Sandy Katayko Can't you see me standin' here... ------------------------------------------------ Sandy sighed in relief as Berry took down the Diglett. She was quickly tackled by her Squirtle, who settled contently in her arms. Sandy giggled and patted Berry’s shell, kissing the top of her head before setting her onto her shoulder. Yawning gently, she turned to Ian only when he addressed her. He had been a lot more quiet towards the end of the battle, when his Diglett had gone down. She listened to him intently, and Berry recognized the look of sympathy that sparked in her eyes as he spoke of his parents.
<<Great…we’re going to have to help him, aren’t we?>> Sandy ignored her Squirtle’s disgruntled tone and gently took Ian by his arm.
“I understand now, and I promise I’ll see if I can find out why your parents are acting like they are…no guarantee that I can but you know, try your best and all.” She followed after Berry, still holding onto the boy’s arm as her Squirtle led her to a group of complex’s just outside of the city limits.
“So is this where you live? I can’t say it’s as Cozy as New Bark Town, but living outside a city is sometimes better than living in one.” In other words, it was better than nothing. She took a breath and then smiled at the boy who stood next to her before taking another breath, her look changing to a determined one.
“Alright…would you mind getting your parents to come out here for me?” She asked waiting to hear what Ian’s answer would be.

Sniffling as they walked along, Ian hesitantly leading the way, he listened to Sandy's words and reflected on them a great deal before responding tearfully. "I-I-I have an Auntie in N-N-New Bark... Its nice there. I like the lake." Falling silent as they made their way up a few flights of stairs to get to the apartment he lived in, Ian stood outside of the door and hanged his head low. "T-Thank you for doing this... Really." Nodding his head frenetically as she asked him to get them to come to the door, he slowly turned and froze the sight of the door. Gulping nervously, his hand outreached to the door knob and he faltered mere inches away. "I hope they don't get mad..." His hand finally falling onto the doorknob, the petrified youngster slowly pushed forward the door, creaks and all, to reveal an insight into the main living space. Now with nothing to muffle the chatter going on in a room out of view, it seemed that there were too people present. One with a feminine voice and the other a deep, male voice that seemed to travel better down the wall. "Onc... We get th... We'll be abl... To..." "Yea... Tha... Be great fo... Gain a lot of mo..." "Leav... Behi... To norma..." Their discussion seemed to pause abruptly as a sudden draft of wind tickled by and slammed the ajar door into the hallway wall. "WHAT WAS THAT?!" Yelled the woman's voice. A sudden pattering of feet later and out of nowhere appeared two figures. What was the most unexpected part was that they were both fully clad in familiar black garb and sporting an emblazoned capital red R on their chests and caps. "You've done it... IAN! What did I tell you about coming back home?! I told you to stay out until dinner!" The man shook his head and sighed wearily. "You were never meant to see this, son." The two parents were in actuality undercover Team Rocket grunts. Obviously sending off their son away into the open to play while they stayed at home and carried on with whatever tasks they had at hand for the glory of Team Rocket, it seemed their cover was slowly disappearing. "YOU!" Pointed the mother. "This is all your fault. I don't know why you're here but the fact you've turned up with Ian must mean you had to stick your nose were it wasn't wanted. Jeff?" Jeff sighed again wearily and went along with his wife's words. "Yes Clarissa... I think we shall have to take care of this loose end. Ultimately, nobody will believe Ian about our true identities." With the two of them both taking out a single Pokeball from their holsters, they threw them forward in sync and readied themselves for a fight. As their Vileplume and Victreebel came into view, it seemed the confrontation had escalated to new heights. "Once we beat you, we never want to see your face around here again." Warned Clarissa. Trainer Encounter
Ian's parents Clarissa & Jeff lash out for your intrusion! They send forth Vilplume (Level 24) & Victreebel (Level 26) for a double battle! Please select two Pokemon for battle.

