The busy mother was always occupied with housework, while the father was often absent for the sake of 'work'. The situation in her house has always left her in loneliness, longing for friendship she hoped she would be able to get outside the house. Thus the young girl tried to befriend other children in the neighbourhood, but was often picked on because of her distinct features.
The incident soon turned the girl into a total shut-in, hardly leaving the house unless with her own family. This began to worry the parents, feeling responsible for her behaviour. The father then decided to retire from his 'work', and instead spend time with his daughter. Sephiria began to get closer to the father, eventually finding out that her dad's previous job was a mercenary. Her interest gave the father hope to use his experience as a common conversation topic, telling her stories of his past and even planning for her an easy training course, recommending that she try it for a living.
Sephiria began to undergo training, beginning with a regular workout course, to learning survival skills. By her current age, she was able to complete her 'course'. Only one thing remained, her father revealed to her that having pokemons was essential as a mercenary, and suggested that she should have a few. This triggered her desire to travel the around the region to catch pokemons. Of course, her understanding father stopped opposing the idea after being convinced that she is independent enough to do so. As she embarked on her journey around the region, she was hired by a rich family, the Martinozzi, to persuade the run-away son of theirs to return to the household. Since the request coincides with her journey, Sephiria accepted the request to search for the Martinozzi son.
