With Onix recoiling from the shock of being taken by surprise and scrapings its horn across the ceiling; Joey looked up in panic and darted even further away from the battlefield to dodge the falling debris. As a few rocks and boulders crashed to the floor Joey lept in the air and came to a crashing roll along the caves rocky floor. Charmeleon followed in suit, landing next to him and letting out a frustrated growl at the surprise free fall of rocks. Joey looked at his fiery lizard friend and shrugged. "Ergh... I bet Uragaan operates better out in the open." Joe climbed to his feet, dusting himself down before helping up his Pokemon. Charmeleon resumed its duty and waved its tail around before locating the pesky bat Pokemon. "Looks like it managed to dodge the debris. I'd hate for it to kick the bucket just now." His attention was soon turned to his own Pokemon in the fray. The rage that was building up inside Onix seemed immeasurable and was now so overwhelming, an aura of anger seemed to shimmer around its body. The Onix let out many deafening roars that forced all listening ears in the vicinity to cower with their ears covered lest their eardrums burst. "I know you're pissed but try and tone it down here, alright?! Getting crushed by own Pokemon ain't cool." Uragaan let out a final roar as its boulder like body coiled around the cave. With Charmeleon's help, it soon set its sights back on the troublesome bat. " Rage! Let it have it!" Yelled out Joey; although he wasn't particularly sure Uragaan was listening to his orders and was acting out of pure anger. The rock snake let out a few surprisingly fast strikes with its tail in the air that Zubat was occupying. Unfortunately the flying Pokemon was fast and managed to dodge its first few attempts. The tail went crashing into the cave's walls, leaving huge scars across. The amount of debris and dust now present was becoming something of a problem. Joey shook his head. "If this carries on we'll either get a rocky tomb or Uragaan won't be able to manoeuvre about...!" He looked to his Onix and with a deafening roar of his own, cried out to Uragaan. "Pull it together! Focus and THEN hit it with all your might!" The Uragaan seemed to calm itself slightly and allowed the Zubat to flutter around for a few moments, tiring itself out in the process. With the Zubat now seemingly following a predictable flight pattern, Uragaan reared its head up in the air and came crashing down on the bat Pokemon with its large than usual chin. OOC: I know Kat kindly saw to adding Bullet Seed into Eggbert's move list but I think his level update from 13 to 17 wasn't edited. Just letting you know.

Zubat swiveled around Uragaan’s head, trying to avoid being anywhere near the giant rock snake’s tail. Though Uragaan was surprisingly speedy, and swung his tail around to bring Zubat crashing to the cave floor once again. For a few minutes the bat lay motionless, but it soon twitched and was up in the air again. It was flittering around in what little shade it had, which was very scarce under the heavy glow of the fire. It knew it wasn’t going to get anywhere unless it had the chance where Uragaan might miss it, and even do some damage to himself. So in sucked in a breath, flew around Uragaan for a few more seconds, and released the soundwave by the side of the beast’s head. Uragaan roared, and it was clear his ears (wherever they were) were resounding. Uragaan wavered, the giant creature swaying back and forth, and if he wasn’t enraged before he was now! But now, it’s be a lot worse if the rage hit him, and it was clear this Zubat was a bit more clever than it let on. The Onix shook his head, trying to gain composure, but his head was throbbing. It was a troubling spot to be in, but it didn’t seem as horrible as it could have been. _____________________________________________________ VS.Wild Zubat |Level 15| Health: 75% (31/41 HP)Status: For the love of crap don't tip over!;Normal Attack: A successful Supersonic.

