Joey's eyebrow cocked as the hiker mentioned the power of their 'lord'. "Pft, you sure are deluded. Ain't nothing but tricks and gimmicks." He looked to Charmeleon and Aron who were barely holding up. "Keep it up guys, we can do this. Without some false deity." The two Pokemon seemed to laugh at Joey's words and took it as a sign of encouragement. They didn't need some jumped up 'being' to empower them. Their ability lie within their own skill. The use of a water powered Hidden Power disgruntled Charmeleon but he wasn't going to let some vine monster get the better of him. The water it flung may have been to it's chagrin but the water itself was synthetic and not truly water.
Charmeleon turned to his master and eagerly awaited the move. The enraged glint in its eye almost gave warning to what it wanted to do. Joey of course, was all too happy to oblige. "Heheheh, nice idea. Well, if you're pissed off enough..." He pointed dramatically to Carna and grinned. "DRAGON RAGE!" Charmeleon exploded with a burst of light. It craned its head upwards as a ball of energy began to gather just above its mouth. After a mere few seconds of preparation, a fearsome orb of rage was shot directly at Carna. Metalhead looked on in shock at the move and bounced up and down as if to try and get its move in as well. "Oh and Metalhead? Slash Carna with another Metal Claw! We got this one on the ropes..." Surmised Joey. However, he was dubious, this cultist was more than a little tricky and who knew what he was hiding up his sleeve. He looked over to see Narcissa's well being and noticed she was hanging in there. Joey became a little crestfallen. His plan of sneakily Stun Sporing the Carnivine holding her hostage seemed to have failed. "It's okay Narcissa... Just hold on."

"Beware commoner! If you attack my dear Carna, my Carva shall swallow your pokemon whole!" The Hiker threatened. A wicked smile spread across Carvas face, as it made chewing motions. The soft cries of Narcissa could be heard. She was clearly in pain.
Metalhead and Charmeleon stopped in their tracks. They didn't want to endanger Narcissa further. The two pokemon looked back at Joey, waiting for his command. Metalhead looked depressed, not wanting to lose a team member. Charmeleon was furious. It wanted to punch the day lights out of the cultist, for endangering his friend. Even if the Budew was a narcissist *****.

Joey snarled in retaliation against the cult member and smashed his fists in the air. "You want me to stop?! No damn way you crackjob. If I stop we're all gonna die anyway. You're just gonna ship us off as sacrifices. If there's one thing i've learnt in my time its not to back down or go down without a fight. I'm gonna scar you good, you piece of shit. You didn't say nothing 'bout hurting you. Guess you'll have to do instead of your beloved Pokemon...!" Joey looked down at his Pokemon furiously. There was an air of demonic possession about him in the way he roared. "Team! Repeat the attacks I last ordered... But this time... Aim for the trainer himself! GO!" His sudden urge spurred them into motion. Before anyone could realise what had happened, Charmeleon was next to the Carnivine's and barged past them. Metalhead, although slower, reared its claws at the Carnivine's if they dared to protect their owner. Joey looked uneasily to Narcissa. The bud was made of sterner stuff surely... With a final plea, he called out. "NARCISSA! Unleash a Stun Spore on the Carna's! We'll rescue you!"

"CARNA! Protect me with your body!" The Cultist cried, incourging his pokemon to fall in his place. The Carnivine nodded is sorrow, it was not looking forward to this. The obedient pokemon jumped in the way of Charmeleon, and Metalhead's attacks.
Joey's pokemon hit hard. The vine pokemon was slammed against the wall, it struggled to get up. It wanted to make it's owner proud, even if he was a psycho. Yet it could not. "Caarrnnnaa..." It moaned as it passed out.
Narcissa's cries could be heard within Carva's mouth. The bud pokemon was struggling for freedom. Carva leaned it's head back, and with a load gulp, the vine pokemon swallowed Narcissa whole. A wicked grin spread across the Cultist's face. "I think my Carva shall devour that Aron next, fool-" Russel was cut off.
Carva began to gag widely. Seconds later Narcissa flew out of the Carnivine's mouth. Budew shuddered in disgust. That thing dared to cover her precious body with it's saliva. Narcissa slowly turned to face Carva. The expression on her face was beyond rage, beyond homicidal tendencies. Carva took one look at Narcissa, and ran in fear.
Russel took one look around the area. Seeing his glorious pokemon defeated, he returned them to their pokeballs. Then with a fairly femine shriek he ran after his Carva. Afraid of the punishment Joey would bring down upon him.

