in order to unlock a specialized evolutionary trait were far and few in between. The logic behind such a necessary trait seemed just as fleeting. Mishu also wanted to solve the mysteries that originally plagued the small town of Azalea, to better understand why Pancham were wandering into the heart of the small town and terrorizing the people around the area. She hadn’t heard much from the Professor, though, and it seemed the worst of Azalea’s panda nightmares were alleviated. Was it too much to hope that whatever caused the issue may have subsided naturally on its own?
She still wanted to investigate it. Hopefully by undercovering the root cause they could better brainstorm ways for humans and wild Pokemon to better coexist near each other’s habitats without one disturbing the other. Mishu walked over to her bag and stuffed her hands inside of it until she managed to locate a small yellow spray bottle with an elongated grey top. Mishu would then walk over to Kumaneko with the sprayer in her hand and gently hose her Pokemon down from head to foot, making sure to cover every inch. She watched as her panda began to move and stretch her small arms once more, moving her joints around and purring excitedly as the pains that ailed her body slowly dissipated from the healing medicine’s touch.
Mishu would then stand up and dust herself off then turn to clean her Pokemon’s fur up so that Pancham wasn’t covered in so much dirt and random debris that clung to her fur from the previous fight. A couple drops of water fell from the thick grey cumulonimbus clouds above. Though the pitter-patter of rain created a melodic tune throughout the wooded landscape, the few droplets that managed to sift through the thick branches and splash against Mishu’s head let her know that they needed to continue their journey onwards. Besides, they still had one more Farfetch’d to find for Sylvester.

Reukurotta kept poking his nose into Farfetch’d back, mushing the bird forward as though it were nothing more than a sled dog tethered and bound to a pack and meant to ferry a package through harsh snow. Every time Farfetch’d stopped even to just breath, the large Mightyena’s hot breath slapped the back of his neck and he’d hear the deranged dog snapping his strong jaws just inches from his face. “Keep moving bird!” Reukurotta hissed underneath his breath, shoving his head in the middle of Farfetch’d’s back as the bird leaned against a large magnolia tree. The wily duck spun around and slapped Reukurotta across his face with his leak. “Let up! Let up! Can’t a duck catch its breath?!”
Reukurotta shook his head and snapped his teeth close enough that Farfetch’d could feel the wind that escaped between Reukurotta’s teeth slap him against his face. He gulped, narrowing his eyes worriedly, and hustled through the rain soaked grass after Mishu. “There’s no time for rest, criminal.” Reukurotta huffed, careful to keep a close eye on the brown feathered avian. He’d jump up high and land in front of Farfetch’d when the bird took a wrong turn. With his tail raised high and his fur standing up along his hackles, Reukurotta lowered his head and snarled menacingly. What an intimidating creature! “Wrong way. Don’t think you can pull a fast one on me, got it?!” Reukurotta snarled viciously.
Farfetch’d cowered in fear and fell over onto his back, kicking his feet in the air and flapping his wings lazily at his side. “Oaf! I’ve been hit! Mayday! I’m bleeding all over the place! I’ll never make it home!” The bird cried out in loud quacks that jarred Mishu, causing her to spin around on her heels and march over to Farfetch’d’s side. “What on earth?! Reukurotta, you’re meant to keep Farfetch’d from running off. You’re not allowed to hurt it! Poor thing’s been through enough after your battle with it.” She snapped, shaking her head in disappointment.
Mishu scoop the bird up and hustle her way between two towering pines as she walked closer to where she hoped Sylvester was still waiting. Reukurotta grumbled underneath his breath and followed with his tail tucked firmly between his legs. “I didn’t even touch it!” He whined. Farfetch’d laid in Mishu’s arm, turning its head to look at Reukurotta from around Mishu’s side, and stuck its tongue out at the mean pup. That should serve to teach him a fine lesson in manners if nothing else did! If Farfetch’d hadn’t been dramatic, what might have happened?! “You need to be nicer to your guests.” Farfetch’d quacked and cozied up to the blue-haired trainer as she toted it.