The shift in Uragaan's composure worried Joe. He looked to Charmeleon and voiced his concern. "I ain't sure WHAT that Zubat just did but... Uragaan doesn't quite seem his usual angry self. Sure he's still hellbent on smashing things but he looks... Outta control." A small gulp was heard between Joey and his Charmeleon before they took a sudden duck. The Onix had swung its tail around and had almost knocked them into the cave's wall. Hands on top of his head, Joey peered upwards and spoke faintly. "...That... THAT was close. I think we can safely assume it's confused... Err... Time to be tactful with it I do believe." Joe sat up slightly and tried to command his Pokemon once more. Before he could, the Zubat swooped down and fluttered frantically in front of his face. A small struggle ensued before Joey let rip a punch that sent the Zubat dashing away.
"Rarragagagrgrgrghah!" Roared Joey, who was becoming enveloped in a rage similar to his Onix. Charmeleon patted him on the back and pointed his tail towards Uragaan. Joey smiled as they now had the advantage. "Awesome! Uragaan might be able to focus properly now with the real enemy in front of him. "Uragaan! Continue using Rage! ...Just err... Hit the right target!" Joey then launched himself over a pile of boulders and peeped his head over the top of it. "Safety first eh, Charmeleon?" Charmeleon had suitable followed suit. The two looked on as the mountainous snake prepared itself to hit the flying nuisance once more. "Not long now. I doubt a thing that small can take any more of a beating."

******************************** Kat's Post******************************** Zubat seemed pleased enough with itself that the rock giant was confused. Would there to be hell to pay for it later? Sure! Did it care? That, it wasn’t sure on. It knew that it had to keep a move on though, so it continued to flutter around Uragaan continuously, hoping to confuse him even more. After all, a really annoying Pokémon that was the equivalent to the size of a squeaky toy to Uragaan was bound to do something that would bring him down eventually right? Pissed off and confused, Uragaan let out a roar that shook the very cave. Charmeleon almost lost balance but quickly regained his composure. Uragaan lifted his tail, and as if by complete accident, smacked the Zubar from the air. Zubat didn’t let itself fall to the floor this time, instead it came back up and disappeared into the shadows. When it reappeared, it was to startle the already confused rock snake, before continuing to flutter around in its annoying way while Uragaan recovered from the shock it gave him. _____________________________________________________ VS.Wild Zubat |Level 15| Health: 56% (23/41 HP)Status: Boo!;Normal Attack: A successful Astonish.

The constant fluttering and unpredictable movements of the Zubat had Joey at a loss. "Dammit... It's really annoying how it flies around like that. I bet your tail's gettin' tired, huh?" Charmeleon looked to him and responded with a grunt as it continued to try and focus its flame in the direction of the bat. A task that was proving more difficult than it sounded due to how erratic the Zubat was. Joey rubbed his neck and kicked a rock next to him. "He got me right on a vein! Grr..." He looked into his pockets and pulled out a bit of cloth he had on him. He tied it around tightly to try and suppress the amount of blood flow. "Hopefully that'll help. I doubt i'll bleed to death but it'd suck getting my favourite jacket all bloodied."
He looked back to his rock snake Pokemon and came to the realisation they had another move at their disposal. He cupped his mouth to try and project is voice so the huge Onix could hear. "Yo, Uragaan! I'm getting pissed off with its annoying movement, you're gettin' pissed off... How about you use Bind and wrap your long tail around it so you not only deal out some pain but keep it still? How about that, huh?" The Onix, still confused, did seem some sense in his words. It moved its tail around, examining it thoughtfully. It's eyes then shifted to the bat Pokemon with an angry leer. With Charmeleon's light it got a good idea of its position and then thrust its tail in the general area was Zubat in, hoping to wrap it around it.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Even though the Zubat's continuous fluttering kept it nearly out of sight, Uragaan was able to keep a fairly steady eye on it. His field of vision was a little blurry and off-kilter from confusion, but as he watched the bat swerving left and right, something clicked into place. His mind suddenly became crystal clear as he snapped out of the state of confusion the tricky little creature had put him in.