Sandy Katayko Can't you see me standin' here... ------------------------------------------------ Sandy stepped back suddenly as Ian’s parents, who turned out to be members of Team Rocket, sent forth a Victreebel and a Vileplume. The two Pokemon were pretty intimidating due to their size, and both made Sandy nervous. She kept Ian behind her and even if glaring was never intimidating when it was her doing it, that’s what she did. A stern glare sent at the two adults.
“…I know you wouldn’t hurt your son…but I’m not going to let him live in the shadow of two thieves.” Before Victreebel or Vileplume could get too close, one of the Pokeballs in Sandy’s bag burst open, the light revealing her Quilava. Munchy raised himself onto his two legs and let out an intimidating growl, trying to ward off the two grass types.
<<Come any closer to her, and I’ll singe the leaves right off of your body!>> He snapped at the Victreebel, who was the closest to him. He wasn’t going to let either of these simple grass types hurt Sandy. Sandy silently thanked her Quilava and pulled another Pokeball off her belt.
“Come on Spirit!” She called, releasing her Ponyta. Sandy watched as the Fire Horse snorted, but he didn’t try to run from her since he seemed to know the severity of the situation she was in. Munchy’s steady glare may have also helped with his obedience, because that was pretty scary though Spirit wouldn’t admit it.
“If I win…I won’t call the cops but you’ll have less than three minutes to get out of here before I change my mind…and…and you’ll leave Ian with me.” She didn’t intend on caring for the boy of course, she wasn’t old enough for that, but she was sure that he had someone in his family to care for him, like the aunt he mentioned.
“Now, Munchy and Spirit act fast and use your Flame Wheel attacks, each of you attack Vileplume first!” She knew the dangers a Vileplume could hold were great, so it had to go first.

Sandy's words did little to diffuse the situation. If anything, they added more fuel to the fire. A throbbing angry vein seemed to appear on the side of Clarissa's face as he folded her arms and was ready to spit venom with her words. "I do not think that some stranger can really judge what is best for our family. You just come barging in from the outside and you think you're suddenly the voice of all reason. People like you make me sick!" Ian's father, Jeff, who seemed a lot less reactive merely shook his head solemnly. "Its not that simple at all. Unfortunately, you had to stumble in here and make matters ten times worse. We'll just have to take you out of the equation and get back to mildly troubling problems." Despite their provocative reactions to Sandy, it appeared the two of them had an unmistakable hint of hesitance to their demeanour. As their two botanical Pokemon marched forward, the sudden flare of fire in their abode seemed to make them falter. "Dammit Jeff! This girl just had to use Fire." The husband seemed hardly deterred, still maintaining the same level of cool headedness he had shown throughout. "No matter, we can beat them through team work." Clarrisa grunted and rolled her eyes. "Whatever, we'll shoo her off and get Ian back." Their two Pokemon seemed a little less enthusiastic. As Munchy snorted out to them a steadfast warning, they looked to one another and sighed. " We do this because we must." Retorted the Victreebel as it tried to enlarge its sac. The Vileplume fluttered its petals and continued. " If you try and walk all over us we won't hesitate to deal with you." Now that both sides had enough Pokemon for battle, it seemed as if things would finally come to a head. "Psch, ya think yourself all high and mighty. I'd like to see you in our situation. I'm afraid Ian will be staying with us. As his parents that should over rule everything! Vileplume! Take that silly ferret thing out by any means necessary!" Yelled Clarissa who noticed Sandy had decided to take that out first. With a devious glint in its eye, the Vileplume stood its ground as Munchy went flaring forwards in an inferno like wheel of pain. Not taking kindly at all to the way this uppity woman was speaking to his trainer, he really put everything in his attack. Smashing with a sear into the plant like creature, a mandrake like screech wrung throughout the building. The screech was only matched by the laughter coming from Clarissa's mouth. It appeared the woman had a counter measure for scenarios just like this. Leering her eyes into a feisty stare, she explained what was so funny... Although, the sudden splat of spore like dust that littered