-majestic grove-The hum on the weird looking tag continued to grow louder, as if it was reacting to something. Penelope finally made her way back to the shrine, and was ready to take on the final boss of this ghost mafia gang cult. She held the grass type firmly as she wasn't sure where the ghost would appear. Not to mention, she didn't want to lose the Chikorita after all this walking around the forest, especially that stinky poo-poo swamp area. She thought about calling out the boss, but with the tag humming, it might be enough to ring up an alert sound for the final boss. Her Pokemon gathered around her too, keeping a lookout for the final and last ghost. The wait, the suspense increased as she waited. Who were these silly little ghost trying to claim the whole forest wanted her to stay? She didn't see those little Caterpie ganging up on her with string shot, or little Weedle firing poison stings at her. - le wait boss-

There was a darkness here. A darkness that was not normal for dense forest or even for when the moon simply refused to show from behind the clouds. This darkness was suffocating, like it would threaten to kill anything that stayed too long. Penelope had done well to get this far, to come to the shrine after defeating all the spirits that had laid in wait and to grab the tag that was necessary to complete such a quest. Yet the tag even with all its humming and pulsing that guided her would not be enough to completely finish the creature that lay waiting in the darkness. "You have come." A shiver ran through the air that was tinged with the hint of frost. The vines and foliage that hid the shrine away were covered with a light dusting of frozen rain. What might have normally been something far peaceful was instead left to rot with the presence of the darkness that loomed here not allowing any light or life to be present. No other Pokemon that would normally make their home here seemed to be present most likely scared away by whatever it was that had taken up residence. A cackling that could be akin to the sound of nails upon a chalkboard sounded as a shadow moved before forming before the girl. Its fingers sprawled like spinarak webs towards the creature that the girl had in her arms. "I'll have that Pokemon, but I'll also have you." It had been hand-delivered its prize and it would not take no for an answer. "You will never leave, never, Never, NEVER!" That same cackling came as a wave of energy came off the creature. It had every intention to take the remaining life from the pokemon but also to bring Penelope along as well as all the pokemon that gathered around her. Evil Spirit Gengar appeared! Level 25. Please continue the battle here.

Team Notes: Kumaneko HP 30/60
Light slowly broke through the dark clouds that circled overhead, restoring hope. The battle waged between Wanigara and this imposing demonic ghost who struggled in vain to keep Mishu and her team locked in place. Despite the noxious fumes it spilled across the ground, filling the air and causing Mishu to quickly cover her mouth with a wide, worried expression, they persevered. Wanigara managed to entomb his opponent in the overpowering sands, pulling Gengar further inside of his whirlwind of grit and debris that scraped against his ethereal body. Soon, the vile apparition dissipated.
The air around them felt lighter. It was like an invisible weight was pulled off their shoulders and tossed into the distance, never to be thought of again. Mishu allowed a soft sigh to slowly crawl out of her lips as her shoulders relaxed. “Good job, Wanigara.” She called out to her scaly brown crocodile, who dived underneath the ground and tore happy trails in wide, erratic circular patterns. Mishu laughed and slowly stood up, making sure to keep her grip on the Chikorita firm while being careful not to hurt the injured Pokemon by gripping it too hard. Wanigara was such a strange and happy Pokemon, he was sometimes like a breath of fresh air.
“How are you feeling, Kumaneko?” Mishu asked, glancing down to her small black and white cub. Kumaneko balled her small paws into tight fists and pumped them into the air with a loud growl. The wide smile that covered her maw was enough to reassure Mishu that she was in better spirits. There would be no replacing the emotions Kumaneko felt during most of the trek, being inept to face these evil apparitions herself and settle her score with them directly. Though, seeing her happy to accept that they were able to tackle this together, and assure that her demons were conquered through teamwork, felt nice.
“And you better never return! You’re nothing but a weak bully who needs to call all these other nasty ghosts to help you! I’ll wipe you all out one day, I promise! One day, I’ll be so strong that no ghost will ever be able to hurt me or those I love ever again! I’m hunting you down and making sure you can never, ever reappear, when that time comes!” Kumaneko screamed out into the ether, in the distance that the ghost had disappeared. Mishu smiled with a smile chuckle. Such a determined Pokemon, focused on her vision with an unwavering nature that refused to yield. Truly, Fighting Types were quite the character when it came to Pokemon.
A bright light surrounded the shrine, causing Mishu to freeze temporarily and stare at it in awe. A small green Pokemon with a large, bulbous head appeared. It had a comparatively small body with two legs ended in round feet and small arms with tiny hands. Two long, green antennae flowed from the front of its head just above its eyes. “Celebi?!” Mishu called out in disbelief, blinking profusely. She couldn’t believe what she was seeing?! They were mythical and thought only to exist inside of legends and old tales of long ago. And here she was, staring at the blue-eyed wonder who reached out and gently touched Chikorita, healing the Pokemon of the noxious fumes that pumped through its veins.
“My gosh!” She immediately placed Chikorita on the ground and pulled out her journal, scribbling aways on the pages. She managed to just sketch the Pokemon’s general appearance on the page before Celebi disappeared back into the shrine, resting once more. “I wonder who all know about your existence here? It’s probably best if few do.” Mishu mumbled more to herself, before placing her journal complete with a note, ‘encountered: ??’ to leave the mystery locked only inside of her own memories. Could it also travel through time itself, such as the legends foretold? Then, to Chikorita, Mishu pulled out a small red-and-white ball and offered it freely. “You’re free to join us and I’ll find you a loving trainer who will use you and help you grow. Or you can leave freely and return back to your forest home.” To which, the Chikorita eagerly accepted her offer.