The following onslaught had Joey smirk viciously to himself. The guy was more than a coward and using his Carnivine as a sacrifice for his Pokemon's attacks made him all the more furious. "I oughta steal your Pokemon...!"With the Carnivine thrown viciously against the cavernous wall; Joey's eyes shot towards Narcissa who had seemingly been swallowed whole. Joey's eyes burst with an unfathomable rage. "You picked the wrong vagabond to mess with... Running with the gangs has taught me many things. You're gonna really enjoy my own brand of Kanto Biker Federation styled revenge!" As the Hiker threatened to eat Aron, Joe laughed to himself in disgust. "Eat him and he'll tear your Pokemon from the inside out." Metalhead leered in an unsure manner at the Carnivine but kept its pose menacing to try and keep it from devouring. However, before it had any more time to worry about being eaten by the voracious Pokemon, Narcissa burst forth from the vine Pokemon's mouth and landed triumphantly on the cave floor. It turned on the spot, eyes furious with rage. It's tiny body was trembling with rage at being sullied by the Carnivine's saliva. As Joey and Narcissa looked on, it was almost comedic in how angry they both were. The sudden retreat of Russell made Joey roar with fury. "OI! WHERE THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE RUNNING YOU GUTLESS WONDER?!" His loud shouts echoed thunderingly throughout the whole cave. If anyone else was venturing about at this time it wouldn't be too hard to imagine they'd be deafened. With Russell now out of Joey's line of sight he let out a deep sigh, as if the hatred flowing through his body was removed from him. A few more heavy breaths and Joey took his bandanna off and ran his hand through his dirty blonde hair. "Great... If the Rockets weren't enough i'm gonna be hunting down these deluded idiots. Next time I see him, screw the battles. I'm gonna take him down myself." One final breath flushed out of Joey's body as he looked to his Pokemon. He had fought many battles with them at this point but only now was he starting to forge an unbreakable bond between them that aimed to drive them all forward as a unit. A small grin formed on Joey's lips. Despite the hostage situation back there and the danger of it all he couldn't help but be proud of his beloved Pokemon. "Guys..." He crashed on the floor, now sitting down exhaustedly. "...You ain't got no idea how much you guys have made me proud." Charmeleon, Metalhead and the others walked over jubilantly and gathered before Joey. Each and everyone of them, injured or worse, was cheering at the end of such an ordeal. Even Narcissa, as self centred as she was couldn't help but be swayed by the atmosphere. However, still soaked by the saliva, she began to shake her body furiously. Joey got to his feet and stretched his body tiredly. "Y'know, once this whole chase is sorted out after Azalea I think i'm just gonna take some time out and enjoy the forest there. Meant to be tranquil." With his team stronger than ever Joey's confidence grew. There wasn't a doubt in his mind that Team Rocket would be getting a serious thrashing from him. Sure he may go down in the process but recklessness was but one side to Joey's coin. With his Pokemon recalled to safety and placed away on his belt he sighed with relief. "Not bad, not bad..." His eyes looked up from his belt of Pokemon and he began to scan the cave. Charmeleon, still by his side as a light source nodded to him firmly. "So, what do you say? Expand our ranks or march on?" Charmeleon thought and motioned getting more Pokemon by flailing his arms around. Joey smiled wryly as he nodded in agreement. "Same... So..." He pulled out the tourist guide, which by now was starting to become a little more than overused and perused the pages concerning the cave. "Rocky Pokemon huh...?" He looked over to a stretch in the cave and noticed what seemed to be a moving rock. "Geodude! Oh man, those things are pretty funny. Floating rocks with arms and stuff." Charmeleon's imagination wondered as he tried to envision such a Pokemon. "Wooper! You're up next! We gotta get you in fighting form!" His Wooper appeared from the Pokeball. Rested up from the vicious fight from the Hiker before, there was now a different air to the slow witted Pokemon. Almost as if he had found some sort of resolution in fighting. "Let's weaken this Geodude with a Mud Shot!" Wooper nodded and slowly coughed up a glob of mud that dirtied the rocky Geodude. Charmeleon's eyes widened as he took in the sight of the Geodude. "Pretty weird lookin' huh?" Mused Joey. OOC: Always good to know in hostage situations that if you take out the ringleader the peons fall apart. ;D Aron can forget Harden and learn Iron Defense Charmeleon is fine the way he is Wooper is almost there!