out of her Vileplume's stigma. Just as she opened her mouth, Munchy seemed to wane from side to side before collapsing right on the floor. "Ahahaha!" Her catty laugh was annoying to say the least. "You fell right into my trap. My Vileplume's special. The darling little petal sports the Effect Spore ability. Looks like you got unlucky and sent your own Pokemon to rest." Even though her Pokemon was dangerously hurt from the attack, it seemed to take great pride in its trainer's praise. "Ohohoho, we're not all that we seem in more ways than one." With Jeff suddenly stepping forward, it seemed that there was more in store. "I apologise for this but... Things unfortunately just happened to be this way." Turning to his Victreebel, the male ordered. "Rouse up a Leaf Storm and take this Ponyta out of the picture!" His Victreebel bounced up and down on its predominant vine and with a bulging pulsation of its banana yellow coloured sac, began putting its attack into motion. The steam coming out of Spirit's nose was defiant to say the least and the horse raked his hooves against the apartment's carpet. "Its time your Pokemon learnt a lesson." As he finished, an absolutely devastating sight unfurled to behold. From the gaping abyss that was the Victreebel's maw came a tornado like destructive force that boasted a green like hue due to all the leaves that comprised the attack. As they stormed forward, laying waste to everything in the nearby vicinity that it approached, Spirit's chances began to look shaky. Rearing backwards with his forelegs rallying against the force of nature, the Ponyta took the attack head on. As if being pulled up into the air against its will, Spirit was sent flying around in what limited space the apartment had to offer, colliding and slamming into all manner of furnishings all the while being viciously torn at with the razor sharp leaves mustered by the opponent. After enduring what seemed like an eternity of suffering, Spirit was dropped to the floor, the room falling silent. The silence was soon broken by the tempestuous snorting that could be heard from the renegade horse. Clambering back onto its feet, the diamond hard hooves it boasted seemed to indignantly clash against the flat's flooring. " That's not possible! No one's survived my Leaf Storm...!" The Vileplume seemed just as shocked, realising that the stubbornness of Spirit was going to mean an early grave for herself. " Oh no... Victrebeel, do something!" It was far too late however. By the time Victreebel tried to move into action, a blazing spurt of fire unrelentingly forced itself into the Vileplume's already wounded body. Sending the Pokemon whamming into an adjacent wall, it appeared that Spirit wasn't going to be swayed so easily. "Hm. That's pretty good..." Murmured Jeff who even he seemed impressed with the Ponyta's resilience. Catching wind of what he said, Clarissa turned on the spot and stamped furiously. "PRETTY GOOD?! You are such a moron Jeff! Now you're on you're own!" Realising his mistake, he covered his mouth. "Oh." This in turn only annoyed Clarissa further. "You, big, stupid... DUMMY!" Double Battle

Sandy Katayko Can't you see me standin' here... ------------------------------------------------ “Being a parent doesn’t mean hiding a double life, and it doesn’t mean that you should hide from your son by kicking him out of the house. Have either of you thought about how this was effecting Ian?” She calmed as Spirit looked back at her, her soft breathing becoming ragged as she attempted to get her point across. Anytime she thought of a double life, she thought of Leon.
“I may not know about being a parent, because I’m not one…but I know what it’s like to go behind people’s backs and lie in order to do something and see people, that in the end, you’ll regret ever thinking of in the first place!” somehow, when she looked at Ian,all Sandy could think of was Matthew. Just how many times had she brought him to the state Ian was in?
“I know because I’ve been both the betrayer and the betrayed…it hurts Ian, doesn’t it? You have to tell them how you feel, let them know what you want them to know… I don’t know if it will change a thing…but…” Too choked up to say much more, she swung her bag over her shoulder and walked over to Spirit. She pulled out a super potion, and for once, even the wild steed knew when he needed healing, for he stood totally still.
“I thought we could tell each other anything, Sandy…” She winced and moved over to Munchy, who was asleep on the floor. Taking out the last full heal in her bag, she sprayed it over him.