The Gengar was a menace to the society of the forest. Its seemingly ghostly body was releasing toxicity that slowly choked Peneleop of breathable air. Thankfully, her Vivillon pulled through and blasted a radiant beam of hope into the ghost, banishing it from existing. The young trainer didn't get a chance to reply the Gengar's threats, and she watched as the villain faded into nothingness, along with the acidic air it carried. Light rose from the darkness finally. Well, the poor Chikorita was still cursed! It was struggling! She thought defeating the Gengar would mean the Chikorita would be cured, right? Or did she forget something? Suddenly, the shrine shone brightly and revealed a strange looking Pokemon that had been sealed away. A strange green Pokemon gave the Chikorita a kiss of fresh breath, a kiss to undo the curse. It even spun around Penelope a bit before disappearing away. What was that Pokemon? "Chi--ko," The green bean Pokemon murmured in its slumbered as it struggled less and its health regained. It'll just need a little nap before it would be all well again! Wasn't this just like the Farfetch'd she knocked out and carried around the forest until she returned to Sylvester? -mushroom bank-capturing chiko will do updates when I stop moving

Once through the thickest part of the forest, Silas released his honchkrow and houndoom again. Something about this forest was giving him the chills. Briefly, he glanced behind him to see if that punk Shinya was following behind or if he was loitering back in the dense wilds. But his focus was brought ahead when Mercenary began to growl low and deep, her head bowed, her teeth revealed behind peeled back lips. Her spaded tale thrashed.
Silas cocked his head at her odd behavior and followed her gaze where it lead. Up ahead on the path was a small, stone shrine covered in mosses. Around it were crumbling stone pillars, like it was the vestige of a society long since lost to time itself.
"How strange..." he idly approached, only to freeze, a sense of dread overtaking him and sending a shiver from the top of his spine to his toes. Something was wrong with this shrine. With this place. It was a gut wrenching awareness of evil that left even someone as cold-hearted as Silas reeling. "Let's go. It is best not to...linger here."
And he hurried off with his pokemon in tow.