((updated your party ~ AND YES, DANI MOD TIME))
The Geodude was enjoying its simple life. Sit somewhere, roll in front of trainers, trip them, and enjoy their tears. And occasionally other bodily fluids it really didn't like. Most Geodude in the cave preferred the dark solace of their habitat. Being disturbed wasn't high on their list of priorities.
So when Joey, Charmeleon, and Wooper appeared, it was already rather annoyed. But since it was feigning sleep, the Geodude merely shifted a little to get into a more comfortable position. And it would have slept through the rest of the day if the trainer had let it well enough alone.
But noooooo. The little blue Pokémon had to trot up close, invading its space, and make disgusting noises in the back of its throat. Now Geodude was getting visibly irritated. It only betrayed its outward calm by a fine trembling which Wooper chose to ignore. Without warning the rock spun around and made a nasty face at all three creatures hovering over it, mouth opening to make a noise of anger and chase them off.
Only to get a mouthful of already-been-stewed mud.
The fact it was mud wasn't the most vile part; it was where it came from. Wooper's gut. From the little mucus covered creature's gullet. Geodude gagged violently, ignoring the fact he was soaked all over in Wooper's home made mud, and almost upchucked... whatever Geodudes ate all over the cave floor.
Charmeleon hastily took a step back, not willing to yank the only light source fully away. But if that Geodude blew... The rock was done with the nausea and now stared menacingly at Wooper, who also took a step back.
It began to reach over rather blindly at the area it had been resting in and grabbed hold of something just outside of the light from Charmeleon's tail. Before the lizard could step closer and illuminate what, the Geodude moved lightning fast (unusually so) and hurled a rock that bounced off Wooper's forehead and landed painfully on Charmeleon's foot.
Yelping, the reptile began to dance on the spot, holding his injured foot. The result was the light skittering all over the cave walls and ceiling while Wooper groaned and wished he had arms to rub the red scratch on his head.

Joey, having had no prior experience with ordering Wooper to use the move, had no idea of the true nature behind how it worked. As the Wooper coughed up a load of mud at the Geodude; Joey almost felt the same nauseating feeling in his own gut. "Oh man... That's... Pretty vile. Even for me." Wooper looked around happily without a care in the world, totally oblivious to the fact he had just thrown up a pile of mud. Not to mention the fact he had just been bludgeoned over the head with a chucked rock. Joey looked to Charmeleon who was still cradling his foot and shrugged uneasily as his companion growled.
"Sorry bud, Wooper's got this one... Covered, I guess you could say... Literally." Winced Joey as he looked over to Geodude who was still covered in Wooper's mud. Charmeleon grunted at the Geodude. It'd be more than happy to jump in if Wooper failed to meet ends meet. Joey looked to the seemingly concussed Wooper and ordered the next command. "Repeat the Mud Shot!" Joey's enthusiasm faltered slightly after ordering the move. It was best he looked away in case of him throwing up himself. Wooper nodded and spluttered before wheezing up another large batch of mud that shot directly at the rocky opponent.

