Andrew and Glint were happily greeting their new friend, when they heard a voice behind them. "Hey! You! You look pretty tough, how you captured that Spearow! Let's battle!"There was another trainer wandering around the lab.  Youngster Joey

Andrew quickly turned his head. A young boy stood behind him. He looked ready for a battle.
"Oh, you're on!" Andrew smiled. "I think I'll give Santeri a chance this time."
The Spearow grinned and spread its wings. It was ready for another battle again.

The Trainer smerked as Andrew sent out the Spearow he had just caught, " Hah hah! The Spearow, eh? Lets see if he can handle my Rattata! Go!" he cried, tossing a Pokeball into the air. "What do you mean 'if'?" Andrew laughed. "Lets go Santeri! Try using Peck!" Andrew ordered.
Santeri looked at his opponent keenly. He quickly attacked using his beak to try and hurt the foe.
"Speearooow!" he cried as he dashed at the Rattata.

"I mean...if you can handle us! Rattata! counter with a tail whip! you can do it! " Joey cried as Rattata swung it's tail slamming into Spearow during it's dive, though Spearow hit with peck on apower attack which easily knocked Rattata back. Spearow however was shaken by the tail whip and it's defense was effectively lowered! Battle

Andrew sneered.
"You're going down! Let's go Santeri! You're doing great! Use another Peck attack!"
The bird Pokémon watched its foe. It flew forward hastily and attempted to land another attack on the young trainer's Rattata.

"No way buddy! Rattata won't lose!!! I'll show you our power!!!" Joey cried out and in response to his cries Rattata countered Spearow's peck with a tackle. Rattata lunged into the air as Spearow dove in for a mighty peck and both pokemon slammed into each other each on with incredible force. Spearow was launched into the air! Rattata had hit with a critical attack! Though heavily damaged from the prior peck both pokemon seemed about the same strength. Spearow was quick to recover though, and back on it's feet. Battle

"We'll see about that!" Andrew yelled back at the trainer. "Hang in there Santeri!"
The Spearow shook it's head and quickly hopped to its feet. He seemed to be taking the battle very seriously.
"Use Peck!" the Spearow's trainer called out again!
"Spearrr-ow" the bird squawked as it aimed at the Rattata once more.

"NO WAY! Rattata show em QUICK ATTACK" Spearow was flying in for a dive when Rattata jumped into the air at blinding speed slamming into Spearow for a mighty blow. Rattata landed on it's feet as Spearow feel to the ground, but before it slammed into the hard earth Spearow recovered it's self and and pulled out of the dive and slammed into Rattata's back with a painful peck! Battle

"Try another Peck," Andrew commanded.
The Spearow flew straight into attack after just recovering from the Rattata's Quick Attack. It slowly swooped down at Joey's Pokémon, attempting to use Peck again.

"QUICK ATTACK AGAIN!" Joey cried out, and Rattata lunged to the air at lightning speed and was inches away from slamming into spearow when without warning Spearow did a loop and dodged quick attacking slamming Rattata into the ground. Spearow looked cock eyed down at it's opponent, sneering at Rattata's predictability. Battle

Andrew smiled as his Spearow began to get ahead in the battle. Santeri appeared to have a wide grin on its face too.
"Good work. Just keep up those Peck attacks!" Andrew ordered.
Santeri was feeling extremely excited. He was glad that he had decided to travel around with this trainer. He flew at the Rattata that lay on the ground using another damaging Peck attack.

"Let's use the same move too, Rattata!" cried Joey. "I know you can do this. Just keep Spearow in your line of sight this time." Rattata looked from his trainer back to the Spearow. It twitched its nose and raced quickly towards Santeri. Santeri tried the same maneouvre as before but could not get away in time. He decided instead to position his beak in the way so that Rattata would run into it. Both Pokemon crashed into each other and sustained heavy damage. Battle

"Keep at it, Santeri!" Andrew roared. "Show them what you've got!"
The brown Pokémon rushed with all its strength at the opponent's Rattata. It went so quickly that it was hard to see anything but a blur. The wind made a sharp sound as Santeri forced its way forward. Once again, it tried to use a Peck attack on the other Pokémon. It steadily aimed its beak at the purple rat's feet.

Battle
Spearow flew in with a tremendous amount of power and struck Rattata exactly were it had intended to, launching the poor pokemon into the air making it thud to the ground. Rattata grunted weakly and stood upon it's feet for a moment before falling over. Joey cried loudly at the defeat of his friend and picked up his Rattata in his arms and cried "NEXT TIME...your mine!!" (two level ups for Spearow!) Rattata | Level 5 | Health : 0% Status : Normal Santeri | Level 5| Health : 53% Status : Defense -1