"Groaaaaaa!" Uragaan bellowed, rejoicing by slamming his tail down towards where he'd last seen the Zubat hovering about, feelings of pleasure doubled when he felt something small smack into one of the stones that made up his tail. He curled his tail around and managed to wrap it snugly around the Zubat before raising it in the air and letting them all see the annoying pest.
Uragaan almost looked as if he were smirking as he coiled his tail tighter, eliciting sharp cries of pain from the bat. Even Charmeleon looked amused by the change in battle, although it wasn't for long; he noticed the Zubat had stopped struggling around and was rubbing its face along one of the boulders in Uragaan's tail. The lizard cried out a warning, but it came a little too late. With another shriek, it darted for the niche between two stones and bit down on the small sliver of flesh that connected the rock snake's stones together.
The resulting howl of agony from Uragaan nearly deafened them all, and caused a fair few rocks and silt to come sliding down from the cave ceiling. Once again, the Zubat struggled to extricate itself from the crushing grip Uragaan had on it, but failed miserably naturally. It lay against one of the stones holding it and panted heavily, exhausted by its efforts to free itself. Wild Pokémon Battle

Despite nearly being splattered all over the cave walls with the falling rocks, the successful binding of Uragaan's tail around the flighty little Zubat made Joey smash his fist up in the air and let out a triumphant roar of gratitude. "Haha, you got him Uragaan! That was pretty smooth going. Now we've got things suitably in our favour." Joey turned to Charmeleon and shrugged comically. "I dunno bud, shall we capture this fast little bat? He could be a pretty good asset to the team. We could use his speeds for a number of things AND he can double as a carrier pidgeon... Urgh... A BLIND carrier pidgeon-bat thing..." He faltered somewhat as he went on but he himself knew what he meant. "I think we should capture it." Charmeleon let its tail hang naturally and looked at Joey with an annoyed scowl. It eventually sighed and nodded reluctantly.
"Yeah I know, I need to stop capturing stuff but this'll be it for sometime." He turned before muttering to himself quietly. "Unless we find some other Pokemon with talents so good we can't refuse." Joey rummaged in his pockets once more and retrieved yet another unused Pokeball. Charmeleon looked at him with a confused stare before Joey shrugged himself. "Don't know myself, really. Pockets seem to be able to hold a lotta stuff. I still have about ten Pokeballs left... Anyway..." He released the safety lock and looked to where the Zubat was. "This is gonna be a tricky shot. Uragaan's pretty much lost it and is binding it pretty tightly meaning that its not holding still... I think I can line it up though..." He closed one eye while taking a good few minutes to get a good aim. With a swift lob of the Pokeball it went straight towards the flying Pokemon, hitting it right on the head.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Zubat wasn't about to go anywhere soon, thanks to the death grip it was in thanks to Uragaan. Though the small bat looked perilously close to being strangled, the Onix seemed to be relenting just a little, because his opponent perishing in the middle of battle wasn't exactly something he was keen on. He experimented a little by tweaking his tail, making the Zubat squeak in a very raspy voice.
Reluctantly he loosened his grip just in time to see a red and white sphere soar by his head and smack into the Zubat's head square between its ears. Realizing what it meant, the Onix shot a murderous look at his trainer, missing the ball springing open and relieving him of his soon-to-be-strangling victim. The ball clattered to the cave floor as Uragaan continued giving Joey a lethal stink eye.
The Poké Ball quivered and rocked back and forth in a repetitive manner for several moments before coming to a halt, dinging out once. Uragaan, distracted by this, turned his head to stare at the silent, motionless ball before fully turning around to glare at Joey. What kind of battle had that been? Paired off against a... a... flying bloodsucking bat mobile!?
Congrats, you caught the wild Zubat, but Uragaan is about to murder you so... I'M OUTTA HERE! Fill out this form superquick!