Arriving from the Dense ThicketContinuing to march a good ten feet behind Silas, Shinya glanced right back at him when he turned his head to glance at him, causing their eyes to briefly meet for a moment. The Team Skull grunt was quick to avert his gaze though, doing his best to look around at anything else around them. Although, he did still take notice of Silas' Houndoom and Honchkrow, wondering if maybe he should send out a Pokemon companion of his own. However, his train of thought came to a screeching halt as soon as Silas and his Pokemon did, staring at them all from behind and wondering what this was all about. The Alolan trainer got his answer very quickly, as he too felt a very strong chill running up and down his spine. "Yeesh...What the heck? Who or...what's out there?" Shinya questioned, looking all around, but not seeing anything out of the ordinary. Apart from the stone shrine, of course. Taking a moment to narrow his gaze upon the manmade structure, the Bug type trainer's senses started shouting danger signals at him once again. Even more so than the ones he got from Silas. And speaking of Silas, Shinya overheard what the older man said to his Pokemon, and couldn't help but agree with him. "Tch. Much as I hate to admit it, you're probably right, suit. Let's pick up the pace, shall we?" After asking a rhetorical question, Shinya began to move faster, once again following Silas and his Pokemon out of the part of the forest they now found themselves in. Whatever was haunting this part of the Ilex Forest, it wasn't any concern of Shinya's anyway. Azalea Town could handle their own poltergeists, is what Shinya thought as he reached the edge of the Forest Shrine and continued on after one more quick glance behind him. OOC: Heading to the Majestic Grove from here.

Finally, back to the shrine.
Initially, Silas just passed by hurriedly, not liking the creepy way this part of the forest felt. But this time, he set his violet gaze on those dilapidated stone columns and the structure that rested between them. The source of that eerie feeling. Mercenary growled, her fur bristling.
"I know," he murmured, petting her neck. "Stay alert." Silas forced himself to move closer despite every instinct demanding that he run. Despite the way his very bones wanted to quiver in disgust and fear. There was a primitive, animal part of him that shouted in his ear that he was being an idiot to stay here. That he was in danger.
Overcoming that foul sensation left him queasy, sweat creeping down him neck.
"Hn. What do we...do..." Silas trailed off when he saw them. Red eyes staring back at him. He lurched away, "The spirit!" His muscles tensed. This time, he knew there would be no escape. "Mercenary, destroy that ghost! Leave nothing left of it!" His pearly white teeth bore into a menacing sneer. His chest was tight. His heart pounded. He couldn't run.
So he had to stand and fight.
Mercenary howled her declaration of war before launching a powerful dark pulse at those glowing eyes.