“Please, love? Love is just a clutch for the weak, people like you. You didn’t want to come with me, so you can stay here and rot for all I care.” Munchy opened his eyes upon feeling the spray and got to his feet. Sandy’s expression was unreadable for a moment before she finally murmured to herself.
“We’ll see who’s rotting, Leon...” Turning to stand straight, she called out to Spirit and Munchy.
“When the two of you feel ready, work quick and then I want each of you to use a Flame Wheel on Victreebel!” Sandy ordered. She knew the Super Potion and Full heal would have to take full effect first, but after that, she hoped both would be fit to carry out orders.
OOC: Just to Clarify, Sandy used a Super Potion on Spirit, and a Full Heal on Munchy, I updated both the items in my inventory, and she then ordered them to use Flame Wheel next turn~

Clearly torn by what Sandy had said, Clarissa began nervously chewing her nails as she tried to muster some sort of counter offensive to her righteous logic. "But... But... We wouldn't let him know we were leading this despicable life. At least Ian can run about outside and keep himself entertained with his Pokemon friends instead of getting dragged down by this horrible life." Her words wrung hollow however and as Sandy empathised not on the same level as a mother but in as a person who had also suffered such a circumstance, Clarissa began to weep subtly with small droplets of tears in her eyes. Leaving the battle in such an awkward position made Jeff very reluctant to order. Instead he safely let Sandy attend to her Pokemon's wounds before clearing his throat with an order. "You should have left the steed to fall unconscious. My Victreebel's Stun Spore clouds are very debilitating." Coughing up the spores, Victreebel fanned them forwards with its leaf like arms and watched as the recently healed Pokemon fell victim to more infuriating problems. "All we ask of you is to just leave and let us get on with it..." Murmured Jeff. His request would go unheeded however as Sandy's deceptive determination was truly coming through. Having just ordered another double combination of Flame Wheels, Jeff was concerned to safeguard his own. "Dammit! If you want to fight to the end, then so be it. Victreebel, SUCKER PUNCH!" His command was booming and just as he did, Clarissa burst out with an angry screech of her own. "JEFF! Will you just leave it... The girl's right... We're terrible parents... Call off your Pokemon!!" Stumbling at his wife's sudden outburst, Jeff looked over and sighed remorsefully. "Too late, Victreebel's launched his attack." True to his word, his large planted Pokemon was no longer visible. As both Munchy and Spirit were charging forward, they screeched to a halt due to a lack of a target. It was then that Victreebel re-emerged out of nowhere and with a blinding swipe of its body, sucker punched into Spirit, leaving the horse in a terrible state. A lot more terrible considering its paralysed status this time around. Now that it had revealed itself, Munchy was quick to act and with a jolt forward of itself in a rounded tire like roll, burst into the Grass type with an expulsion of fire. Neighing wildly, Spirit wasn't going to let this pass up either. Fighting every restraint in his bones from the effects of the spore, the fiery horse staggered about wildly, trying to rebel against the oppressive paralysis. As stubborn as he was, Spirit amazingly broke out of it and with a cloak of fire now covering his body, stormed forward into Victreebel, causing the Pokemon to shrivel up in agony as it did everything it could to fend off the burning flames that had engulfed it. Only when it had fallen to the floor and become black with the charred embers dying down on it that victory had become clear. Double Battle

With the two parents now absolutely gobsmacked from having had their Pokemon beaten so easily, they remained frozen in shock. Only after a couple of minutes did they both simultaneously turn their heads to look at one another and almost psychically confer with one another. The look in each of their eyes was telling enough to the other partner. Remaining silent, they both stripped from their uniform on the spot and slung their nefarious Team Rocket attire on the floor. With their uniform off them, they looked a lot more normal. They even seemed to be parent like in their demeanour. A look of deep regret and sadness on both of their faces, they obviously had something they wanted to spill. With Jeff putting an arm around Clarissa's side and bringing them both forward as she began to sniffle, he spoke out in a solemn tone, doing all that he could to justify and reason out their actions. "Look... I know you probably think the worst of us. Shoving our kid out onto the street and us being part of Team Rocket... But it ain't such an open and close case. We never really wanted to join Team Rocket... We had no choice." Clarissa seemed to burst out into more tears as Jeff iterated their lack of choice in the matter. "We're pretty much bankrupt. All our savings went down the drain and we were forced to sink so low to provide a goddamn meal for Ian. We always put our son first, even if it meant... Joining them scumbags..." Clarissa wept some more but somehow found the strength to part with her words. "PLEASE... I love Ian... He's our only son. You can't just force us away from him." Seeing Ian behind Sandy, she became even more hysterical. "Ian, IAAAAAAAAN ohboohoohoo!" Peering around from Sandy, Ian seemed torn himself. So much so the young lad was unable to even mutter a word under his breath. If anyone was in control of the decisions here, it was Sandy. Shedding off their uniform, Clarissa and Jeff beg you to pick them! Do you decide to believe in their promises of change or send off Ian to live with his relative in New Bark Town?

