The blanket of darkness which weaved though out Dark Cave didn't seem to keep Sharada from venturing into anymore rocky caves. The temptation of finding one much lighter pretty much right next door to the one on Route 29 was too much of an opportunity to pass up. She was pretty lucky at how lit up this one was really, seeing as she had placed Mareep back in the storage unit over at the Pokemon Center. Instead, she had a rather odd companion with her which didn't have the ability to use flash.
As the female stepped carefully along the rocky mounds of earth, a cream coloured cat was perched on her shoulder. Grinning manically at the Zubats which flapped frantically above Sharada's head, her childish screams echoing throughout the cave as they attempted to swoop at her. Cheshire, her Meowth, was drawing them near with his feeble cries, attempting to swipe at them playfully. Flapping creatures always seemed to attract this cat rather than gold coins or balls of yarn. Having enough of his little games, Sharada plucked him by the scruff of the neck, leaning forward and placing him on the floor, "Enough of that, you little rascal."
Although confused in his mind as to why his trainer suddenly stopped walking, his trade mark insane grin never seemed to leave his face. His sharp fangs staying on display as he watched her kneel to the ground, just what was she doing? Pushing her hands into her bag, Sharada pulled out an extendable fishing rod and had begun setting everything up, "We're here to do some fishing. So make sure you give me a hand."
Fangs still plastered across his face, Cheshire plonked himself fairly close to the water's edge, creepily staring at it's reflection on the water's surface. Raising an eyebrow, Sharada flicked her wrist forwards, casting the line into the water. Now all they had to do was wait and see what would perhaps grab the line first. Though the main thing on her mind was that Cheshire's reflection wouldn't scare everything away. He sure was a strange cat sitting so close to the water in the first place.
OOC: Ooh goodness, I realised it's a little busy in here so feel free to reply whenever you have the time. Also, since I'm using an Old Rod the pokemon should only be between Level 5 - 10 according to the information listed in lake thread. I noticed that in Kat's thread she used a Old Rod and got things what were like, level 19 which I think was perhaps wrong lol.

{OOC:It's alright it is great practice for when I become a Trainee Mod. As for the level At first I did fishing pokemon levels around the average level of the team and Alex asked me if I would change it to lv 5-10 for and Old Rod and I said I would which is why she caught such higher level ones. I hope you do not mind the change and if the staff approves I will gladly cahnge it back.} IC: The Underground lake was a pretty popular fishing spot for trainers on their way to Violet CIty since it was located in the same vicinity as the Dark Cave and the water type pokemon that appeared in the lake. There were rumors that those who brought a Super Rod could capture High level pokemon as well as Tentacool which somehow or another had adapted to survive in fresh water found in the lake. This is why Fisher's loved coming here in order to find one of the rare fresh water Tentacool. As the ability to survive in Fresh Water made them perfect for hunting Gyarados in the Lake of Rage especially once they evolved. Their poison could subdue to beast so they could capture it. The other pokemon in the lake were also popular to catch as well. Goldeen was a beautiful Mermaid fish that when evolved would win a contest with almost no trouble. THey could fight back pretty good to despite not being the largest thing you could imagine. They also starred in plays and movies as partners to mermaids since they shared the beauty of a mermaid. The Final pokemon trainers and fisherman would rarely try to capture. Magikarp were among the most disliked pokemon known to inhabit the lake. Those who did knew the pokemon's potential however due to it's final form Gyarados which was a force to be reckoned with and why only strong trainers had one on their team. That is why Magikarp in the lake liked to play trick's on trainers who went fishing in the lake. They saw it as a kind of revenge for all the times they were rejected. Luckily for Sharada she came when the Magikarp were worn out from all of their tricks. A Goldeen made it's way towards her hook and bit down as hard as it could. It ended up injuring it's mouth on the hook but it still refused to let go. As it was reeled to the surface it had a pretty angry look on it's face. This Goldeen had been in 10 fights already today and it beat every trainer it had fought. It was hoping the next one would be a better challenge than the last ten had been. As it looked around the cave it could tell only a single trainer was here. Goldeen decided it might as well give it another go it might just turn out better than the last 10 fight's had. A Wild lv 10 Goldeen appeared. Would you like to battle or Run.