Comin' in from the Majestic GroveMuch like many of their other visits to spiritual locations, Shinya arrived at the location in question a few steps behind Silas. But unlike those previous destinations, Shinya wasted no time upon arrival. He knew that the evil spirits were here, and that they could attack at any moment. So, before that happened, the Alolan trainer called upon the Pokemon inside the Pokeball in his grip. "It's time! Scizor, let's destroy these ghosts!" Even through the fog, the bright light emitted from the red and white orb was extremely bright, as was the faintest light glimmering off of Scizor's metal armor. Indeed, standing there, tall and proud, was Shinya's currently strongest Pokemon. The one that would hopefully finally bring this living nightmare to an end. "I heard and felt enough through my Pokeball, boss. I presume you have a plan, correct?" With all of his senses just as sharp as his pincers, Scizor glanced at his trainer and questioned him, trusting that the upcoming battle would be more than simply throwing a bunch of moves against the opponent until they fell. "Ya presume correctly, Scizor. So, here. Take these. You're gonna need 'em." After taking a moment to check on the sick Chikorita in his bag, Shinya withdrew two items from said bag, presenting them to the Bug/Steel type. The items in question were an Assault Vest and a single TM, which contained the move known as Psycho Cut. Growing curious, Scizor eyed the two items before him, recognizing the TM, but wasn't sure what to make of the other item. Fortunately, Shinya was ready to go with an explanation. "This is an Assault Vest. If ya wear it, it'll boost your special defense by a huge amount. And this TM will give ya the move Psycho Cut. If I'm right, then this big bad ghost will be a Gengar. And since Gengar mostly relies on special attacks, and is also a Poison type, these two items will make a world of difference for ya in this battle, Scizor. So, take 'em and let's send these ghosts back to the afterlife where they belong." Listening to his trainer's every word, Scizor looked at him, then down at the items in his hands again, nodding his head once before responding. "Very well then. I'll accept these gifts and do my very best for you, boss. You have my thanks, my friend.""Yeah, I know ya will. Don't mention it, pal." Grinning happily at his Pokemon friend, Shinya started by helping Scizor put the Assault Vest on and making sure that it was secure for the impending confrontation. Once that was done, Shinya handed the TM to Scizor, and the Pincer Pokemon proceeded to crush the pink disk in his right claw, absorbing the move that was housed inside. With that, all the prep work was complete. All the remained was to wait for the evil spirits to show themselves, which didn't end up taking very long at all. As soon as they heard Mercenary growling, both Shinya and Scizor immediately turned in that general direction, seeing the same pair of glowing red eyes that Mercenary and Silas had seen. Not only that, but the same bad feeling that Shinya felt during his first trip through the Forest Shrine had returned with a vengeance. This time, it felt like the evil spirits were trying to yank his soul right out of his body through his chest. "Oh, heck no! This won't stand! Your second day of reckonin' is here, ya Halloween rejects! Thank ya can make a meal out of us! I'd like to see ya try! Scizor, time to try out that new move! Use Psycho Cut now!" Shinya glared right back into the glowing red eyes he saw, refusing to show even the smallest hint of fear or uncertainty. And seeing that his trainer was in danger, Scizor wasted no time in carrying out the orders he had just received. "As you wish, boss! I'll shred these foolish spirits to ribbons!" Making use of his new move, Scizor channeled tons of psychic energy into his right claw, building it up before releasing it all upon one of the two evil spirits in the form of a psychic blade. OOC: Assault Vest given to Scizor to hold. Also, TM172 Psycho Cut used on Scizor before the battle begins, having him forget Pursuit in place of the new move. Thanks.

When Silas first arrived at the shrine, the red eyes were watching the Rocket and his Pokemon, giggling and preparing to attack. As soon as Shinya appeared, the red eyes seemed to shake for a second before a SECOND pair of red eyes opened, almost erupting like two little volcanoes. Apparently, even the boss and the cause of all of this mess had a way with dealing with trainers that were working together to solve this issue and clear the forest of the ghosties. Now the laughter was doubled, the two restless spirits thinking that it was funny that these humans could make them leave the shrine. After throwing their voices and laughing a bit more, the two Gengar appeared, almost melting out of the Forest Shrine itself. The two spirits were fast, out-speeding even Sila's canine Pokemon. The first Gengar flew right up to Shinya's Scizor and vomited all over the steel clad bug type, trying to wear down the heavy armor of the bug type to do more damage later. While that was happening, the second Gengar flew around the Houndoom and just when the spirit was able to get the canine to look up, the red eyes of the Gengar pierced the soul of the Houndoom, making it unable to flee this current battle. Mercenary answered immediately, a pitch black wave of energy coming from his maw. The energy swept up the Gengar and then slammed it into a tree, to which the spirit faded and disappeared from sight. Scizor, for his part, after getting over the revolting way the Gengar did its move, sliced with the elongated and sharp claw, cutting deep into the plasma of the Gengar's body, making it holler in pain. It was a super effective strike but the Gengar only smiled and held up a berry it had stashed on it. Gnawing on it, a blue wave of light went from the Gengar and pierced the armor of the Scizor, making it stagger backwards. The yellow berry was gone, and now the Gengar was left with a two on one battle, with both enemies having super effective attacks. See battle screen: Here