Sandy Katayko Can't you see me standin' here... ------------------------------------------------ (Dropping Tackle for Flame Charge on Spirit)
Sandy watched as her Pokemon managed to bring down the plant Pokemon, and walked over to Spirit, placing a hand gently on his snout. Spirit didn’t move, and it wasn’t because he was Paralyzed. He was entranced by her Pale Blue eyes, eyes which reflected much of the sadness and regret the girl seemed to harbor herself. All of it seemed to have been reflected in what Clarissa and Jeff had done. The normally rebellious horse didn’t make a move to bat her hand away, but remained staring back at her. It wasn’t until she said something that he was snapped out of it.
“Thank you Spirit, good work.” She murmured finally, gently kissing the horse’s cream colored nose. Spirit still didn’t react, and for once let her return him without protest. Munchy was at her feet by now, and Sandy picked him up off of the ground and let him onto her shoulder, where he settled with his cheek against hers. If anything, Sandy was the only one Munchy ever showed any kind of affection to. The next time Sandy had tuned into what was going on, Ian’s Parents had shed their Team Rocket Garments, now wearing normal clothes. She stepped back next to the younger boy and put a hand on his shoulder as she listened to them explain.
So they had been forced? Sandy at first, had suspected something like this, but those accusations in her head had been washed away when it seemed the two adults actually liked what they did. She scanned Clarissa’s eyes first, followed by Jeff’s. Munchy seemed wary, but finally, Sandy made her choice.
“…When I met Ian…he was in a terrible mood…and he asked me if I could figure out what was wrong with his parents.” She paused to scratch behind one of Munchy’s ears as she found her words again.
“and so we did find out. This isn’t the only way to deal with debt though, I’m sure… if anything, if one person on team Rocket fails, it may as well drive the whole company one step further towards debt themselves…” She looked to Ian finally.
“But as long as you will change how you are…Ian can stay where he is. It was obvious to me he loved the both of you, but I wasn’t sure until now that you were really fit to take care of him… but how you looked at him, reminded me of how my parents look at me.” She looked back at Ian once more, as her eyes had wandered to his parents, and spoke to him directly.
“You feel like you’ll be okay here, don’t you Ian?” Her voice was a lot cheerier while she was speaking to him, than it had been speaking to his parents.