Whilst waiting for a fish to bite on the end of her hook, Sharada took a swift look around the interior of this particular cave. Light flooded in from the entrance making it somewhat of a welcoming cave. If it had been pitch black, she probably would've thought twice about entering. Afterall, the thought of an amazingly huge, unknown Pokemon or perhaps a lingering person who hid in the shadows terrified her. Atleast sitting by the lake was right at the entrance so if there was even the slightly sign of anything suspicious she could probably roll out within an instant.
"Meeeooowwaaarr!" Noticing the bobbing of her rod, Cheshire was able to capture the attention of Sharada just in the nick of time. Swiftly grabbing the hilt of the rod she began reeling it in manically before pulling upward with a sharp tug, tearing whatever was hanging on the end of her rod out of the water and onto the surface. As the fish flew over the top of her head and began flailing about on the ground behind her, Sharada staggered up to her feet to examine what she had just caught, Cheshire following in tow.
What a beautiful Pokemon she seemed to have landed! It's frilly fins and pretty colours lit her eyes up in excitement. Even Cheshire had his eyes open a little more than usual but perhaps that was because he saw the fish as dinner. Rubbing her hands together greedily, she pondered to herself, there was no way she was going to let this one escape. With the Goldeen bouncing about on the land, Sharada turned to her trusty companion, "Alright Cheshire! Scratch it!" With a pleasing purr, the scruffy Meowth lunged forwards, a deathly grin curving from ear to ear.
OOC: That's alright and thanks for replying! And I'm fine with any level really, Cheshire probably wont do too well only being Level 5 lmao.

As Cheshire pointed out the catch to Sharada the fish she had hooked caught a glimpse of the cat. The Goldeen knew how pesky Meowth could be but it also knew of their fear of water. This is why it put it's head under the water before the battle began to force Cheshire to get wet. Goldeen knew Meowth had a fear of water to such an extent Goldeen thought it would not even try and attack. From underneath the water Goldeen launched a Supersonic attack at Cheshire. It was such a powerful wave of sound that it hurt the poor cat's ears and caused it to become confused. It managed to scratch the fish despite being underwater since it was so confused the cat forgot about it's fear of water for a moment. It at least avoided damage this round but that confusion was not a very good sign. The Goldeen then looked at the cat as it seemed to lose it's balance. It was glad to see it was at least no going to give up even if it had a level disadvantage. Wild Pokemon Battle

With the fish fluttering along the water's surface, Sharada could tell that this might end up being a bit of a strange battle. Whilst she would understand that most cats are afraid of water, her other kitty Devia hated the stuff, Cheshire was odd in the fact that the touch of water didn't bother him in the slightest. After living out in the wilderness for so long perhaps he actually wanted a have a wash. Either way it was impossible to tell what he was really thinking or feeling all she knew was that he had a deathly glare now glazed over his eyes.
Extending his claws to the best of his ability, Cheshire approached the water's surface as close as he needed to before taking a furious swipe downwards. His attack was successful as the pretty fish submerged for a moment but as it reappeared with a counter attack of it's own, the effect was something Sharada didn't expect to happen. The sound waves seemed to have gotten through to the cat and with such horrifying grins plastered across his face the idea of him turning against her for a moment scared her a little. Gulping, she looked at the maniac of a cat before cautiously ordering her attack despite his confused state, "Scratch it again, Cheshire! Dont let some fish beat ya."

Goldeen had recovered from the amazement of a cat getting wet and showing no fear. It knew this was mostly due to it's confusion which it still was in although it was wearing off fast. Goldeen knew the best option was to try and lower the cat's defense this time around to make sure it's next hit would do increased damage. It used Tail Whip attack and splashed the cat with water. It did not do any damage but it forced the cat to let it's guard down. This however meant as long as Cheshire could keep it's head together it would get to hit Goldeen again without taking any damage. Despite being barely able to stand due to losing it's balance from confusion it manged to make it's way over to the fish. It used Scratch attack again as if it was hunting for dinner and cut Goldeen yet again which now had taken pretty good damage despite being of a higher level. It flailed about in pain as it tried to cover it's wound. It now was very angry at this cat and was going to make sure it learned it's lesson in the next round. Wild Pokemon Battle