Those gengar were...pathetic. Nothing more than a nuisance. A momentary roadblock for himself and his companion. Despite the gut churning awfulness that the shrine emanated before, all felt...lighter now. Was the 'cursed' feeling honestly just from those gengar alone? Had they been what caused all these ghosts to attack and for their minds to be toyed with? Because if so, Silas was almost offended by how easy they were to banish. At least put up a proper fight you noxious fiends.
But he kept his mouth shut lest some hidden god heard him and decided such a complaint was a plea for harder trials. (He rather got a kick out of stomping those annoyances into the dirt. Showing them that he was superior. He deserved for the weaker to fall before him in recognition of his greatness.) Breathing in newly freshened air, he turned to Shinya, that overgrown raddish still in his arms, still sick and feverish despite the gengars being dispelled.
"The ghosts are gone. Yet these two still appear sick. You think this shrine can actually do something to help? Or do you think we were sent on a fool's errand?" he said aloud before stepping towards the shrine and laying the chikorita before it. Behind him, Mercenary watched, alert, attentive to something that Silas couldn't see nor sense.
(Something was stirring.)
Silas thought about his assumptions that there could be a forest spirit in this shrine. Specifically the notorious celebi. The so-called forest guardian of Ilex. But was it even possible that said pokemon was anything more than a myth? Some even claimed that celebi didn't exist, while others said that it was simply very rare, and that more than one was out in the world, very shy.
"The lake spirit said to take chikorita to the shrine or it would die." He didn't exactly want the useless raddish to die. There was profit to be had if it lived. And perhaps, maybe just a little, he was begrudgingly growing attached to the thing. He blamed having to haul its sickly, leafy butt through half this forest and battling numerous pokemon along the way. But there were worse reasons for maybe wanting a pokemon to note die. Weren't there?
(Nobody said he was good or true of heart.)
Silas glanced back at the shrine.
Well? Was this going to be magic sparkle time, or would they just end up standing there awkwardly as the chikorita continued to writhe in pain and suffering?

It was quite ironic that the use of a Dark type move was what brought the light back to the Ilex Forest and brough this living nightmare to an end, but Shinya certainly wasn't complaining about it. If anything, he felt like there was some form of justice in there or something. However, he wasn't gonna be the one to figure it out, not really caring enough to do so. For the moment, much like his suited ally, the Bug type trainer was far too focused on how easy that double battle was. And for that matter, how disappointed he and Scizor were by that very fact. "...Is that it? Seriously? That's the big climax to this whole blessin' and curse ordeal? Jeez, what a letdown. Defeatin' those two losers ain't gonna enhance my or Team Skull's reputation at all. Thanks for nothin', ya lame ghosts."
True, Scizor had gained a nice chunk of experience from this double battle, but that wasn't nearly enough to satisfy the Bug/Steel type's desire for a good bout. "I concur, boss. That foolish trainer known as Silver put up more of a fight than those spirits did. I do hope that our next adversary will be able to provide me with more sport than this." Scizor was still as dignified as ever, but still displayed an expression and tone of discontent, despite the fact that victory was once again theirs. Clearly, even though they both loyal to their respective evil organizations, Shinya and Silas once again demonstrated just how different they were from each other. That being said, Shinya had absolutely no desire to be smited by any gods or deities that might've overheard what he and Scizor just got done saying.
So, rather than voice any further complaints, the Alolan trainer finally took the sick Chikorita out of his bag, held it in his arms, and turned to face Silas, shrugging his shoulders. "Heck if I know. If Celebi really is here, now would be a pretty good time for it to show up. Since it can travel through time, I would hope showin' up here and now won't be too much of an inconvenience for it." Shinya said that last part in a half sarcastic tone of voice, then followed Silas' example, approached the shrine, and gently placed his Chikorita down in front of it too. At the same time, similar to Mercenary, Scizor was keeping his senses as sharp as his blades, ready to act at a moment's notice if any other evil spirits decided to make a surprise appearance. It was very faint, but the Pincer Pokemon did pick up on something, but said nothing yet, unsure of who or what he was sensing at that moment in time.
Not that it would've mattered, as Shinya was far too focused on the suffering Grass type to really notice anything else at that point. Once again, as Shinya looked down at his own Chikorita, he was once again reminded of himself when he was a baby. How weak and sickly he was, and how he came very close to dying before he even reached his first birthday. Sure, this Chikorita was probably far older than one, but the thought of it losing its life over something like this made the Team Skull grunt grit his teeth in frustration. "Rgh...Damn it. Tell me this ain't one of those things where the trainers have to be pure of heart or some junk like that." Shinya commented out loud, knowing very well that he was anything but pure of heart, to put it mildly. Chikorita may not have been a Bug type, but Shinya would likely never be able to fully get over it if the sick Pokemon died today.
OOC: Likewise. Waiting for the forest's blessing to kick in for Shinya's Chikorita too.