Bolstered by Sandy's words, Ian slowly began to creep from behind her and to stand next to her side. His cap was lowered down to cover his eyes which were now damp with tears but his bottom lip could be seen trembling evidently. "I... I... Yeah." Bursting out with some more tears, it had come to the point where Ian was now crying over how happy he was to finally have his parents back. As he began crying, both of his parents dashed over to comfort him, Clarissa enveloping her motherly arms around him as Jeff hugged them both. "Oh shh now Ian... We're sorry we had to put you through that. We never wanted to. Its just... There seemed little alternative." Now crying herself over how stupid they had been, Clarissa embraced her son tighter. Jeff was saddened too but as he looked up to Sandy, the tears seemed to well even greater in his eyes. Sandy's act of kindness had well and truly moved the man's emotions. "I must thank you as well. I can imagine its not exactly easy to put some trust in a couple who had just been uniformed in that awful get up..." Nodding his head, he finished what he was saying. "Thank you." Although this was a scene of reunion and happiness, there were still some pressing matters that weren't simply going to dissolve away. "I just wonder how we'll deal with our money problem." Looking up at Sandy, he quickly dismissed asking for her help. "Oh no! Don't worry... It's just the problem that forced us to take up arms with the Rockets to begin with. There were some other options but... I was too proud to consider them. I guess I must go back on my decision and follow through with them." Diverting his attention back to Ian, he picked off his cap and ruffled his hair. "We can more than look after ourselves if Team Rocket comes knocking. Which brings me to an important matter. You're a capable trainer so I hope you might be able to make use of this information. While we were in their ranks, we heard a lot of talk about something BIG happening in Mahogany Town's Lake of Rage. Its far off but as you're so capable, you might want to look into it." As silence fell on the room aside from the sobs coming from Ian and Clarissa who seemed to be overjoyed at being able to rid his parent's dirty secret, Jeff clicked his fingers and realised there was one more port of call. "Here, you might as well take some of the stock Team Rocket was getting us to pedal." Disappearing momentarily as he went into a separate room, he came back with two odd looking Pokeballs in his hands. "There you go." He said with a look of happiness on his face after being rid of such wares. "I'm not too sure why but they figured these would sell like hotcakes. Obviously stolen goods off the back of a lorry but... That doesn't matter anymore. I'd sooner you take them. If not as a reward for beating us but thank you for conciliating Ian with us." Not taking no for an answer, he stuffed them in Sandy's hands. Clarissa & Jeff hand you a Quick Ball and Timer Ball as thanks! "If there's anything else we can do, we'll be more than happy to help you." Looking down to Clarissa, he let out a sigh and asked for her help. "I suppose we best clean up this room now, eh?" Clarissa sniffled and stood up. "Sure... Let's clean this all up so we can be a happy family once more." Clarissa moved over to pick up a broken lamp and then spoke out to Ian. "Why don't you show Sandy out? I bet she's probably wanting to rest up after this whole affair." Ian looked to his mother and nodded and after taking Sandy by her hand, pulled her over to outside the apartment's front door. As they made it outside, he stopped and looked off the balcony like corridor and remained silent. Perhaps the events of today were weighing heavily on his mind or he just needed a few seconds breather, he eventually responded to her. "I feel really bad. I was being really mean to you earlier and you've gone out your way to help me so much." Moving his cap out of the way so his face could be seen, the young boy still seemed to have tears in his eyes. "I have something for you. I think you could use it on a Pokemon who's come to really appreciate you. If they have, it'll be as strong as their bond towards you!" Taking out a disc shaped object, he handed it to Sandy and forced a smile over his tear filled face. For seeing him through this sordid ordeal, Ian hands you TM27 Return! Stuffing his hands immediately into his shorts as the gift was imparted, he began to look around flusteredly. "If you're ever in the area, i'd always be happy to play in my... I mean, our special patch of Route 34." As he finished, his eyes trailed off back into his house and he sighed. "I better go help my parents. S-See you around!" Waving, the youngster quickly hurried off back into the house to help rebuild the living room. - Thread unreserved by Joey. Hope you enjoyed it. -

Sandy Katayko Can't you see me standin' here... ------------------------------------------------ Sandy yawned as she woke up the next morning, Patting Muru’s head to let her know she had to get up. Yesterday had been quite eventful, but with Ian’s problem solved she had gone back to the Pokemon Center for her and her Pokemon to get some earned rest. She pulled the covers off, leaving Muru in the bed to entangle herself in them as she continued to sleep. She headed to the bathroom and worked on washing her face and brushing her teeth, next combing out her hair. She hadn’t gotten a thing done with Spirit the day before, but she’d try again today.