It had taken her a little while but it seemed Sharada had slowly began to twig on what the Goldeen's game plan was. Whittling away Cheshire's defenses and making him so that he couldn't think straight, that was a pretty clever move considering it was a mere fish. Her eyes glanced to her feline friend, he was definitely starting to act a little strange. Known for his huge grin, it was pretty much now that for the first time ever, the corners of his lips were starting to droop. Due to the confused state even he was finding it difficult to keep up his trademark appearance.
With the Goldeen swimming about in the water still, it was fairly lucky that Cheshire managed another swipe. However, if things were to go according to the fishes plans, it could probably finish the poor cat off within the next hit or so and that wouldn't be the most pleasant thought. She obviously had other team members if things got rough but that was besides the point. This was supposed to be Cheshire's fight, it was almost insulting to call him back now. Crossing her fingers in hope he would survive, let alone attack, Sharada took a gamble of a move, "Scratch it again Cheshire!"

As Goldeen tried to patch it's wound it noticed that Cheshire was still standing right next to the lake. As it stood there watching the Goldeen Cheshire had no idea the fish was about to leap into the air and peck the cat using it's horn. The Goldeen though for sure a single jab would be enough to knock it out however Cheshire had just enough defense and heath left to get back up. This was a little surprising to Goldeen but none the less it still had the upper hand in this fight. The only thing it had not accounted for was for Cheshire to recover from confusion so fast. Before the fish could plop back into the water the cat scratched it for a third time. It seemed to hurt the fish pretty badly however it slipped from the cat''s grasp before it could be eaten and managed to hop back in the water. It did not want to risk getting close unless it had to knowing how sharp the cats claws were but if it was the only way to knock it out it would. Goldeen decided to wait to see what happened next before it took this risk and see what Sharada would do next. Wild Pokemon Battle

Being pleased that Cheshire was able to get it's grin back and snapped out of it's confused state, the amount of damage dealt by the Goldeen pretty much forced her to change her tactics. Sure, Cheshire will end up being annoyed and all but there was no way he would be able to survive the next hit and actually survive. "Cheshire, stand down!" The cat glared manically back to Sharada, was he not good enough? No, perhaps he was slacking himself and coming across as a burden. For this one time, he decided to take the backseat, retreating back slowly to Sharada's side where he could rest peacefully for the next time to be called upon.
The Goldeen wasn't going to sleep from her sights though, no sir. Rather than wanting to catch it for being pretty she was now seething at the amount of damage it had done to her feline companion. With a toss of her wrist, she sent forth another Pokemon, hoping he was last a little better. As the light died down, a rather regal Doduo stood proudly. Expecting to be surrounded by lavish greenery, it was disgusted with the sight of dark and damp rocks, a small lake flowing nearby his claws. Why was he called out in such a disgusting place? The amount of damp would ruin his perfect appearance for sure.
Squawking all sorts of Pokemon expletives to his trainer, Sharada rolled her eyes angrily, "Just get to it, Horus! Use Peck on that Goldeen!" With one head looking snootily down his beak at his trainer, the other took in their surroundings, picking up on the Goldeen which floated along the waters surface, staring at the new opponent angrily. As the head passed all the information to the other they began to bickering for a short moment before sending a stare back to Sharada as if to say, 'there is no way I am sticking my beak near that thing'. Sharada gritted her teeth angrily, she didn't have time for all this, "I'll get you sorted for the best grooming session you have ever experienced if you act like a Pokemon and get to it!"
Yapping their beaks as if to mimic her, the two headed bird glared down to the water, their beaks twitching a little in anticipation. Though hesitant at first to put their beautiful beaks into the dirty water, perhaps they did want to vent their anger out on something. Drawing their head backwards, they both began to rapidly strike their beaks into the waters surface one after the other. It was practically impossible to miss because either way, two heads covered more ground than one.

