The sun was absolutely horrendous. The waves of heat beat down on the team as they continued walking. Mikoto had the map opened in her hands, panting heavily. They had been walking for who knows how long, and by now even Akao could not bear the extreme temperatures.
"Char char?" Akao squealed weakly, dragging her tiny legs to walk on. Mikoto turned around, and looked at her two Pokemon.
"It's okay, we'll get there soon...I hope..." Mikoto said, sighing. As they slowly walked, Ferra saw an abandoned warehouse nearby, and yipped happily, dashing ahead to find some shade.
"A-ah! Ferra!" Mikoto called out, chasing after the Pokemon. Akao followed suit, running after the girl to find the Zigzagoon. When they had arrived, the door was slightly open, and cool air seeped through. Ferra already squeezed through the doors, and was inside, curled up and sleeping peacefully. Mikoto held onto one of the doors, and pulled. The door creaked, and slowly slid open, the eerie sound echoing through the warehouse. The inside was much cooler and more pleasant, and Mikoto sat down next to Ferra.
"I guess it's alright if we rested a bit in here, right Akao?" Mikoto said. Akao nodded, and curled up next to the girl and Ferra, closing her eyes for a little nap. Mikoto petted them both, and pulled out a book from her bag to read a bit.

Considering the old dilapidated warehouse was under the guise it was abandoned, the female trainer would easily be forgiven to think that it was empty and therefore nobody would mind her short excursion into the worn down ruin. After all, many other a Pokemon trainer had made the same mistake. In this world of adventure it seemed that there were a great number of people who ventured into the unknown and seemingly the most mundane of places. However, as she entered in to the large and empty main interior of the warehouse and began to indulge herself in a nap, one of the many wild residents that called this once proud warehouse its home decided to make itself known. Spinning a web from its patterned abdomen, one of the more common denizens that were to be found in this warehouse was slowly coming into view as it descended from the murky ceiling above. It continuously span and span so that it could use the new found webbing as a climbing rope of sorts. It got ever closer and noticed much to its chagrin that a person had once again stumbled on into its home. Letting out a small shrieking hiss, it let go of the rope and without much delay, plopped itself down on Mikoto's head. Angry that it hadn't been enough to stir her from her slumber, the spider then began to spin around in circles using its legs to poke at the top of her head. Encounter

Cool breeze blew about in the warehouse, causing Mikoto to nod off. She went to put her book away, but felt a tiny itch on her head. She scratched the itch for a moment, but instead felt something.....quite large perched atop. She shook her head, hoping that whatever it was would come off. That didn't seem to work, so she just raised her hand and wrapped her fingers, unknowingly, around the Spinarak's body. Of course, when she met it eye to eye, the girl let out quite a terrified scream.
The scream echoed through the warehouse, and woke up the sleeping Ferra and Akao, who jumped about and looked around in high alert. Mikoto threw the Spinarak in fear, and for a moment she freaked out. Taking a few deep breaths, however, she calmed down somewhat, and tried to tell the Spinarak she meant no harm. However, it seems the spider Pokemon would not hear of it, and wanted to battle instead.
"Alright Ferra, can you please battle?" Mikoto asked. The raccoon nodded, and jumped into battle. She was slightly grumpy after a rude awakening from her wonderful nap in the cool warehouse. "Tail Whip!" Mikoto called. The Zigzagoon yipped, and playfully wagged its tail, putting on its cute act.

Enamoured by the Zigzagoon's cute little act of the ruffly tail, it seemed like the hideous looking arachnid actually had quite a soft spot for all things cute. Swaying from side to side in strict metronome with Ferra's movements, it was as if the spider had dropped the majority of its guard. Still waggling, Ferra was pretty sure she had seen one or two new weak points it could exploit. Relenting the Tail Whip for now, the sudden stop seemed to upset the Spinarak greatly. With an antagonised hiss, the Pokemon began moving around wildly before jumping up and down on the spot vehemently. The top of its abdomen seemed to twitch erratically and with a straightened pose of its legs, the markings that bore a similar resemblance to that of a facial expression began to move surprisingly. From a neutral expression it changed into something absolutely terrifying. If the Zigzagoon wasn't going to act cute, the Spinarak was more than willing to make itself repulsively frightening in order to force it to act how it did at the start of the battle. Twitching fearfully on the spot, Ferra seemed a lot more terrified about approaching the spider. Wild Battle

Poor Ferra, her body was trembling terribly as the infatuated spider now became something absolutely terrifying. The spider's bi-polar personality was quite...interesting to observe, but even that nasty look sent shivers up one's spine, namely, Mikoto and Akao. However, Mikoto had noticed the spider's fond of cuteness, and if Ferra could hold her grounds, then they might succeed.
"Alright Ferra. Give it another Tail Whip, and make it as cute as you can!" Mikoto yelled. The raccoon wasn't sure if this was the best strategy ever, but she was going to give it a try anyways. Shaking off her fear, the little raccoon Pokemon now turned itself around again, wagging its behind in the most absolute adorable way it could, dancing about as it wagged. Mikoto had to resist the urge to just gather the bundle of brown into her arms and snuggle with it as the Zigzagoon did its part.

Scuttling from side to side, the wild Spinarak was still completely enthralled by Ferra's cutesy charm. Unfortunately, this meant that it was still going to absentmindedly rear up its abdomen and flash the scariest face imaginable. It wasn't that the Pokemon was malicious or villainous. Not in the slightest. But when it carried on like this so unaware, it was starting to become the spider's own fault. Mimicking a hideous looking face as its back arched up, Ferra noticeably quivered on the spot out of fear or perhaps revulsion. Instead, Ferra strutted herself to the side and with a quick swipe of her tail back and forth, laid on the charm some more. It could barely deal with the spider's horrible, scary face like markings but if it kept it at bay then so be it. Wild Battle