“Okay boy, relax....just…there we go! That’s not so bad is it? You look great!” Spirit suddenly felt doomed that he had been roped into letting her put the saddle and gear on him, something about yesterday must have been playing with his brain still. Sandy smiled genuinely at him before stuffing his Pokeball back in her bag.
Spirit of course, sent her a look that told her that he would hate her if she tried getting on him, and Sandy was already aware this was the farthest she was getting. Though still hailing, the weather was still okay today, and Sandy yawned, glad she had left her room today. It meant of course, another day of training.

R O U T E 34- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
With hail smattering the ground, most Pokémon had hidden away to avoid the bad weather. But one such creature managed to ignore the ice pellets, having sensed a chance for an excellent meal. Too many times had it been deprived of food, its enemies snatching prey before it had a chance. With a startlingly loud hiss, it drew closer to Sandy and Spirit, attracted by the heat that the young Ponyta exuded.
This was a perfect hunting day, as any plucky Zangoose wouldn't want to brave the weather to bother a Seviper. It slithered through the grass with ease, hidden by the tall, waving stalks, circling around to face Sandy. It knew better than to try and take down Spirit while the trainer was near. But without a human to guide it, her tame little pony would become confused and panicked, making for an easy meal.
"Sssssevipahh!" the serpent hissed as it slithered out from the grass, formidable as ever. Its tongue darted out between its large fangs several times, tasting the air for Sandy's reaction. The Seviper coiled itself near the blonde girl, dragging its bladed tail across the ground as if to try and intimidate her. It let out another hiss before striking forwards and drawing back just as quick, letting her know that she would have to act quick if she didn't want to be on the receiving end of a nasty bite.
A wild Seviper (Level 17) has issued you a challenge!

Sandy Katayko Can't you see me standin' here... ------------------------------------------------ Sandy backed up at the sight of the Seviper in front of her, keeping Spirit behind her. Spirit on the other hand, was busy staring at Sandy. He snorted as he recalled the events from the day before and growled to himself. He wasn't to become soft, and he wouldn't. Though, this girl was now in charge of his life as much as he hated to think of it, and he would need to help her out.
He pushed her from the way with his Muzzle and stared down the Seviper, giving a few snorts of warning. Tapping his hooves a few times on the ground, he kept in front of her, and Sandy wasn't sure what to make of this. It was clear he didn't want anything to do with her half the time, and yet he was protecting her?
<<Don't think I'm going to make an easy snack.>> Spirit warned before charging. Maybe this was a matter of pride, or maybe it was to protect her, Sandy just couldn't figure it out. She instead watched as he formed a Flame Wheel.
"Spirit, you-" She decided it was better not to say anything. At least he was battling.

Blazing forward with the wildly spirited fires on its back igniting even fiercer than before, Spirit was looking fiercely intimidating as it advanced on the wily snake who had dared to make itself known to them. Letting out a belligerent snout with his nostrils, it was next to impossible not to be swayed by such a striking picture. The diamond hard hooves digging into the ground and tearing up the flooring only added to Spirit's storming charge. Fanning its flames even harder, it wasn't long before Spirit was enveloped in a spiralling whirl of flames that looked evocative to that of a racing wheel. Letting out one final mighty neigh, Spirit leapt up off the ground and hurtled downwards at the Seviper who had stood its ground foolishly in an attempt to make itself seem tougher than it looked. Taking the full blow of Spirit's weight and searing flames, the snake coiled backwards and hissed as his tongue flayed around in all directions. Amazingly, despite the ferocity of Spirit's heat, the Seviper somehow overcame its initial burning sensation and seemed to fight through it. Whether or not this was because of its shedding nature as a snake was open to debate but instead of backing away, it coiled itself around and tightly wrapped itself. With Spirit now charging around wildly to try and shake loose the vicious snake, Seviper grinned coyly with a disastrous look of scheming on its face. All of its body was coiled down tightly, all except its tail. With a raise of it in the air, it slashed forward. Blade like as it was, a Seviper's tail also carried a large number of dangerous toxins that had proven to fell even the sturdiest of foes. Slashing it along the side of Spirit, the Pokemon let out a pained cry and stumbled onto the floor as the critical severity of the attack sunk in. Uncoiling itself from such a vicious strike, the Seviper slinked off into the sanctuary of the tall glass and could be heard hissing over how confidently pleased it was over its harsh attack. Not only had it dished out as good as it had received but it had poisoned the poor horse as well. Stumbling to get back up, Spirit seemed unwell as his body convulsed from the poison now coursing through his veins. This entire round would prove a testament to the Seviper's deadly Poison Tail ability. Wild Battle

Sandy Katayko Can't you see me standin' here... ------------------------------------------------ As Spirit wobbled uncomfortably, probably from the poisons running through his veins, Sandy ran forwards, placing her hands on his sides to keep him steady. The dazed Ponyta tried to shake its head clear, but felt very much like he couldn’t. He was seeing colored dots by this point, and Sandy patted him gently.