OOC:Wow this house has sprung to life. Almost 10 people using it now. Sorry it took so long to get to this my computer just came back to life after being slow most of the day. After this I will reply to Lucky and then everyone else I can get to before the end of the night. Thank you for being so patient.} IC: Goldeen had managed to keep the upper hand despite a few set backs in it's plan. It knew that after the last round it would be hard to still win this fight if Sharada switched pokemon which is exactly what she did. Then out of the new pokeball appeared a two headed bird named Horus. Horus like most Doduo had a hard time getting both of it's heads to agree but when both heads worked together it was a pretty powerful pokemon and since fish was one of the best tasting meals for a bird it's mouth's started to drool upon seeing the Goldeen. Goldeen surely did not want to be the birds dinner but had little chance of escaping two heads and as such knew unless it could get the heads to argue it would be sushi in no time. Goldeen as fast as it was still could not match the speed of Horus however and took a direct hit from peck. The good news is that Goldeen was a high enough level and did not get knocked out even though the peck attack had left it crippled. Trying to come up with anything to beat the over sized bird Goldeen used Tail Whip out of sheer determination to not go down. It lowered the bird pokemon's defense but with how little hp it had left that would matter little. Horus then went back over to Sharada hoping she would let him peck the fish and this time eat the poor thing. Horus being a loyal pokemon did not want to attack without permission despite how much it wanted to take one more peck at the fish. Wild Pokemon Battle

Sharada had allowed Cheshire to clamber up onto her shoulder to watch the remainder of the battle. The cream coloured feline was still a little soggy due to the water what was splashed on to by Goldeen's Tail Whip but the female trainer wasn't all that fussed, as long as he was alright. With a now wet shoulder, she lifted her opposite arm and began to pet the Meowth's head comfortingly as Horus let rip of the little fish, "There, there. Perhaps you can have a go at the next battle." Oddly, he let out a gentle purr which was so unlike him.
Before having the chance to check him over to really make sure he was alright, a loud squawk from her Doduo turned her head. It was pathetic really. Goldeen had used Tail Whip to her advantage once more and had splattered water all over his mighty feet! If Sharada hadn't been prepared, the little fish would most likely have been their supper or atleast left dead on the waters surface.
Before another beak could even approach the mermaid like fish, Sharada took a spare Pokeball from her bag and tossed it furiously. With a tap, the light engulfed the fish and the ball tapped onto the ground. With many eyes staring at the wobbling ball, it was just a matter of time to see if it had been captured or not.
OOC: Aww, I noticed that it has become a little busy in here. I think if this captures I'll just leave it at that and come back at a later date when it everything calms down. It'll give you one less thing to reply to lol. xP Thanks anyways~

OOC: Oh that's alright I wanted to get some practice before becoming a trainee mod and boy have I been getting it. My house has almost caught up to Joey's already in terms of posts and threads which is pretty cool. You do not have to leave unless you want to since the more practice I get before becoming a trainee mod the better.} IC: As Sharada tossed the pokeball Goldeen was having a starring contest with Horus and right as it blinked the ball hit the back of the Goldeen's tail. A brilliant flash of red light filled the cave as it disappeared into the pokeball. Goldeen was pretty worn out after the battle with Cheshire and Horus so it had little energy to wiggle out of the ball. As if tried it;s best it realized it was not going to escape from the ball and gave up the fight. After rocking for a third time the pokeball came to a complete stop and remained motionless on the ground as it made a click sound. Goldeen had been captured after a tough fight. Horus and Cheshire wished they could have eaten the fish but realized it may be a good partner. As Goldeen started to rest in it's pokeball Cheshire and Horus started to celebrate. They had not only won the battle but they had also gained experience from the fight which boosted their levels. Now Sharada had a chance to either leave or she could try her luck at fishing again and maybe find another pokemon in the lake. Congratulations Goldeen has been captured. Returning the fairly chattery Horus back into his ball with a shake of her head, Sharada stepped forward and lifted up the Goldeen's Pokeball, Cheshire leaning across her shoulders trying to swipe the sphere like object from her hands playfully. That or he wasn't a fan of this mermaid like fish. Settling the ball back into her back, Sharada lifted the soggy cat from her shoulders, sacrificing her autumn scarf to dry him down, "Fish, eh?" Hoping he would make more of an affectionate grin for once it was both fortunate and unfortunate to see his manic grin spread from ear to ear. With a shrug of her shoulder's she sat back down in front of the rod. "Psch, I wouldn't want you to change anyway." she whispered softly, the cat tilting his head as she tossed the line back into the water, her quiet words puzzling him.

