I've been wondering since I've joined, are there any Zelda fans out there? This is me hoping and really just estimating highly that there are some on this site. If there are, anyone recently buy the new Zelda: Skyward Sword game? (cause I did)
If you have bought it, what do you like about it?

Oh man, where to begin. I picked this up after seeing some of the collector's editions and seeing as I had a little extra I thought why not. I had Saints Row 3 and Skyward Sword arrive at the same time and kinda sunk my time in SR3... However, having finished it and moving onto SS, I can't get over how much i'm enjoying it. It has this renewed feeling to it I think. The fact you can pick up Bomb Flowers and add them to your stock is pretty cool in contrast to old games and the opening setting has an interesting dynamic between Link and Zelda. I've been a Zelda fan as long back as I can remember so seeing a Zelda game that has just slapped me round the chops and immersed me in is always a good sign. The visuals are very nice, almost painting like.
I'd type more but its late but I have about a million and one other things I want to say about singing the game's praises. There's a few things i'm a bit iffy with to boot but its quality. And damn that Beadle... Chucking me out of his shop for windowshopping... *grumble grumble* Not sure if it's just me, but him on that bike looks so... Wrong. D:

Haha, I love the fact that one can pick up bombs from the flowers. My favorite feature however that's new of course is the fact that you can sleep in peoples beds. I love that style because now, no song needed to play to make it night time (WOOT!).
I'd say more but I don't know how far people are in the game.
I feel bad for you Alex, it's an awesome game. I've been playing it since I got it and well, it's just so addicting!

I love that aspect too. Felt a bit iffy at first jumping into some stranger's bed but then I realised... This is a lad who barges into people's homes and lobs their pottery about. ;D I even did it on Beadle's Shop and ended up in some weird far off island while he admired a colossal beetle of some sort. Another aspect i'm liking is the area of sky surrounding Skyloft. Just flapping from island to island harks back to one of my favourite games which is Skies of Arcadia. The whole unknown and exploration style is all good in my book. I've also noticed how a lot of love and attention have been crafted into the tiniest of things. It's things like that I really appreciate too. Glad they delayed the release to work on it some more to be honest. As for my progress, i've literally just beaten that Pyroclastic Fiend and am moving onto a desert area.

Haha, Yeah that toilet aspect is really awesome. I like that new addition of chairs/seats that heal you. Anyone else here hate that stupid Mia (that darn cat like lemur thing called a Remling)? I'm waaaaaaaay past that part. I'm actually halfway done with the game...Heh heh

Completed it just now and... Wow. What an ending. I think this pretty much confirms that this is the beginning of everything for the Zelda series. Crafting the Master sword, gaining all of the triforce pieces AND putting into motion Demise's curse which would be the cause and effect of all the other series events. Was seriously expecting Ghirahim to just turn around at the end and be all "here's Ganondaddy for ya!" And what was up with that mark on Demise's forehead? WW Ganon end much?

I have heard of the new Zelda Skyward Sword. I've been wanting to buy it but haven't had the money for it. I'm a huge fan of the Zelda games after all and collect them. I have most of the games after all, hehe.

I'm in the same boat as you, Pikachu. Wish I could play it, but not enough cash to pay rent, let alone buy a Wii XP Heh