“Spirit, You’re in no shape to battle anymore…” Without much protest this time, the flaming steed allowed Sandy to return him, and she quickly brought out another Pokeball before the Snake could come at her. Hiroki appeared in front of her in a bright flash. She felt bad he’d be taking a hit, but since he was resilient, she was sure he could take it.
“Hiro, when you can, please use Earthquake.” She mentioned as he turned to look at her. Hiroki understood, looking at the dangerous snake, why she sounded so nervous. Sandy had never been scared of snakes, but this oenw as big enough that it’d make anyone nervous. No matter though, he’d take care of it as soon as the chance came to him.

Hissing full of pride as it surveyed its handiwork at poisoning Spirit, the Seviper was certain it could gain the upper hand here. Of course, these would all be more applicable if the Seviper actually had hands but nevertheless. Slowly dithering from side to side, the vicious snake was gearing itself up for what it thought would be the final strike. Seconds before it lurched forward, using its lengthy body in a spring like way to propel itself forward, Sandy made the swap to pick up the slack for poor Spirit. As it flew threw the air, it had a horrible realisation in its mind that it had wrongly picked a time to strike. Taking the necessary precautions to defend herself, the snake felt its body weigh down thanks to the effects of gravity. Noticing that a brown mole like creature had now taken that fiery steed's place, the black snake did all it could to make an offensive strike. Opening its gaping maw wider, it bit down with its reddened fangs. Having seen the snake coming from a mile away, Hiroki had done everything he could to avoid it from coming but was alas caught out. The fangs seemed to pierce by the back of the mole's head but miraculously, Hiroki somehow broke free underground. Now safely hidden, the Seviper seemed confounded by the sudden disappearance of its foe. Lifting its neck up high to check down the molehill which had been made, it let out a horrid hiss at being cheated off a fell. Turning its evil eyes to that of Sandy, the snake began to slink over. If she wasn't going to send anything else out, then she was fair game. It wasn't as if she was completely innocent. Having lured him out with the warmth of Spirit's flames, he began to view her as the real culprit behind this all. Hissing louder and louder, it was about to give her a slight nip when something piqued its interest from behind. Craning its neck round, the Seviper was alarmed to see the trickery little mole had returned. As hard to anger as Hirko was, his genteel patience was running thin. Closing its eyes, the mole was happy to follow Sandy's order. Allowing him to show off his true might, the Diglett went full force as he began to manipulate the very Earth's crust to his whim. Focusing the shifting of the tectonic plates on the insidious snake, the world around it seemed to be unable to hold still through the Seviper's eyes. Reeling around at the intense discomfort of being shaken around so much as well as the jarring sensation of mounds of earth whamming up into it, it wasn't long before the snake lost consciousness. Unfortunately for it, waking up after Sandy had passed was out of the question. Through the intense effort his attack, a large fissure had emerged in the ground. With the snake's large body gently tipping itself deeper down into the crack starting with its bladed tail, it wasn't long before the whole of the Pokemon's body slipped down into the abyss. A job well done by some standards. Wild Battle