OOC: I've kinda left the thread as if they were carrying on but there is no need to reply anytime soon. If it's alright with you, I'll just nudge you in a PM once I'm ready. :3 But I'll definitely be back in the near future. This is indeed great practice though, I couldn't see any obvious mistakes~
The only thing which you missed for me was the Happiness points for Horus/Cheshire. It can be a little confusing/easy to forget but it doesn't bother me because, a) they dont need it to evolve and b) I can just add it in myself lol. Modding for people means you need to back track quite a bit to make sure they have done things like the Happiness Quest or you need to check their items to make sure they aren't holding something like an Evolite Stone, Lucky Egg or a berry. But yes, no worries! From what I have seen you are doing pretty well and have nicely sized, detailed posts, so well done! ^^

{OOC:I noticed you have been waiting the longest for a reply now so I thought I would reply since I really enjoy doing this. Artmage just started using my house as well which is even more practice which is great for when I become a trainee mod. Sorry about the happiness I keep forgetting about it but finally remembered it in Joeys post I will make sure to check from now on. Thank you for finding that mistake.} IC: Sharada had just had some pretty good luck fishing in the lake last time around. Hooking a Goldeen on her first try. Not only did she capture the Goldeen but it helped make her team stronger by gaining levels as well. This along with the fact that one other pokemon in the lake were both good reasons to try her luck fishing again. Since Goldeen was captured it only made sense to try and find a Magikarp and raise it into a Gyarados. SOme Magikarp in the lake were past due for evolution however lived to deep for an old rod to lure them out. However an Old Rod could still hook one that was on it's way to evolution with a bit of luck. As Sharada put her line back into the water everything was still for a few minutes. After a little while the line started to shake with a bite that was hardly noticeable. SHarada had hooked a pokemon and began to reel it in and before long could make out what it was. It was a Magikarp that had bitten on the hook and was fighting to break free. She managed to pull it to the surface however and it had a sad look on it's face. It did not want a fight but had no means to get away from Sharada. All Magikarp could do was hope that Sharada would let it go or things may not end up to well for it. A wild lv7 Magikarp appeared would you like to battle or run.

Re-entering the cave after a short break, Sharada had decided to venture back into the damp rocky walls with a new change of team members in her possession. Upon seeing how well Cheshire had put up with water, Sharada had hoped another one of her felines could perhaps feel the same, although she highly doubted it since any normal cat hated water. With a shrug of her shoulders, the brunette found herself wandering a little deeper into the cave this time, finding a row of rocks which ranged in different heights along the edge of the water. Plonking herself down somewhat comfortably, the Rocket recruit began to explore in her bag before drawing out a thin wooden fishing rod.
With a single sharp flick of her wrist, the Old fishing rod extended itself, leaving her to merely thread the line and attach the hook before it was ready to begin fishing again. Tossing the line into the water, Sharada began to sway her feet backwards and forwards, fidgeting out impatiently as she waited for the line to sink so she could hook her prize. Instead, her eyes began to wander around the walls, a sigh softly escaping her lips as she was reminded just how much she hated caves. The horrible closed in feeling sent a small flurry of panic through her veins -- but recalling previous memories would have to wait.
Feeling her old rod begin to tug, Sharada snapped her line of sight to the end of her rod, only to see it bending right over! Cursing under her breath, the brunette held the rod in her hands tightly and with a single, sharp tug, yanked whatever was under the water's surface right out. Trying to work out just what it was as the fish flew over head, she became somewhat disappointed to see it was just a Magikarp. Well, any sort of training material was welcome. Selecting a Pokeball from her belt, the brunette tossed the object forward, watching as her violet coloured Purrloin emerged, her face wincing in disgust as rogue drops of water flew off from the Magikarp's scales and hit her directly in the face. Although, it looked tasty all the same. Smirking, Sharada clicked her fingers, "All'right, Devia! Use Snarl on this Magikarp! Lets see how tough my little gift from Joe is."
OOC: I noticed your note in the cbox about me not having replied to this thread for a few months and in all honesty, I had completely forgotten about it! D: If you're alright with me sticking around I'd like to battle about some more~