Oh good god it was making noises again. Despite feeling quite vindictive after clobbering the sick little Water Fish Pokémon, that ominous nose prevailing the attack was enough to color the stony surface of the Geodude a pale pastel green.
Wooper swayed on his feet before his mouth split in a wide grin and he forcefully spewed a spray of mud that coated his opponent and obscured the poor creature from view. A little trickle of mud ran down Wooper's lipless mouth, almost like drool. Now even Charmeleon had to clamp a paw to his mouth.
At least fire breathing only involved combustible liquid that ignited when it met air. Not eating ground, mixing it with water and other nasty stomach contents, and hurling it back out. As Wooper watched gleefully, the whites of Geodude's astonished eyes appeared amongst a slick mud puddle. It hopped forwards, ignoring the gross mud around it and clenched its fists.
The Geodude began to hop up and down, banging its fists on the ground in tandem. Wooper paused in his derpy joy and stared at the odd behaviour occurring with the rock before him. The ground began to tremble faintly as Geodude continued to hop and bang around. Then it pushed off the ground with its fist and hurled itself high into the air.
Positioning itself in midair, it rocketed downwards with an added dose of gravity and set the entire cave to shaking violently. Rocks and dust crumbled from the ceiling, and a shockwave of rippling earth traveled from the epicenter where the Geodude had landed towards Wooper.
It was a Magnitude 9! Wooper tripped up on the broken earth and fell onto his back, legs windmilling uselessly in the air. Charmeleon had shoved his claws into the wall behind him to stop himself from getting motion sickness, and had managed to get himself stuck.
With a titanic effort, Wooper managed to flip onto his side and stand up all wobbly. The trembling had subsided, and now only a few puffs of dust from falling pebbles betrayed anything momentous had happened in the past two minutes. But the Geodude was showing signs of fading itself; it was breathing heavily and had closed its eyes. Battle

While already feeling nauseous from Wooper's moves, the last thing Joey wanted to contend with was more upsetting of his stomach. Unfortunately for him, the Geodude seemed to have other plans. With the disastrous force of the magnitude it unleashed; Joey was left shaking furiously. He clenched onto his stomach in an act to try and keep what he had for breakfast down. "Urrrgggh... Urge to puke... Rising..." Upon mentioning rising in his mind, the thought of being sick became even more enticing. Instead, he clasped his mouth shut and did his best not to chuck.
As the magnitude of the move lessened, Joey was finally able to gain some control over himself and noticed that the battle verdict was now entirely in his hands. He smirked to himself triumphantly and with a dexterous maneuver of his hands, retrieved a single Pokeball from his bag. This Geodude was definitely more than adequate for a spot on Joey's team. Especially with such a magnificent magnitude. The effects of the move must have been felt even in Violet. He extended the ball and with a cautious aim, sent it flying towards the Geodude. "Haha, nice work Wooper. You're pretty good when you get going... But... Let's try and keep off that Mud Shot move for a while unless we have to..." Wooper nodded happily, still unbeknownst to how it made the others felt. Charmeleon facepalmed but eventually looked to see the outcome of the capture.

Wooper watched the Poké Ball sail overhead with what could only be described as an extremely derpy look. Charmeleon, on the otherhand, was merely trying to disengage himself from the cave wall with a rather embarrassed air about him. Geodude, having closed its eyes, opened them at the sounds of Charmeleon's struggles.
Crack.
The noise the sphere made as it made contact with the rock was a very ominous one, but the Geodude barely blinked. With a faint whistle the Poké Ball sprang up and popped open, firing out a red beam to envelop the fatigued Rock/Ground type.
Pulling in the Pokémon, the ball dropped to the ground and began twitching in every direction, a sure sign there was little fighting spirit left within the rock. Wooper stared with a slightly zoned-off look on his face, dribbling a little more mud down his face. Charmeleon edged closer to Joey and away from his partner, quite disturbed by the whole situation.
And then a final shake, and the red light on the button blinking once to signal a successful capture. Wooper made a sudden noise in the silence, almost a shocked gasp. Without warning the little mud vomit spewing factory began to glow a bright white, so bright in dimmed out everything else. Both trainer and Pokémon shielded their eyes from the glow until it faded mere moments later.
Except Wooper was no longer there.
A large, round blue Pokémon stood in his place, with an even derpier (is that even possible?) look on his face. He was a simple minded critter even more so upon evolution, apparent as he turned around and spread his fins/arms wide. "Quaaaagsire..." he said slowly. Charmeleon blinked, then burst out guffawing. Wooper had evolved alright.

