Personality Caroline is, to put it primly, a spoilt little brat. She believes that beauty is one of the things that matter most in life; and it is with this belief that she sails through the society in which she was born. She loves anything new – be it dresses, houses, or even that cruise ship that Daddy gave Mummy last Christmas. She adores material possessions and is somewhat of a collector.
However, despite her obviously shallow personality, Caroline is remarkably clever. She acts stupid at times to get what she wants – if her beauty doesn’t get it first. She despises people who are naturally stupid; it seems she almost believes such a person cannot possibly exist. Caroline has a vicious temper that can get completely out of hand at times. Although she has never thrown a huge tantrum, she has definitely come to level of foot-stomping and sulking.
Miss Steele loves reading. Actually, that’s a bit of an understatement. She devours books as one might chocolate cakes. Caroline has indeed been around the world... but somehow her real life adventures are never half as fascinating as the ones in her books. Caroline also adores drawing. Her mother has a natural talent for such a feat, and it surprised no one that Miss Steele took after her mother. Caroline enjoys drawing the various Pokémon around their family mansion, and although the more girly Pokémon do appeal to her, she always likes smuggling her father’s Aggron into the greenhouse to sketch.
Caroline is quick to laugh and never hesitates to put others before herself. Her father taught her that asset: “Treat others better and you’ll surely get something good in return. It’s called karma, darling!” She does have a slightly skewed idea of the world, however. It always surprises her to find others less fortunate than herself, for example. And the idea of camping is simply barbaric.
But despite her sheltered and wonderful life thus far, you would have thought that Caroline would be too petty and silly a girl to even think of looking after an animal, or indeed a person. Completely incorrect! Granted, Caroline has never actually owned a Pokémon before – but she has read enough to know and understand the basics.
Caroline is ridiculously romantic. She loves the idea of a knight in shining armour coming to sweep her off her satin-slippered feet... She thinks it stupid that her brother has not yet married. Although Caroline herself is distantly afraid of commitment, she feels that if she had somehow she cared about, that would not matter much.
Miss Steele is also very competitive. Whilst her friends are busy giggling about Pokémon Contests and the like, Caroline is vividly imagining heated Pokémon battles, powerful Pokémon moves and championship trophies. It seems that in every way she is feminine – but hand her a Pokeball and she suddenly morphs into Ash Ketchum.

History Caroline Rose Steele was born to Verity and August Steele on the 13th of December; a freezing cold night. Her parents loved her immediately, and she was only a few days old when she received her first twenty-four-carat-gold necklace.
Caroline already had an older brother: His name was Nathaniel, and he was to inherit his parent’s business and fortune. (Verity and August both dabbled in anything from perfume to mining.) Nathaniel – much like his parents – adored Caroline from the moment he saw her.
And thus began Caroline’s growing up. Showered with anything she so much as glanced at; pampered so much that her skin was a fair English rose complexion and she had never even heard of a spot; and worshipped by her parents and brother alike. Life was good for Caroline. Very good. Until she heard two words that almost shattered her fantasy completely.
“Boarding school?!”
August Steele eyed his beloved daughter irritably and dabbed his mouth with a gold-trimmed napkin. “Yes, my tulip. Boarding school. It’s an exclusive establishment in Jhoto. You will be very happy there, I assure you. ”
Caroline’s swivelled to her mother, who was inspecting the truffles with a vague distaste. “Mother,” Caroline spluttered, her eyes wide and reproachful. “You cannot be serious, surely.”
Verity looked up, her expression vacant. “I do not see why this is a conversation topic, my darling.” She paused to take a sip of wine. “You know how much Daddy and I love you – and we are only acting in your best interest.”
Caroline was rarely angry. Usually it was over petty things – such as the wrong colour lining of her winter cloak, or the fact her orange juice was not freshly squeezed with a dash of sugar. But this definitely took the cake. It was the first time Caroline could ever remember being angry at her parents.
And so Caroline Steele started to think. She did NOT want to be shipped off to boarding school. No way. Boarding school was for people who couldn’t afford tutors and private lessons. She could hardly understand why her parents wanted her out of the way. Surely they were not losing money?
But only by bribing her evening maid she managed to uncover the truth. Her parents thought her too spoilt.
Her parents thought she was a pampered little brat.
Caroline was so immensely frustrated she broke her favourite willow-patterned tea cup. And then she had an idea. A Pokémon journey. She would embark on a Pokémon journey. Where? Possibly Jhoto; most trainers started there after all. (According to her books.) Her brother Nathaniel had already been on his journey – made it to the Elite Four, no less. His Pokémon weren’t strong enough, though. So he came home.
But Caroline would be different to her brother. She would show her parents how trustworthy and courageous and wonderful and... unspoilt she really was!
It was a brilliant plan, if she did say so herself.
(Unsurprisingly, her parents agreed to the idea of a Pokemon journey. Apparently it would 'be much more beneficial than a stuffy old school.' Of course, Caroline did not mind what her parents thought. She had gotten her way, after all.)

Information No other information currently. Apart from the fact that Caroline wanted to take three suitcases and five trunks full of clothes on her Pokémon journey, but her father wouldn’t let her. Life is so unfair!

How? I found Zapdoszulu by simply Googling ‘Pokémon Heartgold and Soulsilver role play’. I’ve been scavenging for any scrap of information I can find on these games. I wanted Pokémon Heartgold originally, but when I found out Teddiursa was only in Soulsilver, I jumped ship.