On the other side of those dense branches, the forest opened up a great deal. No longer did the trees and bushes and vines choke the paths and make it hard to navigate, but the widening distance between trees was almost deceptive. Given the map in his PokeNav, Adrian knew he was in the heart of Ilex now. The deepest part of the forest. There was said to be some sort of shrine around here and there were many differing thoughts on why. He wasn't a historian nor all that interested in local legends (that would be his temporary renter and roommate Freya's whole shtick), but even he heard talk of the forest guardian, Celebi.
Apparently, one belief was that the shrine was dedicated to and possibly home to the so-called mythical pokemon, and on occasion, people reported seeing it while roaming Ilex. But Adrian wasn't sure if he could believe it. In a place like this, the mind was bound to play a few tricks, especially when under stress.
As he navigated deeper into this section of the forest, doing his best to find the child, Adrian noted that the fog that had been swirling around when he entered the forest had cleared. At least for now. He had no idea how long the clear weather would last, but he knew a good sign when he saw one. It was time to get his priorities in order and focus.
Adrian double checked his notes and the description of the missing child before urging Heimdal forward. He called out the child's name—Tommy—and tried to cover as much ground around here as possible. As he did so, he felt a strange...eerieness pass over him. Like he was being watched. Like he was possibly in danger... But why? He didn't understand? Adrian kept searching, and eventually he stumbled upon some stone steps and crumbling columns with a shrine perched amongst them, clotted with weeds. He saw two males at the shrine, focused on it and placing something on the ground, looking almost as if they were making an offering to some unseen deity.
(One of them looked kinda familiar...but his back was to him and there was no time to play catch up with someone even if he did know them.)
So oblivious to the fact that he was passing by Silas—the man who helped him evolve Star into a clefairy from a cleffa (who was also a wanted Team Rocket grunt, a fact Adrian did NOT know)—and Shinya—a trouble making Team Skull Grunt—Adrian kept on moving. As he passed by, he swore he heard something...something that sounded like a child crying. "Tommy?" Adrian answered back. "Tommy, if that is you, please stay where you are, help is on the way."
Adrian urged his Arcanine forward, ignoring the shrine, the people seemingly praying in front of it, and the sense of doom and evil that followed him. Creepy forests were creepy. He couldn't be distracted by the wary grumbling in his gut when he knew he had a fear of such places and knew he could get lost too. Guardian and Flicker kept up their duties. Guardian cut down trees in their way as Flicker lit the path ahead, looking very much like a will-o-wisp, out to lure victims into the dark. Perhaps the tiny ghost wouldn't be the most comforting sight for a lost traveler, but Adrian knew, that for all her mischief, that she was reliable in this instance. They had to focus on the task at hand.
They had to find that lost child and return him home to his parents in Goldenrod. —Word Count: 600 | OOC:(Adding an NPC and mini side quest for fluff) Coming from Dense thicket.Going to Majestic Grove!