The fervent tension had reached its peak. As the ball clicked and locked into place, Joey knew he had caught the stone Pokemon. With a quick swipe of his hand, the ball retreated back to him and he grasped it triumphantly. "'Nother one for the team." His victory was short lived, the sudden rumination from Wooper startled Joey. Even Charmeleon was taken aback by the sudden action of the slow Pokemon. It was unlike it to do anything that spontaneously. As the brilliant array of light became harsher, Joey's eyes closed instinctively shut. If this was happening, he was sure that it was coming close to evolution just like many of his Pokemon before. As the light settled in the dark cave, Joey's eyes groggily adjusted to the new brightness and before him stood Wooper in his new evolved form. Quagsire. Charmeleon was pretty flabbergasted by the new change but almost jumped out of the way as Quagsire launched itself over to Joey and enveloped his flippers around him in a big hug. Joey wheezed slightly as Quagsire's grip was pretty hard but couldn't help but laugh at the Pokemon's happiness. It cried out happily and eventually let go after Joe began to struggle free of its grip. "Wow, look at you. All big and evolved now, eh?" He patted Quagsire's head who only responded with a dopey grin. Before the group could do anything else however, Charmeleon's eyes widened at the ground. Joey, picking up on this, looked down also. "Wha-What?!" As he examined the ground, it would seem they were standing on top of a large string of boulders. This was all very well of course, the area being a cave but... Something was off. These boulders were moving! With a flying jump, Joey landed off the now lively rocks as Charmeleon nudged Quagsire off to safety and made a lively retreat himself. Lying on the floor wearily, Joey looked up in astonishment to see that it was actually an Onix they had been standing on the entire time. "No goddamn way... That thing's... HUGE!" He scuffled back on the floor slightly giving himself enough time to grab a Pokeball. "No way are we gonna win against something that big... We best paralyse it!" The ball in his hand launched forwards, revealing Joey's ever self absorbed Narcissa. She twirled on the spot happily to herself before twitching. It looked up in awe and realised what exactly they were facing. It shrieked and look to Joey for orders. "Don't just stand there! Stun Spore it!" Said Onix was indeed huge; its entire body was practically filling up the tunnel and eating up any light that wanted to reach into the farther depths of the cave. It was used to the little insects that walked all over it, with their even smaller mounds of flesh companions trampling its body as well.
But it was too stupid to really care that much. Until it had gotten a fair splattering of Wooper's mud-vomit on its face. Now that alone was enough to stir it out of a slumber that could have lasted centuries. And then the little embers falling off of Charmeleon's tail... even through the thick rocks making up its body, it could feel the painful heat.
Now the insect and its companions were scuttling away from it as the Onix reared up, swinging its head dozily in their direction. Its mouth fell open, revealing a yawning black hole, out of which blasted a breath reeking of... mud.
Narcissa's incessant shrieking was bothersome. Lazily, the rock snake looked down at the screaming bud and contemplated simply falling back asleep - literally, and crush the nuisance. Narcissa turned on Joey and began to trill in a high pitched voice. Either she was cussing at him, or she was raging about being forced to fight, by the look on Charmeleons face. The reptile made a rude gesture at the bud and followed it up with a warning growl for her to get her dainty little keister into battle.
The bud swelled up with indignant fury, but tottered on towards the Onix. She swayed slightly, in awe at the great size of the beast, but performed her orders. Leaping into the air, the vines on her head unfurled as she twisted and released a shimmering cloud of gold.
Despite the well-done execution of the attack, the settling spores seemed to be doing nothing as they landed on the rocks of the Onix. It merely shook itself and stared slowly at Narcissa. Again she puffed herself up and let out a chorus of shrieking screams.
Now this was getting annoying. Brow crinkling, the rock snake began to lower its head towards the Budew, mouth still wide open. Charmeleon made a shocked noise in the back of his throat; was it actually going to eat her? Narcissa stopped her yelling long enough to stare furiously at her quarry. Eat her? EAT HER!? Oh, dear, that wouldn't do well at all.
That's when a very devious look flickered to life on the narcissistic plant's face.
With a very twisted smile, she unfurled her vines again and shot out another plume of spores, this time going right up into the black, gaping jaws of the unaware Onix. Inhalation was the only way this attack was going to do its duty, and Narcissa, even with her fixation on her appearance, had figured that much out.
The Onix began to cough and splutter as it took a direct hit from the strong dose of Stun Spore, rearing back with an agonized groan. Its horned head scraped the ceiling and caused dust to fill the air, coating Narcissa with a pleasant layer of it. And once more, predictably, she began to wail in displeasure. But this time, the Onix had a little smarter move to silence the annoying Grass type. Its tail flicked up suddenly, and there was a faint whistling sound that was drowned out by the noisy Budew.
And then she suddenly stopped when a rather loud thwap! resonated out. She keeled over, eyes bugging out, a red welt blooming on her forehead. Had it actually assaulted her with a ROCK!?