At last the pesky vampire of a bat was caught and added to Joey's ranks. "I'm definitely going to be making use of this one. Fits in with my kinda image too." He smiled contently as he added the Pokeball to his belt along with the numerous other conquests he had snagged. As he let out a sigh of relief, he noticed Charmeleon was glaring back in the Onix's direction and jumped from his skin. Uragaan was looking a lot less than happy with his trainer and Joey realised he was still set in his rage. "Oh... Yeah, about that. I had to make sure you were fit for fightin' y'know?" He scratched the back of his neck. "Look, next time i'll use ya I got a load of chumps lined up for you to squash. They're with the person who scuppered all over your body earlier. Those guys clad in black, with the big red R on their chests." Uragaan slammed his tail at the thought and let out a truly deafening roar. Before things could get any uglier, Joey lobbed the Pokemon's Pokeball at it and returned the beast to him. "Phew... He'll settle down. Guess he's just a bit cranky." Joey placed the rocky snake back on his belt and placed his hands together before stretching them out to crack his knuckles. "Let's just see..." He took Zubat and called him out. "Hey, thanks for that bite back there." The Zubat snickered to itself as it hung upside down from a nearby stalagmite, its wings wrapped around it's body. "Listen, you're part of my crew now so you'll be following my orders, y'hear? Unless you want my Onix to eat you whole." The Zubat thought things over and conceded; that huge behemoth was too much for it to handle. "Now, I know a bit about your species. You're fast, sneaky and like to fight a bit indirect. You're something i'm definitely looking for so welcome to the group." Zubat nodded at the salutation. "I already got a nickname lined up for you too." He rubbed his neck and sighed. "How about Vlad? Fits in with that Vlad Tepes guy. You certainly earned it." Zubat swung open its wings and covered its body at the sound of the name; it was very fitting indeed. Joey nodded, content he had formed a bond with the Zubat. "Right, back you go." He retrieved Vlad and then placed him with his other Pokemon. "Say Charmeleon, when we get out i'm gonna order the biggest steak for us to chow on. We've more than earnt it. I'll even try and get you some charcoal to feast on." Charmeleon licked its lips before pointing towards the exit. "Yeah, yeah, let's get goin'." Taking a small swig from his hip flash, they began moving their way towards the exit but just to the left of the cave opening was the most peculiar looking boulder. "The hell's this thing? It looks like any other rock but that looks waaaay too much like a nose..." He shook his head and tutted to himself. "Been in this cave too long and seeing things. Next thing you know the cave exit will look like a mouth or whatever." Looking back to the oddly shape rock, he raised his leg and gave it a swift boot. While the impact was hard and likely did more damage to Joey, it nonetheless felt good. "Heh. Stupid cave." The duo trudged on and they came to just before the cave. Joey looked to Charmeleon and nodded to him with baited breath. The Charmeleon waved his tail back to look at the cave behind them and the two stared into the darkened abyss as a memento of their stay here. "Y'know, I am really REALLY going to avoid this place at all costs. Next time we'll hike OVER. Hopefully the next cave won't be so bad." Charmeleon let out a small roar in definite agreement and Joey patted him on the back. "C'mon buddy, let's get out of here." Their feet passed the exit and proceeded to land on hallowed ground; that of a nice grassy texture. Joey covered his eyes as he adjusted to the light outside from being in a darkened cave for so long. He had finally made it. He jumped in the air, punching his fists as high as he could in the sky. "Oh yeah! We made it!" Charmeleon was equally happy too; it's tail was becoming very sore after being used so liberally as a torch. Joey let out a triumphant sigh and grinned. "It ain't over yet. We best make a move on if we're going to find out what's going on here in Azalea. C'mon!" With that, they began running onwards, away from the cave that had confined them for so long. ZubatName: Vlad Gender: Male Level: 15 Moves: Leech Life, Supersonic, Astonish, Bite Ability: Inner Focus Nature/Personality: Having first met Joey in Union Cave and greeting him with a bite to the neck, the name of Vlad seemed fitting for this bat Pokemon. Coupled with the fact he is also persistently annoying in his interaction with others means that many regard him as a pest.