PixelVenominonThe shrine sat in its place with nothing happening, at least not yet. Due to the immense canopy covering the entire forest, it was basically as bright as it was going to get. The wooden structure did look better though, now that the evil spirits were no longer holding it hostage. Though Silas and Shinya were no doubt eager and ready to leave this place, the shrine didn't really seem to be too concerned about it. Whatever was going to happen was certainly taking its time. After all, good things come to those who wait, yeah? Suddenly, the shrine started to glow a light green color and with a flash of bright light, something appeared. If either trainer were up on their legends, they would recognize the green, insectoid looking Pokemon. Celebi has appeared Looking from one trainer to the other, the mythical being of time seemed to accept what they had done in this forest. The spirits were unwelcome and they had managed to banish all of them, returning the forest to its relatively peaceful nature from before. Turning its head, the deity Pokemon noticed the two Chikorita and how sick they were. Frowning, the Celebi looked to the trainers and decided that it was not their fault, but that of the spirits. Closing its eyes, it started humming and then another flash of light occurred. When the light was gone, the Celebi was gone too. However, if the two men looked down at the Chikorita they had laid down, the young grass types would be waking up, all signs of illness vanquished. Please use a poke ball down to capture your Chikorita.

Silas waited there, seemingly forever, until suddenly, the shrine was engulfed in light and from it emerged the very pokemon of myth and legend he had heard about from others. Silas stared at it with greedy interest, but in just a small flutter over the chikoritas...it was gone. Vanished. He didn't even have time to try to battle it or catch it or even take a damn picture. Silas huffed and pinched his nasal bridge. He pulled out a pokeball and tossed it at the chikorita, "I'm not leaving here empty handed." The ball bounced off the green plant, who was just starting to rouse from its illness, and suddenly, it was trapped inside the capsule.
He sighed, "I believe I am quite done with this forest."
Silas waved absently to Shinya. He was irritated by the anticlimatic nature of this encounter. They went through all of that nonsense, for what? For celebi to not even acknowledge what they did for it? At least he caught the useless raddish. Maybe he'd find a buyer for it sooner than later.
"While I do not think our paths will cross again...good fortune to you," Silas said, making a steadfast path OUT of this place.

Much like Silas, Shinya waited patiently for something, anything to happen that would save the lives of the Chikorita pair they'd brought all this way. Also, if Celebi did actually appear, Shinya was ready, willing, and able to make an attempt to capture the Time Travel Pokemon as well. It may not have been a Bug type, but a Pokemon as rare and valuable as a Celebi came around less than once in a lifetime. If Shinya actually captured it, he could solve most, if not all of Team Skull's monetary problems in one fell swoop. With that image fresh in his mind, the Bug type trainer grabbed an empty Pokeball from his bag, mentally prepared himself to give Scizor the command to use Wing Attack, then continued to wait with bated breath for something to happen. However, when Celebi finally did appear, all the breath instantly vanished from Shinya's lungs.
Sure, he had seen Tapu Bulu once when he was just a newborn baby, and he hadn't forgotten about the various legendary Pokemon he cross paths with on the Secluded Island. But this encounter was something else entirely. No matter how much the Team Skull grunt wanted to shout out the command for Scizor to attack, he just couldn't seem to get the words out. He had no idea why, but as quickly as Celebi has appeared, it disappeared, taking with it what might've been Shinya's one and only opportunity to capture a legendary Pokemon. But for some strange reason that Shinya couldn't fully comprehend, he didn't really mind all that much. Rather, he was just relieved to see that the two Chikoritas were back in good health, doing his best to keep those emotions to himself though.
And after witnessing Silas capture one of the Chikoritas, Shinya looked down at the Pokeball in his hand, shrugged his shoulders, and decided to do the same. With one good toss, the Alolan trainer captured the other Chikorita, then watched as it was transferred to his PC. After that, both Shinya and Scizor turned to face Silas and Mercenary, once more listening to the suited trainer's words, then watched as they headed off to continue their own journey. "Yeah, right back at ya, suit. Maybe I'll see ya around sometime. Until then, take care." Shinya still wasn't sure what to make of the older male, but he had his own journey to think about. And now that this whole side quest was finally over, it was about time for him to get back to it. After calling Scizor back to his Pokeball, Shinya put it away, then turned and headed off in another direction, having some unfinished business to see to back in Violet City.
OOC: Shinya uses one Pokeball to capture his own Chikorita. Just leave its stats blank and send it over to his PC please. Thanks. Also, Shinya is now heading back to the Dense Thicket.