In all of his journeys across the lands, there wasn't anything that could compare to the sheer size of this Onix before him. Sure that Tentacruel back in Cherrygrove might technically be the larger of the two but with the darkness of the cave, it was impossible to judge its full size. It was literally filling up the whole cave, its long body stretching back as far as the eye could perceive. All the Pokemon Joey had on himself were dwarfs in stature compared to the rock snake. However, Joey knew full well that size wasn't a critically defining factor in a battle. Pokemon could house power far beyond their small sizes. If anything, with Narcissa's sudden outburst of rage, he was becoming concerned she may go over the top and crumble the Onix entirely.
The Onix wasn't too pleased with the miniature bud Pokemon either. The mighty throw of a sizeable rock had Joey take a quick leap out of the way of the battlefield. The last thing he particularly wanted was being knocked out by a rogue boulder and falling behind the trail of the mobsters and cultists alike. With a heavy thud, he landed unceremoniously on the dusty cave floor. He spat out repugnantly as he accidentally took a huge mouthful of dirt. "Not my day... Not my day at all." He scrambled up to his feet and quickly looked over to see what the Onix was doing. Fortunately for him, the small confines of the cave were working to his advantage.
With a swift swipe of his hand, he grabbed Budew's ball and returned her. Before she was returned an incredibly sour look was etched in to her face. Having her divine looks being squashed by some bland rock riled her up entirely. "Dammit, if I keep you out, you'll slaughter the beast." He chucked in his replacement and from the ball materialised his ever faithful Metalhead, raring for battle as always. "Okay Metalhead! With your iron defences we can do this! Weaken it with Metal Claw!" Metalhead flung its head up and down wildly as it began charging towards the Onix. Unfortunately, the rocky snake was prepared for the attack and attempted to shield itself with its tail.
Metalhead wasn't too slow to stop his course. With a swift skid with his body facing sidewards, he managed to stop before ramming himself into the Onix. With its tail so exploitable, it launched itself onto it with a mighty leap and it wasn't long before the runaway Pokemon was now running a marathon along the Onix's body. It reached to the head and in that instance, tore its claws at it as they hardened into a strong metal. Joey grinned at the Pokemon's resourcefulness. "Who'd have thought it? Pretty slick moves there." Charmeleon crossed its arms and shrugged.

