Tales have been told of Unova: a faraway region bearing newfound beasts and sprawling metropolises, and with each fall, the ships off Castelia's docks set towards regions beyond the seas to present to them gifts as only Unovans know how to! Rare and exclusive Pokemon found nowhere within the neighboring regions make their appearance for sale and trade underneath the watchful eye of an old veteran known only as Commander Badass (Call him by nothing else, you maggots) Ever mindful of new recruits and the importance of strength and skill in a trainer, his peddles his wares based on a Trainer's achievements---the better you are, the more you stand to gain! Think you're good enough for the best? Let the man who has been through it all and caught the monsters to tell the story be the judge! The Unovan Mercade offers something for everybody, from world-reknown Castelia Cones recognized by connoisseurs as the best ice cream in all of the region (One a piece, children, don't push now!) to the glittering glories of the Gem Sisters whose wares, able to power up Pokemon moves of all types are exclusive to Unova's underground. With their products flying hot off the shelves, these gems are only available to those bearing the Zephyr badge, so better get working to that goal, trainers! For those who make fighting less a trainer necessity and more a way of living, the Battle Stall, Wings Stand and businessman Aaron Stone's Wonder Tent offer their goods to trainers looking to Hulk-Smash their opponents into next week and take their words for it; You will. From offense-oriented trainers to defense specialists, their stalls offer a deal for all and if you've got the money? They've got your name on something. Don't forget to participate in the mercade lottery, which offers an honest-to-goodness Deerling from Unovan forests as its grand prize, with rare TMs, battle items and Wings. What have you got to lose? One ticket per city visited, so get yours today! Last but not least, somewhere between these stalls if you manage to come upon it is an unnamed stall run by a man whose wares will not be readily accessible to the public eye, perhaps for a good reason as well, but if one were to judge from the steady stream of people who walk off with a smile from his sales, a deal with the devil couldn't be too bad now, could it? Find out for yourself and more at the Unovan Festival, only here from July till August, so get your gears working and your cash flowing for the biggest sale in Johto History!
SEE YOU THERE!

I cannot tell you how long i've been waiting for this event to show itself and have the chance to obtain some of the fifth generation Pokemon. Sure some lampoon them for being OMG TOO OVER DESIGNED or they just flat out don't like them but they've really grown on me and some of them have infinite amounts of character that will be more than fun to roleplay out in the forum. Constantly high Scraggy off of Koffing's fumes anyone?I can definitely tell my money is about to take a huge drop as there's quite a lot I have my eye on. D: Which works out as i'm hardly going to sell this on much else If you guys even dare consider selling Darumaka later on for 120,000 I will gut someone!Oh and one question which I am sure is bound to be asked by others but I noticed Snivy is one of the starter Pokemon available. What happened to Tepig and Oshawott? Did the rabid Gen-V haters lynch them before they could make an appearance?!

Only one Unova starter is available per festival. In 3 months, a different one will be available

Ah thanks for the information! You guys best do Tepig next. I need to lay off the strike-through. If the festival does restock the starter Pokemon choice in three months time, does this mean that other Pokemon available from Commander Badass will be changed as well?

That's good then, I was hoping to spend a bit on Timburr and Roggenrola (Bloody love that name ;D) but seeing as Goldenrod is a far off dream for now I was worried they'd get the switcheroo. Once i've finished up my posts for today i'm going to really go all out with my purchases (Not buying everything, just roleplaying wise )

Okay boys and girls, it is now August 1st for everybody in the world, unless if you live in Hawaii or something. And as such, the first ZapdosZulu Unova Festival has come to a close! The turn out was pretty good as we stole a great amount of cash from you pathetic saps sold a good deal of merchandise that we hope you'll enjoy! From rare items to Pokemon from the Unova Region, maybe it'll give you the edge you need in your role plays!
Don't worry, because this isn't the end of the Festival! It'll be back come November 1st with a new selection of merchandise to choose from (maybe). One thing is for certain: The Starter Pokemon available for purchase next time will be Tepig! Will there be any other choices? Only one way to find out!
See ya next November!
(Oh, and for anybody who maybe purchased something before time was up or didn't claim their prize from the lottery before the festival was put into storage, do not worry. I'll be personally checking through the threads on closer detail to make sure everybody gets what they bought/won prior to the event coming to a close. You won't be forgotten, though I am certain I got everything before closing. But it never hurts to be safe than sorry.)

Sad to see this event come to a close for the time being. The whole format and items on sale were really nice and its definitely been one of the better events i've seen organised here. Looking forward to when it rolls in next time.

Definitely one of the better events I've been part of I'll definitely jump right in for the next one and *****yesTepig. The items are killer---the're gonna make a massive difference to gym battles everywhere especially Eviolites and Rocky Helmets and I'll be damned if I don't pick up one or two more of those gorgeous stones for pack training when the festival opens again.

I am in total agreement with you. I think they might have even been quite generously priced! Nevertheless, they were very much welcome and made a nice change from the standard stock found in Cherrygrove and Violet's Pokemarts. It was cool! Too bad i'm too poor T.T !!! Woo for Tepig though! *hoardes money* I spy another Tepig fan. ;D At least this time you'll be prepared for when the event is reopened. For now, just go and deck every trainer in the RP you can find and loot them of their savings.
