(Temporarily retiring Lillet. Andrew granted me permission)
Name: Emeline Marie Creighton
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Trainer Type: Trainer
Hometown: Celadon City
Appearance: Emeline somewhat resembles a life size porcelain doll. Her skin is quite soft and pale; she buys plenty of exotic lotions and oils to keep it that way. She stands at 5'3" and has a rather slender figure. Emeline has bright, powder blue eyes and extremely long black hair. Her bangs delicately frame her face. Her dark hair falls just below her knees. There is almost always a brightly colored ribbon in her hair to match her current outfit. The young lady refuses to begin the day unless her hair, make-up, and outfit look exactly the way she wants.
Emeline's appearance is extremely important to her. She is constantly ordering new dresses, as well as matching accessories to go with each one. At the bare minimum, each one must have a matching parasol, silk fan, and hair ribbon to go with them. She is especially fond of Lolita fashion. It may seem odd for a pokemon trainer to walk down the road in such an extravagant getup. However, there is a reason behind this madness. If Emeline keeps up her elegant visage, she figures she will be more memorable to those she encounters along the way. It will be much easier to gain fame that way.
Personality: Emeline is the epitome of optimism. She is constantly complementing people on the most random things, often to the point of sounding like she's patronizing them. She acts like a big-sister type despite never having any siblings; she corrects people on things that she sees as 'improper' and will keep this up until satisfied with the result. Emeline is bubbly and a bit oblivious. She places importance on grace and refinement, viewing herself as a proper lady.
While the coin is rarely flipped, there are still two completely opposite sides to Emeline. Underneath her air-headed exterior lies a cold and calculating young woman who is always looking for more ways to further her career as a pokemon trainer. While she originally decided to train pokemon in order to expose Nigel as a member of Team Rocket, her motives have somewhat evolved(Hah! Pokemon pun!) since then. While she keeps telling herself it isn't true, Emeline is now seeking the attention and respect that she has been craving. This will give her a chance to be in the spotlight. People will see her and think, 'Hey! It's Emeline!' rather than, 'Hey! It's Herald Creighton's granddaughter/Beatrice Creighton's daughter!'. It was her turn to carry the weight of the Creighton family name.
History: Emeline was born into the rather wealthy and prestigious Creighton family. Her mother was Beatrice Creighton, who was the only child of one of the largest investors in Saffron City's Silph Company, Herald Creighton. Beatrice and her fiancee conceived a child on the night before their marriage. When Beatrice woke up the next morning, the man was nowhere to be found. He had gotten cold feet at the last moment and had skipped town. Beatrice never heard from him again. Nine months after that incident, Beatrice gave birth to a baby girl. She ignored the fact that the infant was the ***** child of the man that left her at the altar. Beatrice would raise her daughter as lovingly as any other mother would raise their own child.
Emeline grew up in the Creighton family manor on the edge of Celadon City. She was raised by her mother, grandfather, and the large number of servants that the family had employed. She never really noticed the lack of a father in her life too much. The few times she asked about him, she received a harsh scolding from her mother and was told to drop the subject. Eventually Emeline stopped caring about what kind of person her father could have been. After all, he was the one that decided to abandon them, not the other way around.
A few months after the ordeal with Team Rocket at the Celadon Game Corner, Beatrice decided to take over running it. After all, she had yet to do anything major to add to the family fortune. Besides, it was one of Celadon City's largest attractions. She couldn't just stand by and watch the Game Corner fall into decay. Not long after she had taken it over, Beatrice met a man named Nigel. They got along great and ended up getting married within the next few years.
Emiline had no problem with Nigel as her new step-father. He never meddled in any of her affairs, and he made her mother quite happy. It wasn't until she was on her way home from an afternoon of shopping that she found out that Nigel wasn't all he appeared to be.
As she rounded a corner on her way back to the manor, she heard a rather familiar sounding voice speaking with someone down a dark alleyway. There was no doubt in her mind that the voice belonged to Nigel. What was he doing in such a strange place speaking to someone? It was awfully suspicious, especially with how discreet he was being. Emiline crept down the alley as quietly as she could. She hid behind a dumpster so she could listen in to what was going on. The young lady had to ignore how undignified what she was doing was; she had to find out what Nigel was up to.
"Our plan is working out smoothly. The broad doesn't suspect a thing. Just because Team Rocket doesn't control the Game Corner directly doesn't mean we can't still turn a profit from the operation. The boss should get his next shipment of money shortly," Nigel said snidely to the man, who chuckled darkly in return. Emiline heard them laugh for a few moments longer before they walked deeper into the alley. She couldn't believe her ears! Nigel had been part of Team Rocket this whole time?! The shock quickly turned to anger. Not only had he been playing her mother, he had playing the whole Creighton family! This was unacceptable! Who could she tell though? There was no way she could tell her mother. She had already suffered one massive heartbreak in her lifetime. She would be in denial after news like this; Nigel could do no wrong in her eyes. Her grandfather wouldn't be a much better option. He had never really taken Emeline seriously because of what happened with her father. The old man would probably just assume it was another one of her little games. Emeline would have to take matters into her own hands.
As soon as she arrived home, the young lady returned to her room and began to devise a plan to expose Nigel for the fraud he was. Not only that, but she would personally crush Team Rocket underneath one of her silk slippers. Emeline would set out on her own and become a pokemon trainer. Nobody would question her when she told them her reason was 'to see all of the cute little pokemon out there and make lots of pokemon friends'. Nobody except for a small handful of her most trusted servants could see past the air-headed debutante mask that she had worn for as long as she could remember.
Her real reason for setting out on this journey was to gain enough fame to earn an appearance on world-wide television. It was then she would expose Nigel for the crook that he was. She would do everything in her power to destroy Team Rocket along the way. It was time for Emeline to finally leave the comforts on the mansion to strike out on her own.
Goals:
Other Info: While she still has access to her family's bank account for living expenses and the occasional shopping spree, Emeline has decided to limit her pokemon related purchases to the money she herself has earned as a trainer. She figures she'll be more respected that way rather than just buying her way to the top.