((arzzz stop hijacking my posts you pirate >o))
Despite its fuzzy head from the direct inhalation of paralytic spores, the Onix had enough left sense left in its rocky head to wonder why the obviously type advantage wielding Budew had been switched out on it. She had already gave it a crippling status affliction and could have wiped the floor with it.
Then the little metal creature appeared before it, looking oddly familiar. Of course it would know; there were a lot of Aron hiding out in Union Cave.
Yet none of them had the same sort of smarts this otherworldly beast possessed. Metalhead had avoided its lashing tail and proceeded to climb the length of its gargantuan body. If it hadn't just taken a direct hit from Stun Spore, the Onix would have quickly hurled the little metal critter off it at. It struggled to watch the Aron's progress, too annoyed by the faint burn of the spores still lodged in its throat and mouth.
Metalhead's claws tore into the face of the rock snake, gouging out two rather enormous chunks. The pieces clattered to the ground, and before the Onix could so much as roar in agony, the Aron had executed a neat backflip off of its body to avoid retaliation.
Or being almost eaten like Narcissa.
But it had other plans as it threw its head back and roared. Then the beast hurled its head straight down, slamming into the cave floor with a thud so powerful it knocked Charmeleon into the wall, and caused Aron to pop into the air a good 2 feet.
Startled, the little Metal/Rock type stared at the Onix as the stone leviathan opened its yawning chasm of a mouth and sucked in a hearty breath. Then its beady eyes narrowed, and it let out a powerful Screech attack, causing the whole cave to tremble from the intensity. Metalhead's eyes bugged out, given he was barely a few feet away and was now having his ears practically murdered by the most barbaric, grating sound ever to have been invented.
Even Charmeleon let out a moan, paws clamped tight over his ears. This unearthly noise, would it ever let up? The Onix sure had a good set of lungs on it, as it took a full five minutes for the din to die out. The very tinny ringing in Metalhead's ears was having an odd effect on him, causing him to totter weakly to each side.
If he wasn't seeing doubles of everything, he'd swear the Onix had a very smug look on its face. Battle

With the fierce assault lavished on the Onix by Metalhead and Narcissa's paralytic spore, the battle was beginning to take its toll on Onix. Much to Joey's delight; he wasn't too happy with the high possibility of being squashed with a single brush from the behemoth's tail. This cave had very few places to run away from it. As the Onix veered its jaws wide open, Joe felt almost as if he was staring into the deep abyss... And that it was staring right back at him. Unnerved, the next move from the Onix took him by total surprise. The thunderous screech that reverberated throughout the long winding cave seemed to shake the very foundations of the world. With the screech piercing through everything within Union Cave, Joey and his party were sent into huge disarray.
Clutching his ears tightly, Joey did the best he could to mute the screech but that was next to impossible, the clasping of his hands over his ears didn't seem to do anything for him. With Charmeleon flustered and Metalhead taking the full brunt of the attack, it was enough for Joey to chuck it all in and call it quits. As the Onix finally finished its massive screech, Joey let go of his ears, the ringing screech still more than a memory ringing in his ears. "Nnnnnnnngggh... I can't focus...!" His hand grasped the front of his head. A severe headache was now raging inside Joey's head. That Screech attack was terrifying. As Joey thought of how chaotic it was, a resolute smile came across his lips. "Perfect...!" Without any delay, his hands delved into his bag and retrieved a single Pokeball. As he examined it in the palm of his hand, he compared it to the monstrous Onix. "Will this thing REALLY fit inside such a small device...?"
Without debating matters any further, he arched his leg and with a curve ball motion, sprung the Pokeball at the Onix. It smacked into it pretty hard and caused the rocky Pokemon to groan in response. As the ball enveloped it in a red light, it disappeared wondrously. "Sweet mother of..." Gasped Joey as the Pokeball managed to contain it... For how long was another matter entirely. With baited breath, he looked on. Charmeleon and Metalhead only just recovering from Onix's previous attack.
